Frustrated in trying to get ANY so
I folks, this is my first day on this forum and I'm looking for any help can get.
I consider myself somewhere betweena novice and intermeditae user. ?I see a lot of threads on poor sound, but none on no sound. I recently installed VISTA on my computer (home premium) and just installed a XFi fatality sound card. I downloaded the installtion disk and the on line vista beta update but can't get any sound at all. The control panel says no audio devices installed. When I try to run diagnostics it tells me? diagnostics MFC application stopped working. I also received a message that REGPLIB.EXE entry point not found. Has anybody run into this also? Any idea how?I can get the computer to recognize the sound card? Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.
I too have the same problem. Since installing the beta driver in Vista Ultimate, my sound card was at first recognised by Vista and now Vista does not even detect it. I have reinstalled the driver a number of times and tried without any avail. Even forcing the Device Manager to scan for new hardware does not work.
So I know the frustration. I have no sound and it ruins my Vista experience - no games and no entertainment!

I just bought a new 2TB time capsule and I am so frustrated that I cant get any help!!!!!
Yesterday, I bought a new (4th gen) 2TB TC to replace by mid 2007 500gb TC. I did this simple to upgrade the wirelass capability to the very latest as the wifi in our home is intermittent. I also bought a Zepplin recently so that i could use Airplay to stream music but the wifi is also intermittent, it works when it wants to and not usually when when i want it too!! Hence the purchase of a new TC for £249.
The instructions on the Apple site and in the instruction book all say it is so easy to set up the TC and the wireless network.
So here I am , 24 hours later and frustrated at having spent hours and hours and gotten no-where. Ive logged calls with Apple Support and even though I am sat by the phone they keep emailing me saying they've tried to reach me and if I still need help then to rearrange a call!! But I'm here!!!
Here's my problem (apart from the desire to take the TC back and get a refund)...
- when I open Airport Utility (6.2), I get a picture that shows the world and the word Internet with a line to the time capsule but all the instructions that I have found and read say that I should get a dialogue box that lists the devices on the left hand side. The instructions with the TC say I open AU and follow the instructions and prompts - what instructions and prompts, there arnt any!!!
- also, the picture does NOT pick up the 2 airport expressess in the house that I used to extend the wirelass network on the previous TC
- there is no option to extend the wireless network
- every now and then the TC light goes Yellow and airport utility "looses" the TC
- TC seems to want to back up the entire MAC (c350gb) but it is doing so at a very slow speed and only did about 2.5gb over night. I dont mind a whole new backup to the new TC but it cant be right that it will take 19 days (the last time I looked!)
My main frustration is that the so-called simple instructions dont seem to replate at all to my system and I'm frustrated because I dont know where to go to get any help....and if Apple email me one more time to say they cant reach me then I will definately take the TC back!!
Can anyone help me?
p.s. sorry for the rant, i though this would be a half hour job to upgrade my wirelass and is turning into a nightmare!Unfrotunately, this sounds like a dead TC.

You need to reconfigure the Expresses to rejoin the TC's network via a factory reset. -
Frustrated with trying to get the JB Update
An update process should not be this hard. IF there is a schedule to when it is available to your phone, then please Verizon say so!
I've tried every way to do this, multiple times (like 30 or so)!! All in different combinations to see if I would hit something. Always had wi-fi on, would always force stop, then clear data. I would then either reboot or use the back button and go back to about phone and check for an update. Did this with mobile data turned on sometimes, turned off sometimes. Running a stock non-<Deleted> phone. This is what irritates me about the update process..... just make the file available to everyone, not this hit/miss junk. I don't mind the wi-fi OTA, but I should not have to jump thru hoops and try multiple variations to download a file.

I'm trying to process my first iPhoto order and I can't get past the fact it won't accept my telephone number. Experiment - or search these forums - someone discovered a solution and it was a format issue
The US format for phone numbers is 10 digits AAA-PPP-NNNN - you do not include the 01+ here typically - maybe if you can out your digites in that format it will work

My computer crashed and I downloaded Itunes on a new computer and I'm trying to get new music and it says my Ipod is synced with another itunes library {my dead computer} and I can either erase and sync or transfer itunes purchases. Is there any way possible I dont have to erase my music? So frustrating.

