My wife loves her 3GS and I can hardly wait till my TMob contract (11 years) is up in October. Hope to switch to Verison or Sprint so I can get a 4GS.

How to read the configuration of tree table from the variant of Personalization of the Tree UIBB?

Hi Experts !
I have created an application using Tree UIBB to display the list output along with personalization property. The user can save the settings of the output table such as shuffling of column position and hiding / display of columns in the variant.
The export to excel button gives the output as per the current variant but I need to develop a custom export to excel button, on action of which I need to read the currently selected variant and the visble columns from the variant.
I found that CL_FPM_TREE_ASSISTANCE gets the variant and columns from the personalization object, however, I am unable utilize it in my custom code.
Please help or suggest any class which I can utilize.

I think he means by right clicking the control on the front panel and configuring with the properties dialog. The properties are exposed there, but not within the property nodes.

I have a sales order which has an item text, I need to get the value from the text. I want to test the READ_TEXT function and I am giving values as

Reading Waveform (.hws) files from Analog Waveform Editor into LabVIEW causes read errors

Hi Gang,
In my application, I want to create files Using the Analog Waveform Editor and then, through LavVIEW, play them out through an D/A.
I've not been able to read the .hws file into LV. I've tried two methods:
Using the Read Waveform VI in the Waveform palette, yields Error -1821.
I looked in the knowledgebase and found the article "Using the Analog Waveform Editor and HWS Files with Multifunction DAQ Devices" That recommended using the HWS VIs that are a part of the FGEN driver. I tried that and get an Error -21515.
The file I want to read is quite small, only 20 samples. Is there some limitation on .hws files or the Waveform Editor I'm not aware of?
I've attached the file if anyone is willing to experiment. I had to change the extension from .hws to .txt to be able to attach it.
All responses will be appreciated.

Interesting. I tried to look at your file with the low level read .hws file vi's and I too got error -21515. So I tried the NI-HWS express load.vi and it looks like it worked. I'm not familiar with the analog waveform editor...does it store using the dynamic data type? Oh I converted the dynamic data to 1d array of waveforms using the convert from dynamic data.vi.

How do I read the X register for HP 4194

I downloaded the driver for the 4194 from the NI website. The manual
for the 4194 mentions a X register that contains the x values of my
sweep. I would like to read this register rather than create another
loop to generate the x quantities separately.
I am trying to do a logarithmic sweep of the frequency for conductance
measurements, so that I can do a larger range of freqencies without
being limited by the maximum limit of 401 data points.
I could write the code to generate the log sweep of the freqency, but
it would just be much easier to get the X data off from the instrument.
There is a sub-vi in the driver that can read all the other registers,
but I could not find a selection for the X register. This might be a
case of simply putting an X instead of another register name there, I
will try that, but if anyone has already done this before, I would like
your input.

I have not used this driver before and do not have the instrument in front of me, but I do have one suggestion. First, what VI are you talking about that reads the other registers?
If there is some functionality of the instrument that is not in the driver you can write VISA code for this extra functionality. If you know the command to send to get these register values you can add a VISA write and a VISA read in your code.
One more suggestion would be to post to the Instrument Driver forum and not the LabVIEW forum. If you create a new thread and choose Instrument Drivers instead of LabVIEW this may reach more people that have possibly used this driver before.

Is there a DJ app for the Ipad that will read the "start" and "stop time" setting for each individual song, as they are set in the song Options screen in Itunes? The Ipod Touch, by itself does not allow cross-fading, therefore when the stop time is edited short, the song jusst truncates then goes to the next song. I tried the DJay ap and while it would crossfade, it would NOT read the song settings for the stop marker. So now I want to try and Ipad and see if there is an app that will READ the Itune stop settings within the song. I do NOT want an app that will allow me to DO the stop marker. I want an app that will READ the stop marker from the song as it is set in Itunes.

Itunes provides the option for setting the Start and Stop times of each music track. However, the start and stop times do not synchronize to the iPhone. I don't understand why this option is even available as it doesn't work when listening to music on the phone. I have not found another application that will support the start and stop time markets. I have searched quite a bit for this but can't find anything. I hope we can find something.

UPDATE. Just spoke with an AppleCare representative, Apple has been inundated with requests for these iPod Nano replacements. They have fallen behind with sending out the return boxes in the 2 days they promised. I was told to wait an additional 2 days. She also said they were very surprised so many people still have their 1st generation nanos...

I forgot my main user password and so then allowed someone on my laptop who accidently changed over into the guest user! Now I can't get back into my main user and I was wondering if anybody could either help me reset the password from the guest user or even reboot my laptop so the memory is wiped and I can set up my main user again. Has anyone been able to get a repair/proper fix from Apple for their LCD?

The more I use my Macbook Pro while traveling the more i notice the 'sparkly/grainy' display. Compared to the White/Black Macbook it is obviously noticable what i'm talking about - especially on white backgrounds. My question is - has anyone been able to get a proper repair/fix for this common problem for the Core 2 Duo 15" Macbook Pro's?
I normally have my Macbook Pro connected to an external display but when i do take it along when I travel it stands out more and more every time.
Is Apple going to issue a 'recall/repair' for their customers who bought their Macbook Pro's? What am I to do here, When i need to use my laptop when I travel I can't take the annoyance of using this LCD screen.

Yes, I can CLEARLY see it, it's like wearing glasses that are filthy. The laptop is one week old and I could see it from after the 802.11n upgrade. This is not all that zoomed, really. To me it looks like a video memory problem, not a LCD problem. The problem is the same if I connect an external DELL monitor. Also very visible there. Also very visible if I change resolutions or number of colours. The main reason I believe it's a video memory thing is that when I move a window, it changes from white to, well... yellow and red. All support for your iPhone in the Philippines is handled by Globe, so you need to continue to work with them on the issue. No one here can help you directly with this issue, nor is there any way you can yourself contact the repair depot in Singapore (if indeed that's where it is). You can, however, try calling Apple Support in the Philippines at 1-800-1441-0234, ask to speak with someone in Customer Relations, and ask if there's anything they can do to help expedite the process.

Facebook apparently has their site coded poorly for tablets with touch screens. Try using the Facebook app. It is not perfect either but it is better than view in a browser lately.

Make sure you are checking the email address you used to set up your iCloud account. Check the spam/junk folder as well as the inbox. If it isn't there, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage your Apple ID, sign in, click on Name, ID and Email addresses on the left, then to the right click Resend under your Primary Email Address to resend the verification email.

1: TimeMachine saves states of changes and thus requires more room on the TM drive than the boot drive it's backing up.
