Frozen battery percentage with bootcamp
i have a 13" macbook retina with bootcamp and os x mavericks.
after using bootcamp and restarting into os x the battery percentage remains stuck on whatever value it started with until the mac switches off for low battery, once restarted the indicator works properly again.
(the issue is not too sensitive for me, just wanted to share this bug)

Battery problem after enabling battery percentage with ibackupbot
My battery on my iPod touch 5g drains faster after I added the battery percentage with ibackupbot. Does anyone who did this have the same problem?
Before my battery drain to 93% of constant usage ( wifi on,checking email, browsing safari, etc ) in about 1 hour and 25 minutes; now it goes to 93% in 45 to 50 minutes.
Also when I charge my iPod it gets only to 95% and stops charging, and when I unplugged it, it reads 99%.
Please help if you guys know how to fix this..Restore to the iPod to factory settings/new iPod.

Hello! So I own a 13" rMBP, and I'm running OSX 10.9.4.
How do I log my battery percentage with the date, probably down to the hour, preferably to an Excel file?
I want to track the rate at which my battery discharges, so that in the future I can compare the present rate of discharge with the past and see exactly how much my battery has deteriorated by. I'll take averages over long periods of time to account for, e.g. the fact that watching Netflix drains my battery faster than editing an essay. I also want a solution that uses negligible power in the background.
I've spent hours looking for an app that both calculates the rate of discharge and keeps all data, but I haven't found any. Eventually I decided that hopefully it isn't too difficult to write an AppleScript or something that simply logs the system clock and battery percentage in tandem every hour or so.
Thank you for your time!

Here is the script to create a CSV text file with
Date
Time
Current Battery Percentage as an integer
#!/bin/bash
batterycsv="$HOME/battery.csv"
export GREP_OPTIONS="--color=never"
# if you want the percentage sign too, exclude the second egrep
battpct=$(pmset -g ps | egrep -o "(\d+)%" | egrep -o "\d+")
datetime=$(date "+%Y-%m-%d %H:%M")
printf "%s,%s,%s\n" $datetime $battpct >> $batterycsv
Output on a fully charged MacBook Air to battery.csv will be individual lines of the following format:

When looking on the apple website and iTunes you can see that the picture of the ipod touch 5th gen has a battery percentage indicator but i can't seem to fing the option to turn it on?! Is there actually an option or has apple just added a feature in the photo in which the ipod dosen't contain?
The 5G does not come with a % battery in upper right. The phtos were incorrect. You may be able to add it by:

Is the iPod Touch 4G with iOS 5 suppose to have a Battery Percentage?
I just bought this iPod Touch from Target on Black Friday, and restored it from my old iPod Touch's Backup. I've noticed that my battery doesn't last very long and that up in the top right corner, to the left of the battery symbol, shows a percentage of battery left, but my friend that as the same exact iPod with same exact firmware doesn't have it. Is this because the iPod that I restored this one from was jailbroken? I restored my new iPod with a backup from my 2nd Gen iPod that was jailbroken.
Do you think I should restore as a new iPod?Actually you can enable the battery percentage on iPhones, like you see in this picture.
I don't know why you can't do it with iPod's. I, for example, own a Touch 4G which has the battery percentage for the same reason yours do. It always happen when I restore my iPod and I've never experienced any trouble.
The battery percentage may be on because there is this key "<key>gas-gauge-battery</key>" under the
"N82AP.plist" file that was set to 'true' when you made the backup of the old iPod. In fact, if this key was changed, others could too, and these can be a problem.
If it was my iPod, I would leave it that way, as I try to avoid these custom settings
The fact is that it is not mine. And I don't know what you did to your iPod. So, if you care enough about your ipod, you should consider restoring as a new one
The battery life issue may be a firmware problem. I don't think the restore would be the cause. -
a lock logo with an arrow encircling it has appeared besides the battery percentage symbol in my iphone 4s. What does that mean and how to get rid of it ?
Its the screen orientation lock, and is covered in the User Guide.
Double-tap the home button, swipe to the right on the dock area and tap the left-most icon. -
How come my ipad mini battery percentage drop even though is still charging with the charger?
I just bought my ipad mini two weeks ago. Just curious how come my battery percentage will drop even though I am still charging it. And this happen twice. I never do anything with the ipad when charging as I left it to charge while i went to sleep.
There must be a loose connection somewhere; check all your connection points or try another wall socket.
If it still doesn't work, try another cable and charger. -
Why is my battery percentage going up and down while charging? It's not rapid, for example, it was on 78% for 10 minutes, jumped up to 79% for 30 minutes and then it just jumped back down to 78%

... after it had been on for a couple of minutes it shut down and then the Apple sign would appear
First try a Reset ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least Ten seconds... (But can take Longer)... until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons
If no joy... Try a Restore...
1: Connect the device to Your computer and open iTunes.
2: If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane.

Hello Neygotsole,
Having your device malfunction can certainly be frustrating. After reviewing your post, it sounds as though your device is experiencing multiple issues. I have located an article that can help with software issues. Have you attempted to restore the device to factory settings without restoring from a backup? Test the issue on a new installation, and make sure that it works. Then use the same article to restore from your backup to either verify it still works, or isolate the issue to the backup itself.
How to erase your iOS device and then set it up as a new device or restore it from backups
Thank you for contributing to Apple Support Communities.
