FRM-92100 Jacob / Quit Word.

When using jacob to quit a Word document I'm getting an error as follows:
The error message is as follows:
FRM-92100: Your connection to the Server was interrupted.
Details:
Java Exception:
com.jacob.com.ComFailException: A COM exception has been encountered:
At invoke of: Quit
Description: Not enough storage is available to complete this operation.
The line of the code the message relates to is
word.invoke("Quit", new Variant[] {});
where word is a ActiveXComponent object.
This works successfully in 99% of cases although some users experience intermittent problems which can't be pinned down to a particilar office document and appear to be totally random. The error message indicates that the exception occurs when trying to close the Word session down.
Any advice would be very appreciated.
Thanks,
Jayesh Kavia

I think that fix for bug 5375851 has resolved the problem mentioned and hence this shall be of help.

  • FRM-92100 Java Exception (jacob)

    I'm using Jacob to load specific parts of Office documents into an Oracle database. This works successfully in 99.9% of cases although some users experience intermittent problems which can't be pinned down to a particilar office document and appear to be totally random. The error message indicates that the exception occurs when trying to close the Word session down.
    The error message is as follows:
    FRM-92100: Your connection to the Server was interrupted.
    Details:
    Java Exception:

    I have seen several references to the 92100 catch all error code but none that tie in with this description.
    Could anyone point me in the right direction as to what's causing this error? My first assumption would be the RAM available on the users PC at time of transfer but can't pin this down.
    Many thanks.

  • Frm-92100 due to heartbeat when running a large query

    Hi,
    I have trouble running long queries in the following setup:
    * Forms 10g
    * Oracle-AS 10.1.2.0.2
    * Oracle DB 9.2.0.6.0
    * JInitiator: Version 1.3.1.22
    * I can run the application fine for about 1.5 minutes. Doing long queries (~ 0.5 minutes) with no problems. But when I run a long query so that it runs at 1.5 minutes after starting the Client Session, it will break with an FRM-92100.
    My definition of long queries in this case is: 'not done in an instant'.

    * Due to that I extended the heartbeat frequency. I didn't get the FRM-92100 any more, but then the server process dies. I see the query disappear in the Database ahead of time.
    * So I extended the forms_timeout parameter, but that didn't do any good.
    Anyhow, extending the heartbeats won't really do me any good, because we have processes that last 18h. And they are started from within a Forms session (we are currently migrating from Forms 5).
    * Does anybody have ideas, why long queries could interfere with the heartbeat functionality?

    Yes, I have spent two days on that. Maybe you can give me a hint on how to get more log information

    There are two known scenarios where this occured :
    1. The size of the file grew more than 2GB
    2. When the system runs out of disk space on the driver/volume where

    Note :
    1)when we checked the following file in our server (no such file exists in $ORACLE_HOME on both database and application tiers.

  • Opening a webutil form sends a FRM-92100 error

    Hi,
    I don't have much experience in Oracle Forms, but I'm helping in the implementation of Linux clients. I'm using Firefox and installed the java 1.5.0_11-b03 plugin. I can work on the application without problems, but on some forms it sends me a FRM-92100 error. I asked to the forms programmers for this forms and they told me this forms used webutil functions. I gave permissions to the bin folder in the jvm folder and in the jre folder, but I can't see the jar that apears at the webutil.cfg
    I have very limited access to the Application Server (10.1.2) on Linux, so until now I've tried to change things at the client side. The webutil version is the 1.0.6.
    Thanks in advance,
    Alex Chan

    Solve the problem? Else this might help.
    1. Did you sign the two jar-files accordning to the readme.html?
    2. And did you accept the certificate at runtime?
    3. Also, compile the webutil.pll into webutil.plx

  • My firewall won't let me quit Word

    I finally got a broadband connection but I've run into a little snag: I can't quit Word and I have to resort to force quitting. On the macoshints forum I learned that this could be caused by my firewall. According to the writer, "the microsoft database daemon checks on the local network to see if other copies of Office are in use w/ the same serial number. It should do this at startup and quit. If you have a firewall then you get a hanging spinning beachball of death." And so I turned off my firewall and lo and behold, the problem was solved. My question is, how do I get around this other than keeping the firewall off every time I use Word (a program I must confess I try to avoid whenever possible)?
    I originally posted a similar question in the general Tiger usage forum, but now that I know what's going on, this seemed a better place.
    Thanks in advance.

    I have my machines configured to block port 3868 which I found to be the one used by MS Office for checking for copies of itself on the local network.
    I don't have any problems. Hence I suspect that, with a default firewall configuration that blocks incoming requests but not outgoing ones, you might improve things by making sure port 3868 is blocked for both directions.
    Graham
    PS. I do have licenses for each of my machines but I don't like to have programs sending messages over my network that I don't know about!

    I've noticed that before the last line in error, we have a difference:
    In Metalink document, we can see:

    But my error is:

    If I create a new menu, everything is work fine. So I want to avoid to recreate every time the menu module that cause the error.
    Thanks for your reply.

    What's the matter?PLZ help us to solve this problem. it's very important for us.
    TYAG.

    What changed since it was working???? That could be the pointer to the problem.
    I would also suggest a reboot (just in case). and put the Jinitiator console (if you are using Jinit) to level 5 tracing.

    Hi,
    frm-92100 is a generic error and it happens when the network connection is lost.
    There is a lot of documentation on Metalink about that. Take a look at Note 216639.1
