Fritzbox 7360

Problems connecting using Airport with iMac OSX 10.4.11 (Core 2 Duo; 2Gb) since new router was installed (Fritzbox 7360).
- Safari is slow whatever site is loading; issue here seems to be that first a site "cookies.SITE.ETC" is trying to be loaded wich
- Firefox is slow when connecting to sites like google.com; youtube.com (connecting to i4.ytimg.com seems to take ages/i3.ytimg.com idem) - once this phase is done with, youtube clips play smoothly; etc.
- with Firefox: connecting to sites like CNN.com and NOS.nl give no problem but loading a clip seems to hang when connecting to ajax.googleapis.com and www.google-analytics.com); once again, when this phase is done with, clips play smoothly)
- Mail: no problem
Connecting with iPad to same modem: no problems whatsoever
Anybody suggestions?

After hours of discussing the problem with at least 10 Helpdesk-employees etc. a depressed technician came up with the solution;
Switch Annex-A to Annex-B.
That simple.
You will lose your very fast Internet connection for the time being and return to ADSL, but everything will work fine.
Go to your Fritz!box in your browser
In Fritzbox go to Internet
From Internet go to DSL information
In DSL information go to the tap: line settings.
On this page you will find Annex B and Annex B. In case the Annex A is selected, you should switch to Annex B and confirm. You will have to do this twice before it really takes it. Then your Fritzbox will reset and this will take some time. You will see the green lights on the machine flicker on and out. When steady again you might have a steady internet-connection again, as well. It will be an ADSL connection.
It worked for a whole week with me. Than there was trouble again. I found out that Fritzie had reset himself to Annex A again. I put him back in his place, being Annex B.
I hope this will be helpful, because I know the agony of talking with many professional help desk advisors and getting nowhere.
I am on a macbook pro 10.5.8 and some higher Mac-OS machines.

HI Agnes,
To check your OS to see what version you are running. Click on the Closed Apple in the most upper left corner of your screen. Then scroll to About this Mac. a window will appear and will tell you some basic info. like what version OS you are running. If you want to know more about your computer then click on " more info. " button. A program called System Profiler will launch and give you all the info on your computer.
As for Airport you can find out what version you have in the System Profiler. Just toggle the Software triangle and click on software. this might take a minute or so depends on how many programs you have. then find Airport and then you will know what version you have.
Another way to find out what Airport version you are running is to launch/open the Airport Admin Utility app. you can find it in Applications folder>Utilities Folder>Airport Admin Utility. After it is open click on Airport Admin Utility in the most upper left corner of your screen just to the right of the closed apple. scroll to About Airport Admin Utility and click. a small window will appear and you will know what version you are running.
As for Firmware on your Airport Express, Airport Admin Utility needs to detect it before you can find out what version you are running. I have not tried to install the firmware update with out my Airport Admin Utility not detecting it. Not sure if it will work.

FritzBox 7360 and AE wifi problems

I have an Airport Extreme connected to the LAN1 port of my FritzBox because I want to use the wifi signal of the AE. I have configured the AE in bridge mode. Yet, I do experience problems with the WiFi signal. Although my devices such as my iPad or MacBook say there is wifi, if often takes several minutes before I get connected to the internet. There seems to be some sort of delay. I have tried a lot of things, but the issue is not solved. Does anyone know the solution? Thanks

Does my modem need to support 5G in order to make use of the 5G characteristics of my AirPort Extreme?

I have a Fritzbox 7360 router which does not support 5G. I have also bought an Airport Extreme and uses this in bridge modus. So the Fritzbox only serves as a modem. The modem does not support 5G however, do I need to have different type of modem in order to optimally make use of the 5G characteristics of the Airport Extreme?

