From report server database how to know reporting services server

from report server database how to know reporting services server
Thanks

Hi Ajay,
If I understand correctly, you want to know
Reporting Services server name based on report server database. Based on my research, I find that the Reporting Services server name is the computer name which install the report server. So we can try to click Start button, right-clicking Computer,
and then clicking Properties. Under Computer name, domain, and workgroup settings, you can find your computer name.
Besides, the report server database is a SQL Server database that stores the following content:
Items, Subscription and schedule definitions, Report snapshots and report history, System properties and system-level security settings, Report execution log data, Symmetric keys and encrypted connection and credentials for report data sources.
For more information about report
server database, please refer to the following link:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms156016.aspx
If there are any misunderstanding, please elaborate the issue for further investigation.
Thanks,

How do know which services use up my data on my tablet? 2:How can I avoid this?

        @mwbail2,
Great question! Managing your data usage is definitely important. You can view what apps are using data by going to Settings and then Mobile data on your phone. There is will show you the apps using data.
If you want to avoid the data usage on the apps you want to make sure you close out the apps when not in use. You can also make sure that they are not automatically updating whenever there is a new update to the app. To do this simply go to the Play Store and select Menu. Then go to Settings and there you will see the option to change the auto update to update over wifi only.
If you want to complete turn off data, just go to Settings and then mobile network and turn it off. Keep me posted if you need further assistance.

  • I plan to upgrade the SSRS 2005 SP2 enterprise edition in our internal web server to 2005 SP4, the Reporting server database is hosted in another sql server in sql server 2005 SP4. Do I need to do anything on the reporting server database side?

My question is what the steps do I need to take to upgrade SSRS from 2005 SP2 to SP4.  The web server that host the SSRS is in 2005 SP2, and the OS is in window 2003.
Our SSRS report server and report server database are in different servers.  The SSRS in the web server is in 2005 SP2 enterprise edition, the report server database is in sql server 2005 SP4 enterprise edition.
To upgrade the SSRS in web server from 2005 sp2 to sp4, do I need to backup/restore the encryption key?  Nothing will be changed in the report server database.  We will still pointing to the same database in the current server, all
I wanted to do is performing a inplace upgrade of SSRS from 2005 SP2 to SP4.
Any response will be greate appreciated.  Thank you!
    Li-hui Chen

    Hi Lihui Chen,
According to your description, you want to install the Services Pack 4 for SQL Server. Right?
In SQL Server, Services Packs are used for fixing issues of current version product. It's not an Upgrade, you don't have to backup/restore your encryption key. You just need to download the Service Pack 4 on:
Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Service Pack 4 RTM  . Please make sure you have administrative rights on the computer to install SQL Server 2005 SP4. For more information, see links below:

  • SQL server Database - Command based Crystal reports parameters issue

    Hi,
We are migrating Oracle to SQL server database and trying to point our crystal reports  to new database.
In command based reports, the parameters are defined in the where clause like this
       (' All' in {?Country} or loc.country in {?Country} )
On modifying the report script to ANSI standard, loc.country in {?Country} gets recognized by Crystal but   'All' in {?Country} does not work.
I am pretty sure that it should be defined in a different way,but not able to figure out.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Nithya

    Hi Nithya,
What is the error message you receive?

  • How application know the Principal server down and connect to mirror server ?

I have setup the database mirroring for disaster recovery solution where we don't need the witness server for fail over.
But under high-availability mode, If the principal server fails, the mirror server automatically becomes the new principal server and recovers the principal database using a witness server. Now my question is how application server or client application knows
to connect the mirror server which is now the new principle server.
Do we need to handle any condition in connection string which is using in client application or any other way ?

  • How to Change Analysis Services Server for Power View

I can't seem to figure out how to change what SSAS server/instance that is used to build the cubes for Power View items uploaded to SharePoint. I tried changed the trusted servers listed in the Excel Services service application but if I remove the original
SSAS server (which of course is a test server, not to be used for production) and have only the prod SSAS instance listed the reports fail to load with the generic 400 error. Is there another setting that I'm missing?

  • Connecting to sql server database mdf file without installing sql server on client machine?

I am creating a window application that need to use sql server database. I want to install this application to client machine without installing sql server so that my application can still connect to a database i.e mdf file that i will be providing at client
    system.
How can i connect to a database(mdf) on client machine through my window application without installing sql server. ? I dont know is it possible or not.
If possible what will be the connection string in that case. Database need not be used in network.

you cant connect and view the internals of mdf file unless it being attached to a sql server instance as a database.
The sql server instance can be installed in any box which is in the same domain and then you can connect from your application to it.

  • How to know whether tomcat server is up or not..?

I have developed a java webstart application. In that,I need to include a component in a frame that shows whether the appplication is connected to the server(tomcat) or not.If it is connected to server, then a green light is up,if not red light is up.It should show the connection status althrough the application.I browsed through the apache documentation of Catalina class, http://tomcat.apache.org/tomcat-4.1-oc/catalina/docs/api/org/apache/catalina/startup/Catalina.html ,thinking that it could help me out.But I couldn't find it useful. So,I need a way to know whether the application is connected to server or not.Is there anyway to do it?Thanks in advance..!

Yes I need both first and second case, there exists some server listening on a particular port and he can send some request and get some response from it.Well, the second implies the first, so unless you're interested in "The port is active, but the server isn't running properly," testing the second is sufficient--the first won't provide any additional information.
Here my server is apache tomcat and it is running on port 8085.Actually,what happens in the application is when user inputs data via text field,a connection is opened to the appropriate servlet and object is passed to the servlet through that established connection.then servlet returns another object reporting the result, what happened on the server side.I want user to feel sure that he can send data to the servlet running on tomcat successfully.Am I clear enough now..?
    Not really.
And if you're saying, "I want to see if the server is running before the user sends a request," that's pointless. Just send the request. If it succeeds, the server is running. If it fails, the server is not running or is unreachable or had some error. If you test first and it comes back good, the server can still go down between your test and the "real" request.

  • Facing problem in "Add to Report" in Database expert in Crystal Reports

    Hi,
I am using Crystal Reports XI R2 Service Pack 3 with Visual Studio 12.0 and Oracle Server as the Data source.
I am trying to add an SP to the crystal report. When i select the SP and click the Add (>) button, it is not getting moved to the selected Tables list. This problem is seen only for a particular SP. If i select any other SP for the same report, it gets added. The SP is getting executed successfully in DB.
Please let me know the probable cause for this issue.
    Regards,
    Swaminathan K

For an Oracle stored procedure to work with Crystal it needs an "in out" parameter that is a RefCursor.  I believe that Crystal doesn't show stored procs that don't have that type of parameter.  You should also check security on the stored proc and make sure that the user id that your report uses has access to view and run the stored proc.

    Hello:
My current configuration of my project is we have
    one Adminitration Server
    four Managed Servers
All the servers are running on LocalHost
Now suppose I deploy my ejb in say ManagedServer 1
Now inside my ejb code I want to know on which managed server it is deployed.
Is there any way to know this.
My concoren is if the same ejb is deployed in Managed server 2
then query inside ejb to know managed server name should return managed server
    2.
    Thanks,

I didnt understand what did u mean by all the servers are running on
Localhost u mean on the same physical machine?
May be u can get the name of the Managed Server using MBeans i mean JMX
....But I dont know exact way or using the API's to get the Managed Server..
    Check the Weblogic JMx documentation...
But before this my most clear question will be what r u trying to achieve by
getting the name of the MAnaged Server....I meant for what purpose u want to
get the name of the server it has deployed?
