Frozen phone after upgrade

I connected phone to computer this evening and it told me to update the software on my 3gs so I did, It would not complete the update due to and un expected error (1611 or something) now I cannot get it to work at all. Im massivly angry and worried that Ill end up losing pictures and videos of my son. Surely Apple cant just mess up things like this? Please any help would be fantastic. I have relatively low knowledge with computers so please dont get too tech with me. Thanks so much

Yes, if you've synced and backed up your iPhone with iTunes.
This article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766 provides details about the data saved in the iPhone backup.
You can setup service for the iPhone and then restore the replacement iPhone from the backup of your current iPhone.

HT1476 issue charging the phone after upgrade to iOS7

After upgrading to iOS7, my iPhone 5 won't accept my charger cables. I have 2 cables, tried around ten wall sockets, tried using my laptop, PC...nothing works.
The only way to charge it is to turn off the phone and leave it like that.
The main problem for me after not charging is that I cannot connect it to iTunes in order to downgrade.
I am seriously getting sick and tired of these things about Apple products....and they cost a s#&% load of money...
I've been using 3Gs and 4G, benn satisfied, but that's all, not close to excellent....
Oh...and about the charger cords..the one that came with the phone is trash...I used it a few times and after that I had to throw it in the garbage. I saw that you can buy a new one slightly cheaper due to a program of Apple, but the main problem is that ROMANIA does not show in countries....although there are many many users of Apple products over here....
I'll wait a few days if I can solve the problem...either downgrading or something else.....if not...to the flea market with it...

Slow phone after upgrade to OS6

Hello pls help,I upgraded my curve 3g to OS6 but I notice that most times my phonne gets slowed down.It has asked me to remove all unused apps. I did just that,and I even removed the languages am not using too.pls help

Well, first you say that your phone is slow. Then you state that your phone told you to remove unused apps. Did you read my last post? From what I've read, most phone performance issues are app related. You either have too many apps running at once (most likely), have a third party app that is causing a problem (less likely), or there is something actually wrong with your phone (least likely). As I stated, I noticed that my phone was slower than normal after installing OS6. I was using OS6 just like OS5, but the difference is that the apps in OS6 seem to want to close differently. So I had like 8 apps open at once, and that was my problem.
The first statement that you make is so vague that no one is going to be able to help you. When is your phone slow? What apps are you running during this time? Do you have excessive apps open? Is it slow all of the time or just sometimes? What non BB apps (third party) are you running? The 9300 also only has 256meg of ram, so that is going to make your application behavior that much more noticeable.
Try holding the ALT key down while pressing the BACK button (the one just to the right of the track pad) and that will show you which applications are running. You should see a minimum of 5 (home, phone, browser, messages, and messenger). If you see more than this, particularly if there apps open that you aren't using, this is likely a big contributor. Close those apps and see the difference. Just for fun, do a battery pull.
The second statement that you made is even more confusing because at no point in time would your phone ever tell you to uninstall something. At least, not that I can think of. What do you mean when you say the phone asked you to remove unused apps?

How do I get my data back on the phone after upgrade?

Say I'm replacing my phone with a 3GS, how does iTunes tie the data it has to the phone, is it by the phone # on the SIM card?
I want to make sure all my data, apps etc. gets back on the phone, what process do I need to follow?

All iTunes content they you have selected to be transferred to your existing iPhone - music/video/podcasts including 3rd party apps remain in your iTunes library on your computer. Photos transferred to your existing iPhone via the iTunes sync process also remain on your computer.
If you are syncing contact info and calendar events with the Address Book and iCal on your Mac, this data also remains on your computer.
You can sync multiple iPods and/or iPhones with the same iTunes library and iTunes account with each device having its own sync settings.
When you connect a new iPhone to iTunes on your computer, you will be prompted to transfer the backup for another iPhone that has been synced with iTunes. After the backup for your existing iPhone is transferred to your new iPhone, this must be followed by a sync to transfer your selected iTunes content including 3rd party apps and any photos on your computer selected to be transferred to your iPhone. You select sync contacts with the Address Book and calendar events with iCal under the Info tab for your new iPhone sync preferences and this data will be transferred to your new iPhone.

Apple ID and password no longer works on phone after upgrade of iOS6

I can't log into the App Store on my phone now that I have upgraded to the iOS6. Keep getting a message that says "Your Apple ID or password is incorrect." I have changed my password twice now since the upgrade but I still can't get in to buy a new app. I can however log on to the computer to the store. But can't on my iPhone4s????

