Frozen iPhone - apple logo with black screen

My phone is frozen with the apple logo on the black screen. I have tried all the suggestions previously posted about holding the button while plugging in the USB...nothing works. It's FROZEN!! Can anyone help? I'm getting desperate.

If you read the many posts about this, it takes more than just pressing the home button when plugged into iTunes. Did you do a reset - press both home and sleep/wake buttons until the Apple logo appears?
Recovery mode:
1. Start iTunes.
2. Plug USB end of cable into a USB port in the back of your computer, not an external hub or keyboard port. Plug phone port end directly into the phone without using a dock.
3. Press BOTH the home and sleep/wake buttons until the Apple logo reappears, then continue pressing the home button alone until iTunes sees the phone in recovery mode.
4. Follow the prompts to restore.
If the phone doesn't respond to any of this, there is either a hardware problem or you have hacked firmware installed. In either case your only solution is replacement.

I have been searching everywhere for solutions - and theone of holding the home and on-off button for 20seconds gets it to turn off and then come back to the same screen. My iphone 5 died so I plugged it back in to charge and it will not turn on. It will turn to the screen with the apple logo and black screen then turn off again. Any suggestions?

I leave it charging until it gets back to full, usually it turns on after a little bit of time after plugging it in, but all its doing is going to the apple logo screen and going blank again.

I finally decided to turn this annoyance into an opportunity. After a lot of experimenting I found that my iPad was just fine under 7.1 if I simply restored it as new. I have a lot of time on my hands and I had 1424 apps on my iPad! This is why every attempt to restore took so long.
I decided to restore as new, spend a day restoring the apps I really used. Doing so gave me a quick iPad with only bout a quarter of the storage used.
Granted it was a pain in the arse, but I wrote it off as in the old days when you had to do this with windows 95 just to keep a stable system.
I DO have some data in a few files of the now unused backup but a quick google search finds a couple Mac programs out there that will allow you go extract audio recordings, app data files etc. from the backup. I'll do that someday if I even miss the files I've probably forgotten that are there.
Anyway, there was nothing wrong with my hardware. I think there were just some troublesome setup items that 7.1 didn't like. Once set up as new, the ipad was fine.

Have you unplugged from the power for 30 secs and retried?
If it constantly still does that it may have become corrupted and you'd need to restore via iTunes:

IPop frozen on apple logo with a clicking sound

i had my ipod for years and its now stuck on the apple logo.. with a clicking sound to it.. resetting or disk mode doesnt work... it just stays on that logo.. idk what to do..
i want to revive this ipod of mine because i need music =/

Follow the steps, if you can hear it clicking on and off keep trying the menu enter button and the screen goes black, then it will try again, click on the menu and enter button again. eventually when the apple comes up after several attemps with the menu and enter button I tried enter and play and then got disc mode. Not completely fixed but progress....waiting for a responce myself from here.

That are very strange pictures. That looks like a Graphic Card issue but I was having almost the same problem only my Apple Swirling Gear Looks Normal. But the Swirling Gear stops at about 1 or 2 turns & just freezes & sits there indefinitely. First some said Hard Drive but the Tech ran Tests & the HD Passed. The Senior Tech from Apple said it was the Logic Board. So the Logic Board is being replaced tomorrow.
Can you boot up to the Install Disc? I couldn't. At first I could get it to startup by Pressing Power Button & trying 10 times in a row. Same with Install Disc. It kept turning & making a lot of noise, but would not boot to Disc. I finally got the Disc to Boot & did an Erase & Install, but I still had the problem. I would see if you can do an Erase & Install first.You may get Lucky & your problem might just be Software related. Mine was not.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
If your problem persists get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list)
Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
Reconnect the power cable (only for Apple TV 3)
Open iTunes.
Select your Apple TV in the Devices list, and then click Restore.
(You may already have a micro USB cable if you have a camera or other digital device)

If you mean the iTunes logo and a usb cable, you need to connect the phone to a computer with iTunes on it. The device is in recovery mode.

I am currently an owner of an Ipod Touch 4th generation. I see you are having problems with your Ipod Touch, so I will try to find a solution to your problem.
Plug into your computer
Go to ITunes
Click on your Device
Click on Summary tab
Click on Restore

Frozen Silver Apple Logo

Every time I go to watch my Apple TV, whether in Ohio or California, all I get is the Frozen Silver Apple Logo with the beeps every time I hit a Remote Control key. Therefore, I know it is the Apple TV since I see the same exact problem in two different States on two different units. I have both components hooked up via HDMI. It is really annoying because the only way to get it going again is to unplug it and plug it back in for a Re-boot. These components are acting like Microsoft PCs now! Please FIX this annoying problem Apple!!!

I had a similar problem but just once. Have you ever been able to connect to anything?
The ATV doesn't appear to use WEP security but WPA works fine. I changed my wireless Dlink and was able to see the ATV on the router. Then the iTunes software has to be told (under preferences) to search for an ATV. Now all is working fine. Hope this helps.

Try:
- Another cable
- Another USB port
- Reboot the computer
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
