is there a way to determine the certificate with which the particular jar-file was signed?

mkcrt something like this.
u can make certificate by using that batch file in command prompt.

That is becuase Pages 5.1 has numerous unnounced surprises for the unwary user. Among the surprises:
- it strips out images from headers and footers without warning
- it strips out bookmarks without wanring (yes, all those bookamrks you laboriously put into a document: poof! Gone.)
- it strips out alternating left/right margins, without warning.
There are many more suprises, as you'll see from glancing through these discussions. They fall into two main categories: things that are present in version 4.3 but that are missing in 5.1, things like
-mail merge
-meaningful Applescript/Services support
-non-contiguous text selection
-ability to set defaul zoom
-ability to see comments while editing
-ability to print comments
-ability to read RTF files
-ability to drag in hyperlinked ted from a browser
These about about 90 other features are gone.
Then there are the bugs. Hyperlinks do not reliably export to a PDF file any longer. There have been multiple problems with printing report. Some fonts place stray characters in the headers. Many reports of the program crashing, courrupting files, etc.
Fortunately for you, the previous version of Pages is still on your system. Export any documents you may have created or edited with Pages 5.1 (another great surprise: files created with version 5.1 cannot be read by any previous version of Pages: not just 4.3 but even 5.01!). Then trash 5.1 and use 4.3 until (unless?) it is stable and has a reasonably robust feature set.

Images once exported (RAW) do not show up in catalog or previous imorts not film strips in library nor develop. They are in the files to which they were exported

Not sure how to get this going seems rather redundant.
In the last 4 - 5 days I have imported several hundred RAW files, done some minimal post processing and exported these images to various files (I have verified that the images are in the files to which I exported them). These images to no show up in previous imports nor do they show up in library nor develop film strips. How or can I get them to show up for additional review and possible manipulation. I recently did this same operation with largle JPEG files and all went well.
I did initially have some problems with LR recognizing the RAW files but some how was able to overcome that ( perhaps a card issue they are old card and the JPEGs were on a new card hmmmm!!??)
Any ways I supposed I can reimport them from their current files but that is a redundant pain. Suggestions would be apprediated

One possibility is that you accidentally opened a new/different catalog.
Look at File->Open Recent and open the catalogs shown there and see if your photos appear

How do I copy backed-up files from an external hard drive back to my MBA, but under a different user than the one from which they were backed up?

On the advice of the Chicago Mac Genius Bar, in order to get better performance on my few years old MBA, I copied my Home folders (but not Library) to an external hard drive, created a new user, deleted the old user, and tried to copy the Home folder contents from the external hard drive back to the MBA under the new user. However, I get an error message and can't open most of the folders on the external hard drive (e.g. "The folder “Desktop” can’t be opened because you don’t have permission to see its contents.") As captfred says, yes (as long as the drive is formatted for a Mac, not Windoze).

Some of my appointments dissappear from the date on which they were scheduled and revert to the day on which I made the entry - this happens to only some entries not all

I am currently finding it almost impossible to use ical. sometimes when I make diary entries the entry appears as I have entered it in ical but the next day a selection of entries are no longer in their correct position but are listed as all day events for the day on the entry was made. Well, there isn't any family member who could do that, because they don't have any access to my iCloud, so the second one is not an option for sure!
Also, I am positive that photos don't stay in the stream only for 30 days, because I've had those photos from mid-end September in my iPhone, why did they just disappear?They should've disappeared long ago!Also, in my previous device I had photos stored in my stream for up to 8-9 months and they never disappeared, so this one doesn't seem to be the answer!

HT3819 Do songs disappear off all computers if they are deleted from the computer on which they were first imported/downloaded?

I've recently bought a new MacBook Pro and am wanting to sell my old iMac so am trying to transfer all my music. I've turned on Home Sharing and am currently importing all my music onto my MacBook via iTunes but am wanting to wipe my old iMac so I can advertise it. Does anyone know, if I wipe the iMac hard drive (where the songs were imported/downloaded and 'Home Shared' from originally), will I still be able to continue importing them on my MacBook, even though the original files are gone? I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to this kind of stuff so any advice would be greatly appreciated!

If importing hasn't completed, then don't wipe the old computer until it does. Once the importing has completed and the files have been transfererd to the iTunes folder on the new computer - look to be sure the files are actually there - then erasing the old computer will not have any negative effect on the new system.

