Frozen iPod touch - iTunes to USB cable screen
Can anybody help?? Ive tried all the advise I can find on the net and cant get through this screen. When connected to my comuter, the new hardware found box is generated, but there is no communication possible between the two devices.
Ive tried to connect on other comuters and the same happens.

IPod touch stuck on USB connect screen but not recognized by iTunes
I downloaded the update for my iPod via iTunes but when the update attempted to install on the iPod, I received a message that the update failed. Now, my iPod is stuck on the USB connect screen (with the image of a cord below an arrow pointing to the iTunes logo). Every other thread says to connect to iTunes and attempt to reset the device (off and home button for several seconds) so I can restore it through iTunes, but even if I do that, it fails to connect to iTunes. Last time I had problems connecting to iTunes I downloaded the update through the iPod itself but seeing as I can't get off the USB connect screen, downloading it from the iPod is impossible. How can I get my iPod working again? Either getting it off the frozen screen so I can download the update, or getting my computer to recognize it so I can restore? Last time it wouldn't connect to iTunes (when it wasn't frozen) the computer still recognized it but now it does not. (I'm on a Windows 8 laptop)

Update failed Ipod Touch locked on USB Connetion screen
32 GB iPod touch failed to update to lates software. All I get on the iPod screen is the iTunes logo with the USB cord. Tried to reset by holding down "Home" button and Power button. Screen starts with apple logo for 4 seconds, flashes white, then goes back to apple logo. When released comes backup with iTunes logo and USB cord on screen again.
Any Suggestions?So you tried recovery mode using the exact instructions in the Apple support document above?
How about connecting the device to iTunes in DFU mode?

You will need to do as the image indicates and connect it to you computer's iTunes, you should then be able to reset the iPad and restore/resync your content to it -

My IPOD Touch initially had a white screen. I tried correcting this by restoring default settings via ITunes. The Restore Failed with error 1602 and now the IPOD touch is completely dead. It will not power on or respond when I plug it into my PC via USB. I get an error on my PC stating that device attached to USB port is not recognizable. Can anyone help?

my iPod touch 5th generation had white screened an it won't let me rest it by holding down the home button an the power button for ten seconds I've pulled it in to iTunes an its not being detected what can i do as its starting to over heat?
If you can't get it to shut down or restart when holding down the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons and you can't get it recognized in iTunes to restore it, the iPod may have suffered a hardware failure and will need to go to Apple for service. Someone else here may have additional suggestions, though.
There is no "fifth generation" iPod touch, by the way, just for the sake of clarity; not yet, anyway.

Ipod touch wont load past apple screen. I have tried resetting by holding home button and on/off but after it resets it still only loads to the apple screen. When I plug the device in It stays on the apple screen and itunes does not recognize it? I fear it may be stuck in some sort of reset loop which is stopping itunes from recognizing it. i bought a ipod touch 4th generation with cracked screen and i finally got it to turn on itunes and the ipod was making charging noises but the screen was just white i tryed updating it to ios 5.1.1 bit did nothink so i was wondering how to fix this white screen i tryed a hard reboot ( whitch i heard might work ) but did nothink if there is no sulution to fixing this is it worth buying a new screen ? thaanks

Error 1604
This error is often related to USB timing. Try changing USB ports, using a different dock connector to USB cable, and other available USB troubleshooting steps (troubleshooting USB connections. If you are using a dock, bypass it and connect directly to the white Apple USB dock connector cable. If the issue persists on a known-good computer, the device may need service.
If the issue is not resolved by USB isolation troubleshooting, and another computer is not available, try these steps to resolve the issue:
Connect the device to iTunes, confirm that the device is in Recovery Mode. If it's not in Recovery Mode,put it into Recovery Mode.

Close and reopen iTunes while the device remains connected.
The device should now be recognized in Recovery Mode again.
Try to restore again.
