From Clipboard to file

Have read loads but can't get it working. I have notepad open with a selection of text that I copy to the clipboard - how do I get that to save to a text file?
I have read lots of clipboard posts and examples but I don't want to create a clipboard I am using the clipboard in Notepad, I just need to extract it using Java into a file on the click of a button from a jFrame?
Many thanks in advance.
Annette

  • "Import from Text File" & "Upload from Clipboard" icon not appearng in F110

    Hi Experts,
While making the payment to the vendors through TN F110, in "PARAMETER" screen just next to 'STATUS' screen, there is a vendor field for selection in range and just ahead of this there is an icon for multiple vendor selection ( Bold arrow mark ). If I click on that multiple vender selection icon ( on bold arrow mark ), an another screen opens for multiple selection for vendors. In this screen 'Enter, Copy, Delete etc' icons are appearing at the bottom of the screen but "Import from Text File" & "Upload from Clipboard" icon are not appearing there.
Can you please let me know how to bring that icons there?
    Points would be awarded.
    Rgds,
    Shailesh

    Hi Ravi,
I have not yet created anything and have just entered the parameter. In the multiple screen for vendors there are 5 fields for individual and 5 for range selection. Even you can put more than five range selections or individual selections by clicking on the page button but there I am not finding these two icons.
Can you please check at your end and let me know if you are getting or what to do to bring those two icons in F110.
    Rgds,

  • I am trying to create a panorama, when I enter File New I don't get the Photomerge Panorama option, the only options that appear are Blank file and File from clipboard.  How do I get photomerge panorama

I am trying to create a panorama.  When I enter FILE > NEW > the Photomere panorama option does not appear.  the only options are Blank file and file from clipboard.  This is in Elements 11 on Windows 8.1 OS.  How do I get Photomerge Panorama to appear.

Since PSE11, you access the photomerge option in the 'Enhance' menu, last option. Or you can use the organizer (menu Edit / Photomerge).

PE9 for Macwon't open blank files or "copy from clipboard."  I get error messages that say, "Could not complete the command because of a problem using the Adobe color engine," when I try to create a new blank file, and "Could not place because of a program error" when trying to "copy from clipboard."  I tried reinstalling the software, but that didn't help.

Are you still facing the same problem ?
can you try it after resetting your preferences.
To reset your preferences at the time of launching PSE press command+option+shift key combination untill following pop up comes.

  • I'd like to save to file/database image from clipboard

    Hi, I've got following problem.
In my swing application I would like to pase image from clipboard (f.ex. copied from msword). I use following code to do that:
    TransferHandler handler=jLabel.getTransferHandler();
    handler.importData(jLabel,clipData);
Then I want to save image to database.
I know it should look like this:
    ImageIO.write(RenderedImage im, String formatName, OutputStream output);
But how to transform image from clipboard or graphics from jLabel1.getGraphics into RenderedImage ???
    thanx in advance !

Starting with the original image I adjusted the levels (Image>Adjustments>Levels (Ctrl L) to the following settings:
Then using the marquee tool I selected the areas not in use and filled with white:
Till you get something like this:
Then I used the brush tool to fill the other bits of the lines in white using these settings:
Once you are happy with the result with a white background go to the Blending Options on your layer:
and set the blend as below and press ok:
This will make your layer look like its got a transparent background, then create a new transparent layer and place underneath:
When you have done this combine the 2 layer by selecting both and then right click and merge layers:
After these steps save as a .psd file then you can copy anything you need from this file.
I hope this all makes sense and you get the result you want. Like I said fiddly! :-)

  • Upload clipboard or file to a selection in the internet explorer

    Hello gurus,
I built a query at the Bex 7 and on this query I built an WebTemplate in the Web Application Designer. This template is implemented in the portal. The customer open the template at the Internet Explorer (IE). At the beginning a selection screen is showed. On this screen customers could district the result of the query. The customer have to write many article in the selection.
My question is: Do anyone know if there are an "Upload from clipboard or txt.-file to a selection"? Or can I develop this? Maybe in a User-Exit for example?
    Kind regards
    Tobias

    Hi Nina,
I have not tried using paste with an input_field_item button.  We do the paste operation in the initial variable screen that comes up when the query is run.
For me, the fields of most interest are 0FUND and 0EMPLOYEE, which are NUMC values.  I am not sure what you mean with "110 signs", but I'll assume you mean 110 Characteristic values.
As a test, I pasted values into a variable field of type CHAR to see how it works.  It does, but I am not sure how many values can be pasted in.  For an InfoObject that is only a CHAR value, the unique values can be many.  I tried a few (using wildcard) such as:  VALUE1; TERM-A; SOMETHING
This works.  However, the InfoObject was a CHAR(60).  Thus, if I tried to paste in 110 actual values (vs using a wildcard), the number of letters pasted would vary wildly as some of the fields have 5 letters, some have 60.  There must be a limit to the number of letters that can be pasted into the variable field?
Does this help?  BTW:  We are using BI 7.0 (SP19).

  • Replace from clipboard, or "connect overlapping wires" ?