Using a Self Signed Root CA Certificate with Mail

I'm experimenting with public/private encryption using Mail 3.5 on Mac OS 10.5.6, Keychain Access 4.0.2 and Certificate Assistant 2.0.
I created a Certificate Authority with CA 2.0, granted a certificate to two different users with different email addresses and loaded the certificates into Mail 3.5 on two different machines running 10.5.6. I am able to send and receive signed messages between the two accounts but I'm unable to send encrypted messages, the 'lock' icon remains dimmed.
When I look at keys in Keychain Access I don't find a public key for the receiver's address but I do have a certificate for both sender and receiver and a public and provate key for the sender.
Can anyone shed light on why Mail won't let me encrypt the message?

Anyone have any information at all? This seems like a very basic need for maintaining certificates beyond the usable life of the equipment on which they were created.

This feature has been introduced to make stolen phones useless to those that have stolen them.
However it can also arise when the user has changed their Apple ID details with Apple and not made the same changes to their iCloud account/Find My Phone on their device before upgrading to iOS 7, or if you restore from a previous back up made before you changed your details.
The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID using your current password, you don’t need access to this address if it’s previously been used with your Apple ID, once you have saved these details enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone" and delete the account from your device.
You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, save it once again and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.

My events photo albums have all been renamed with a number followed by IMPRT instead of the date which was how they were originally named. Also the photo now showing on the top of each folder is not actually in that folder. How do I restore?

This happened when I linked to itunes. Any idea how to restore it to how it looked before?

One thing that I find odd is that iTunes used to rebuild the .itl file when you deleted it. It seems as if the newer iTunes somehow broke this old capability. If you delete the .itl file it can't rebuild it- it simple treats this as if this is a fresh installation and completely ignores the fact that the .xml file has all the data in it. I think Apple needs to bring back this old "feature". Of course, the negative with that was that you lost all of the "Date Added" info along with some other stuff but at least it still kept the favorites info etc. (and I think maybe even the path although I don't believe I ever tried that because my account path has never changed until now).
One side note: I can't find where the iTunes Windows SDK is. I was hoping to try to use that to access the .itl "database" and write a utility to fix this situation. Seems like this has moved from its original location...

ADF table: How to find out which rows were modified by the user

Hi,
I am using ADF table to display data that can be modified by the user (ReadOnly = false in the input text). I need to find out which rows were modified by the user, and only update (persist) those rows in the database.
Is there an easy way to find out which rows were modified by the user.
I am NOT particularly concerned with which columns were modified as I would update the entire row (if any data in that row is modified).
I am using Oracle JDeveloper version 11.1.1.3.

When importing a webworks war file, which contains default taglib.tld in the webworks.jar which is packed in /Web-Inf/lib/webworks.2.1.7.jar the war file.
I am getting following error while running the jsp.
Error(6): duplicated tag definitions within the same TLD: text
Error(6): java.lang.NullPointerException
Error(6): Unable to load taghandler class: /webwork
Line which points to Errors is "<%@ taglib prefix="ww" uri="/webwork" %>"
But, There is a taglib.tld in /Web-Inf/lib/webworks.2.1.7.jar!\meta-inf\tablib.tld
which mentions uri as
<taglib>
<tlib-version>2.2.1</tlib-version>
<jsp-version>1.2</jsp-version>
<short-name>WebWork Taglib</short-name>
<uri>/webwork</uri>
</taglib>
But, There is no following entry for '/webwork' (uri) in web.xml
Same war is working fine in tomcat webserver.
Can anybody explain me how to work with this kind of a setup, where taglib is packed in some jar which is packed in Web-Inf/lib dir.

I found the problem. The web-app was finding the class in the APP-INf/lib. But the problem was being caused due to a reference to another class that was being loaded by the webapp classloader which was not visible to the class inside the common jar. The solution was to make sure both classes were being loaded by one class loader.

Unsigned jacob.jar file causing forms loading slow

I have seen sites to sign the jar files, but is it possible to overcome this error without signing. Since this error is taking 10-20 secs more to load the form.

You need to sign both frmwebutil.jar and jacob.jar first the clear JAR cache ion end-user computer,so that new signed JAR files are downloaded to end-user machines..

Jacob.jar and Webutil.jar singing problem(URGENT)

I read the instructions 'Configuring the webutil' and I found that there is not a reference in the file 'signer.properties' which is referenced in the on-line help of Forms Developer (step 4).
The problem is that when i try to sign the 2 jar files 'frmwebutil , jacob'
using this command

after this command a essage appears:
Genrating self signing certificate for key=webutil2...
Keytool error :java .lang.execption:key pair not genrated ,alias <webutil2> already exists
there were wanings or error while genrating a self singing certifciate . please review them.

Perhaps you are using old WLST code (used for OSB 10g), with OSB 11g.
