Since SAP acquired Frictionless Commerce, I was wondering if it would be possible to integrate Frictionless Legal Contracts to SRM Contracts.

There is no standard interface available out of the box b/w SAP E Sourcing and SRM7.0. However you can create a custom XML/ flat file based interface with help from XI/PI expert.
SRM 7.0 doesnot offer contract authoring feature.

   You can use any catalogs which support SAP OCI interface.

   MDM Server(contents) and AS Java(for UI) are required. Please check the installation guide.

Yes. You can use Import Manager. No issues.

Any. Even for DB interface is also supported. You see all options when you run import manager.

Sample repository definition is delivered. You can manually create 1 entry by Data Manager.

You can use contract and contract items are transfered to Catalog.

HR Org.Structure Integration with SRM

Experts,
I am working on a SRM 6.0 implementation. My client already have SAP HR setup.
Would you recommend to use the HR Org.Structure integration or to maintain a separate SRM Structure? If you have any experience with HR integration I would really appreciate a brief pros and cons.

This is very old post but I need related info for HR integration with SRM.
I am an HR guy and our SRM team wants us to suggest an attribute they could tie to Spending limit on purchase order but have not came up with any.
Any of you have done this before? Normally - how does spending limit tied to person for purchase order?
They also wants the cost directed for Cost center and its a FI object not HR and we don't maintain owership relationship on this, Any idea's if how we can achieve this?
All responses and/or some documents are greatly appreciated.

Kanban integration with SRM

Hi,
We have implemented SRM 5.0 with MM-SUS scenario and backend system is SAP R/3 4.7.
In present scenario, schedules generated through MRP are available on Suppliers portal for ASN generation.
Now we are planning to go for KANBAN process in R/3 and integration with SUS.
Our requirements are as follows
1) MRP generated schedule releases in R/3 must be available on supplier portal as indicative schedule
2) KANBAN generated schedules in R/3 must be available on supplier portal as active schedule against which supplier will be able to generate the ASNs.
3) On schedule generation the same should be communicated to supplier and 3PL (transporter) through email / SMS.
Please let me know the feasibility of the above requirements in SRM. Whether it can be done with standard process or development is needed.

Purchase Orders exist in ECC backend (as their SRM Confirmations being Goods Receipt in ECC).
Invoice is based on ECC data, that's why i say, for me, there is no link/integration between VIM and SRM: documents used by VIM are the ECC ones.

ERP release for Central Contract Management with SRM 7.0 EhP 1

Hi all,
i would like to have clarification with ERP and SRM release combinations regarding SRM 7.0 EhP1.
Indeed, the "Software Component Matrix for SAP SRM 7.0 EHP1", for Operational Contract Management, tells 'EHP 5 for SAP ERP 6.0 required'.
Moreover, in RKT dealing with SRM EhP1 delta overview, ERP 6.0 with EhP5 is mandatory for an upgrade to SRM7.01.
Nevertheless, i would like to have confirmation regarding this point.
We do not want to use PI to execute the Enterprise Services for CCM. So, we intend to switch BF SRM_WSRM_1 on.
But on the ERP side (EhP5), the only BF dealing with Contract Management is LOG_MM_P2PSE_2 which description is about Service Procurement (and more exactly for item hierarchies).
Does it mean we can use SRM 7.01 with ERP 6.0 EhP4 and without PI but only if we do not use Central Contracts with service hierarchies ?