I am going back through many of my early block diagrams and cleaning up the code
with things that I've learned since I started using Labview.  A lot of this involves deleting
objects, then copy/paste from a good reference design into the old design.   However,
this often leaves a lot of broken wires to clean up.    For example, where I had individual
enums that are used throughout the design I am replacing them with typedef enums.
(I could not get the typedef controls to show up in my functions palette, but that's a matter
    for a different post)
As it is my only choices appear to be "replace->Select a VI->[.llb file]->typedef->[OK]",
or delete the old one, paste in the new one, ctrl-B and re-wire.  That second option seems
to go faster than the first one.  But in either case it's a lot of click and drag to replace one
control, and there are scores of them to be done.
So the wire routing is identical, but it takes time to hook them all back up.
Is there any way to tell LV to "re- connect broken wires that overlap pins",
either globally or within a specified area?
Or is there a way to simply "replace from clipboard"?
    Thanks and Best Regards,

Oh, dear, I think I hit "solved" too soon.  I had used search and replace before for *text*, but not for *objects*.
It turns out that the object search is rather primitive.  For example, I can find *all* FP controls, but I cannot find a *specific* FP control by name (no, not the label text, the object itself).   Also, when searching for FP controls, I can replace *all*, but I cannot replace individually selected controls.  And the search results to not list the controls' labels, so I can't know which ones to individually select anyway.   So I'm afraid this search/replace function has quite a ways to go before it is usable for this purpose.

What versin of LV aare you using?
A method that can speed things up is to copy the type-def'd object into your clipboard then click on the object that needs replaced to select it then hit "ctrl-v" to replace the previous with the new. That will save you having to re-wire then nodes.
If you really want to un-mark a solution flag you can use the options drop-down to un-mark it. I still think Lynn's suggestion counts as a solution.

  • Forms 11gR2 - paste from clipboard into image item

Hi, how can I paste image from clipboard straight into an Image item on Form?
If it can't be done via standard Forms functionality, is there any workaround - I mean can Java Bean do it, or maybe drag and drop via Beans Area?
I know it's quite odd functionality, but any hint is much appreciated.
    Thanks in advance. Jack

    Hello,
<p>I think that it is not possible. The only ways to populate an Image Item is to use the Read_Image_File() or to query from the database.
You can use a Java Bean that allows to drag and drop an image file.</p>

  • How to save image from Clipboard to disk?

    Hello;
I want to take a screen capture of the entire screen, not only the front
panel and save it to a file. Don't care about the image format right now.
I am able to simulate a PrintScreen key using a call to user32.dll
"keybd_event" in Win2K, but I am stuck here. How do I get that image that is

    nothing yet.
    Thanks is advance,

    LabVIEW 6.1

I've kind of done it "programmatically".... using the "system exec.vi" I've
started mspaint.exe... then, I paste the image and save it to disk (too bad
the last two steps are manually done!!!)
The limited documentation on System Exec says it has a Standard Input
terminal... but, I haven't figured out how to programmatically send CTRL-V
or ALT-E to the MSPAINT application as command inputs...
    Any further ideas?

  • Cannot paste from clipboard. Cannot read the available clipboard formats.

I cannot open a new or old pagemaker 6.5 document.  The message comes up 'cannot paste from clipboard.  Cannot read the available clipboard formats.
It will not let you do anything and I have to close by Alt. Ctrl. Delete.
Any help would be much appreciated.
    Linda

Let me confirm what you're saying.
PM (windows?) loads up OK, but when you try to open an existing or create new publication, you get the error "'cannot paste from clipboard.  Cannot read the available clipboard formats"?
!. PM6.5 can only be operated on a contemporary OS, like Win98SE or Win2K.  Generally speaking, with later versions on Windows, it's a non-starter.  If this is the case, and it's essential you open your PM files, download and install the trial version of PM7.
    2. You probably have some corruption somewhere.  You can try trashing all the configuration files (search using the string  PM65*.cnf ) and re-loading PM65
    3. If suggestion 2 fails, you need to remove and re-install PM65, but even this may not work.  See 7.6 - Re-installing PageMaker of this linked PDF which was taken from the old AdobeForums FAQs.  (Note the date of this FAQs and begin to realise how ancient PM65 is.)
    4. Forget all the above, and move to InDesign.

  • Copy image from clipboard

    hi
Is there any way to find out about type of image that you are coping from clipboard. Because i receive only this type image/x-java-image. I need to know if image is jpg or png.

read the OP, OK then. "image/x-java-image", not application/x-java-file-list.
the question was "what type of image was
copied to the clipboard". if it was pixel/raw data
then whether or not it was jpg or png is what's
irrelavent. That is what I said in my first post. "image/x-java-image" is what Java return when you copy a Image (print screen, open Paint select, copy etc).
When you copy a File it returns a List of Files.
i felt it was obvious that this was a
file (which is still an image) and not pixel buffer
data.It sounds to me like the OP has copied an image from an image program (or hit print screen). At which point it is a raw pixel buffer.

  • Import DDL from clipboard

    Hi,
I would like to see an option in SQL Data Modeler to generate table from Clipboard.
    Scenario:
I copy DDL code in some webpage or IDE. I then would go in Data Modeler: File->Import->Clipboard
After this action table model is generated in Data Modeler the same way as importing from DDL file or other source.

the database I generated the DDL from is 2008 R2, but my question is more about the DDL formatting supported...different tools format generated DDL differently sometimes and I would like to know what limitations DM has when importing DDL - I can't find any detailed info on this.
