Frm-90928 positional parameter after key on command line

frm-90928 positional parameter after key on command line
I have an error while i run form module. i am using database 9i with 9iDS. Plz help me to resolve this issue.

Exactly Francois, 100% true.
I've noticed that the Forms Builder tries to run the unsaved forms from the user's default home (root) directory, which almost always in windows environment has spaces in it, like "Documents and Settings\...".

I know that .txt empty file can be created using the After Message Processing Command Line...

  • Adobe XI remains open after printing from command line

I am using a program to collect, batch print and delete multiple PDF files.
The following command line is used to print the files, after which the file is deleted and next file is collected.
         "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe" /T /N FileName.pdf
I have now upgraded to Adobe XI, however Adobe remains open (and minimized) after sending the print job to the printer, resulting in my programing freezing while waiting to delete.
Is there a parameter to close Adobe after printing?
This is rather urgent as we have started rolling out the new Adobe XI.
    OS = Windows7 Prof x64

  • Can anyone tell me whar error frm 90928 on forms is?

    hello all:
i try to run forms and an error appear when trying to load the applet.
    the error is:
frm - 90928 positional parameter after key on command line.
and what can i do to solve that error.
    Thanks

I had the same problem when I first installed and ran 9i Developer Suite in Windows XP. I tried an easy tutorial project but kept getting Error 90928 when I tried to "Run Form".
The problem was that I was storing my Forms files under directories with spaces in the name, i.e. My Documents -> Oracle Development ... Forms Builder substituted those whitespaces with the string "%20" in the URL parameter list and this was throwing things off.
I solved the problem by just creating a root directory with no spaces, "C:\OraDev", and I store my .fmb and .fmx files there.
    Hope this helps

  • Positional parameter

When I run my form and after starting the JAVA Applet I get this Error message
FRM-90928 Positional parameter after key in command line. What does that mean?

My bet is that your fmx is located in a directory with space in its name like "my document". Try saving the fmb and fmx in c:\
and see if it still happens.
If you still have problems please post the URL that is invoked to run your form.

  • Error FRM-90928:

When I try to Run Form I get this error
Positional parameter after key on command line.

    1. how do I defeat this error
You have a space on your path. For example, are you saving your Form somewhere under "My Documents"? Make sure none of the parameters on the URL have a space.
    2. can't I just connect to my local database, without needing oc4j and forms services
    Oracle9i Forms is web-only. There's no client/server.
    3. what documentation should I be reading to figure all this out myself
All of the doco is free from OTN. You could also have queried this on Metalink.

  • FRM-90928 error when executing a form

After installing the Oracle 9i Developer suite, I tried to run a simple form for the first time but I keep getting the following error:
"FRM-90928:Position parameter after keyword in the commandline."
Could anybody has any idea on how to fix this. Any help will be appreciated!
    Thanks,
    MS.

Maybe it's because your form is located in a directory with spaces in it, like "d:\trail forms\...."
Try to place the form in a directory without spaces.

    PLEASE HELP!
    WHAT Should i do?
If nothing works, could i start-up from OS 9.2.2? (Both Systems OSX and OS_9.2.2 were installed)
If the B-tree is corrupt, does it being shared by both OSX and OS_9.2.2?
    THANK YOU

    Hi Kappy,
Thank you for taking an interest.
I already tryed to start_up from CD, but it either didn't started-up
or it started still in Command-Line-Mode.
Put the CD in the tray, startedUP with the C_Key Held.
It took a little longer and seemed it was going to start from CD but went into CommanLine again.
    but instead of
    :/root#
it said something else, something like:
2e_sh.. (Something! i could redo it and write it down here if it will help)
Other times i tryed to bootUP from CD by holding-down the Option-Key and saw the install-CD icon next to
OSX-Icon, so i chose the CD and hit the Straight-ARROW-Icon to start up from the CD, but again it fell
    into CommandLine.
If i try the Target-Disk-Mode with a healty-Mac, could i be able to see my HD. Then i can switch to
OS_9.2.2 which i spose is healty because i was using OS_10.3 when this problem happened. And the way
i think, if the B-tree Catalog is not being shared by both Systems, if each have its own one, then the
OSX's B-tree Catalog have been corrupted, not OS9's, and so if i could change the start-up-system(Disk)
somehow, i could be able to start the computer with OS_9.2.2 running. Both systems were installed,
and i was switching back and forth between them. Then i can fix my computer by, at least, starting
to throw away some of the junk and so making some free-space.
I had read that HD should not be full more than 85%. I had 2.5GB space left out of 40GB.
    But if there is a risk that things like this could happen because your HD is too full;
why arn't they (Apple) fix this, buy, at least, showing as if you HD is full before it gets
too full to leave a safety net for the B-tree Catalog files evidently that need to be written
in continuous blocks on the HD.
So thank you again, and keep me posted if you might think something else could fix my computer. I need
    this computer.
    thanks

