From one day to another, my MB starts EXTREMELY SLOW
everything seems to work fine, but from one day to the next one my macbook takes a long time to start, is there anything i can do to fix that? i have 2 gigs of ram so i dont think this should happen at least it didnt like 3 days ago, ive used the onyx program to restart everything i could (meaning cache memory vram and that stuff) any other suggestions?

Using Onyx ™ makes your next startup extremely slow because it erases all of the cached files. Your startup speed will not return to normal until 2~3 startups after using Onyx™. Do you have these issues when you don't use Onyx ™?

(FileService, NetBoot, ping etc ...). In the CrashReporter I've only find a crash from dashboardadvisoryd. I don't want restart the server.

I don't believe it's possible without using the wheel. Any keypress you make assumes you want to create a new entry on the day/time slot you currently have selected.

Yesterday evening I was changing events in my calender of my ipad3, since then the syncing between ipad, iphone and Macs went weird! The changed items of yesterday are only on my ipad but not on the other devices anymore! What did I wrong? I did not change the calenders, just one repeat-event! Please help :-)

There is no way i can answer that, there area a million ways one person can spy on another in this day and age.
However if you were to wipe the phone and set it up as new plus change all your associated Apple passwords to ones your ex can;t guess, then I can say he couldnt 't tracking you through the phone. Wiping and reinitializing it would be the same as getting a new one so I don;t think you need to go through that expense.
However assuming this post is real and you are experiencing the situation you describe you need to contact the authorities. There is no way anyone here can know the true seriousness of the situation and to be giving advice on this issue is wrong. We could be causing you to fell a false sense of safety. Because of that this will be my last post here.
So please do what I recommended to the phone and then seek out the proper help.

If you are having issues transferring your data from your previous iPhone to your new iPhone via an iCloud backup, you may find the information and steps outlined in the following articles helpful:
If you've already set up your device, you can reset it so that you can go through the iOS Setup Assistant again and restore from your backup. Tap Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings. Do this only if you already have a backup.

Moving appointments from one day to another in a later month?
I have a bunch of events on my calendar for May that I want to drag-and-drop to days in June. The problem is that while I am in May, I can not also show any of June. The only solution I found is to cut-and-paste, or to double click the event and change the date there. Is there a way to enable me to see both May and June so I can drag-and-drop?

Since June 1st is Sunday, if you have iCal set to display Monday as the first day of the week, you can do a two-step drag:
- in May view, drag the event to June 1st
- in June view, drag the event from June 1st to the proper date

Mouse stopped working from one day to another

I got following problem:
The mouse cursor isn't moving anymore, although I move the mouse.
Also, Some key-combinations doesn't work anymore (including [ctrl]-[alt]-[backspace] and the sysrq-calls).
Yesterday it worked perfectly, and I didn't change anything!
No changes in the 10-x11-input.fdi, no hal-, dbus- or xorg-server updates.
Sometimes I cannot even switch to the tty's, I have to press [ctrl]-[alt]- [F1] multiple times before it switches.
So, here's my xorg.conf:

BTW: The mouse is not broken, it works on knoppix and gentoo....
So I think this is an hal/xorg error....Do you have your mouse and keyboard plugged into a USB hub in your screen? If you do this, when you turn off the screen (or it goes into powersave), your mouse and keyboard will be disconnected, and reconnected when it turns back on. This should work fine anyway with hotplugging, but you can never be too sure...

"Sensitivity": there is no such setting.
The trackpad settings in the MacbookPro are in SystemPreferences/Trackpad.
But this problem is possibly not a setting gone wrong, but you can see that easy enough in the settings applet.
How old is your Macbook? Can you give here what it says in Systeminformation under Power:
click the little apple on the top left while you hold the Alt(option) key, the first entry is SystemInformation, choose it, then click Power in the left column and post here everything on the right that regards to the battery. -
Hi there, Hope everyone is well. I have troubles with my Ai when working with a logo, I just want to move it from one point to another and it gets pretty slow to be moved. I am working on a brand new iMac and this problem surprises me a little bit. Do you know why is this happening? I get de Ai from the Creative Cloud...could it be the internet?