I have tried to submit a dissatisfaction report following your instructions from my invoice for the recent purchase of smart office 2. I can get no further as a report code keeps appearing saying too many http redirects so I can not get any further.
I have also sent 3 emails to the company if Smart Office 2 with no response.
How do I report my dissatisfaction which is growing with the frustration of not being able to contact any one!

Using Windows 8, recently installed Itunes 11. Just tried to download a cd and synch it to Ipod and it doesn't work. I clicked on my device (ipod) in Itunes and didn't get any menu choices. How do I synch music from itunes to ipod? Also, music purchased that was on ipod is still on ipod but not on the computer. How do I get purchased songs on the computer?
Sync works the same way it always has, connect the device, select the content desired to sync and sync.
All the media should be in iTunes already, iDevices are not and have never been backup devices.
If this is a new computer, move the content from the old computer to the new computer. -
I am trying to connect my Apple TV to an older Panasonic projection TV using an HDMI to a DVI cable to the Digital IN. I cannot get any sound. Can you help?
DVI interface does't allow audio. Is there optical IN from your Panasonic TV? By then you can connect your ATV to Panasonic using optical together. It will work.

How do you isolate an album or artist in the new iTunes? (12.0) It is really frustrating when trying to listen to one album and I get the album in the list with all 1,025 other albums in my library. Same with the artist.

You assumed correctly, and it should continue to play the rest of the album in order. Does this happen to all your albums. Have you tried restarting the tv. -
Yesterday I changed my email password on my home computer. Today, I can't get any new emails on my Samsung Galaxy 4; I deleted the email account entirely and tried to set it up again as a new account, using the new password, but it keeps giving me an error message that reads: Cannot safely connect to server. The new password is working on my home computer. I even tried the old password; it just gave me the same error message.
I'm sorry you're having issues with your e-mail account on your phone Rusty1112. Let's figure out what's going on. First, please try deleting account/information again and then restart phone. When phone is back on, try adding e-mail account again, and be sure you're entering exactly as you set up, meaning its case-sensitive. If you're still getting same error, please let us know and let us know what e-mail account it is, Yahoo, AOL, MSN, etc.

iCal reports that it can't find server, and lots of data from several years ago is trying to get attention. Cannot bring up calendar in any view to use. also keeps loading unused calendar websites from long ago. I can' remove them. what to do?
UPDATE: I had 36 Safari windows open and minimized on the dock from my last session; 20 of those windows failed to open b/c Safari "couldn't find the server"; I just went to the URL bar of all 20 pages and clicked return, and all 20 pages loaded perfectly, without dropping any images or losing formatting. This is a puzzle!!!

I had switches off my iPhone 5 at around 20 percent battery next morning I was not able to switch it on. I tried to get it charged but it didn't showed any sign of charging even when plugged in for about 2 hours. I had to take it to apple care centre but they refused to repair it after confirming the problem with the device as it was out of warranty and asked me to get it replaced for INR 22500. I got it repaired outside but after that also if I switch it off in the same situation it again happens and I have to take it for repair it has happened 3 times after that. Is it a inherent problem in iPhone that it uses battery even when switched off and if in that case battery drain out then refuse to get charged because this is the scenario i have experienced every time?
Apple told you it was unrepairable.... You had it serviced by an unauthorized party. It's now no longer eligible for out of warranty replacement by Apple.
There's really nothing else we can say about it. Find a competent 3rd party repair shop or buy a new one. -
Hi, I've been playing Smurf's village for a year now and just last week, i tried to get into the app but it keeps rejecting and goes back to the main page. Is there any reason for this? I've been updating the app everytime and now it's not letting me in. Pls advise. Tq
Reset the device, restart the device, try downloading any other app.
All of these are basic steps that could have been found by a simple search of the forums as a resolution for the issue. -

You are right, Adobe does not support CS5 because it is no longer sold.
Simply download the trial version of CS5 from this Adobe web site and input your serial number.
