Frozen ipod screen/music

My ipod screen will turn on, i can turn the volume up and everything, but the song will not play at all. When i tried going to the next song when it 1st happened, it just kept on going thru them. I don't know, my headphones work fine. It just stopped playing music a few days ago.
Hp Windows 2000 It's a bit faster, but getting slower everyday

What do I do with a white screen on iPod touch and Power and Home buttons at the same time are non-responsive? I've read about similar problems and solutions but I haven't found one that fits my situation exactly. The other problems have a frozen white screen, but it will time out and go into "sleep mode" or the black screen where mine doesn't. Any ideas?

Try letting the battry full drain. It may take hours. Then charge for an hour and then try a reset

First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
Finally, if the Restore doesn't work, let the battery drain completely. Then recharge for at least an hour and Restore again.

I have an iPod Touch 4th Gen. It is frozen in the music function although everything else is working ok. Any ideas on what is wrong please?

What happens when you tried a reset? To do this, press and hold both the Select and Menu buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear. Don't be afraid to try this procedure more than once if no luck the first time.
If that doens't help, you may need to wait for your iPod's battery to drain.

My Nano is frozen, the screen is blank with an hour glass thingy in the middle.
When I plug into computer, it tells me it has recognised new hardware etc., then computer doesnt recognise the ipod .... the screen is still on the hour glass thingy

Hey, I am facing the same problem with my ipod 8GB black version.
I tried connecting my ipod to my laptop (Windows Vista) and to my PC(Windows XP), tried downloading USB drivers and using the Reset utility from Apple site. Nothing works and the ipod just shows the hourglass.
Can anyone suggest a solution please?

-I've already replaced my old 60 GB Ipod in exchange for an 80GB, I bring it home, sync it up with Itunes v7.02 and everything works fine for a while. Not even 24 hours later I go down into my artist/song directory to play a song, and it freezes again. I do the menu center key soft reboot a few times to bypass it and it works for awhile. I've tried looking for current updates for software on it, Restoring it, Resyncing and now It gets to the point everytime I unplug the ipod from charging I get back to the menu and try to play a song or video and it does nothing, it freezes everytime.
There has to be an explanation as to why my first one did it and why my new 80GB is doing it.
I've already ran a diagnosis on all the files in the ipod all of them come back clean.
Help me out.

My ipod is having a similar problem. The black apple logo has been the only thing I see on my ipod. I went a step farther and held the select and play/pause button to get it into disk mode. Once I am here I cannot proceed. I do not have computer that I hook it up to and have transferred the desired songs from an ex-girlfriends computer which I do not have access. What can I do once I have it in disk mode if I do not have a computer available?

Hey guys, about a month ago I changed my ipod screen as I have multiple times before except this time, the shutter on the iPods camera is frozen shut. I already tried resetting the iPod and that didn't work. I saw a few posts and videos on the iphone 4 about having to use a circuit pen to reconnect a part on the circuit board but I don't think it's the same for iPOD touch 4. IPod Screen is frozen

this morning i plugged in my ipod and itunes was not reading it, so i unplugged while it said do not disconnect. I restarted my computer and itunes and plugged it in again. the ipod screen is frozen and it says do not disconnect and it says it is 7:36AM. (the time i was working on it)
please help me!!!!

Mine does this after every song played, and only does this since the update.
I've tried downgrading, but it doesn't downgrade the firmware, or updates the firmware after I downgrade.
A video will work for as long as the video lasts, but it freezes everytime on a song.

Try a Reset...
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.

My daughter's ipod 4th gen (only 4 months old, bought direct from Apple) suddenly has a frozen white screen and will not turn off. When we plug it into the computer, the computer does not recognise it nor does iTunes, so we can't even do a full system restore. Help!