The logo was before a jpg then our designer transform it into vectors but today we were working she found complicated to move the image, it takes secooonds to make it move either from the keyboard or the mouse. I will ask her to see the symbol option, I think she is working with several logos (in vectors) at the same archive...so let see. Thanks buddy! I will be back with a screenshot

Just get copies of the song files and add them to your iTunes library. With the exception of any DRM-protected files (purchased before mid-2009 and never upgraded) they will play fine, even though they are technically associated with the original account. -
Images I move from one folder into another are disappearing, at first it was occurring immediately and only if I did not copy and paste the images. Today however I found out that images I had been using for days just up and vanished from their new location. A few of these images had copies in another folder that remained and the ones I couldn't find may or may not have ever had copies. I had backed up my system with time machine recently as well, so I went into the backup to retreive the lost images. When I searched and found the backup copies I got the error "the file alias cannot be opened because the original cannot be located". The crazy thing is that the images that remained on my computer did not give me the same error and opened like they should.
In short images that I am creating, saving, and using are disapearing so epically that even time machine versions are affected when retrieval is attempted. Any suggestions as to what I could be doing wrong without realizing it? Or perhaps other people have had similar bugs that are software related and have a solution?Hi Kevin,
I understand what you tried to do but it doesn't work that way. Swapping drive names will just mess things up.
You should be able to reconnect the files though: in the Locate Referenced Files dialog make sure you click the Show Reconnect Options button — this will give you access to all the connected drives. Locate one of the files and hit Reconnect All. Should do the trick.

Adding Data From One Table to Another
Now, this doesn't strike me as a particularly complex problem, but I've either strayed outside the domain of Numbers or I'm just not looking at the problem from the right angle. In any case, I'm sure you guys can offer some insight.
What I'm trying to do is, essentially, move data from one table to another. One table is a calendar, a simple two column 'date/task to be completed' affair, the other is a schedule of jogging workouts, i.e, times, distances. Basically, I'm trying to create a formula that copies data from the second table onto the first but only for odd days of the week, excepting Sundays (and assuming Monday as the start of the week). Now, this isn't the hard part, I can do that. The problem comes when I replicate the formula down the calendar. Even on the days when the 'if' statement identifies it as an 'even day', the cell reference to the appropriate workout on the second table is incremented, so when it comes to the next 'odd day', it has skipped a workout.
I can't seem to see any way of getting it to specifically copy the NEXT line in the second table, and not the corresponding line.
This began as a distraction to try and organise my running so I could see at a glance what I had to do that day and track my progress, but now it's turned into an obsession. SURELY there's a solution?

Copy File From One Drive to Another & Missing Keyword Tags
Hi,
I use LR 2.7. I want to copy one file from one drive to another drive with the same file name. I thought you could drag the file, but it doesn't copy over the file in the other drive, can you explain what I have to do?
Also, I tried to import the folder into another drive, but it doesn't copy the keyword tags. Is there a way to do this?

Well, if you use the Year/Month/Day/pictures_here format, none of the folders contains a massive amount of folders. It's not the number of folders that generates problems, it's having them all in _one_ folder that creates slow-down issues. Imagine if you had a deck of cards; look for one card... you have to go through all 52 cards to find it. But, if you broke it down into the 4 groups, you only have to go through 13, which is lots faster. Now imagine going through 15000 instead of 52...
Look at the way lightroom can automatically import by date; it has several preset formats. If you pick one of those, then when you import new photos, it will automatically create any missing ones, and you have lots less to do.
Depending on how much work you have already done, you might consider making a new catalog and just importing all of your photos again, and let it create everything quickly for you.
You could save all of your "edit" changes by writing out all of the xmp files first. But with 15000 files in one directory, this will double it to 30000 (one per image!), but will preserve all of your edits if you choose to make a new catalog approach.
As for combing catalogs, once you have one catalog the way you want it, you can select "import from catalog" and it will suck it into a new one, thus combining the catalogs. The only problem I can see is that it will import it in the format you already have it, so you have to organize it manually before you import it. Otherwise, you'll get your old format and your new format in the one catalog (but can then move pictures around if you need to).
Personally, I'd go the 'write xmp files, create new catalog' approach. Then just recreate my collections, etc.
But either way you do it, it will take some time processing, as that's a lot of files to start with!

So we're going with the second method, but I've discovered that the "$i/name" node is not always present. When that happens, I would like to use a default value (for example, "george"). I promise I've searched and searched, but I'm completely failing to turn up anything that sounds remotely like what I'm after (seriously, I can't believe my google-fu sucks this badly!).
Is there a simple way of doing it? The only thing that I've found that looks vaguely relevant is "declare default namespace...." but I'm not sure that that's the correct thing to use, or if it is, how I'm supposed to reference it when populating the attribute value.
