I have installed AS10g on window 2003 server, after applying configuration on default.env and formsweb.cfg.
when i call my system the following error occured frm-92101 failed during startup

please if any one can guide in order to solve this error,i would like to add that i'm already running my system on AS 10g installed on window 2000 without infrastructure, but when i installed it on window server 2003 plus i installed infrastructure on another machine in window server 2003.

Hi,
1. This doesn't look like Application Server, but Developer Suite!
2. For Developer Suite, you also need to start the OC4J Instance. Did you?
3. You don't need the entries in PATH. The fmx and pll/plx only needs to be added to FORMS90_PATH
4. This looks like an older version. Is it 9i (9.2.0.1) or 10g (9.0.4)?

Hi guys when running EBS i am getting this error:
it happens when i try to load any form i.e hrms managemnet --> work structure -> organization
error : FRM-92101 There was a failure in the forms server during startup
this could happen due to invalid configuration

i got the error in application log that libXm.so.2 is missing, then i installed openmotif to resolve it, but after that form window is not opening.

we are using R12, All the instance started successfully, but when i get in to the form server in application side the error comes like FRM-92101 there was a failure in form server during startup. this could happen due to invalid configuration. please look into web server log for details ,

Forms 10g: error FRM-92101: There was a failure in the Forms Server during

AS10g (9.0.4.1) on windows 2000 with 2 GB of ram
We have an application with 10 - 15 users. Sometimes,when users exit from forms with the command exit_form, in a randomic way the form hangs with the error FRM-92101: There was a failure in the Forms Server during startup.....
After the users have to close the browser and open another sessione of explorer.
In the same time other users work fine.
The problem happens more then 10 times a day.
Is there a solution ?

I have also run into similar problem.
In my case, this problem has been carried over from Forms 6i to Forms 10g. In forms 6i it wrote an error file in the same folder where *.fmx file was stored.
For 10gAS, look into <ORACLE_HOME midtier>\forms90\trace folder for a file *.trc. Open it up in notepad. It will tell you which trigger was being executed when the form failed.
Put any comment in the PL/SQL of that trigger, recompile the form and the problem will go away.
I usually put something like:
dummy statement for FRM-92101.
I do not know why it works but in my case it has.

I'm deploying a forms 10g application . I'm using Oracle Application Server Forms and Reports Services 10.1.2.0.2 under Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5, along with an Oracle 10g Database on another server. Every time I try testing the form services using http://10.0.4.114:7778/forms/frmservlet it brings out the errorFRM-92101- There is a failure in the form server during startup. This could happen due to invalid configuration. Please look into the web server log file for detail
Right now, I'm a bit lost. Can anyone please tell me if there is some parameter I have to set, or something I should do to make it work?

I did not make changes to those files. The forms services are working on another server with Red hat Rel 4 and 3 . What I did is to configure a new server with Red Hat Rel 5 , took the backup of all the forms binaries and the HOME and restore on the new server. I did the same thing for a server running rel 4 and it has no issue:

i am getting "FRM- 92101: There was a failure in the forms server during startup. thisis due to invalid configuration. Please look into the web_server log file for details " error after giving credential for my application. Application server 10G Release 2 (forms and report services) is installed in Linux server. Please Below the linux server details

I refered my forums i tried all workaround .. i could not resolve this issue. kinldy hlep me to resolve this issue.
And Pls let me know what are rps are require in applicaiton server and Database server with respect to this issue?

FRM 92101 is a generic error..It indicates that there had been a problem with the Forms Runtime engine.
Can you please tell
1)Previously were these forms running perfectly???or is this a fresh setup??
2)are you getting this error on a specific form???
3)are you getting the error due to long running form??
4)Have you been through the below metalink ID??

5)Do get FRM92101 after certain number of specific users logged in through your form application ??

Please find the steps I followed before I run this application:
1. I started the OC4J Forms Server on my machine
2. I started the OracleAS Reports Services (Reports Server) on my machine.
3. Connected to the database and run the Forms Application.
I have tried the following options to solve this error:
- I have re-installed Oracle Enterprise Edition Release 9.2.0.1.0 again and retry calling my Reports application from Oracle Forms. Still the same error
persists.
I have written the following code inside 'WHEN-BUTTON-PRESSED' Trigger to call my Oracle Report:
I found that the above error is coming at the following highlighted line below:

Hi ,
I think that this kind of problem persists because of the variety of Forms , Database and maybe OS number-bit versions(32-bit and 64 respectively).
In the past , due to the inequality of number-bit of OS and the Oracle Products , I had many problems.... the import was finished abnormally as the connection to the database was stopped ...

I installed application server 10g R2 couple of days ago. I am facing FRM-92101: There was a failure in forms server during startup. This could happen due to invalid configuration. Please look into the web server log file for the details.
I am getting this message while calling report on a Form. I have created a button on my main form to call a report and when i press that button i get the above error.
Do i need to do any configuration of application server to call reports.

Could you post the block that does the run_report_object?
The server O/S is using what locale?
Also, try running the same report on the command line on the server using rwrun.

Suddenly my r12.1.1 on XP; Cygwin, MVS started giving the above error when i tried to open a form. I have ran autoconfig several times with a status of zero but the error persist.

Learn't that the problem relate to a microsoft bug in respect of java pool. this is resolved by going to system registry via regedit
HKLM/SYSTEM/CURRENTCONTROLSYSTEM/CONTROL/SESSIONMANAGER/SUBSYSTEM - windows
Look for windows on the right and edit the binary file in the sharedsection. Look like the following:
%SystemRoot%\system32\csrss.exe ObjectDirectory=\Windows SharedSection=1024,3072,512 Windows=On
SubSystemType=Windows ServerDll=basesrv,1 ServerDll=winsrv:UserServerDllInitialization,3

I have installed and using developer suite 10g from past 6months in my local desktop windows xp-sp3. i am running the forms using menus in my local desktop.

desktop os(no application server): windows xp-sp3.
forms version: Forms [32 Bit] Version 10.1.2.3.0 (Production)
im using java version: Version 6 Update 45 (Build 1.6.0_45-b06)
the form is using webutil librarys
getting errors from the browser versions: Internet Explorer 6(xp-sp3) & Google Crome Version 28.0.1500.72 m
i have tried several times by compiling the form using shft+ctrl+k and create the fmx again using ctrl+t, but still facing the same issue.
Please help me ASAP, if anyone have any idea about what could be the reason and how could i resolve this issue.

Unfortunately, you are dealing with a situation that will require a lot of patients as this type of error is not easy to troubleshoot.

Are any of your other forms that work using WebUtil? If no - then you may not have completed the WebUtil configuration completely.
The first troubleshooting step is to display the Java Console (Start => Control Panel => Java => Advanced tab => Java Console node => Show Console) as you may be getting an Java Exception that is not being reported through Forms.
