Front End Replication Problem

Have Lync 2010 enterprise with a front end pool containing 2 physical servers. When logging onto the front end pool control panel I noticed that
any changes made were not being stored.
When running the command
Get-CsManagementStoreReplicationStatus -CentralManagementStoreStatus I can see that front end Server A is the active master & is heartbeating fine.  On the list of active replicas the name of front end server B is not in there, whereas
our exchange & archiving & monitoring servers are.
Unless I invoke replication manually nothing is replicated across the front end servers.
When running the command
Get-CsManagementStoreReplicationStatus everything shows as true including server B, yet only at the time & date that I invoked replication.
Any ideas what could be causing this issue all of a sudden?

Check REPLICA service is started on Server B.
Check the folder is empty under the path C:\RtcReplicaRoot\xds-replica on Server B.
Check if you can find any error on Server A that hosts the CMS.

    I'm quite new on this forum, so don't be so angry if I'm asking about something that someone else was asking for, by i didn't found answer on my question.
    So...
    In my company, administrator made some updates in 4.7, after that updates new front end editor is avalible (this with code colorin, code hinting, code folding etc).
    But I have some problem with keyboard mapping scheme. When i try to save my own setting or change keymapping to another one, SAP stop responding (it's not a crash with short dump but simple aplication freezing). I tried to find some solution to this behaviour but I didn't found it yet.
    My question is:
    1) Did someone else have the same behaviour as I?
    2) Where to find SAP notes about front end editor?

    Keymapping settings in file:
    C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\ab4_data\keymap.xml
    You should also check the following dir:
    c:\Program Files\SAP\FrontEnd\SapGui\ab4_data\
    During patch installation this dir is overwritten, and during the first use of the new editor, the files from here copied to the <username>\ab4_data dir, where you can change them.
    Might be permission problem, I can imagine, that if you have no authorization to change these files, the GUI starts hanging or chrashing.

  • SAPGUI 7.10 New ABAP Front End Editor Problem with CTRL + 5

    Hi Guys,
    I am using SAPGUI 7.10 patch 19 with new front-end editor and I am not able to use CTRL + 5 (on Numeric pad) to select whole program.  As soon as I change the editor to use old front end editor I am able to use CTRL + 5.
    Please help me to incorporate CTRL + 5 in New frond end editor.

  • BEx front end version problem

    Hai everybody,
                  I am trying to edit an existing query. When I open the query designer( from excel sheet)  I am getting the following error message is appearing.
    The component was edited with a more recent version of the editor. You also have to use the more recent version further. Further processing not possible. Update your fron end"
    There is only "ok" and when I clik on ok, the designer closes.
    What does this mean? Is it taking about BW version or what is it? I have it edit the query but its not letting me to. Any help is highly appreciated.

    somebody has developed the Query you are trying to modify with a newer Front End Version. So you need to have the same or higher Release / Patch Level.
    To download Patched go through:
    http://service.sap.com/swdc -> Download -> Support Packages and Patches -> Entry by Application Group -> SAP Frontend Components -> SAP GUI FOR WINDOWS -> ...

  • ECC6 ABAP Front-end editor Problem

    hi all,
    We are using ECC 6. when we switch to old editor form setting options it works fine but when we switch to New editor it hangs itis not opening.
    Latest Patch is also installed.
    Pls suggest what is the problem........how to rectify it...

    Try logging in your pc as Administrator.
    Then log in to SAP and try the Fron-End editor New option.
    Hope it works for you. I had the same problem and logging in my pc as Administrator solved the problem.

  • BI 7.0 front end installation problem

    Hi Gurus
    When I click on the Business Explorer -> Analyzer 7.10
    It opens up MS Excel but when I click on the connect tool icon the sapgui connect does not showup
    We are on SAPGUI 7.10 patch 03.
    Also from the query desiger ,when i go to View>>>standard toolbar>>>
    I can only see 2 tool bar
    1.Standard
    2.View
    I can not see "Quit" so I am not able to execute the query .
    Would you pl advise which SP or OSS we have to apply?

    check the MS Excel version..it supports from Excel 2003. plus u have to put one more patch for BI report available in service.sap.com

  • CMS Replication between Edge and Front End

    Hello Support
    We have a global Lync Deployment with CMS Store located in UK
    We have installed new AU Lync-FE and Edge server but the CMS replication between Front End Server and Lync Edge is not working
    I have test 4443 and certainly open. Lync Edge server or the FE server does not logs anything in event viewer.
    I have used OCSlogger but I could not find any issue
    I have checked certificates and they are all valid.
    Can I please get some guidance.

