Frozen in Erase Content mode

I've hit erase all content and settings and my Ipod has a screen with the apple logo and a bar underneath. At first the process seemed to have been moving along, but now it seems to be stuck with about 75% of the bar colored in. It has been about 4 hours and no change. What do I do?

hi I have a 2nd gen ipod and im in the same situation. We're you ever able to fix it? My ipod has been stuck at about 1/3rd complete for about 10 hours so far.

You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.
You can restore from a backup if you have one from BEFORE you set the restrictions passcode.

Mail stuck in "Reading table of contents" mode

Background: I recently upgraded from prehistoric OS 9.2.1 to OS X. I used a DVD version bought on eBay from a non-Apple source. I set up Mail 1.3.4 as directed. It all seemed to work well for a while.
Problem: I started noticing trouble when I began importing my old e-mails from the program I used to use, Outlook Express 5 (now operating in Classic). Some of the folders would import, but others would not.
OK, I can live without some of those e-mails, but now, a worse problem has arisen. First, when I open Mail from the dock, the mailbox doesn't appear. I soon realized that File>New Viewer Window remedied that, though I thought it was strange. But once I bring up that new window, the Mail application is permanently stuck in "Reading table of contents" mode, with the little spinning circle of lines at the right going on forever.
I can click around -- it's not completely frozen. It just won't retreive mail. When I try to quit, Command-Q doesn't work. I have to force-quit.
I've been making do with webmail, making sure to delete all excess spam e-mails.
Accounts: In case this helps, it is a POP-type account. Within that are two mailboxes. It has a .pop outgoing server and .stmp incopming server.
What should I do??

Iphone crashed while Erasing contents and Settings

Hello, I tried to erase contents and settings from my iphone3. After the bar of progress was completed the apple with the spinning sun-thing appeared on the screen and has been there since yesterday no change. Can't turn it on or off and can't get the apple out of the screen. Any suggestion what I can do at this point to get my dear phone working again?

First, reset your phone:
Press the sleep/wake button & home button at the same time, keep pressing until you(hopefully) see the Apple logo, then release(ignore the slide to power off).
Then, see if you can force the phone into recovery mode:
Leave the USB cable connected to your computer, but NOT your phone, itunes running, press & hold the home button while connecting the USB cable to your dock connector, continue holding the home button until you see “Connect to iTunes” on the screen. You may now release the home button. iTunes should now display that it has detected your phone in recovery mode, if not quit and reopen iTunes. If you still don’t see the recovery message repeat these steps again. iTunes will give you the option to restore from a backup or set up as new.

Is there a way to erase contents in cells more than one, without deleting the formatted background?

When using Numbers on iPad (Numbers '09, v2.3 on iPad, iOS v6.1.3), I want to erase contents in an area with more than 1 cell, e.g. 10 cells, without erasing/deleting the formatted background colour.
Using a right click on cells using Numbers on a Mac (Mac, OS X v10.8.4) you can differentiate between "delete content of cell" (where the background is maintained) and "delete all" (where both the content AND the background is deleted).
Please, I need help.

Just select the cells you want to delete and hit the delete button.
That works on my machine (Macbook Pro).
The background remains unchanged.

Once again, the Find My iPhone app has no effect on this.
Find My iPhone must be enabled with your iCloud account settings on the iPhone.
Location Services must be enabled.
The iPhone must be connected to the internet via an available wi-fi network or via the carrier's cellular network.
If the iPhone is powered off, none of the Find My iPhone features can work, and the same if the thief or whoever has access to the iPhone has restored the iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone on another computer.

Iphones will sync with one and only one computer at a time. Sycning to anohter computer will indeed erase the current content from your iphone.

On a 4S the erase should take under 10 seconds. As it has taken longer there must have been data corruption on the phone. Reboot it by holding HOME and SLEEP until an Apple logo appears. If it has not be cleared of all data connect it to iTunes and Restore it. Then erase again.

Apps cannot be removed much less added to the device.
Only content from the iTunes store (movies, tv shows, music) can be added/removed on the 1st Gen ATV.
Again, the 2nd and 3rd Gen ATVS have no onboard storage for content and would generate no such message.
Just curious, has your ATV been jailbroken? If it has, no support can be provided via these forums.
