From nt to 2000: vis work but some have error: in device 52 on flex_read_adc
we just moved an application from windows nt to windows 2000. we use a pci-flexmotion 6c and the 5.1.1 driver with a patch. the application is generally working, but with some vis there comes the error-box: "in device 52 on flex_read_adc".

From the appearance of that error dialog it doesn't seem to belong to any error generated by the FlexMotion driver. It looks a lot more like a user defined error dialog that might have been made by whoever coded your application. I would ask them, or , if you prefer, you could send us your code by contacting an applications engineer at 1-866-ASK-MYNI or posting it here. We will gladly ty to reproduce the problem and let you know where the error is coming from.

Is it possible to get iPhone audio (telephone calls) from Lightning connection? Music works, but calls switch to internal or extenral speakers, not lightning (for e.g. docking station, car...)!
I want to get the audio out of the lightning connection (the way you get audio when you connect it to a dock). It works properly with music, but when making a telephone call, it switches to the internal speraker. You can change to the external spekers, but you cannot select another audio out. It's also possible to get the telephone audio from the analogue connection, but that's not what I want. I want telephone audio from lightning...
Would be so great if anybody has an ideaI must also say that the second update ruined my Lumia's battery life.
With the first (out-of-the-box) update the phone usually had 30 percent of battery after a quite hard day (e.g. more than an hour of talking via bluetooth handsfree, more than two hours of listening to the music via bluetooth, more than an hour of browsing via wifi, and reading hundreds of e-mails via two mail accounts). I never managed to discharge it after one day (e.g. 14-16 hours) of continous use, no matter how much I talked, listened and browsed.
Now, with the secod update, it discharges to 20% after 12 hours of laying still almost without use (30 mins of music, less than 15 mins of talking and nothing more), and discharges completely with the usage pattern described above.
Did the second update contain some Android code? -
i have transferred my pictures from a PC to iPhoto but some have remained in a pictures folder. How can I move them to pictures?

You want to always use iPhoto with a default referenced library (the preference to copy imported item to the iPhoto library is checked) ad then delete the source photos

I just got new ipad mini....I want to delete all of the music that was synced from my itunes account. I have went through and deleted some songs one by one but some have a cloud icon with a red arrow on them.....is there a simple way just to delete them?
Yes there is. Those songs are not actually on your iPad. They are in iCloud ready for download if you choose to do so. If you want to remove them go to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Show All>Music>Off. You can also do this in Settings>Music>Show All Music>Off.

I have just used migration assistant to import photos (using an ethernet cable) from my PC. It has worked but they have gone into a new user on my MacPro. How can I merge them into the one user account.
How many pictures (or how many bytes) are we talking? Now that the pictures are imported one way to cross users is to use a removable drive (although large volumes of files preclude this).
The other is to login as the user where the pictures are, then copy them into the public drop box of the user where you want the picture.
The arrow is showing (in ths example) copy files from the Pictures folder for my user to the guest user accounts public dropbox. When you do this you may have to authenticate and you won't be able to see the results of the copy until you log in as the other user.
All users are in the folder "/Users/" -
I sprayed it a year ago i really like the keyboard and i really need it can it be recovered??? My apple wireless keyboard got wet a year ago i sprayed the cleaning spray on it some of the keys are working but some of the keys aren"t working. it got sprayed a year ago What should i do??? Can it be recovered plz tell?
There is almost no chance it can be recovered, except at a cost far greater than a new keyboard. Once wet, spraying with a cleaner will not do any good and most likely will make the situation worse.
Best thing at this point is go to your Apple store, or the on-line store, and buy a new keyboard. Water damage is not covered by the warranty or AppleCare. -

pls help my iphone 4 was on activation "required". i jailbroke it then it worked but some of the applications were crashing down,won't open. i tried a lot of tutorials and then error message 3194 came out. stucked in recovery mode,and then i use snowbreeze and then it worked!!!! but another problem came, i turned off my iphone then i switched it on again then it stucked in apple logo,.after doing some thing again 1604, 1600 bla bla bla came out..pls help me fix my iphone.

I shoot RAW with my 7D Mark II. PS is up-to-date. Some of my photos from the same shoot will process but some say they can't be read. What is going on?

