Frozen out with "script unresponsive" box up; can't quit app.Help!!

FF locked up with dialog box open saying "Warning: Unresponsive Script"
I can't do anything on FF and can't quit it. If I need to uninstall and reinstall, how do I save my bookmarks?

Does the message say what script? Did you get any crash warnings
from Firefox?

Did you select all of the music to sync by clicking on the playlists or albums or whatever you use in iTunes - in order for them to sync? Or did you click on Entire Music Library if you want all of your music on the iPad?

When i take pictues with my 4s and the flash is on, the picture comes out with a blue tint.. can't figure out why.. no case or cover of any kind and it still happens

Yes, it is official. iPad 1 hasn't been eligible for an update in 2 years.
It will run any applications that are compatible with iOS 5.
The selection is definitely thinning out as developers cater to the newer versions of iOS.
You can check the iTunes store to see if the apps you are interested in support iOS 5 but IMO, it most likely isn't worth buying an iPad 1 unless you have a very limited simplistic use for it.

I am replacing a Domain Controller (Windows 2003 Server) with a 2012 box. Can I have the Certificate authority exist in both locations during the process?

no. You have to uninstall CA role before you uninstall Domain Controller role from existing server.
this is why it is not recommended to keep CA role on domain controllers.

Problem with Script window(Box frame)

i draw a box in script window,iam able to get it in print view of SP01,but the box was not displaying on printed output.
i tried in allways increasing window size,decreasing box frame size...etc
please let me know any reason behind this and suggest me the solution

I reinstalled my computer because it was too slow, and Safary icon has a ? question mark on it in the dock, i pulled it out with the hope that i can bring it back from the application, but the icon could not be found in the application. Pls help me.

I think that your Mac detects your hard disk, but the problem is that your new hard disk doesn't contain any operating system, so your Mac doesn't find any bootable partition and you see a question mark.

Trying to help a friend out with scripting problems in PS CS4

My friend at work has a mbp-c2d. He has scripting errors come up in photoshop when using Contact sheet II, photomerge, or HDR. He has recently upgraded from CS3 to CS4 and has had the same problem in both. He can goto the scripts in Applications- Photoshop CS4- presets- Scripts and click on the actual script icons and they will work but not through the program. Reloading programs doesn't seam to help. He is useing leopard.

I have a perplexing problem with creating some links. I created a button using the shapes tools, I use the command/shift/4 to capture the image I created, I go to photoshop, edit it, then save it as a jpeg, put it into my site, make it a link, publish the site .... then nothing. The link won't work. Any other jpeg image i put in easily converts to a link if I desire, why won't this?
Also, I have read on here that you can use a transparent text box over text to create a link without having to convert the actual text and get the annoying underline, etc. that come with it. Any idea how to do this?

The process that you describe should work exactly like that. I'm not sure what the issue is with those buttons. Do you have a URL where we can take a look at one of these buttons? It may be that they are getting obscured by something else maybe?

This is true. You can always overlay a SHAPE and change its opacity in the Inspector Graphics tab to 1% in order to make it transparent. It has to be 1% or more, though...zero doesn't work. Also, if the text that you want hyperlinked or hotspotted is in a textbox all by itself, then you can also attach the hyperlink to the textbox itself instead of selecting the text in the textbox. That will also avoid the underline....but it works only if the text is in a textbox all by itself.

LR5 won't print, it send print job starts to spool then just dissaperes from the print cue? my printer works fine with other software. I can't get any help from Adobe support can anyone help???

Please try the following steps:
Open the file in Adobe Reader
Click on File menu - Print
In the Print Dialog box, select the Printer and then select Advanced button
In the Advanced print setup, Please check 'Print as Image' (See the Screen shot)
Click Ok and then Click Print.

It's in recovery mode. Plug it into your computer and restore it using iTunes.

"open with" menu suddenly showing multiple copies of all apps - HELP!!

Recently, the "open with" menu that pops up when I right click a file on my desktop has started showing multiple copies of all applications, and it's getting WORSE! It started out a few weeks ago doing this with one extra copy of only one application, but now there many, many copies of all apps - different numbers of copies depending on the app.
This is somehow related to the fact that I have an external G-Drive USB connected, which I am using as my backup drive. I copied everything onto this drive using SuperDuper. When the G-drive is connected, I get the error message below if I pick the "wrong" copy of an app. When I eject the G-Drive, I STILL see multiple apps, but get no error message, and any one of the app copies I select will open properly.

Script or anything that will auto quit app after certain time of inactivity?

I am searching for a way to make apps auto quit after a certain time of inactivity.
For exmaple, if i open the app store, i would like it to close automatically after a certain amount of time, with the possibility of adding exceptions to the list.
Is this in any way possible?

Systemd doesn't seem to have this exact behavior. Autofs does though, it has a timeout option. (Systemd's StopWhenUnneeded is for when services don't need it, and its timeout option is for how long to wait before giving up trying to mount it.)
Now I wonder if autofs can also trigger a command after unmounting...

You can use the intofiy-tool's package's inotifywait to wait for an unmount event.

Often Can't Quit Apps

Dunno if this is a Macbook Pro issue or OS X Leopard issue. I'm going with MBP issue because my MBP has been exhibiting other quirky behavior.
Fairly regularly, I am unable to quit an application,such as Safari. I attempt to quit but the app stays open. I then must force quit.
Occasionally, Force quitting doesn't work so I have to restart my MBP ...the app then successfully quits.
Anyone have any idea what's going on here?

Since this issue apparently can't be fixed, I may try to get Apple to authorize a replacement MBP for me. After all, I did pay for a MBP that's supposed to work perfectly. I bought mine in Sept.'08.
From what I can determine, far too many MBPs are showing problems of one kind or another.
A number of friends who work in the film animation industry have purchased MBPs in the past year and all have been having problems. Two have returned theirs.
I think that overall MBP quality and reliability has been slipping badly. True, some fortunate folks have experienced no problems but too many HAVE experienced problems.
