From client icon are like Unix !

On the server (G4 OS XServer 10.3.9) all seems good. From a network connection (computer in 10.3 & 10.4), the files have a bad icon identified like "Unix". I've repaired the permissions on all the computer with the softwre "Onyx", but the problem still there. What can I do ? Thanks for your help.

According to this thread, SMB does not support metadata such as the file's type and creator codes. Therefore, a lot of files may appear as UNIX executable files whenever you connect with SMB. Use AFP to connect to the server.

Hi Experts,
While making the payment to the vendors through TN F110, in "PARAMETER" screen just next to 'STATUS' screen, there is a vendor field for selection in range and just ahead of this there is an icon for multiple vendor selection ( Bold arrow mark ). If I click on that multiple vender selection icon ( on bold arrow mark ), an another screen opens for multiple selection for vendors. In this screen 'Enter, Copy, Delete etc' icons are appearing at the bottom of the screen but "Import from Text File" & "Upload from Clipboard" icon are not appearing there.
Can you please let me know how to bring that icons there?

I have not yet created anything and have just entered the parameter. In the multiple screen for vendors there are 5 fields for individual and 5 for range selection. Even you can put more than five range selections or individual selections by clicking on the page button but there I am not finding these two icons.
Can you please check at your end and let me know if you are getting or what to do to bring those two icons in F110.

When you upgraded to Lion did you have AppleWorks installed on your mac?
Most of the AW documents can be opened by Pages 09 or Numbers 09 with most of the orginal format in tact. (I do not know if previouse verision will work) just open the AW file with both and see which one works best.
Text Edit will also open most of the AW files as well but will require a lot of work to restore them to their orginal format.
If you have AW Database documents then they are not supported.
These document show up as "exec icons", Kind: Unix Executagle File.
They also will show up as .cwk file if they are small files. I have a couple that were under 1mb that are shown as " Kind: AppleWorks Document" but will not open.
The only option to open AW database is to have AW installed on a mac with a pre-Lion OS to recover the file.

Removing icons/gifs from client cache

I created icons for my web forms 9i in gif format. They are showing up nicely. However, when i changed the gif files with newer version of the icons, the old ones are still showing up. I have no copies of the old gifs anywhere on the app server, and have tried viewing the application on multiple clients and have erased temp. internet files and deleted all cookies. However, the old icons are STILL showing up. Any ideas?

i think u are able to display the icons at runtime using forms 9ids,
actually from few days i m trying to dislpay icons at run time but with out any success.
i had made a simple push button and in its properties i had made the following changes
iconic=yes
icon filename=c:\temp\save
the file save.GIF is saved under c:\temp directory.
i had tried all the changes in registry.dat,orion file
through the doc 203846.1 from metalink.
can u give me sample code step to step for showing a
pushbutton with icon during run time.
i want step by step procedure and not the suggested changes.
it would be nice if u can help on this

As of 10/10/2011 all my icons are gone from my main display screen EXCEPT Applications (which doesn't open anything if I click on it--in fact I then lose that icon as well) and the Profiles icon. A hard reset doesn't do anything to fix the problem.

There is no Autoloader to remove from your device...Autoloaders are apps on the PC that load, to the device, a specific OS package. But the Autoloader itself is not resident on the device at all. So, your remedy would most likely to be to use a different AutoLoader for a different OS level and see if that does not display this same problem for you.
You did not reveal the specific OS level you are discussing...please note that if it is anything beyond the presently officially released levels (e.g., a "leak"), then it is not supported and is also against the Ts and Cs of this site to be discussed here.

Copy file from client machine to unix db server

Dear all,
I have oracle form 10g, and data base server using 10 r 2,
I have an oracle for to browse client XML file and return the name of the file including the path to TEXT item what I want to do after that is to copy the seelcted file from the client to DB server (hint this server over Unix operating system)
I tried
V_Cpy_Result := Webutil_File.Copy_File ('C:\File_Name.Xml', '/u01/oradata/odsuat/ssr_xml_dir/Outbound/File_Name.Xml');
but this does't work, please provide me with the way or the command that I can copy the selected file from client to Unix DB server...

Check this post, the dial assist is part of the iOS 7.1, according to page 49 of the iphone_user_guide
Make calls to your contacts and favorites while traveling abroad. (GSM) Go to Settings > Phone and turn on Dial Assist. Dial Assist automatically adds the prefix or country code for calls to the U.S.
This user had a similar problem and solved it by switching off the dial assist feature in Settings/Phone/Dial Assist

Thanks for that. Much more constructive than the last comment. It's only the restriction code I can't recall, not the access passcode. So I can currently access the device, just not age restricted content. Does that's make a difference? I also wondered if anyone knew how many attempts you get to try to get it right. Now tried 21 times and so far nothing bad has happened but I am concerned I'll eventually be completely locked out of the device. That doesn't seem in the spirit of things though. Surely it's foreseeable that a child could repeatedly try to guess the code so I can't see that it would be right to lock the device down completely in that circumstance, particularly if the access code is being typed in correctly every time.

It is best to use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot and make sure that you do not exceed a maximum file size of 1 MB.

In that case, there may be a problem with your Finder preferences or window settings.
Try removing these files, then restarting:
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist
~/Desktop/.DS_Store
Let me know if you're not sure how to do that.

File icons are missing from my ML desktop. Name is there but the icon is missing. How do I fix this?

Some of my file icons are missing from the Mountain Lion desktop. The file name is there but not the icon. The file can be opened when the words are double clicked. The files show up properly in Adobe Bridge. These are Photoshop files. How do I fix the problem?

Get Info (cmd-i) on one of these files. In the "Open with" tab is PS selected?
If that's so it may be some corruption LaunchServices.These are only cache files but can get corrupted.
Launch /Utilities/Terminal and copy & paste this at the command line to rebuild LaunchServices:
(EDIT: Be sure to copy the entire line of code it is a slider)

/System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/LaunchServices.framework/Versions/A/Support/lsregister -kill -r -domain local -domain system -domain user
Then press return. Wait until terminal returns to the command line. Quit Terminal. After that, log out and back in or restart. Let us know