All images are visible on my camera. I am using fairly new 32GB CF and SDHC cards. I will see if my card reader makes a difference. I was going over photos I took in 2012 that I have reviewed before and some of them now aren't readable now.

Hi, I want to downgrade from OSX LEOPARD to OSX TIGER but I have a few questions regarding this. My iMac is originally from Sep 2007 it came preloaded with tiger. I have original install (2) tiger discs version 10.4.10. I want to know if it is safe and what are the necessary steps to do so. Also by downgrading im wondering if a lot of apps nowadays support tiger for example I have photoshop version 5 and 4 these are very important to me. One last question does anyone know of any reliable virus protection for mac that doesnt slow down your computer? because I have read that a lot of them do so. 800 MHzMost of the time a perception of general slow performance is the result of installing third party junk alleged to speed up, "clean" or "optimize" your Mac, or to look for viruses that don't exist. Ideally you would know what you installed so you can uninstall it, but if you don't know or aren't sure there are techniques such as Safe Mode and creating a temporary user account to confirm that suspicion.
If you open Activity Monitor it may show a process, or processes, that occupy a lot of your system's time.
Slowness confined solely to web browser activity is often the result of an inexorable progress toward websites that demand ever more processor-intensive tasks. If your slow performance is strictly limited to web browsing, you might try disabling Flash by either uninstalling it, or use utilities such as ClickToFlash that allow you to control what Flash content gets loaded. Flash in itself is not inherently evil, but there is nothing to stop websites or the advertisers who pay for them from writing horrible Flash code that can do everything from hogging 100% of your CPU's time to causing random crashes. You can watch Activity Monitor as in the above to correlate these troublesome web pages with performance degradation.
You are correct; if your computer shipped with Tiger you may certainly revert to it. I forgot that Tiger was shipping on new Macs as recently as five years ago. To downgrade it would be necessary to completely erase your hard disk and boot with the Tiger installation DVD, followed by installing it anew. Such drastic measures are not necessary and you are unlikely to be satisfied with the results anyway.
Assuming your system is free of third party parasitic junk attached to OS X in an ill-conceived attempt to improve upon it, that your hard disk drive is sound and the boot volume has enough free space to work with, by far the best performance-enhancing improvement would be to add more memory. Buy as much as your computer can use and that you can afford. 2 GB is not that much any more.

When you see an exclamation point in the Wi-Fi menu, from the menu bar, select
▹ System Preferences... ▹ Network
Click the Assist me button and select Assistant. Follow the prompts. You may get a warning that Wi-Fi is not available, that you're too far from the base station, or that you're using the wrong password.

My airport utility no longer works, but I have just changed my router. Is there something I need to do ? The orange light shows up on my airport, rather than the green one it should have. Please help !!!

If you just replaced the router with an Airport Extreme or Express:
disconnect the modem from power, disconnect the new router from power, connect the modem to power and wait till it os fully started up, then connect the new router to power. After a while the amber light will turn to flashing, then after a while it will turn to green. Then with AirportUtility (in Aplications/Utilities) it should be configured with the password. -

(The only downfall to this backing-up process is that I haven't found an easy way to back-up the comments attached to each photo. Any advice on this? Part of the "horror" to losing one's photos is also losing the comments added to them over the years.)
Back to the install... I installed iLife 08 and it installed correctly. I checked to see what version of the applications I have in the dock on my desktop - I figured it would just import existing data (photos, tunes, etc.) into the newer version and replace it in the dock - +it only did this for iDVD+, of course it wasn't that easy for the others.
I can't find the newer version of iPhoto. My iPhoto in the dock still says version 2. iTunes in my dock is version 7 (7.4.2). iMovie is version 3 (3.0.3). But the new Garageband is there in the dock. And of course, iDVD is the newer version '08.
I am most concerned with iPhoto and making sure all the photos AND their comments import correctly into the newer iPhoto 08. I am nervous about this so I want to make sure I do the process correctly.
I also want to make sure my iTunes information imports correctly to the newer version as well.

If you backed up the iPhoto Library Folder then you got everything - photos, albums, comments etc

The Dock is not important. Look in your Applications Folder for iPhoto 08. That's where it should be. The Dock is just a shortcut to that. What version is in your Apps folder?
To upgrade a Library from v2 to iPhoto 08 all you do is open the Library with the newer version.
