From SAP Menu Hit List

Hi all,
This is my first post, so bear with me. I'm creating roles in ECC 6.0. I've been given a list of tcodes that need to be added to these roles. The way I've been told to do this is to click on 'From SAP Menu' and then find every single instance of where this tcode is located in the menu. I then click on them one by one, hit find next, and keep going until they're all there. Then it takes me back to the main Menu screen. I then hit 'Collapse Menu' to clean up the Role menu.
My question is, what is the quicker way of doing this? When I click on 'From SAP Menu' and then type in a tcode to search for, there's a button that says 'Hit List." That brings up a separate box that gives you a list of how many times that transaction is found in the SAP Menu. Is there a way to import that list into the search screen so that all instances of that tcode are marked to be inserted into the Menu list?

Hi Kerri,
If you are given with the list of tcodes to be added, then go to Menu.
Click on the "Transaction", Enter the transactions given to you and once you are done with this, click on "Assign Transactions".

Runnning report from Sap menu screen

hi
my client is running loan management module. in some transaction when he presses a button on the sap menu ( something called cash flow) , SAP generates a table with all calculated values and stuff ( like a report ) . they want a different output format . how can i write a custom report that takes all the values from the transaction and gets executed when he presses the same button on the menu but with the format they want.
( they do not want to make this a standalone report)

What sort of "report" does this transaction produce? Is it a list display(WRITE statements) or an ALV grid. If it is a list display, it would be possible to write a custom program, which SUBMITs the standard report, export the resulting list to memory, import that list into memory, and pick it apart and reformat to the way you want. This is all possible, but it should be a report program and produce a list display.

Is it possible to open a query from sap menu favorite to excel?

Hi all
I have added a query in favorite . From the favorite in sap menu , i want to open the query in excel.
Is is possible?
Currently the query open in web.

You said the query saved in favorite from query designer will open in browser and the one saved from analyzer will open in bex excel. But it does not work for me. It saves as web icon and both query is opening in browser.

The different story for me is I have problem of opening the web browser by running a query from favorite or user menu because in the url I have different Client. Is there any way to fix this url problem. Any one in this thread can help me on this issue and will be awarded. Thanks.

Execute Query from SAP Menu with Analyzer

Hi.
I have created a menu for users. This menu contains links to queries that are opened with Internet Explorer.
Now, i want to have another link but instead of opening it with Internet Explorer, i want to open them with Analyzer.
Is possible to launch a query trough SAP Menu link in Analyzer? User will not need to open it trough 'Folder + Open Query ..'

Here are couple of directions:
1. Create a local workbook which has embedded query. Store this workbook on a remote server or BI/FTP and create a link from it. But once this link is clicked, that workbook will be downloaded and user will have to login again in BEx analyzer.
2. If we can call transaction "RRMX" from web, it will eliminate problem of relogin.
3. Launching BExAnalyzer.exe file from web should launch analyzer automatically. Check whether this file accepts any parameters like open dialogue or query name??

Hi,
Can the ESS transactions PZ11 etc be accessed directly from the SAP menu?
If we don't have the portal or WAS, how can we enable employees (ess license holders) to log into the R/3 (4.7) and access the self service transactions?

Running Report Directly from SAP Menu

Hi ,
I have to know that , I have created a report and given it a transaction code . There is also a standard report which output almost the same result .
Now I want that standard report not to be shoen in the SAP menu on the left hand side and instead of it I want My reports transaction code to be visible so that the enduser is at an ease not to remember the Transaction code to run that report .
So how can I go for it ?

How to remove the Tcode SU01 from sap menu for a role

I want to create a role to assign to the users who are prohibited to change their own user data.So I want to give it all authorizations but su01,how to achieve it?

You do not need to give them authorizations for <dummy>, unless the user group realy is "<dummy>" without ". Very unlikely and hardly appropriate...
Here, <dummy> is coming from the abap language element
DUMMY
From the ABAP keyword documentation: "The authorization check is successful if one or several authorizations are created for the authorization object in the user master record and if - for at least one of the authorizations - each of the value sets defined there for the authorization fields specified using FIELD includes the value val1 ... val10 to be checked. Authorization fields that are not included in the statement or that have DUMMY specified for them are not checked. If the check is successful, sy-subrc is set to 0. Otherwise, it is set to a value not equal to 0."
Be carefull of ST01. It is a great tool, but does have it's technical limitations.

Open Dashboards from SAP

Hi together,
I've a new SAP BO Dashboards 4.1 installation on my laptop.
Now I can't open dashboards from SAP:
MENU -> SAP -> OPEN
At this point I get the message: "Open from SAP not possible" (Sorry, this is my translation...)
I don't get the SAPlogon-Pad, but the Logon-Pad is installed and placed in the right folder..., I can open any other SAP-system connection without problems....
Any ideas ?

Do you have any dashboards published to SAP portal.
Try to create a sample dashboard on SAP Netweaver connection and publish it to SAP Portal.
Later try to open.
If nothing works under SAP menu, reinstall the SAP GUI.

Configure Firefox color when choosing menu item list

At the moment, if I click on the Menu and scroll down and highlight a list from the Menu Item list, the highlighted portion has a white color and I can barely see it, is there anyway to change this.
I got the same effect when I click on a link and then right-click on the mouse and choose item from the list,i.e. Open Link in New Tab etc.

Although i have setup up all the parental controls to prevent adult/explicit content in the movies (Apple TV), still the posters of adult movies often show up in the Top hit List, is there a way to prevent the poster from showing up in the list too ?