    HI NImesh,
    First if you are looking at Lync control panel you might see the Cross because Edge server is non domain machine.
    you can check the command Get-CsManagementStoreReplicationStatus
    Also there are Cert problem which could lead this issue
    The root CA certificate should be located in Trusted Root Certification Authorities ONLY,
    and must be removed from any other container.
    The intermediate CA certificate should be located in Intermediate Certification AuthoritiesAND Trusted
    People ONLY, and must be removed from any other container
    Also create the below registry values.
    created2 registry values in:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SecurityProviders\SCHANNEL as follows (to prevent schnnell.dll from
    interfering with validating the certificates by Edge server):
    Value
    1:
    Name: SendTrustedIssuerList
    Type: DWord
    Value: 0
    Value
    2:
    Name: ClientAuthTrustMode
    Type: DWord
    Value: 2
    then try to reboot the server and run this command Invoke-CsManagementStoreReplication

  • Problem with index of numbers in BSP Front end

    Hello All,
    I am facing the below problem. Request your help.
    Scenario: When I am trying to add the projects in the Front end , I am facing the problem with the index of numbering of the projects.
    Example: If I am adding 6 projects ( at the max only 4 on each page i-e there are 2 pages ), then the index is wrongly numbered and the arrow (for direction of the pages) are wrongly displayed. The direction of the arrow is pointed to the next page rather pointing to the previous page and the index of numbering of the pages is wrong.
    Request you to please suggest if this is any code fault in the table maintainance activity in the backend (BSP).

    If you mean the number range is skipping 10 numbers in between runs then its because of the buffering in the number range.
    To avoid the buffer influencing the number range, pass
    'X' to the function module parameter: IGNORE_BUFFER.
    This should resolve the problem.

    i have a simple question .as all of us when make a small application that is accessible over the web has two parts(always).one is for all users of this site and other only for administators.
    front end accessible over the web is jsp page(in my application).my question is ,is it more appropriate to design the front end for adminstrators using java components.like by using javax.swing package or it must be the jsp page in which beans are used or applet. i have a confusion in the usablity of these as i want to design interface for admin usind swing components.
    which approach is better and why ?plz expalin ur answer also. waiting for reply inorder to design my application. thanX.

    I would choose jsp/servlets with login protection for admins only. I would choose that, because I like to program, but like to do things fast. With applets or stand alone java applications, I would have to code the client server communication and still have to code some login protection. Also you are less likely to run into firewall problems when you just use port 80 and http like the users do.

    now I am using BI 7.0 with front end BW3.5, it looks good. when i open the BEx, it didnot work...I think there is a component missing... If i use BI 7.0 as front end, I know that will be work.... I want to call BEx from citrix environment.... how can i find what component is missing, and how can we solve this problem...
    I want to get solution with BW 3.5 front end... please guide and help me....

    In the environment definition,
    -> External Application JDBC
    -> Properties
    -> Outbound JDBC Connection
    You have the database URL in the "DriverProperties" field
    Valid URL would be : jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/caps
    !! The doc says that this field is optional !! Seems to be an error in the doc:

  • BI 7.0: Report Designer / WAD Front-End Problems

    Hi, We are on SAP Netweaver, BI 7.0 SP05, Stack01.
    I have installed New SAP Front-End GUI Components,I dont have any problems executing queries in Web or BEx using Business Explorer 3.X.
    I'm getting following errors when i try to execute with new version of Business Explorer.
    1) Report Designer: Query XML is empty (BICS), please check query and portal setup.
    this query works fine in BEx with New version as well.
    2)Web Application Designer: "E002: Error while executing service RRXWS_WEBPUB_CALL_SERVICE:V for object 1()".
    I couldnt execute simple web template in browser, when i click execute in browser, it open my local windows SAP directory.
    Is there any setting or configuration files i should change?
    i searched in OSS notes for these kind of errors, but i couldnt not find any
    please let me know as its urgent.

