Where can I find in OS X Lion the Frontrow App?

Front Row - app on Ipad?

I would love to see the Front Row app similar to how it works on my appleTV on my ipad. I tried to look for a front row app on the app strore. Null, nothing.
i would like to see all the movie previews on the confort that the ipad offers. Is there a direct way around this, that is not so crazy complicated. Or should i just wait, God knows how long for it to appear on the apple app store. thank you.

But, as I said, it's pretty clear that FrontRow is abandoned. Even the AppleTV interface changed from one that looked a lot like FrontRow to one quite different. I remember the kerfuffle in the ATV forums when that happened.
I'm sure there are other apps in the App Store that will let you looke at movie previews. If you're open to the idea that they may not work just like FrontRow, you may find something that works just as well. Fandango was only one example. The Moviefone app looks pretty good. And it's free so you can always try it, delete it if you don't like it.

before installing Lion my Remote control was working wel on Mac mini and front row also .
after instalation of lion remote control dont work anymore and frontrow is no longer on my mac mini

Front Row is not compatible with Lion. In the early days, there was a way of getting it back, but I don't know if it still works, see the link on my post here:

Restoring front row on mountain lion

When LION was released, I dug into my backup files to find the software pieces that were removed, and was very easily able to restore Front Row functionality to me machines.
All of those elements remaind in the System/Library folders where they resided, however in MOUNTAIN LION certain other elements have changed, for instance, one of the calls made by the program is to: System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/BezelServices.framework/Versions/A/BezelServic es where even though the framework exists the instructions have been removed in the updating of BezelSerices.
This is also true of several other instructions in Frameworks that have been updated.
I, frankly, don't understand why thes individual lines of code could not have been preserved in the various elements that still remain. Front Row functioned nicely and provided a visually pleasing way to access media files, and play them.
ANYONE CAN TRACE THE CALLS THAT CAN NO LONGER FIND INSTRUCTIONS TO EXECUTE by reviewing the system log, and anyone with coding ability could probably add back the instructions and replace them in the appropriate libraries.

In case you haven't found a solution (I've stayed on Snow Leopard 10.6.8 for the exact same reason) you can install XMBC. Frankly it's BETTER than front row, can accesss every external drive, folder, and more importantly PLAY every type of video and audio codec WITHOUT CONVERSION just like in Front Row. iTunes propiatary H264 AAC codec combo for all video is wearing me thin. Having to convert every movie to it, taking HOURS sometimes is just too much. Even better about XMBC is there are about 100+ plugins, some of which search and automatically find metadata from places like IMDB and associate it w/each movie.

I was about to go see what movie trailers were new in Front Row. However, when I pressed the shortcut (command+esc) nothing happened.
Can anyone tell me, does Lion get rid of Front Row? I used it alot and I would be quite upset if that were the case.

Squire mapped my movies and tv shows, both from my NAS and MacBook Pro.
And today, at the office, my MacBook Pro is able to playback movies that are stored at home.
It's amazing!
Can't wait for the developers to have Squire move on to Beta, and eventually Official Release.

Just got mountain lion.Where is "front row"ap.?

Where is "FRONTROW" in mountain lion?
Did they drop that or is it just hiding?
I drought it up from time machine and nothing happens.

i am copy-pasteing from my massege on macrumors forum, hope you dont mind...
ok. so after upgrading to 10.8 i still had few "front row.app" icons scattered around the machine. some of the looked as normal (the red sofa) and one of the looked "broken" (like this: http://d.pr/i/ofnj) the normal icons did absolutely nothing (i opened activity monitor to chaco that) but the "broken" one did started an action (again, on activity monitor) here comes the tricky part: once i saw "front row" in the activity monitor all i had to do is just hit escape once!
i have tried it several times and it worked each and every time!

Uninstalling Front Row on Lion

ok, I've installed front row via the Mac Hatter loader for Lion. But now I can't seem to get rid of it. Do I simply delete the files that were loaded via the loader or do I need the lion versions of those files?

can I simply delete them to get front row off my computer again?
Reasons: I have XBMC which is a little better at doing what I want it to do.

I used clean my mac by macpaw to uninstall it but it didn't do it completely. even though Front Row doesn't show up in the applications folder or in spotlight, it still initiates after selecting Menu on the remote or cmd ESC.
I want to know if deleting these files mentioned above would harm my installation of lion as I didn't back up anything before doing this. you say yes but then you say, just delete it like any other app, but this is a "system app" and doesn't uninstall as easily as draggin the .app into the trash.