MSI P35 Neo-F (MS-7360): Computer randomly freezes while playing games

Hi there,
I have reached the end of my technical knowledge right now and I'm not even sure if this area of the forum is appropriate. The problem:
While playing higher-end games like Crysis 2, Anno 1404, Mass Effect 2 etc. my computer randomly freezes and the last few milliseconds of sound are being looped on my speakers (kind of like a buzzing sound).
By "freezing" I mean that my computer becomes unresponsive to any action other than pressing the Reset-Button or holding down the Power-Up-Button (no reaction to Ctrl+Alt+Del, Alt+F4, Alt+Tab, no mouse movement... you get it).
There's no exact timing as to when these freezes occur. The fastest freeze happened after less than a minute of playing a game, slowes one (just today after switching to my newer case with better cooling) took about 2 hours.
This freeze only occurs while my System is under load. No freezes while browsing the web, using office programs, listening to music or watching videos.
System Specs:
Mainboard: MSI P35 Neo-F (MSI-7360)
CPU: Intel Core2Quad Q6600 @2.4GHz
RAM: 4x 1GB DDR2-800 Corsair XMS2
Graphics: Gainward GeForce GTX 560 Ti, 1GB GDDR5 VRAM
PSU: Antec High Current Gamer 620W (upgraded from Xilence XP600, 600W)
New CPU Cooler: Arctic Freezer 13 Pro (upgraded from OEM Intel Boxed Cooler)
New Case: Zalman Z9 Plus w/ 4x 120 mm Fans (Upgraded from a Case with only 1x 250mm side Fan)
2 Western Digital HDD (1x 2TB, 1x320 GB)
1 DVD Reader/Burner (unimportant for that error I guess)
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit
2 Screens: 1x 24" Asus VS248H and 1x 21" LG Flatron Wide W2240T
Since this error is bugging me for quite a while now and since this is not the first forum I'm trying to get help from, here's a list of steps i already took to get rid of it, obviously to no good use:
reinstalled games where the freeze occurred
updated all Drivers (including cleaning old versions in safe mode; also tried older drivers)
updated BIOS to v1.A0
Reinstalled Windows
bought new Case and CPU Cooler to improve Air Flow/Cooling
checked Seating of all components (took out, cleaned, reapplied thermal grease where neccessary, re-inserted)
cleaned old case of dust (obviously no problem in the new case, which is 2 days "old")
ran 7 sequences of Memtes86+ without any errors
ran Prime95 without any errors for about 45 Minutes
ran Furmark for 15 Minutes under full load (burn-in test) without any problems, even though my graphics card hit the 100°C frequency-cut level
ran Furmark and Prime95 simultaneously without any problems
took records of component temperatures and system voltages without noticing anything unusual (at least not after i switched to the newer PSU, which is about 1 Month old - yet didn't resolve the problem)
tested with cyclic removal of 1 RAM device to further rule out RAM malfunction
tested with only 2 RAM devices in dual channel mode (Slots 1 and 3)
tried to reduce RAM clock (800 MHz --> 667 MHz) to no avail
checked S.M.A.R.T. values of HDDs, no issues reported
tested without any background programs
raised/lowered voltages to RAM, CPU and Chipset in BIOS to increase logic circuit stability/decrease heat production
I need to mention: After I transferred my system to the new case, i was able to play longer than average compared to my old case. So I am guessing that improper cooling was part of the problem, yet improving cooling obviously didn't resolve it.
Since these freezes are really annoying and nobody could help me resolve this so far, I'm hoping to find some new ways of narrowing down the problem or even getting rid of it here.

Yes, I monitored CPU and RAM usage, there is no recognizeable pattern to be seen and it almost never happens under full load.
I will see if a friend of mine can test my GPU on his computer, and I will test it underclocked right away.
Though one more question regarding that: Should I only underclock GPU Core Clock or both Core and RAM clock?

Cisco ASA 5505 behind Fritzbox in homelab

I'm a bit new to networking with firewalls, and for that reason I've purchased a second-hand asa5505 for my home lab.
Because it's a home-lab I've got a Fritzbox router/modem. How do I set up my asa (.2.253) to forward all outgoing traffic to the fritzbox (.2.254) and my fritzbox to forward all incoming traffic to the asa?
I've applied a basic config, so the asa's inside interface has the .253 address, but the outside interface does not have an ip. Reason being I'm reading different stories (one says put on dhcp, other says config as static with the ip given by the isp).
Also; can anyone tell me where to get the latest asdm/firmware for the asa when it's out of support (thanks Cisco for the 90-day basic support).

