'friendship' movie trailor keeps crashing iMovie - any ideas why???
I have iMovie '11 and for some reason, whenever I'm in the friendship themed movie trailor, it keeps freezing iMovie. I'm almost done with it; I've imported all my video clips and just need the last text slide to be edited and yet, I can't seem to keep iMovie working long enough to finish it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. (I also have 16 Gigs ram so that should have nothing to do w/ it.)
hughmass is correct, I've run into this problem and there are countless other folks on the iMovie Discussion Group who might get one upload to work on YouTube but each subsequent attempt fails with no error message given. Your safest choice is to go to the Share Menu > Export Movie (choose Large size) and save it to the desktop. Then open your Safari web browser, login to YouTube and upload the movie from the desktop through the YouTube website Directly

I am perplexed where you read that. It isn't true. The iPad is synced to the data available to all devices using the iCloud account if you have authorized it in the settings; PhotoStream, Contacts, Mail, Calendars, etc. That is how the iCloud works. -

I have issues with Itunes 10.6 on Lion and Quicktime 10.1. They don´t play bought movies from I tunes store, any ideas why?
I found the same issue... I can play other movies but no purchased ones. I can get the sound but the picture is scrambled. Does anyone know how to uninstall and reinstall iTunes? maybe that will work.

So I have a late 09 macbok pro, with 2.25ghz or so core 2 duo processor, 8 gb of ram, and the nvidia geforce 9400m graphics card. I just recently used bootcamp to install windows, so I can run AutoDesk Revit, however every time I go to open Revit, I am informed that my graphics driver kernal failed and has made a full recovery. What am I doing wrong?? I really need this to work for school. Thank you all.
Have you made sure you have all the bootcamp drivers installed and updated? If not, get them here. Download them from the mac side, put them on a flash drive, then restart onto the windows side. When you're in windows, run the setup off the flash drive, and when it's done, restart your computer, then log back into your windows partition, and see if the issue still exists. You might've just used bootcamp to install windows, but you might not've gotten the updated drivers.

I have never heard of a "keep" folder. I assume that your "keep" folder is one that you created in an IMAP email account for saving emails. If it is a standard feature of your email provider who is the provider?
Do you have your email configured properly on the server or in the mail app? Do you use the Edit/Move feature in the mail app to put the email into that folder? -
Illustrator CS6 Crashing without any idea why
Illustrator has crashed twice on me today, for absolutely no discernable reason. Both time it has crashed, I have not been trying to do any kind of complex operation, which only makes it all that much more infuriating, since I don't see it coming and am completely blindsided, losing hours of work.

I have a Macbook since a little more than 3 years, but recently Safari and Word keep shutting down. Is there any way to fix this or my laptop is going to die?
Are you sure its those two programs or is it a mac fault, if not you could try reinstalling the software

My iPad keeps freezing. iCloud storage is completely empty. I have 2.3 GB available of the total 13.6. Please help!! This is starting to become a pain in my butt.
With iOS 7 it is recommended that you have 15-20% of the storage space on the device free. For a 16 GB device that is 2.4-3.2 GB free. I suggest that you delete some stuff to allow for more free space on your iPad. It will run better.

This indicates a disconnect between the Thumbnail and the original
this can be caused by two things
1 - User action deleting items from inside the iPhoto library - can be directly - can be from the All images list (never delete from there) - can be from running cleanup software like MacKeeer, CleanMac2 or other dangerous, defective software that improperly deletes or changes things in the iPhoto library - if you have done any of these things you must restore your backup from before you did them and damaged your iPhoto library - and I recommend getting rid of any "clean up software" ASAP (although being essentially MalWear it is not easy)
2 - corruption of the iPhoto library - If it is not #1 then Back up your iPhoto library, Depress and hold the option (alt) and command keys and launch iPhoto - rebuild your database

I don't think that you "have not changed anything in several years", especially since you are currently using Lion OSX 10.7.5.
How did you upgrade to Lion and how did you reinstall iWork/Pages?
Which iMac do you have and how much RAM is installed?
Are you using MacDictate to input your text? Does it only crash when you are using MacDictate? Did you successfully use it before it started crashing?
We do not possess psychic telescopes to see what you are doing at your end. You need to tell us everything that could be relevant.

Hey there, I love my ipad. I went to a url which has mpg4 files associated when I attempt to play them I get a QuickTime symple with a question mark. I know the site works as I can see the video's from my PC using Chrome, IE, FF only safari doesn't work. Is there a trick? I am new to apply it's day 4 and I am still crossing over from a PC person to an apple person.

Every time iTunes runs the iTunes Match, when iTunes MAtch gets to Step 3 - iTunes stops working - ie crashes. Any idea why and how to fix it? The songs are still uploaded to iCloud etc... but it crashe iTunes every single time
I cannot explain the failure, but I can tell you that I have a string of approx. 24 emails with Apple and a combined 10hrs of talk time with Apple customer reps that tried helping me precisely for the issue that iTunes Match would crash at Step 3 without fail. Apple even logged my Console and I was talking to an engineer that literally wrote part of the code for iTunes Match (that was the fourth and last level of customer care I was escalated to). The poor man almost quite his job, and I just about demanded a refund for my $25, since iTunes Match simply wasn't working.
Then I studied at a friend's place, and I noticed that all of a sudden, while iTunes was running in the background, half my library was already uploaded and things were progressing smoothly. It turns out that it had something to do with my modem specifically, as I had already hooked up my computer straight to the modem, taking the router (TimeCapsule) out of the equation. Nothing worked. Firewalls were turned off, no AntiVirus existed, and Apple engineers tried everything possible, incl. remote access on my computer, to get this to work. Nothing worked as long as I was connected to a Motorola Surboard.
At every other network, wether at Starbucks, my university, or at friends places, however, iTunes Match worked flawlessly.
After some research online, it turnes out that a handful of people with Motorola Surrboard Xtreme cable modems had similar issues. Eversince, I simply use my neighbors wifi should I need to upload songs, and I have no issues. Oddly enough, matching (not uploading) works just fine with my Motorola.
Don't ask me how or why, I am interested in computers and work with them a lot, but I am no engineer. I can tell you that simple scientific method pinpointed to the modem, and I haven't had issues since then. -
Ok so I got a new mac and as usual install firefox which is my favorite browser, suddenly my computer started crashing, not just firefox the whole system froze and I had to reboot to make it work again, I didn't know what was happening until I noticed that said crashes happen when I was watching videos on firefox, I tried to use chrome and the issue was gone. So anyone has any idea why this is happening? I really would love to start using firefox again!
