Frozen ipod..HELP PLZ

i had my ipod nano for about 3 dayz now..and itz been frozen almost all day..nothing moves and the backlight has been on the whole time. i tried everything that this website said. i tried to reset it and everything nd itz making me pretty mad. so can someone please help me with other advice then the site gives you because i already tried it, and i even had it sit on the charger most of the time but it is still frozen

if you've tried this Resetting iPod if it appears frozen or doesn't respond and this Restoring iPod to factory settings then the next thing is the 5 R's here http://www.apple.com/support/
If that lot doesn't fix it then your nano should still be under warranty. Send it back and get a new one.

hey i was just doin the update on my ipod and i took it out be4 it was done i guess because i thought i froze and now i cant use it at all. all it says is " the ipod "ipod" can not be restored. and unknown error has occured (1603)" i have tried pressing the restore button by all it does is come to that same thing. can u plz tell me how or what to do

Make sure iTunes is updated either quit iTunes and goto Start> All programs> Apple Software Update or click Help in iTunes> Check for updates.

IPod Help Plz!!

My iPod is stuffed up, and whenever I turn it on, it always has a "Resetting Apple Sign" and then after 2 minutes it says "Use iTunes to Restore"....I plug in the iPod and then, it is able to detect the drive, but unable to read it.
I need help ASAP!!

okay, i updated to the 1.1, and had the same video problems as everyone else so i downgraded back to 1.0 that came with my ipod. had to restore in order to do that so everything was erased from my iPod, but no problem, because everythings still on my iTunes.
BUT, now whenever i plug in my iPod to USB, the 'Do Not Disconnect' Screen flashes on my iPod and doesn't stop until I eject it, using iTunes. iTunes recognizes the iPod and everything, but I cannot update and put all my songs and videos back on my iPod because the do not disconnect screen doesn't stop. Any ideas? Thanks.

The iPod should say Do Not Disconnect when updating...
First, update the software on your computer and iPod...

Updating iPod's Software
That includes software version 1.1.1, which corrects the video problems in 1.1
Now, once the iPod appears in iTunes go to edit-->preferences. Click the iPod tab. Make sure automatically update all songs and playlists is selected. Click OK. iTunes should now add all your music in iTunes to your iPod.

You can't. It is a good security feature. You have to connect the iPod to yur computer and restore via iTunes.

Itunes help plz respond asap

ok so when i try to play my songs on itunes no matter where it was downloaded from (itunes or another source) it wont play. it will act like it was going to play and then freeze at 00:00. i tried re-installing it and deleting my itunes library and putting it back on but nothing has worked. my sound is fine because it makes that noise when i turn on the computer and such. help plz.

-I've already replaced my old 60 GB Ipod in exchange for an 80GB, I bring it home, sync it up with Itunes v7.02 and everything works fine for a while. Not even 24 hours later I go down into my artist/song directory to play a song, and it freezes again. I do the menu center key soft reboot a few times to bypass it and it works for awhile. I've tried looking for current updates for software on it, Restoring it, Resyncing and now It gets to the point everytime I unplug the ipod from charging I get back to the menu and try to play a song or video and it does nothing, it freezes everytime.
There has to be an explanation as to why my first one did it and why my new 80GB is doing it.
I've already ran a diagnosis on all the files in the ipod all of them come back clean.
Help me out.

My ipod is having a similar problem. The black apple logo has been the only thing I see on my ipod. I went a step farther and held the select and play/pause button to get it into disk mode. Once I am here I cannot proceed. I do not have computer that I hook it up to and have transferred the desired songs from an ex-girlfriends computer which I do not have access. What can I do once I have it in disk mode if I do not have a computer available?

- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.
You can restore from a backup if you have one from BEFORE you set the restrictions passcode.

connect it to a tv which support full hd and go into the settings and lower the resolution as much as possible and then connect it with your tv once more

Possible Solution to Frozen iPod, iTunes not responding and sad folder

There may be hope for frozen iPods, unresponsive iTunes and sad folders. This solution is totally anecdotal at this point as it only has worked on my iPod. However, try it you got nothing to lose. Our iPods broken right? It's a $300 paper weight right?
History
My iPod 4G 20GB started skipping songs then rebooted and gave me the sad folder. I reset and everything went downhill from there. I would:
- not be recognized in My Computer
-when I did get a drive on My Computer it would lock up My Computer
-reboot and either give me sad folder or Menu with no songs
-refuse to be updated
-be seen in Device Manager as ipod both with Firewire and USB connections
I read through the many threads here and tried all Apple's Solutions to no avail. I even called and they told me, very nicely and free of charge, that I would have to send it in and because the repair price was such to "look at the new models to see which one I wold like". I was totally bummed. I went and bought an new Nano 4GB (with warranty this time) swearing I would never buy another with a HDD again until they became more reliable. I even tried the smack it to get the disk head unstuck method. I figure my iPod was a paper weight at this point so what the ****.(Oddly this method works rather well with all sorts of broken electronics)
Solution
Then I cam across this special Diganostics Mode that you can get to by resetting and then while the Apple is showing pressing the Select and backwards keys simultaneously. It bring up and weird Diagnostic utility witha a abunch of tests. Here is what I did
- I tried the 5in1 test and got and error on Firewire.
- I did the HDD R/W and surprisingly it passed.
- I went on to the HDD scan. This supposedly tkaes acouple of minute so I waited. I think 4-5 dots appeared then nothing. The iPod started to get hot. THe disk was spinning away. After a while the battery got very low. THis test chews up the battery. So I escaped out by resetting and went to connect it to a power source.
My USB was dangling out of my computer and I was too lazy to get the Firewire AC adapter thing going so I connected expecting the whole lockup thing with iTunes. Surprise. IT was recognized immediately and has been working like a champ. So go figure.

My ipod only gets the sad logo and whenever I try to start it up I can hear the hard drive trying to start and then failing and it does so like 3 or 4 times. After I read your post I wanted to try that diagnostic thing but I can't get it into that mode. How long should I have to hold select and back? After I reset the ipod, it goes to the sad face, the hard drive seems to fail a few times and then the screen goes blank and stays like that for as long as I hold those buttons. I'm so sick and tired of dealing with a broken ipod but I really want to get this thing working again so I can never buy another Apple product again. Thanks.
