Frozen on plug-in screen to download music.

Working fine yesterday morning. My daughter went to download a song from itunes. She bought the song and it downloaded to library, and then she went to the application store and it froze, screen went black on the itouch then a bunch of white numbers and letters appeared. After that the screen showed the plug-in picture with the cd and musical note and would not go back to the main menu. Now, when she goes back to the itunes page on the coomputer, she gets a message that says: itunes could not connect to ipod, unknown error OxE8000022. I have turned off the ipod and the computer several times, but when turned back on, the ipod opens with that same plug-in window. I have also switched USB ports, and nothing seems to get it out of that window. All the typical restart options have been used, and since I can't do anything but shut it down, not sure what to do next. Hope someone out there can help!

You need to plug it into the mains adapter to finish the update.
Are you sure your iPod didn't come with one?
Either way, if there's an Apple Store near you, bring it in & ask one of the Geniuses to plug it in for you. That ought to do the trick

    Hi esmelicious,
    Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
    I know it can be frustrating when you run into issues updating to the new iOS. In your specific situation, I would recommend placing your iPhone in what is called recovery rode and restore it from there. • I changed my AppleID password this morning and now I can't load iTunes gift card numbers to download music. The system keeps taking me to the account screen to verify payment info. When I click on DONE, it takes me back to the password screen.

    I changed my AppleID password this morning and now I can't load gift card numbers into iTunes to download music. The system takes me to the account settings screen to verify those and when I click on DONE, it takes me back to the password screen and I start over. This becomes an endless loop. What now.

    Greetings Ron,
    After reviewing your post, I have located an article that can help with gift card issues. It contains a number of troubleshooting steps and helpful advice for the issue you are experiencing:
    If you can't redeem your iTunes Gift Card or code
    Contact iTunes Store Support
    If the code is completely scratched off or you still can't redeem your gift card, contact iTunes Support:
    Go to the iTunes Store support page and choose your country.
    From the menu on the left, choose Contact Support.
    Click Contact iTunes Store Support.
    Follow the instructions.
    iTunes Store Support might ask you to send these things:
    Image of the full front and back of your gift card
    Sales receipt showing when your card was purchased
    Serial number from your gift card
    Thank you for contributing to Apple Support Communities.

  • Everytime I download music to my itunes on the computer and plug in my iphone it never downloads and I dont know why?

    Everytime I download music to my itunes on my computer and plug in my Iphone 4 it nevers downloads the music to the phone..

    If you want to drag and drop then you would have to select Manually Manage Music.
    Otherwise, just sync your music.

  • I just plugged in my Iphone after 4 weeks of downloading music and adding contacts around 400 to be excact and it whipped all my data out and I have no photos nothing reset to factory defult and I cannot even listen to music I purchased because it skips

    I just plugged in my Iphone after 4 weeks of downloading music and adding contacts around 400 to be excact. When I plugged it in my computer it started to sync with iTunes and it whipped all my data out. I have no photos contacts nothing, so I then in a rage reset to factory defult and I cannot even listen to music I purchased because it skips. I just want my phone back

    Was this the very first time you ever plugged the phone into that computer?
    Did you pay attention to the prompts you were given when you plugged it in?
    Did you have iCloud backups turned on before you did this?  I hope so... If you did, restore the phone from the last iCloud backup from before you wiped it. If not, then the photos, etc. are gone. Apps and music can be re-downloaded.

  • When I have downloaded music from ITunes to my IPad then try to play them in music the screen turns black, how do I correct this?

    It seems that when I download music from the ITunes app on my IPad and then go to play the songs on the music app the screen goes black. Why and how do I fix the problem?

    Try this:
    Make Sure iOS is updated to the latest version
    Reboot the device by pressing and holding down the home and sleep/wake buttons (power) at the same time until the apple logo appears on the screen, then let go.
    If that doesn't work then reset the device by going to settings/general/reset/reset all settings

    If you are having the same issue on several computers then it is a hardware issue! Not a software issue! Replacement is the only resolution!

