From Labview 7.1 help, can't load example vi's

Quick question:
When in Labview 7.1 Help, I can no longer load example vi's. I receive a message: "An error occurred – The NI HelpServer could not be found."
A search on the NI website finds this issue listed & a solution given for Labview version 7.0. It is suggested to:
Solution: NI HelpServer is one of two services which open TCP/IP ports to communicate with other NI applications running on your computer, such as the NI Example Finder and the LabVIEW Help. By default, LabVIEW 7.0 will launch this service at startup, however, if it has been disabled you will get this error message. In order to enable the HelpServer, navigate to C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 7.0\resource\system and run the HelpServer.llb. On the front panel of the Set HelpServer Config Settings__NATIONAL INSTRUMENTS.vi you will see a boolean control to enable the server. Turn this switch on and run the VI. The LED indicator in the HelpServer.vi will turn on and you will be able to access the shipping examples from the NI Example Finder.
One finds a HelpServer.llb / HelpServer Config Settings routine in Labview 7.1 as well, and after setting the LED green, the new error message reads:
Error 63 occured while trying to open this example using the NI Example VI Finder.

Hi Targa,
Please make sure that you are not blocking the "Port Used" by other applications or firewalls. You might also want to stop and restart the HelpServer.vi several times to access an available port.
Let me know if you keep getting the error.

    No. For one, iTunes does not play DVDs directly, you'd have to convert it. Most commercial DVDs are encoded with copy protection and it is illegal to circumvent this in the USA and some other countries (thank the big media company lobbies for getting this law passed).  You cannot legally get access to the files to convert them to something iTunes can use.

    Your only way is if you have the version that was compatible on your computer such as in the recycle bin/trash or in a computer file backup. In that case delete the current version that is in your iTunes App library and replace it with the older version. Then sync.

  • Error Code 150:30 -  Photos Missing From My Catalog and LR Can't Load Them

    LightRoom 5.5 stopped functioning and cannot find the catalogs or files I was using for the last several days.  I receive Error Code 150:30 and am advised to contact Adobe Support, though I can't seem to find a direct link to do so.  Is the issue possibly related to licensing issues?  I purchased a copy of LR 5 from B&H and later received two licenses through purchases of Leica cameras.  I am trying to get myself setup on LR, but seem to be locked out until I can reestablish the links to my photo files which seem to be grayed out.  Thanks for any help or guidance.  Robert

  • Ipod back from "diagnosis" by apple - now can't load library onto ipod

    My ipod - 5th generation color screen - recently completely stopped working, no matter what self help i tried.
    i sent it away to apple to be repaired [ it's still under warranty] it came back with the all clear - they had installed firmware on it - thats all they did. it now "works" ie. doesn't freeze and the battery life is ok. however, when i try to synch my 2,500 songs from my i-tunes library back on to the ipod it gets stuck at track 315 and won't go any further.
    my pc also slows down dramatically and the coloured wheel ie. "it's thinking" stays on the screen for ages and ages until i lose patience and end up having to "force quit".
    any ideas or suggestions?

    I am not too sure, you can use the repair permission on the disk utility.
    If you cant find them, try to move 20 songs each time to a special playlist to update with your iPod. You will have them with error message during the update

  • Please Help - Can't load latest version of Adobe Flash Player

    I just purchased an iMac OS X version 10.7.3. 
    My kids keep trying to play games but are prompted that they need to download Adobe Flash player.  I follow the prompts for the latest version, but no luck.  It says it's successfully installed.  When I go to system preferences and click on the flash player, it says "plug in version 11.2.202.228 is installed" but when I click the "check now" box and it tales me to the Adobe websitem, under version information it says I have 9.0.124.0 installed?  I have uninstalled and reinstalled countless times to no avail. 
    Any ideas?

    Quit your browser.
    Open System Preferences > Flash Player then select the Storage tab. Click: Delete All
    Select:  Delete All Site Data and Settings
    Then click:  Delete Data
    Relaunch your browser.
    If that didn't help, uninstall the Flash plugin then reinstall new >  Troubleshoot Flash Player | Mac OS
    Then launch your browser and empty the cache. If you are using Safari, from the Safari menu bar click Safari > Empty Cache.
    Then try a video.