BT Infinity HH5 and replace through FritzBox 7270

Hello everybody,
this is my first post, and I´m really hoping, that you guys can help me to get my problem solved.
I really would like to install and configure my FritzBox ("FB") 7270 instead of the HH5, which I brought over from Germany.
But I dont know, why it isnt working.
Here are the facts.
Broadband: Infinity
(There comes a cable from the outside our house into our flat) and ends into a openreach MK3 (little white Box).
From that Box there are two cables:
One for DSL/ Broadband and the other one for landline.
My FB is updatet to the Firmware Fritz!OS 06.05
When Im using the wizard for configuration it asked me for credentials; as I read in several posts before it must be [email protected] and the password has to be blank or just once the space tab, both I have already tried.
Flatrate: yes, ticked.
Then I also ticked the VLAN and entered 101 and VPI 1 and VCI 32
The first step, when my FB ist checking works fine and than I have to confirm by "ok" afterwards its "trying to connecting" again to the internet and thats when all end up in nowhere.
The LED on the FB starts to blink (as it does all the time before) and I know that it hast to lights all the time at DSL/Internet.
It shows that there is no DSL connection.
I really need to get this solved, as I`m want to run a Fritz VOIP as well as I would like to use my mobile when Im at home for landline, etc.
So, at which point I`m wrong? Hopefully it isnt the Router as its self.
Is there anyone who can give me a how to setp & configure the FB.

Ms-7360 P35 Neo wo't boot with full 8GB DDR2

Let's begin with me stating my problem:
I recently bought these ddr2 modules: http://www.ocztechnology.com/products/memory/ocz_ddr2_pc2_6400_vista_performance_gold_4gb_dual_channel (2x2GB OCZ Gold PC2-6400)
I already had 2x2gb Patriot ddr2 (http://www.patriotmemory.com/products/detailp.jsp?prodline=5&catid=2&prodgroupid=38&id=658&type=1) installed on my mainboard (ms-7360 P35 Neo).
Now i can't boot Windows 7 64-bit with the full 8GB memory, it gives a blue screen or just keeps looping the boot sequence. If i use 6 GB my rig works, but is still a bit unstable.
I have tried placing the new memory modules in another rig and they work. I also tried swapping the modules:
A1 + B1: Patriot memory
A2 + B2: OCZ memory ---> doesn't work, turn out in a blue screen
A1 + B1: OCZ memory
A2 + B2: Patriot memory --> this doesn't work, because i it has something to do with BIOS remembering previous setup.
A1 + B1: Patriot Memory
A2: OCZ memory module 1 --> works, but when i was loading files to a separate hdd i got the blue screen.
A1 + B1: Patriot Memory
A2: OCZ memory module 2 --> works too, but like above it's only 6GB and i want the full 8GB.
A1 + B1: Patriot Memory
B2: OCZ memory module 1 --> works
A1 + B1:Patriot Memory
B2: OCZ memory module 2 --> works
Oh, i almost forgot to say this: During the boot i also see that, when all 4 slots are full, i see 8GB

Get all 4 matching modules. It works when you have 3 of them installed because they would be in single channel mode and single channel can tolerate miss-matched RAM much better than dual channel can. 2.2V Patriot 4-4-4-12, 1.8V OCZ CL 5-5-5-18

There was http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3127?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US -- similar symptions fixed by the 10.6.3 update, but by now I'm at 10.6.8.

Unfortunately, I don't have an answer for you, but at least we can comiserate about the problem. I have 3 different 10.6 SUS installations that are having this problem. I've been trying to directly manipulate the downloaded files, settings, etc. I'm seeing that the downloaded files here:
/var/db/swupd/html/content/downloads/35/57/091-7360/
do not have any of the ".dst" distribution files for the various languages that should be there. I believe that must be the "incomplete download" part, but I've even copied those files from a 10.5 SUS download (all of the 10.5 SUS engines work w/ this Java update, BTW), still to no avail.
I've also tried manipulating the list of updates in the .plist here:
/etc/swupd/com.apple.server.swupdate.plist
by changing the flags for 091-7360 to "Mirrored" instead of "PleaseMirror", changing Enabled to "true", and things like that. I still cannot get SUS to be happy w/ this update. I think that if I had a better understanding of how all of these files tie together (you've got lists of updates in /etc/swupd, but also multiple catalog files in /var/db/swupd/html), I might be able to fool the thing into working. Alas, it appears to be beyond me, and I may have to just wait until another Java update for 10.6 is issued to be able to use SUS for it again.
Any further observations you may have would be quite welcome. Maybe we can put our heads together and figure this out.