Yes.
When Central contract was designed in SRM 7.0 with ERP EhP4, it was designed with no service hierarchy. But in SRM 7.01 Central contral was enhanced to handle service hierarchy and it works with ERP EhP5. The problem is when we have SRM 7.01 and ERP EhP4. To handle this complication SRM 7.01 was designed to send flat service lines to EhP4 and lower release even though Central contract in SRM has service hierarchy. So while transfering to ERP EhP4 system in standard, all outlines are not consider for transfer and only service lines (Functional items) are transferred to ERP. To do so user needs to maintain the backend destination information of the connected backend system in table BBP_BACKEND_DEST via SM30 transaction with correct system type (for EhP4 system it will be ERP_4.0 and for EhP5 ERP_5.0). SAP Standard program checks this while XML generation for transfer and if system type is ERP_4.0 system it removes all outlines from temp table before generating the XML data. When it is done, ERP has only service lines in its XML and it does the manupulation to create the replication of central contract.
Master Guide (Including Upgrade Information) - SAP SRM 7.01 states:
"The use of SAP NetWeaver PI is optional but it is required for outbound XML-based messaging or for connecting non-SAP planning or execution systems."
So service hierarchy is possible in SRM 7.01 and ECC 6.04 but only with PI. For other CCM functionalities, SRM 7.01 and ECC 6.04 without PI works fine.

Dear All,
I have a development over here where the prerequisite of integrating the Movilizer platform with SRM 7 for shopping cart mobile approval is to check the function module on Remote-Enabled.
As of SAP enhancement package 2 for SAP Supplier Relationship Management 7.0 (SAP SRM 7.0), Changes have been made to some standard function modules so that they are no longer RFC-enabled.
Please refer the below link for your reference.

If the same function module is used by Movilizer and they are no longer RFC-enabled, please do check on that. I will keep you updated on our resolution.

Error in User integration with SRM

Hi Everyone,
We are using SRM5.0 and Classic Scenario. We have a issue with user integration.
One user for whom i am trying to integrate into SRM system but it is not integrating properly.
In USERS_GEN, I am getting error as ' Assignment : Business partner person to the user is not unique'.
And in PPOSA_BBP , when i try to see the user organizational assignment, i could see that the assignment is properly done.
But the BP of the user is missing. Only CP and the user ID is avaiable without BP number.
And in the details of the position (for this user), there is a error 'Attribute check for (position name) failed'.
I could see that all the attributes are maintained correctly and also i tried replicating the HR data again by PFAL, but nothing succeeds.
Please provide some suggestions of how it can be solved.

Hi,
You can correct the users by deleting the assignments of the users in transaction PPOMA_BBP and then adding assignments of the users again.
For this purpose, position the cursor on the business partner of the user, select the context menu with the right mouse button and choose 'Delete -> Assignment'. Note the business partner number and then assign the business partner to the position again. Restart transaction
USERS_GEN to check.

CFolder integration with SRM

When i create a colloboration folder from bid invitation by clicking create, the cfolder is created correctly. I can log on to cfolders directly and see that it created cFolder for bid invitation correctly. However, after clicking create button, and create button goes away and cFolder link is there, when i click on it, i recieve the following error message:
The following error text was processed in the system:
BSP Exception: the Application Name cfx_rfc_ui in URL /sap/bc/bsp/sap/cfx_rfc_ui/area_de.htm?p_col_id=DEB8F181971056F1ABF2001C23BE9EDD&p_area_id=DEB8F181971057F1ABF2001C23BE9EDD&p_role= is invalid.
My user ID, the creator of the bid invitation has all standard CFX roles assigned to it in the PLM server. The RFCUSER in the RFC destination has all the CFX roles assigned to it (in PLM server) and is integrated in to the SRM org.
Why role is invalid?
Couple of other questions, the complete URL in the error above has the SRM host name, so appears to me based on the URL that SRM is validating role, and the ICF service being called (cfx_rfc_ui) is also at the SRM level. There arent any CFX roles existing in SRM and /sap/bc/bsp/sap/cfx_rfc_ui doesnt exist in the SRM ICF framework. This may be nothing, i would of just expected when clicking the colloboration, it would take me to the PLM server.
It seems I have missed a piece of configuration or something? Do i need to install the CPRXRPM add-on to SRM to get this to work? Any insight is appreciated, I am at a total loss.
Again, the colloboration folder is being created in the background with no issues. RFC connections work. Once cfolder is created i am uable to accesss as buyer/rfx creator from the bid invitation. No issue if log directly in cFolders.
Please help SRM experts!