    Hello Albert,
    These are older examples which require the NI SoftMotion Development Module. I think these two links will do a better job of explaining the difference than me.

  • After PC crash, can I load info from IPod to new ITunes library?

    My laptop crashed and Dell reconfigured it back to factory settings. My ITunes library was deleted. I downloaded ITunes again but now it doesn't recognize the data from my IPod. How can I load the data from my IPod into the new ITunes library? Is there anyway to "reverse sync"?

    1). Connect your iPod to your computer. If it is set to update automatically you'll get a message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all the songs from your iPod.
    2). When your iPod appears in the iTunes source list change the update setting to manual, that will let you use our iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Check the "manually manage music and videos" box in Summary then press the Apply button. Also when using most of the utilities listed below your iPod needs to be enabled for disc use, changing to manual update will do this by default: Managing content manually on iPod and iPhone
    3). Once you are safely connected there are a few things you can do to restore your iTunes from the iPod. There are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well. Have a look at the web pages and documentation, this is just a small selection of what's available, they are generally quite straightforward.     There's also a manual method of copying songs from your iPod to a Mac or PC. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available on page 2 at this link: Copying Content from your iPod to your Computer - The Definitive Guide
    4). Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync.
    5). I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up, relying on an iPod as your sole backup is not a good idea and external drives are comparatively inexpensive these days, you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay: Back up your iTunes library by copying to an external hard drive

    I have a NetraX1 500 mhz, and i reinstalled Solaris 8. Now when I boot up I get this error:

    he Netra X1 won't even boot from the image, with a "can't load tod module"
    error.
    A fresh jumpstart image with the latest mis.netra-x1.....zip file does
    work. The latest zip file is named mis.netra-x1.259-3836-03.zip .
    The way to access them is to start with http://www.sun.com/netra , click
    on NETRA SOLUTIONS in the table, click on Sun Solutions, and then Software
    Drivers in the Netra X! Software Drivers column.

  • Change numeric format type under edit limits from Labview

    Hello,
    is it possible to change under Edit Limits the numeric format type (Hex, Decimal, Real...) from LabView? 
    Is there any way to change this types from Labview. Because i can't found an variable like step.result.numeric or what ever.

    Hi Tumbler,
    Within the TestStand Sequence Editor for a step which has limits, then on the Edit Limits dialog should be a control which will allow you to change the format which is set to <default>. I think you might have to click on another button which will bring up another dialog which will allow you to change the format. ( I haven't got testStand to hand at the moment, so I am working from memory).

  • Can't load any files

    Hi there,
    I just got Logic and Mainstage and installed them on my MacBook. Loading up Logic works fine but when Mainstage loaded it picked up the Halion Orchestral plugin (Cubase 5 is also installed on the MacBook) and as I didn't have the copy protection dongle in at the time it came up with an error message. I cancelled the dongle error and Mainstage loaded up regardless - but I can't do anything. If I go to File > New, absolutely nothing happens and I don't have any files to load up.
    Does anyone have any idea why it would do it and what to do to sort it out? Is a reinstall necessary?

    Yes, you should get a window offering a choice of templates to load.
    From what you say, you can't load a template from the menu bar either. I take it that you have tried plugging in the dongle & restarting MainStage.
    If that is the case, it sounds as though a re-install is called for.
    Before doing that, you could try repairing permissions; that often cures irritating problems like this.
    The other thing you could try is to remove the MainStage plist & try running MainStage again. If neither of these options work, then re-install.

    I am having similar issues with a *.exe from LV6.1.  I have the runtime engine for 6.1 and recently upgraded to 8.2 from 7.1.  I've never had 6.1 on my machine.  I am able to install this executible and runtime engine on a machine with 7.1 and can run the *.exe fine. 
    I get a load error and am not sure why.  I have had similar issues with old VI's that I have written in 7.1 executing on this machine w/ 8.2
    any suggestions.

    As you know, your iPhone 5 is not compatible with our iBook G4. To get your music in iTunes from your iBook to your iPhone you would need to migrate the music files to a newer intel based Mac. A Mac which has Mac OS X 10.6 or higher installed. Then sync your iPhone 5.
