  • Strange frm-18108 after breaking reference with an olb module

    Hi all.
    We have a foms10g module upgraded from a previous 6i version. As part of the upgrade process, an old olb module reference was broken, and a newer olb module was added.
    Every time the form module is open it displays a frm-18108 error, saying a reference to an object is missing. The object is a pl/sql procedure which was part of the old olb library. We have checked, and there is not such reference. But it has to be somewhere although we can not see it.
    I believe there was an issue when breaking the reference, but have no idea of how to fix this problem.
    Any help will be greatly appreciated ...!

    We are completely sure all objects have been removed ... Remember the object is a pl/sql procedure.... How can one miss that ...?
    >
    Clearly, there are still some objects from the Forms Object Library (OL) that still exist in your form or you would not be getting this error. ;) Not all objects in an OL are PL/SQL objects. They can also be Property Classes, Visul Attributes, Canvases, Forms Triggers & Program Units, etc.

  • Some macs don't appear in shared menu

    I've got an iMac, mac mini, and a dual core all running on an airport network. When I am on my Tower the other machines sometimes disappear out of the shared menu in the finder window. They are on and awake, yet I can't share files. Files sharing is on, on all computers. What's up with that?

    If you've never used them before (they are new) then they are not formatted for Macs.
    Drive Partition and Format
    1. Open Disk Utility in your Utilities folder.
    2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
    3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Apply button and wait until the process has completed.
    4. Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
    5. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Security button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
    6. Click on the Erase button. The format process can take up to several hours depending upon the drive size.
    When you want to remove an external device you must Eject it:
    First, select the Desktop icon of the external disk. CTRL- or RIGHT-click and select Eject from the context menu.

  • Shared Menu

    at forms developer 6i the shared menu are not supported then how to disable that property if the original menu come from developer 4.5 to developer 6i???

    I am having the same problem.
    I have had to re-build my new MacBook Pro at least 3 times and am getting ready to do it again.
    My MBP is connected to a network with 2 other PC's one Vista and the other XP. I have "Lost" the shared servers listing after I have installed other programs such as Winclone that I wanted to use backing up my Vista Boot Camp partition and another utility that would have allowed me to both read and write to NTFS formatted disks.
    I have called Apple support and they have no clue.
    I have worked with the company that made the driver that would allow me to frread and write to the NTFS partitions. They could not replicate the issue.
    Because I have totally re-installed my system, I am now believing this is an issue or bug with Leopard and I do not know how to get further help from Apple.
    Any thoughts?
    I have also done safe re-boots, removed and addes the check marks in Finder preferences to turn on and off the displ;ay of Shared items but no luck.
    Help??
    I am also going to putg this in a new post

  • Shared menu missing when saving from Photoshop CS6

    I'm using Yosemite on an iMac and I am currently connected to two servers. I can open and save files from just about every application except Photoshop CS6. For example, I click File > Open and the shared menu isn't there with the servers listed underneath. Also, if I try to Save As, that dialog box is missing the shared menu with the servers listed as well. I've been working around it by opening files from Finder, or by opening recent folders from those servers, but if the server I need to save to isn't recent, it becomes a problem. I'm a graphic designer and I work with Photoshop a lot, so I really need this to work. Is there a preference I'm not seeing that will put the shared menu back on the Open and Save As dialog boxes?

    I take that back. I just downloaded the update 10.10.1 and the shared menu is back. Thank you! That makes my life so much easier!

  • How can I remove the "shared" menu in the finder?

    how can I remove that "shared' menu, I don't know its there and I would like to take it out please.
    thanks.
    -Joey

    Hey Matt...
    When I select it, it's blank.. nothing's in there... I think I first saw that when I used my laptop @ a hotel I had to connect through a ethernet cable and there was a bunch of networks... but now I am back in my office and just connecting to my wirless connection called "rhino's" (thats' the name of my company)
    So I'm not sure why the "All" is there.. and when I click on it, it doesn't show any network...
    Hope its not too confusing mate.
    Thanks,

  • Computer appears in it's own 'Shared Menu'

    My computer is appearing twice in the left hand bar of a finder window. Once as it should, under 'devices', below that also under 'shared'.
    Under devices the computer has added (2) after its name. When I try and remove this in the sharing pane in System Preferences it tells me I cannot call it name as name is already present on the network.
    This would appear to be the entry under the 'shared' menu.
    I can't seem to get rid of this.
    I suspect it's something to do with having a Qnap Nas drive attached to my network and that the 'shared' menu thing happens when I have to power the computer down using the power button rather than shutting down or sleeping as normal. But this might be nonsense.

    Yes this is to cruel!! I have been looking the whole for a solution and so close now and then so far away!!
    Please let us know!

