Frozen Touch Screen.

This just happened recently today, not even three hours ago. I thought my iTouch glitched, but it seems worse. The screen is completely frozen, though it still is active. I double click and it brings my music, but I can`t do a thing with it. Every time I try to unlock it with the slide, it doesn`t do anything at all. Even when I try turning it off, it doesn`t even work, too.
I restored it through iTunes to see if it stopped the glitching, but it just won`t work at all. What should I do?
Edit: I recently tried sliding the shut off, and it went halfway, but slides back. Why is my screen so messed up? D:

I have been having the same exact issue except the "off" slide bar does not move at all. I hope you get it resolved.

  • Palm Z22 frozen touch screen

Hi -- I can turn on my Palm Z22, I can reset it, i can use the buttons, but the touch screen doesn't work at all.  Does anyone know a fix for this?
    Thanks,

To add to this.....I just performed a hard reset and after confirming that I wanted to delete all data, it then asked me to "Tap the center of the target" with the stylus.  The target just keeps alternating between top left corner and bottom right corner in an endless loop and won't leave that screen no matter how many times I tap the target.  Is my Z22 gone for good?
    Thanks for any help.

I'm having a similar problem. Brand new phone. Everything works well. Touchscreen responds to finger touch but the stylus will not cause a responce. Did a soft reset. Is a hard reset in order or is there a setting somewhere I haven't found yet?

  • Nokia 300 Frozen Touch Screen

    Hi,
I wonder if anyone can offer any help or advice on a problem I have encountered with a Nokia 300?
The problem is that the screen seems to have completely frozen and as such the phone is now totally useless. I have tried all the usuall stuff like removing the battery etc but to no avail. All the more puzzling is that the keys seem to work fine, but as you need to swipe across the screen to unlock the phone these are also useless at present.
Really I suppose I have two questions -
    1. Can anyone offer any advice on how to get the screen working?
    2. If the screen remains unresponsive is it possible to unlock the phone by any other means? so that I can retrieve phone numbers etc that are saved to phone memory
Thanks in advance for any help anyone can offer

    Press the green/call button instead.
    Hope this helps.

Have you tried a reset which is similar to a computer restart and is done by pressing and holding the home button and the sleep/wake or on/off button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo and then release?

Try to reboot it. Hold down the sleep and home keys until you see the silver apple, about 20 seconds or so. It should reboot and work for you.

There is no way to downgrade to a different iOS. Apple does not support downgrading. See this link regarding speeding up the iPhone 4. http://osxdaily.com/2013/09/23/ios-7-slow-speed-it-up/

  • My mail app is frozen does not respoind to touch screen

suddenly my Mail App is frozen. It does not respond to the touch screen at all.

Try restarting the device and see if that works. If you find that there was no help from that use these steps (located in Apple article HT5137):
Follow these steps to force an app to close:
From the Home screen, click the Home button twice.
Tap and hold on the app.
When it starts to jiggle, tap the red - icon to close it.
Double-click the Home button and try opening the app aga

My Ipad2 touch screen has frozen and none of the apps will open. I can't do a shut down to reboot?

Sorry, darned auto correct. Sleep and home. The home is the button on the front of your iPad. The sleep button is also the power down button. It's on the upper right edge of your iPad.
My apologies for the typo. My keyboard is charging and the onscreen keyboard and I don't get along well.

  • IPod touch frozen on screen showing apple symbol and usb cable.

Pod touch frozen on screen showing apple symbol and usb cable. Happened during a update attempt.

First, try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
Finally, if the Restore doesn't work, let the battery drain completely.  Then recharge for at least an hour and Restore again.

  • Touch screen has frozen, what can I do?

Hi everything has been fine with my phone all day then when I tried to reply to a txt it had frozen on the lock screen. The touch screen isn't working and not letting me swipe to unlock or turn phone off. Any ideas what I can do to fix this?

Try resetting your phone: Press the Sleep/Wake button & Home button at the same time, keep pressing until you see the Apple logo, then release.