Hooking up Fritzbox to TC

Hi,
I've set up my TC in bridge-mode, it's connected to the Internet via EOP, my printer is attached via USB.
All works fine, but....
I'd like to use my Fritz!box as a phone switchboard, and be able to access it's GUI from my iMac.
If I hook it up via Ethernet to the iMac's port things work fine.
If I hook it up via Ethernet to the TC's port it is not recognized.
AFAIK the TC's Ethernet ports should be active when in bridged mode, so what am I missing?

TC is set to create a wireless network (which works), my WiFi network seems to be working fine.
To clarify what I'm trying to do: I want to hook up the Fritzbox (FB) to the TC via Ethernet and access it's GUI via WLAN.
At the moment I have to hook up the FB directly to the iMac, which works.
I'm only using the FB as a telephone switchboard.
I don't think this is a Mavericks problem, since I tried this setup a while back with Snowleopard, and couldn't get that to work either.
With my new iMac and Mavericks, I thought I'd give it another go

this phone is absolutely fantastic.
i'd like to buy it 'cause now the price is lower (something like 150 euro) than before but...
there's no bluetooth; memory is only 4 mb; VGA camera is surely worst than one of 2 or 3 megapixel but (even if it's not the real problem).
...maybe i'll wait and see if nokia invents a new edition of 7360.
can anybody suggest me what to do? maybe there's someone who knows nokia's future planning... Is the new version expected to come?

The reason why the 7360 is so affordable is because it is lower spec'd than newer phones.
Nokia will not make a revised 7360 with better features at the same price.

Error message failed "ALIGNMENT" after changing black cart on 7360 no black print.

I have an issue with black print on my 7360, I installed a new black cartridge, ink level monitor displays full. printed test page no black print and have" failed alignment" message after running this test. Tried to run clean" print head" same results very lite black print, not readable. This has been a great printer, have several extra cartridges. I would hate to have to trash it. Any help would be appreciated

I too have a B210 and the IPAD has printed marvelously via WIFI for about a half a year. Now, when the IPAD print radio button appears it still lists the B210 is available as if all is good but the printer doesn't come to life when the print command is issued. Printer sez it is connected to the router, too. I have reset the router and the printer a number of times and the printer sez everything is good. But, I can't print any longer from the IPAD. bummer.

Color Calibration Issues with iPhoto 7.0.2 and H-P Photosmart 7360

I'm having color calibration problems with print output to my H-P Photosmart 7360
since iPhoto 7 and above. Is anyone else encountering this? I'm consistently getting
darker output on the printer compared to what's on the screen. Up until iPhoto 7, the
match was dead on, what you saw on the screen is what you got on the printer.
Any suggestions?

Connect AirPort Extreme to my FritzBox internet router

How can I connect the AirPort Extreme to my FritzBox Router ? I bought the AirPort extreme to get a better receiption in the back area of my appartment.
Do I have to connect the AirPort Extreme to my normal router at all ?

Unfortunately, I do not think that you understood my answer above.
you need to establish a permanent wired Ethernet connection from one of the LAN <-> ports on the FritzBox router to the WAN "O" port on the AirPort Extreme.
Permanent means that the AirPort Extreme must remain wired to the Fritzbox router at all times.

How do I get MP3 ringtones onto my 7360?

I am trying to put some songs onto my 7360 and can't figure it out. I have installed the Nokia suite and bought the cable, but it says that it is not supported. How can I get them onto there so I can use them as ringtones? Any help appreciated.

As roaminggnome says, they must be transferred from your computer. Ringtones cannot be downloaded a second time without buying them again.
If you still have the old phone you should be able to transfer purchases to the computer, then to the new phone.
