Frozen in the lock mode

I have a ipod nano 2nd gen that went through the wash in the hold mode. After it dried out, I was able to wake it up and have tried restoring to factory setting through itunes, but it remains on hold and I can't use the wheel etc. Any ideas?

reset and hold ok & pev. then you'll have a buch of setings,chose wisely..

My sons ipad2 has just frozen on the lock screen.

Please help! My sons ipad2 has kind of frozen on the lock screen. If I press the slide to unlock a white box appears around it and a voice says unlock but nothing happens. Also if I press the time it will say the time and show the white box but again nothing happens. I have tried to reset it multiple time with no joy.
I have also connected it to iTunes to restore it but it say that I have to turn off the find my ipad app, which of course I can't as I can't get past the lock screen and I have also tried to update it, however as my son has only a limited amount of space it won't let me do that either. Hi Scarecrow1400, thank you for trying to help this evening. I eventually came across an article about ipad recovery mode and on the second attempt was able to restore the ipad to factory settings which obviously bypasses the 'where my ipad' feature. So, for now it's fixed :-) thanks again and I hope you have a great new year.

i have connected it to itunes like i was told to do and it wont do anything because its locked with a passcode and its frozen on the lock screen and will not let me enter myt passcode and after a while it just shuts off, it has been doing this for almost 48 hours. I was told to hold the home button and power button to shut it down and that I could then restart it and it would work... Nothing has helped, What can I try???

Reset the device by pressing and holding the home and power buttons for 15-20 seconds until the white Apple logo appears.
If that does not resolve, restore the device via iTunes on the computer.
If all else fails, take the device to Apple (or whomever provides support in your country) for evaluation and possible replacement.

Lock objects are used to synchronize access to the same data by more than one program.
The lock mode controls whether several users can access data records at the same time. The lock mode can be assigned separately for each table in the lock object. When the lock is set, the corresponding lock entry is stored in the lock table of the system for each table.
There are three types of lock modes
1.Exclusive
2.Shared
3.Exclusive not cummulative
Exclusive lock: The locked data can only be displayed or edited by a single user. A request for another exclusive lock or for a shared lock is rejected.
Shared lock: More than one user can access the locked data at the same time in display mode. A request for another shared lock is accepted, even if it comes from another user. An exclusive lock is rejected.
Exclusive but not cumulative: Exclusive locks can be requested several times from the same transaction and are processed successively. In contrast, exclusive but not cumulative locks can be called only once from the same transaction. All other lock requests are rejected.

A reset may help. Tap and hold the Home button and the On/Off buttons for approximately 15-20 seconds, until the Apple logo reappears. When the logo appears, release both buttons.
No content is affected by this procedure.

I downloaded an app and it is frozen in the "waiting" mode. I have tried going to the App Store, clicking on update and purchased, but it already says it's installing. Any suggestions of how I can get this app to complete the download?

I've seen this happen a couple times. Try these steps:
Make sure that you have a valid network connection, Wi-Fi preferred.
Make sure that you are signed in to your iTunes Store account.
Restart the device.
Tap Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup. Verify that the device is not performing an iCloud restore.
If multiple apps are waiting, tap one app to either pause or force it to try to reload.
If these options do not work then you should call Apple, 800-MY-IPHONE and ask for more assistance

Do you mean crashes?
Try doing a full reset. otherwise it sounds like you might want to walk it into the nearest Apple Store and get an opinion there.

You have Zoom on... double tap with three fingers to turn it off. Go into Settings > General > Accessibility to disable it.
If that doesn't work...
Try a Restart by pressing the sleep/lock button until you see the slider. Slide to power off. Restart by pressing the sleep/lock button until you see the Apple logo.
Try a Reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider if, it comes up. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.

Trying to delete the emails on the lock screen. When I used Touch ID to complete this action, my iphone 6 was frozen after three times attempts. I knew that I'd need to key in the password after five attempts for unlocked the Phone. I have an iPhone 4s with the very latest firmware, today as I was normally using it, it spazzed out and eventually took me to the lock screen. From there it wouldnt let me slide to unlock. I can still use the assistive touch button but not anything else. For the past few months my iPhone 4S has been not acting good since I updated it to iOS 7. At random times it will go to a black screen and not respond for certain amount for time. Well today my iPhone went to that black screen and would not respond. Once I had someone call my phone the black screen went away and started acting normal as usual. Then once I tried to slide and unlock my phone it would not respond, When I tried to connect it to iTunes it connects and backs up but it will not restore. It had be stuck on the lock screen for almost 3 hours. battery life shows 100%. It shows the time as 8:38 because that is the time it stopped responding. The slide to unlock is still glowing but I can not slide to unlock my phone.
I have no clue on what is going or how to fix the problem. Could someone please help.