Why am I having problems charging my phone after upgrade to IOS 6?

I just updated my phone to the IOS system yesterday. Ever since I did that, my phone will not charge right! I keep getting an error saying my charger is not compatible with my phone anymore..but yet it was before the update? Any suggestions to fix this problem?

My iphone battery is loosing 1% per minute talking on a call - that is not exceptable given that it never behaved this way prior to the 7.1 update. I have gone through and turned off everything that I read that may be causing the new batterey drain - but nothing is helping.

Purchased ringtones disappeared off phone after upgrade

Since upgrading my iPhone recently and using iCloud I've lost all the ringtones I'd purchased and they don't appear on iTunes to download again. How can I rectify this please?

I have same issue. I have done the checklist from iMore website -- all techniques do not work. I followed the steps, but the "remove and sync" does not appear. I also did "restore from backup"; still did not work. The ringtones were NOT restored on my iPhone 6 (iOS 8.1.1).
Apple will have to do another update to fix this issue and refund the purchase.

Cannot add 7941 phones after upgrading to device package 4.1

I have installed CCM device package 4.1(72.0) and now i cannot add 7941 / 7961 phones. i get the error message on the attached file.any tips?

This bug has hit a few people :( I would try installing a different Device Pack or the recommended SR;
There are two Bugs associated to this problem. Have a look;

All IP Phones are connected to Cisco Switches and have CDP enabled .
It does not matter If the third generation IP Phone is registered or not registered with call Manager.Message pops up on both the cases for all third generation IP Phones.
7940,7960 Phones does not have this problem.

Ipad frozen out after upgrade

Evening every one...have updated my daughters ipad 3 to the new ios today and a little while ago she has gone to use it and the unlock slide is not working or the turn off. PLEASE HELP!! Last night my boyfriend asked me to sync his phone as he had purchased a new app and it was required to connect to iTunes to finish installing, so we did this, it took forever!! It also prompted us to upgrade to iOS5, which we did, the sync finished and he unplugged his phone and all of the contacts and apps from my iPhone have moved onto his phone and his apps have disappeared? Is there anyway at all to rectify this at all? I know that w had to restore the phone after upgrading to iOS5 but I am sure that I hit restore from partners phone and not from mine.

iPhones can only be sync'd to ONE computer.
And as it was not running iOS5, it had to have been sync to a computer before he could use it.
So unless it was always backup up to your computer, it is all gone.
You can redownload apps you bought.
Sign into his account on the iphone, and go to appstore.
Go to Updates page,
you can click on purchased and see what you already bought, and can redownload.
In future you should only sync your iphone to one computer.
In iOS5 you can backup online to icloud.
But sadly the data that was on his phone may be gone now that you updated on your computer.
Out of interest, I have never had an app that needs to sync to a computer before it downloads or runs.
What app was it?

Trouble with activation after upgrading to iOS 7.0

This is ridiculous. Still having trouble with activating my phone after upgrading to iOS 7.0. How does Apple expect us to make / receive phone calls???

It may take a while becuse millions of people are doing it at the same time. Patience young grasshopper. Try restarting the phone and then try activating again. It took mine a good long time before the activation completed successfully

Unable to activate after upgrade

I'm trying to re-activate my phone after upgrading to 1.1.1, and iTunes is giving me a "Cannot complete your iTunes Store request. The store may be busy," but the regular iTunes store is working fine.
Is the activation server down right now?

There's obviously a problem with the activation servers. Although AT&T doesn't know of any issues (and told me to contact Apple), I am now no longer getting the error, but it's been attempting to access the store now for about 5 minutes.

IPhone 3G locked after upgrading the software..Plz help

I have upgraded the iPhone 3G through iTunes. But it restored my phone after upgrading. Now its asking for activating the phone. A USB connector and iTunes icon is displaying on iphone screen. I am using an airtel SIM. The iTunes is displaying a message that SIM card inserted is NOT supported, use a compatible SIM card.
Before that everything was working fine. This carp happened after upgradation.

Sounds like you had a jailbroken/unlocked iPhone. Airtel is one of the authorized carriers in India, so if you bought the phone from them, contact their tech support. If you got the iPhone from somewhere else, contact the seller for help - upgrading/restoring removes the jailbreak, so you've got a paperweight now.
