Go into: Settings>General>Accessibility and make sure zoom is turned off. You can double tap with THREE fingers to turn zoom off as well, rather than performing a reset.

The round button that allows me to get out of an app or to move or delete an app has stopped working. Once I am in an app, the only way to get out of it is to power off my ipod completely. Help!

The issue usually occurs when computer goes into the screensaver mode. When this happens, none of the keys are opperable and the round wheel/ball just continues to spin. The only resolve is to manually shut down the computer witht the button on back of the monitor/hard drive. Not sure if this is bad for the computer to shut down this way or not.

It started about two weeks ago and like the others, every time I go into my Yahoo mail, I get the spinning-wheel and the only way out is to "X" out of the site. Sometimes I can make it through a few notes, other times the problem starts as soon as I click on the first note. I searched google a few days ago and saw a response to this problem that said I should "uncheck" the 3 items in the "Auto-fill" preferences in Safari (Safari-Preferences-Autofill) and that should help. It did not. I also went in and deleted cookies, cache and history, but that didn't work either, or if it did, it only took a few clicks to experience the problem again. One of the times I went in to delete cookies I noticed over 100 cookies and other website data stored and I had only been on perhaps 2 or 3 sites (CNN, google and yahoo and perhaps Apple), and I never click on the adds. Don't know if there's any significance to this but I thought that was an awful lot of "cookies" for just a few clicks after previously deleting cookies. Also, I believe I have the latest version of Yahoo mail. I actually have 2 Yahoo accounts and the spinning wheel is a problem with both of them, same for my wife. Any help would be very much appreciated.
I have a MacBook Pro purchased last December with Snow Leopard 10.6.8, Safari version 5.1, an Intel core i5 processor, 4 GB of memory and a 320 GB HD with very little loaded on it. -
On some sites I get a pop up window asking if I am sure I want to leave the site. The only option is to click on the pop up, nothing else works you cannot use back or even shutdown FF. I have to shut down with task manager, but when I restart FF it goes back to the locked up page.
If you want to change how Firefox starts up after a crash, you have the option to have Firefox show a list of windows and tabs. Then you can deselect the tab you do not want opened again. Here's how to change the setting:
(A) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
(B) In the search box above the list, type or paste '''sess''' and pause while the list is filtered
(C) Double-click the '''browser.sessionstore.max_resumed_crashes''' preference and enter 0 (that's a zero) and click OK.
Note: Please don't customize any other sessionstore preferences to zero, or you might lose the ability to recover your closed windows and tabs. -
My new macbook pro has gone black on me three days in a row. is this a chronic problem?
The only way to get it back is a hard reset or let the battery die and then plug in the charger. The brightness is up and the power stays on while screen is black.
This is the second macbook pro i have owned in the past two weeks. I am ready to return it for good if this is a chronic issue. Please help if you have had this same issue.Try a SMC reset:

After updating to Firefox 5.0.1 and trying to open Firefox, it opens two tabs. One is the restore session tab and the other is the Firefox home tab. Nothing opens in the session restore tab and once the Firefox home tab loads the browser screen freezes with no crash ID's listed. The only way to get out is thru the task manager and ending the process. Firefox worked fine before updating.

Try typing ''about:home'' into the address bar. Is that the page you are looking for? If so, go to ''Tools > Options > General'' and save it as your homepage. If that home page doesn't show up the next time you start Firefox, you should look at [[Preferences are not saved]].

My brand new iPhone 4S/32Gb goes off in any time of the day and the only way to get it back to live is through pressing and holding of the Home and Sleep button together for 5-10 seconds.

When I take my phone off charge in the morning I get an info box on the front which has the sound trumpet icon with a line through it and the word Mute. The only way to get rid of it is to reboot the phone any ideas as to how I can stop this happening?
Hello cor-el, thanks for your reply. I changed my settings for downloads to desktop and it has appeared on there. When I double click I am asked which program I want to open file. I click firefox and another box "opening install" says I have chosen to open the file which is an application and do I want to save it. This is the only real option so I press save file. I get a box saying this is an executable file which may contain viruses - do you want to run. I press ok and the final box showing C drive file name and desktop appears stating application not found.
This happens the same whenever I try to install.
To my untrained eye the application is not being recognised as an application and I cannot work out how to get it to do that.
My plugin is still showing as out of date.
Is there anything you could suggest. Thanks for your time. -
Verizon is using the Elipsis tablets to steal data from their customers. The only way to stop data from registering as cellular data is to pull the SIM card. This occurs with wifi enabled and cellular,dara disabled. If,you take your tablet to a Verizonstore they will upgrade your data plan to cover the overage and credit the upgrade. You will then have to remember to downgrade your plan or continue to pay for more data. Verizon, how would you feel if I walked into one of your stores and started filling my pockets with merchandise? If cought can I just give the product back and say "oops, sorry"
Today, my FCC complaint hit the same person working on the BBB complaint. Jimmie has been very nice and seems willing to work with this problem. We have been able to come to an agreement. I paid the purchase price for the phone and he returned my upgrade and unlimited data plan. This is what would have occurred if Verizon had given me correct information to begin with. I am happy with this result. He also brought quite a few instances concerning the handling of my transfer and upgrade that did not follow proper procedure. I am also confident that I would not have resolved this without complaining to BBB and or FCC. Verizon had no interest in solving the problem nor did they show any propensity to keeping a 20 year client. Even though this last CSR was very polite and helpful, his sole job is to respond to formal Federal and State complaints. He is required by law to address every complaint and report the reporting agency the agreed upon results - good or bad. Again, I suggest - If you are not getting the proper customer service, complain to someone outside of Verizon. Jimmie had not received any complaints registered with Verizon directly and I still have not had any contact with any other management representative that I was told would call.

You can create an install disc but you would have to download Mountain Lion to do so..

I can get video on airplay anytime but i cannot get audio all the time. in sound output i select airplay but it only reverts back to internal speakers. same if i try earbuds. the only way to fix it is to restart computer. what do i do to fix it,
In case anyone has had the same problem as me, I have just managed to fix this by doing the following:
Switch off Mac
Switch back on in Safe Mode (Hit power button, then hold Shift key until a loading bar appears at the bottom of the screen).
Switch off Mac again
Remove power cord and wait 15 seconds
Plug power cord back in and hold down the keys alt, cmd, p, r all at the same time until you hear Starting chime for a second time and hopefully your audio will back. -

Go to the Finder's Go Menu > Go to Folder and type in ~/Library/Preferences
This will open the Preferences in the Home Folder's Library.
In Lion this Library is Hidden and you cannot Click you way there.
Delete the com.apple.ichat.plist and it's associated .lockfile (Drag to Trash>
Restart iChat.
I am presuming Lion from what you say despite your specs saying Snow Leopard.

Have you tried a soft-reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
