Friends & Family Add-on

Anyone else still paying for Friends & Family Add-on when in their BT list it states you do not have this service.
I have been trying to get rid of it for years, every time i contact BT, i ask for it to be removed and i am still paying the £1.55 a month - This time round i checked to see what services i have and now it does show i do not have the friends & family add on - but i am still paying the £1.55 a month. 
Yes i am one of those, who does it all online, and to be honest never checked my bills, when i receive my BT email.
Any chance you think, of me getting my £1.55 back for the last odd 3 years.

    Hello, My Husband and I have been customers for several yr now and have recently had to go from the Mins.  to the 1400 min plan due to the fact that a couple of my friend are not on Verizon, but the rest of our family is on Verizon  so now it gives me the option to add my friends to a list and it won't cost me mins. well that's great but now that I have the list which only consists of my two friends I have  used less then 200mins in a month and I've had the 1400 min plan now for about 2 1/2  months so why can't Verizon take and make the 700min plan have two or three friends and a family for those that really can't afford to the extra $20.00 a month and especially now days with the economy being the way it is. I think it would benefit a lot of people that don't even come close to using 1400mins or really can't afford to add the extra $20.00

    A lot of people are in your situation.  The Friends & Family feature of the 1400+ minute plans can easily drop down your usage below the 700 minute point.  Part of the reason the F&F numbers are only included on higher priced plans is because of the number of minutes many people get for "free" when using them.  I don't think we're likely to see them included on the "budget" plans of 700 minutes for Family Share or 450 for Individual.
    I think the best way to save money in your case would be to look at your usage, and try to maximize your night and weekend minutes.  Keep your calls to other Verizon users during the day, and then call the non-Verizon folks during "off-peak" times.  Maybe with a little diligence, you can reduce your usage far enough that you will be able to move back to the 700 minute plan.
    You could also look into doing something like using Skype (or another computer program with cheap VOIP calling) for some of your calls at home to take pressure off your cellular minute allowance.

    I'm currently on the Unlimited Evening & Weekend Plan with Friends & Family Mobile and Friends & Family International. I'd like to upgrade my calling plan to the Unlimited Any Time Plan. However, I can't figure out how to retain both Friends & Family Mobile and Friends & Family International. If I try and change my calling plan online, if I select Unlimited Anytime Plan with Friends & Family Mobile, it offers me the option of International Freedom but not Friends & Family International. If I select Unlimited Anytime Plan with Friends & Family International, it doesn't offer me the option of Friends & Family Mobile. Is it possible to keep both Friends & Family Mobile and Friends & Family International?

    Solved. If I select "View and change your calling plans & add-ons", it doesn't offer the option of keeping both, but if instead I select "Existing customer offer" from the banner add on the right hand side, it does. Must be a "feature"

    No, you won't lose Friends and Family if you remain on the 1400 minute plan.  If you drop to the 700 minute plan, then you'll lose it.

    Hi there,
    I've always been puzzled why we're paying for BT's Friends & Family Mobile at £1.50 per month, but don't appear to be getting the discounted call rates to mobiles - any ideas?
    Before BT changed their calling plans, we had BT Friends & Family plus option (or whatever it was back then), but when they changed their calling plans we opted for BT's Unlimited Anytime plan with BT Total Broadband Option 1.
    I can't work out why we're being charged £1.50 per month which is supposed to offer you calls to UK mobiles at a reduced price of 7p per minute, but looking at our bills for the last year or so, we've been charged anything between 10p and 18p per minute.
    Any ideas or suggestions?

    If you try the billing live chat link at the top of this board they can have a look over your account and check that the plan has been applied right.

    Just keep it like it is. As an account Mgr you can do everything except add other account mgrs or change billing account pw. But if you have your dad's sign in info for his my vzw.  Now if you need to build your credit then that's another story. Good luck to you and your dad

    iPhoto Menu -> Preferences -> Accounts ->
    Delete and recreate your email settings.
    Alternatively, use Apple's Mail for the job. It has Templates too - and more of them.