  • HT1212 my iphone is frozen on the lock screen and will not let me enter my passcode, I have held the home button and power button for up to 1 minute and plugged it up to itunes because its locked it wont work? i need help

    i have connected it to itunes like i was told to do and it wont do anything because its locked with a passcode and its frozen on the lock screen and will not let me enter myt passcode and after a while it just shuts off, it has been doing this for almost 48 hours. I was told to hold the home button and power button to shut it down and that I could then restart it and it would work... Nothing has helped, What can I try???

    Reset the device by pressing and holding the home and power buttons for 15-20 seconds until the white Apple logo appears.
    If that does not resolve, restore the device via iTunes on the computer.
    If all else fails, take the device to Apple (or whomever provides support in your country) for evaluation and possible replacement.

  • Full screen slideshows with music

    How do I publish slideshows that can be displayed full screen w/ music? I've read through some posts that seem to allude that this can be done w/iweb + iphoto, but after much trial and error I can't get it to work.
    An example of what I'm shooting for is what I'm able to do over at phanfare.com, such as with this album:
    http://public.phanfare.com/slideshow.aspx?username=public&album_id=281790
    Really, if I could just get my iPhoto slideshows to display through iweb it would be great. That way you get ken burns, music, full screen, etc.
    What I've discovered is that you can create your iphoto slide show and export it as a quicktime movie for posting, but the quality *****. Contrary to other posts, you apparently can not select to share a slideshow from within iphoto to iweb since the pages are grayed out in the options. The standard iweb slideshows from the album pages don't have music and aren't capable of full screen viewing.
    I'm a phanfare subscriber and love their slideshows but they are making some big changes in the service next year and I'm looking for alternative ways of sharing slideshows- but I gotta have full screen and custom music. I'd love to use my .mac account since I already pay for it.

    QuickTime Media Link is very simple. A tiny text based file that holds special settings for playback and is viewed using the QuickTime Player (not a browser plug-in). It will always download to the computer when the link is clicked. They measure in bytes (not MB's like your actual file).
    You can make them with TextEdit and save them using the .qtl file extension. The syntax:
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <?quicktime type="application/x-quicktime-media-link"?>
    <embed
    autoplay="true"
    controller="false"
    fullscreen="full"
    loop="true"
    src="entire URL path to the file.extension"
    Create the QuickTime file with iPhoto or any other application and upload it to your server. iDisk users could use the Movies folder. Other server users may want to make a new folder to store the media outside of their regular pages.
    Once uploaded you need to use the complete URL in the .xml text file. Test that it works by opening it directly in QuickTime Player or a browser window.
    Make your "plain text" file using the example code above. Substitute your URL for the src="entire URL path to the file.extension". You can have the movie "loop" (or not), play at "full" screen (or other sizes) and many other options.
    Major advantage to this method is you do not need to create a huge file sized QuickTime movie. A 640X480 QuickTime file in H.264 video codec format and AAC audio is all you need for full screen playback.
    In iWeb you need only use the "Link to File" to add this .qtl file to your page. One of mine as an example:
    http://homepage.mac.com/kkirkster/LemonTrees/LemonTree.qtl

  • Screen frozen, I have this screen frozen twice on my screen.

    I have a screen frozen on my computer screen twice. It says"All your music in one place" I was trying to download i tunes again and this came up as part of the process. It isn't progressing. I cannot cancel, it close it or even copy it to show you what it looks like. What is it, or how can I get rid of it.

    I don't know why your iGoogle page that worked with 3.6 would not work with 4.0. I assume iGoogle is important, but to get you some use of the browser, you might want to switch to a blank (or some other) home page.
    Try starting up from a link (e.g., in a document, PDF, or email message) or a shortcut (e.g., something you have saved on your desktop or something in your IE Favorites folder. Once you hit that page, go to
    Tools > Options > General
    and change your home page.
    Hopefully you can solve the iGoogle problem. If not and you want to roll back to Fx 3.6:
    First, make a backup of your computer for safekeeping. To back up Firefox, see [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Backing+up+your+information Backing up your information].
    Next, download and save Firefox 3.6 to your desktop for future installation. http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all-older
    Close Firefox 4, and uninstall it. Do not remove your personal data and settings, just the program.
    Then finally you can reinstall Firefox 3.6. Unless you have installed an incompatible add-on, it should pick up where you left off. If there are serious issues, please post back with details.
    Note: I haven't actually tried this myself!