Use VMware Fusion? But seriously, Fusion does what you want. It just puts a mini VM control menu at the top when running full screen (and that's configurable, too), so the main menu bar doesn't appear at all. Which means that it's up to Parallels to handle this. Are you running Parallels 7, which is designed for Lion? ALV grid - using f4 search help - want separate value from hit list

I have the following scenario that I am trying to resolve.
I have created my own search help with a search help exit for a bespoke maintenance table which lists categories against HR positions which are to receive workflow for these categories. I am designing a front-end for this table using an ALV grid whereby the person holding that position (i.e. name) is shown instead of position number. The search help allows you to select by First name and last name and brings up a hit list which includes employee number, first name last name, formatted name field, position number, position description and org unit it belongs in.
The issue occurs where the list brings back more than one hit.
e.g.:
1 Fred     Bloggs Fred Bloggs 50000001 pos1 org 1
2 Frederic Bloggs Fred Bloggs 50000002 pos2 org 3
If you select an entry, the formatted name field goes in the ALV grid field. I call the search help via F4IF_FIELDVALUE_REQUEST using the onf4 event .
What I want to do is retrieve the position number of the entry selected and put this into another table without having to add this to my ALV grid and make available for input. I want to use name only for the input in my ALV grid (i.e. if I select the second example, the return table in F4IF_FIELDVALUE_REQUEST shows the name Fred Bloggs but does not show the position number which I need to add to another table to update my maintenance table).
Can anyone suggest any way around this?

You are right, you can add this fields as an import parameter to the list.
In Custom search help you must have marked fields as Export or Import parameters.
If field is marked as Export parameters, it will be displayed in the selection pop up.
If Import paramter check box is selected then this will be imported to the screen.
Check this SAP documentation for both these options -
Flag for IMPORT parameter of the search help
     Flag if the parameter is an import parameter.
Context information from the processed input template (screen) can be
     copied to the help process with an import parameter. Where an import
     parameter gets its values from is defined when the search help is
     attached to the corresponding field of the input template.
Flag for EXPORT parameter of the search help
Flag if the parameter is an export parameter.
Values can be returned from the hit list to the input template (screen)
     with an export parameter. The fields of the input template in which the
     contents of the export parameter are returned are defined by the search
     help attachment.

How to get the list of materials from Sap r/3

Hi Experts,
I have one doubt, here iam implementing
HTTP TO RFC scenario.
My doubts are------
1. Should we create DT MT MI and all (OR) not
2.In Request DT how the message structure wil be to get the list of materials from sap r/3 system as Response(Ex: Fields in the source structure).
3.Or the second thing is how to get the list of materials start with some alphabate.
Please reply me for each and every questions mentioned above. Please clarify me.

    You create your own structres for Request and respoce.. and Map it with RFC..

Issue in Exporting the Sales Price List and Purchase Price List for the Materials from SAP Business ByDesign (SAP Cloud)

Hello Everyone,
I would like to have a discussion on the issues, which I am facing at the time of Exporting the Sales Price List and Purchase Price List for the Materials from
SAP Business ByDesign (SAP Cloud).
(1). Sales Price List :
We have maintained Customer Group Specific Sales Price List for the Materials in the following Location.
Location :         Product and Service Portfolio Work Center > Pricing > Price Lists > Customer Group Specific Price List (Type of Price List)
Target :             We want to export the entire records in some reports or excel sheet.
Records :          Number of Materials in the Customer Group Specific Price List is more than 2,00,000
Issues :
                                     (A). In the SAP Business ByDesign Screen we can filter by number of records but we can export till 50,000 records.
                                             And if we are trying to export records more than that limit, then it throws "HTTP 500 Internal Server Error".
                                     (B). We could not find any SAP standard reports in Product and Service Portfolio and/or Business Analytics Work Center
                                            for getting the entire record set of the Sales Price List, so that we can have the entire set of records together.
Searching For :
                                      (A). Is there any SAP reports or data source available for getting the entire Sales Price List records?
                                      (B). Can we have any other filter conditions for exporting the Sales Price List records in a single shot or module wise?
(2). Purchase Price List :
We have maintained the Purchase Price List for the Materials in the following Location.
Location :           Product Portfolio Work Center > List Prices > Active List Prices (Type of Price List)
Target :               We want to export the entire records in some reports or excel sheet.
Records :            Number of Materials in the Purchase Price List is more than 4,00,000.
Issues :
                                       (A). In the SAP Business ByDesign Screen we can not see more than 10,000 records and the actual number of
                                               records are more than 4,00,000. We could able to download the records till 10,000 but that is not sufficient.
                                               We want to export the entire records in an excel sheet.
                                       (B). We could not find any SAP standard reports in Product Portfolio and/or Business Analytics Work Center for
                                              getting the entire record set of the Purchase Price List, so that we can have the entire set of records together.
Searching For :
                                       (A). Is there any SAP reports or data source available for getting the entire Purchase Price List records?
                                       (B). Can we have any other filter conditions for exporting the Purchase Price List records in a single shot or module wise?

How do I pass a username form variable from a drop down list/menu to another page?

Hi,
I have a login_success.php page that has a drop down list/menu (which lists usernames). I want the user to click on their user name, and when they click the submit button the username information to be passed over to the username.php page which will contain a recordset, sorted by username.
How do I pass the username info from the drop down list/menu to the username.php page?
The drop down menu is connected to a recordset listUsername, I have filtered the recordset with the Form Variable = username, and I have used the POST method to send the username to the page username.php. I'm not sure how to structure the php or which page to place it on.

I would not post the variable over, In this case I personally would send it through the URL and use the $_GET method to retreve it. For Example.