    I have the iphone 4s and its updated (ios 6.1.1). I've always had my group messaging set to OFF. Everytime I send a text to multiple folks, I find out that they were able to see everyone elses responses to me. My boss told me this morning that she saw responses from my friends/family from a picture I sent yesterday. Is there ANYTHING that can be done about this? It's important to be able to send texts to multiple people. I have to update them alot on my husbands illness. Help!

    Group messaging simply puts all replies in one conversation in Messages.   It doesn't prevent the behavior you experienced.
    My suggestion which would be much easier in my opinion, is rather than do a text, send out an email and use bcc: , which will keep the audience hidden from each recipient.
    Otherwise, if you're determinted to do only texts, the only way is to send your message to one person at a time.   You can of course copy/paste your msg each time which might be helpful.

    It won't. iMessage isn't an SMS service. It's for Apple-to-Apple and uses cellular data. SMS uses a cellular SMS plan, which does not come with your iPad. You'd have to have a cell phone to send texts like that. Alternatively, you can find an instant messaging app like Skype (they do messaging, not just video chat) or MSN Messenger that goes across platforms. You install it, they install it, you can chat with them.

     I think the new service is slightly different to the old friends and family.
    Freinds and family mobile is a discount on all uk mobile calls, it means any mobile call you make will be charged at 7p per minute.
    the friends and family internation is a similar deal but on international instead of mobile calls.

    I walked into a Verizon store and they told me I didn't have Friends and Family active.  I remember setting this up quite a while ago.  Anyway, I login and setup some numbers, but instead of giving me a message that the number has been added it says that it will be "forwarded to the admin on the account."  THAT IS ME....and I didn't receive anything.  I had another user on the plan login and do the same.  Still nothing...
    Where do I need to go online to "approve" the friends and family numbers?

    It sounds like you are NOT listed as the admin, or account owner. Call customer service (800-922-0204 or *611 from your device) and they will verify that you are the account owner by providing answers to questions about the account SSN or billing address. They can also add your F&F numbers over the phone.

    I'm trying to add some numbers to my Friends and Family list and it just keeps on saying that it needs to approved or whatever by the account owner before becoming active. Am I supposed to get a text to verify? Cause I haven't gotten anything, Or do I call verizon/ go to the verizon store?

    What's going on for you is that the myverizon account that you are signed into was not set up as the account owner, but as an account user instead. You need to get the friends and family numbers set up from the account owner account to have them work. You can also call to *611, then choose option 2 and option 5 to get to the friends and family system. If this is your only myverizon account and you didn't select the correct option when you initially set it up you will need to unregister your current plan and re-register as the account owner.

    I currently use iPhoto, Flickr and the Kodak Gallery (formerly Ofoto) and am looking for ways to simplify my process. I am wondering if it's possible to allow my friends and family to order prints from my albums if I upload them via iPhoto? I currently can do this from the Kodak Gallery.

    Only you can order prints from iPhoto by uploading your photos within iPhoto.
    I also use another online photo gallery/processing site so others can order prints from my photos.

  • Why no Friends & family on the 700 minute plan

    I generaly use 400 or less of my shared minutes a month, so I wanted to switch to a lower plan.  Now the next smaller plan Verizon offers is 700 minutes, with no friends and family included.  Why not include at least 3 or 5 friends and family numbers.  I use around +400 minutes of friends and family a month, so now I am afraid I will not have enough minutes.  I am not very happy with the limited plans that Verizon is currently offering now.  I think there should be more choices for all the differnet needs of customers.  Anyone else having this same issue?

    Sweet!  This plan would totally work for us....but instead we have the 1400 with 10 F&F - overkill, since we only use about 500 minutes a month this way.  If we were to bump down to the 700 minute plan though, we would LOSE the 10 F&F and then be OVER by a couple hundred minutes....   :::::sigh:::::
    So we pay the extra for 1400 and never give a thought to overages....we are not even close.