  • Command line printing - AdobeReader left open

    Hello everyone,
I've a problem by printing pdfs using the command line. My VB-script contains a code line like following (including the quotation marks for document and printer):
    process=myShell.Exec("c:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader\Reader 8.0\AcroRd32.exe /t "c:\test.pdf" "myprintersname")
    (print test.pdf on myprintersname)
This command runs nearly perfect; after printing the AdobeReader-window left open. I tried to use an Application.Activate(process.ProcessID) followed by SendKeys("%{F4}") to close the front window. My AdobeReader-window won't come to foreground and so the active window (e.g. firefox) gets the ALT-F4-shortcut and asks for closing.
Is there another command line parameter or solution available to close the named pdf-document AND AdobeReader after printing the document?
    Thanks for help
    gerald
UPDATE: I've found a solution for this problem. After executing the command line (process=myShell.Exec.......) there's a "script sleeping time" needed, e.g. WScript.Sleep 10000 (wait 10 sec) followed by the command "process.Terminate". Then AdobeReader will be terminated and script goes on...

  • Problem in passing parameters in command line in desktop

    Hi,
I am trying to generate reports from command line (Oracle Discoverer 4i Version 4.1.42.04.00) but I am facing problems when I try to pass date or numeric parameters. It seems to work with strings
The following command is successful when i pass string as parameters
    C:\orant\DISCVR4\dis4usr.exe /connect reports/reports@orcl /opendb load_report_1 /batch /sheet 2 /parameter "P Date" "31-JUL-2006 Month End" /export xls c:\Temp\load_report_!
But in the following commands the command line execution stops when a worksheet with parameters is encountered. Once then parameter is entered the command line is executed successfully. In these problem cases it seems like the /parameter option is not being recognized. I have tried to pass parameters with double quotes, single quotes, without any quotes.
    C:\orant\DISCVR4\dis4usr.exe /connect reports/reports@orcl /opendb "load report 2" /sheet 3 /parameter "Select P Day" "20-JUN-2006" /batch /export xls c:\Temp\load_Report_2
    C:\orant\DISCVR4\dis4usr.exe /connect reports/reports@orcl /opendb "load report 3" /batch /sheet 1 /parameter "Enter Date Using Format YYYYMMDD" 20060703 /export xls c:\Temp\load_report_3
The only difference I can see is that I have not used double quotes in the command line that is successful in generating reports with parameters.
Any inputs will be appreciated - we are stuck in our project due to this issue. Many thanks.
    Warm regards
    Sucharita

    Hi
I work in the same team as the original poster.
We tried by changing NLS_DATE_FORMAT for the oracle_home.
Just to clarify our issue I am describing it one more time below -
Using Disc desktop (4.1.42) we are trying to run the reports using command line interface. Any report that takes character input for the parameters ,is running fine in the batch mode without prompting.
Any report that takes Date/Numeric input for the parameters, though in batch mode, is prompting for user to give the parameters. We tried with quotes as well.
    For Example -
    1. Character input : when we run this command supplying the input parameter values (which are characters), report runs fine without prompting for values.
    C:\orant\DISCVR4\dis4usr.exe /connect rep/rep@orals /opendb Schd_Report /batch /sheet 2 /parameter "Process Date" "31-JUL-2006 Month End" /export xls c:\audit_report_5
    2. Date Input -
    C:\orant\DISCVR4\dis4usr.exe /connect rep/rep@orals /opendb "DLS.Arrears Reports" /batch /sheet 1 /parameter "Please Enter Date Using Format YYYYMMDD" 20060703 /export xls c:\CA_arr
When we submit this we get a window prompting for the input values. So his is the issue.
    Thanks
    Raman

  • Reports on the command line

1)Is it possible to run a report that has a parameter form on the command line? I am using rwcli and passing parameters on the command line but it is comming up with the following errors:
REP-0177: Error while running in remote server
REP-0110: Unable to open file 'TestI.rdf'.
REP-1070: Error while opening or saving a document.
REP-0110: Unable to open file 'TestI.rdf'
    2) I want to run a dummy report that calls the actual report. Is it possible to do this on the command line? The dummy report has a dummy query. Should the destype be set to file or screen for this dummy report?
    Thanks

    Hi Srikanth
You can specify the parameters from the command line while running Reports.
Say, if you have a parameter called P_1. While running reports you may specify:
    rwrun report=blah.jsp userid=foo/bar@db P_1=Friday ...
You may specify the destype of the dummy report to file. Perhaps you may want to create this file into a temp folder so that it can be cleaned up regularly.

  • Looking for the parameter/command line to supply the license key during the installation of Adobe Captive CS6 application.

Hello - We are performing customize installation for Captive CS6 with the help of AAMEE tool. We have couple of licenses which we wish to supply over the installation command line during deployment. However we did not find any parameter or the command line which will allow us to enter the license key during installation.  Has any one succeed in finding the command line where we can pass the license key during installation of this application?
    Thanks.

Can you post the last bit of your log file?  100 or so lines should be plenty to see what's going wrong.