  • FRM-12404 : Shared Menus Desupported in forms 10g

    Hi All ,
    This is regarding hte error that I get when opening a menu module in forms 10g.
    ~~
    FRM-12404 : Shared Menus Desupported in forms 10g
    Do you want to duplicate or subclass shared menus
    Subclass , copy , cancel are 3 options
    ~~
    Could anyone please explain what exactly is this message , what are shared menus , when are they used .
    How to resolve this issue in forms 10g.
    Thanks ,

    Hi Jan ,
    Thanks for the reply.
    The scenario is somthing like this .
    We have a Menu Module say X.mmb which is attached to a form X.fmb.
    Now in the menu module X.mmb when opened in Form Builder 10g , we have
    X.mmb
    |
    |
    -> MAIN_MENU : With Item VIEW ( sub-menu set to Y_MENU )
    -> Y_MENU : Items present are I1 , I2
    -> Z_MENU -> Z1_ITEM( sub-menu set to Y_MENU )
    -> Z2_ITEM( sub-menu set to Y_MENU )
    So now we have Y_MENU being shared and used by VIEW , Z1_ITEM & Z2_ITEM
    which all are sub-menus themself.
    Now when this X.mmb is opened in forms builder I get 2 more say Y1_MENU and Y2_MENU getting created and sub-classing from Y_MENU.
    The issue that I am facing is we have a code in teh form X.fmb ,
    set_menu_item_property ('Y_MENU.I1', CHECKED, PROPERTY_FALSE);
    Thhe above built-in when executed gives error :
    FRM : 41067 Cannot find menu item id
    So it is unable to find Y_MENU.I1 item , though it very well exist in the menu when opened in forms10g form builder.
    Could you please explain why I am encountering this issue during 10g upgrade when it has worked fine in the previous version.
    Thanks once again.

  • Invoking procedure from menu module

    How can I invoke procedure that is part of Form module from menu module which is attached to it.
    When I reference it with:
    procedure_name;
    I receive:
    Error 201
    Identifier procedure_name must be declared.
    null

    It can be done by calling user-named trigger from menu:
    Execute_Trigger('my_user_named_trigger');
    and in Forms my_user_named_trigger is:
    BEGIN
    procedure_name;
    END;

  • Selected state issue with Menu Module V2

    OK so I am getting an issue with Menu Module V2. I have used this before with success but this time I have hit a wall. I possed this question to BC live chat and they bugged out real quick.
    The site in construction is http://www.urbanista.com.au
    What is happening is that in the top right tools nav with the headings Home, Services, People, Contact Us using Menu Module V2. The Heading Services has a drop down and this is where the issue resides. Roll over any of these nav devices and you will see they will highlight orange. Home is already auto activating its Selcted state. Click on Contact Us and it will do the same.  Roll over and click on Services and it appears to have worked. While in Services roll over the drop down again and you will see all links have activated the Selected state. This is the issue. If you view the code of the Services UL you will see only the Services state has been alocated the Slected state. See below:
    <li id="Services" class="selected">
    <a href="/services.htm">Services</a>
    <ul>
    <li id="tools-panningdev">
    <li id="tools-housing">
    <li id="tools-urban-renewal">
    <li id="tools-project-management">
    <li id="tools-feasibility-tools">
    <li id="tools-governance-systems">
    <li id="tools-communications">
    <li id="tools-projects">
    </ul>
    </li>
    The CSS that runs the nav is as follows:
    ul.dropdown {
        font-weight: normal;
        font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
        font-style: normal;
        text-decoration: none;
        ul.dropdown li {
        background-color: transparent;
        color: #999;
        padding-top: 5px;
        padding-right: 10px;
        padding-bottom: 5px;
        padding-left: 10px;
        font-size: 12px;
        ul.dropdown li.hover,
        ul.dropdown li:hover {
        background-color: transparent;
        color: #FFF;
        ul.dropdown a:link,
        ul.dropdown a:visited    {
        color: #FFF;
        text-decoration: none;
        ul.dropdown a:hover        { color: #ff871f; }
        ul.dropdown a:active    {
        color: #b33b00;
        /* -- level mark -- */
        ul.dropdown ul {
        width: 150px;
        margin-top: 1px;
        background-image: url(/images/nav-transparency.png);
        background-repeat: repeat;
        color: #FFF;
        ul.dropdown ul li {
        font-weight: normal;
    ul.dropdown li.selected a {
        color: #ff871f;
    The last entry 'ul.dropdown li.selected a {color: #ff871f;}' is required in order to allocate a Slected State. Without it not Selected state is active and the links al remian white.
    I have tried all manner of combinations and additonal tags with no success. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. I have not modified the default Javascript provided by BC in the system apart from allocating the required ulTagClass as specified. The Javascript in the supplied 'container.html' is as follows:
    <script type="text/javascript" >
        // ids need to be unique per page, use different ones if you are including multiple menus in the same page
        // id of the nav tag, used above
        var divTagId = "myMenu1";
        // desired id for 1st <ul> tag
        var ulTagId = "myMenu1List";
        // desired class for 1st <ul> tag
        var ulTagClass = "dropdown dropdown-vertical";
        if ((null !== ulTagId) && ("" !== ulTagId)) {
            document.getElementById(divTagId).getElementsByTagName("ul")[0].setAttribute("id",ulTagId );
        if ((null !== ulTagClass) && ("" !== ulTagClass)) {
            document.getElementById(divTagId).getElementsByTagName("ul")[0].className = ulTagClass;
        // this will set the selected state
        if ((null !== ulTagId) && ("" !== ulTagId)) {
            catSetSelectedCSSItem(ulTagId);
    </script>
    Lastly this is one of the recomended navs by BC at the following address: http://lwis.net/free-css-drop-down-menu/
    I have used these before with success but for the life of me this has stumped me big time.

    Hi Matthew,
    Having a super quick look at the code I'd say it's because of:
    ul.dropdown li.selected a {
        color: #ff871f;
    This affects all the child elements.
    To override this down the line you could do something like:
    ul.dropdown li.selected ul li a {
        color: #fff;
    This would override the parent link color when selected.
    You could probably then also add:
    ul.dropdown li.selected ul li.selected a {
        color: #ff871f;
    For the dropdown selected states.
    That's a quick look though so don't quote me too much