Yes, i had to submit an OSS message that got kicked around a bit and ended up with development team at SAP. I spoke with the developer on the phone and if I remember correctly, he indicated one of the support packs activated the badi BBP_CHANGE_URL, can not be sure if this is the root cause as it was phone call and I have no documentation of root cause.
the fix was to de-activate the badi BBP_CHANGE_URL.
We did that, works fine, and did not affect any other business scnearios.

HR Org. integration with SRM 5.0

Hi,
We are trying to integrate HR org. structure from ECC 6.0 into SRM 5.0. We have replicated the Org str. with O, C, S Object types. But since the HR org. has 25000 Employees assigned to it, we are not sure about how to go about this.
If we replicate all these 25k employees and do not assign roles to them, can we create Shopping Cart on their behalf?

Our situation is like this:
Our HR Org str. has multiple Org Units and has got approx 25K employees assigned to it. We are trying to replicate this to SRM 5.0. While doing so, we have the following doubts in our minds:
1. Since only 250 people out of 25K use SRM, how can we handle this situation? After we will replicate the 25K employees, it will create a BP in SRM. And to create a SC on behalf of someone else, we need to assign a user id to the BP. Please correct if my understanding is not ok. Please give your suggestions.
2. Can all the employees be replicated into SRM w/o affecting the system performance during Workflow?
I have completed all the ALE config with all Infotype filters in ECC 6.0, but when I try to replicate from R/3 (PFAL), no employee data gets replicated to SRM. Can anyone suggest a reason for this?

Requisite integration with SRM 7.0

Hello,
We are upgrading now SRM 5.0 to SRM 7.01 IE8 with Requisite catalog but the catalog doesn't work.We get the following message:
Page not found. Refresh the page or try again later. If the problem persists, contact your portal administrator for assistance.
Are there any specific settings which needs to be done ?
I know by the way it's not supported and that SAP recommends SRM MDM catalog but that's way too big for us so we want to give it a try forst with Requisite.

Thanks for your tip. It doesn't work though for us. I have entered the parameters in the call structure with seq numbering 74 and 75 (last ones) and type Fixed value).
Do you have it working the Requisite catalog on SRM 7.01 ? Any other parameters we need to set ?

Integrating with SAP SRM 4.0

I'm currently involved in an e-procurement project that will have to integrate SAP SRM 4.0 with the EAI solution of our company (webMethods).
As I don't know much about SRM 4.0 technology, I'd like to know the standard way of integration with SRM 4.0:
- Is SRM 4.0 capable of exposing IDocs?
- Is SRM 4.0 capable of invoking BAPIs?
- If so, how can a Purchase Order put into the arguments of the BAPI?
- Is SRM 4.0 compelled to talk with XML messages (particularly SOAP XI) or are IDocs and BAPIs a suitable solution?
- Is SRM 4.0 standard output xCBL?
- Can SRM 4.0 expose and invoke Web Services natively?
In other words, I'd like to know whether we are obliged to use the XI Content of SRM 4.0 in order to integrate with webMethods. We have already done integration with R/3 4.6 and we used IDocs with the SAP Adapter. We would like to capitalize on our previous experience and save us from having to assess the feasibility of an integration with SRM via XI.

Hi Marcel,
Underlying technology is WAS (Web Application Server) which is an enhanced version of the middleware BASIS technology used by 46C. XI is a replacement for messaging platforms like webmethods, so if you are using webmethods with SAP adaptor you don't need to use XI because you are already using a messaging platform. Only reason you may want to use XI would be if you can build upon the XI content available to you. If you are not interested in the XI content then go ahead and use webmethods using SAP adaptor to connect to SRM. I don't see any problem in that.