    we're running NW2004s, BI 7.0 SP06.
    I'm now testing the new Frontend-Tools and started with the Query Designer. Installed Patch 2, Revision 227. I created an new query and saved it. So far so good. After executing i get this error message:
    iView not found: pcd:portal_content/com.sap.pct/platform_add_ons/com.sap.ip.bi/iViews/com.sap.ip.bi.bex.
    Exception id: 11:02_16/02/06_0017_46228450
    See the details for the exception ID in the log file
    Do I need the integrate an platform_add_on? Does someone get the same errors?

  • Lync front end connectivity test fails (SSL certificate / URL problem)

    We have a weird problem in our installation where Lync keeps complaining about connectivity issues to external reach proxy on our front end server.
    The event log error codes are 41024 and 41026.
    Here's the error from the snooper utility:

    The problem is that it makes the test with the INTERNAL FQDN (dunords36.du.local) and thus the SSL trust fails as the certificate is for our EXTERNAL FQDN on the front end server! I have verified this by testing the above URL with the external address and
    the internal one. With the external one the certificate is OK.
    If you're wondering; we do not use a reverse proxy. Instead we just have the firewall change the port and forward the traffic to our front end server. Our lync setup is a NAT'ed setup.
    I know about the security risks so this is not what the discussion is about.
    I can't find anywhere where i can change the above behaviour and tell lync to make the test on the correct, external FQDN. The settings in the topology builder all seems to be OK. And as you can see it does make the test on port 4443 which in our topology
    builder is configured for our external FQDN.

    Would you please elaborate your Lync Server environment (Standard Edition or Enterprise Edition)?
    Please double check if you enter the correct external base URL on Lync Topology.
    Please also check if the SAN of FE Server certificate correctly.

  • 720 GUI causing a problem in Front End editor?

    Hi all,
    We recently upgraded our GUI to 720 patch level 3.  Now I am finding that when I am in the ABAP New Front End editor I am having a problem with the Code Hint feature.  I used to be able to hit ENTERr when a STATEMENT was proposed to accept it but  that doesn't work anymore.  Has anyone else encountered this issue?  I have read the documentation on the Code Hint feature and reviewed all my settings.  I did learn from the documentation that you can also hit TAB to accept the proposed syntax.  I tried that and hitting TAB works.  Did they remove the hitting ENTER?  Just checking before I log this was SAP.
    Any info is appreciated.

    Yes, this feature is not available in the new GUI. We need to hit the TAB Button to achieve this.

    i am facing problem in data carrier creation for front end computer. actually i am creating data carrier type PC and i want set as default for all desktop. After  DEFINE DATA CARRIER TYPE SERVER, FRONT END and Select PC and IDENTIFY FRONT END COMPUTER its shows following error
    No entries found that match selection criteria
    Message no. SV004
    Diagnosis
    No entries were found when importing data from the data base.
    Procedure
    If you have specified selection conditions, start the transaction again with conditions that are less restricted.
    You can make new entries independently of this. To do this, select the function New entries in menu Edit.

    In the SAP standard this entry are maintained only by the system
    itself and they cannot be entered manually in transaction DC20. I can
    only provide you the following information on the possible settings for
    variable HOSTNAME and the DEFAULT frontend entry.
    1. Default entry
       Call transaction 'DC20'. Double-click node 'Define data carrier type
       "server, front end"'. Select the respective data carrier type (e.g.
       'PC') and double-click node 'Identify frontend computers'. Click
       button 'Default entry' in the top right corner of the table control.
       Note that it is only possible to create 1 default entry!
    2. System variable HOSTNAME
       If you run Windows XP, please go to Start -> Settings -> Control
       Panel. Double-click on 'System'. Click on tab 'Advanced' and then on
       button 'Environment variables'. Create system variable 'hostname' and
       assign a value'. Save the new variable.
    As there is already a DEFAULT entry for frontendtype 'PC' it cannot be
    maintained for another frontend type.
