Frustrated over my stupid freaking Printer!!!!!!!!!!!

I GIVE UP! Frustrated!
Problem: I can't use my new printer (Epson Stylus CX6000) through my wireless network.
I am hooked up through the internet via Verizons FIOS. I have a cable running out my wall into a D-link router. My Airport Express hub is hooked up to the router. I have the printer hooked up via a USB connection to the Airport Express hub.
I tried to run a test through Mail and print out one of my e-mails and it spools and spools and spools for maybe 30 seconds than it says there is a communication error. I can print stuff when the printer is hooked up directly to my powerbook.
So I've run through Airport Admin Utility, Airport Set-up Assistant and the printer set-up utility... The Airport Express hub is identifying the printer and everywhere that I have looked on the computer the printer is showing up. I selected bounjour in the print set-up menu... So I don't know..
Any help or advice from the great Apple minds would be wonderful, as I'm about to jump off a cliff.
Many thanks!

Before you jump, when you added the CX6000 as a Bonjour printer, did the Print Using menu show the correct printer (ie the same setting as when you connect the printer directly to the powerbook?) I have seen some cases where a CUPS printer gets added rather than the vendor provided driver.
Also, have a look at Console (in Applications > Utilities) and check the cups error log. It may give some clues as to why the comms are failing to the printer.
Lastly, try turning off the Airport, with the printer connected, and turning it back on again. You could even try disconnecting the D-Link in case it is interfering.

Very important is the span column paragraph property which allows to span several columns in a text frame or to split a column in several sub columns.
Very important is the tag feature, which is also important for creating PDFs with unlimited access.
A lot of problems with footnotes and page layout have been solved due to a better text engine. Up to CS5.5 it could happen that a footnote could force a page be empty when a document was opened.
With CS5 rounded frame corners which are editable were introduced.
Object Styles have been completed since CS3.
Content tools to create linked content were introduced. You need only to change the original content (text or image) and all linked content will be updated as any other link. The linked content can be in the same and in any other document.
Since CS5.5 it is much easier to anchor frames in a text flow with the little at the top of a frame symbol.

  • Serious frustration over constant crashing of InDesign CS6

    Hi everyone
I am seriously beyond frustrated over constant crashing from InDesign CS6. If InDesign is a person, I would have slammed its face into the wall by now. Just these two days, while working on a 160 pages document, Indesign has crashed more than 20 times and everytime it does, the crash report is too large to post to pastebin.
Basically, when I reflow text, it crashed. When I tried generating TOC it crashed. While inserting new cross references, I mis-clicked and clicked on "update" instead and it crashed. When I deleted one page, it crashed. When I deleted one textbox, it crashed. I can't seem to stop it from crashing. I'm really really frustrated coz there's no one or place I can take the damn document to so that I can some answers from someone why it crashes soooo frequently. I did another document, which was around the same size, it was fine. No drama. Why this is different?
Is it because I have a running headers? So everytime I do something, it will update and then crash? Can I stop running headers from updating automatically? Can I set it to update manually?
I'm soooooooooooooooo over it. I can't seem to figure out the crashing problem. I have turned off Smart Flow thinking that it was what causing it. Still the same thing.
I'm running OSX Mountain Lion with SF4.
I'm sure it will crash again. I might have to post a pdf doc of the crash report.
    Any idea will be appreciated

It could be a font but there's nothing I could do about it because it's a template document. I have to use that font, DIN by the way.
Yes, there are cross references and some of them were transferred from Word doc when I placed text in. So I went through and removed those coz they were wrong anyway.
I also added cross references to the running headers like this - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sBgBQJLErCM
Basically, the style of the document (designed by another designer) had numbering in front of the chapter titles and it's throughout the document so there could be up to 12 running titles. I had a feeling it would be this because this is the only thing I did differently this time around using this file, but it's either this way or create 12 Master Pages.
Does anyone know how else can I do a running headers with numbering?
    Thanks for your help.

I use the charger that came along with my phone, I also used the charger which came along with another Nokia Phone (Both Orignal Chargers) and still this happens.
I had this problem before (Oct'13) but I pulled out my sim and then charged it and it worked, I tried the same again but no results.
When I open my phone, I have an app (iON Battery Charger) which displays my battery charge to be 7% but after I plug in my charger, after it displays error the App says 'Battery API Error'.
I have over a hundred problems with my x6 but I'm living with it but this one is serious.
    Please help its Urgent.

We understand. If there's a Nokia Care Point near your location, you may consider bringing the phone in to possibly test it with another battery. In the event it's identified that the issue is with the phone, it has to be evaluated by the authorized technicians.

  • Fail-over options for Standalone Print Server

Our organization recently set up 3 2012 r2 Print Servers to handle 3 separate sites.  Each printer server contains only the printers within the site - which makes each server a standalone print server.  I'm concern with the issue of not
having a fail-over plan in place, in the event one of my server should fail.  Does anyone have any fail-over suggestions.

    Hi Thomas,
If we want to create a clustered printer server, we need to created another print server in the same site.

  • Need guru assistance printing over airport to unsupported printer

OK. I have an HP 3650 attached to an Airport Express. In my home wireless network (powered by Buffalo router) there are several windows machines and one mac mini, all connecting over 802.11g.
I cannot print to this printer using the Mac mini, and I guess that makes sense, it's not supported. But I configured the Airport using the mac, and I can print to that printer wirelessly using my windows machines.
In fact, technically, I can even print from the Mac mini - when I'm printing from Windows XP home in a Parallels session. So it drives me nuts nuts NUTS that I can't print natively from OS X, even using direct IP printing and CUPS drivers and whatnot.
Anybody out there got the elite skills to get this thing working? I just can't bring myself to buy a new printer just because "the world's most advanced operating system" can only print to it when running Microsoft software.
tl;dr - how can I hack my OSX to print natively to my HP 3650 over airport express?
    Thanks in advance
    -Kurt

Have you downloaded the latest drivers from HP? It's a Deskjet correct? There are OSX drivers on HP's support page: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?os=219&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&produc t=304535&lang=en

  • Problem with printing over the shared network printer

I have a very irritating problem.
To describe the situation. I have 2 computers and non of them is mine. First one have Windows Vista, and second one have Windows 8.1. There is also a printer which is connected with usb to the computer with Windows 8.1. I managed to share that printer on
the network, and when I connect to that printer and enter username and password (from Windows 8.1) on the pc that have Windows Vista, I can print without any problem.
The problem start when I restart the computer with Windows Vista. I can't print unless I connect to that printer again and again enter the username and password. Like Windows Vista for some reason is not storing those credentials. It is very irritating to
do that all the time, becase everything worked before like a charm.
Is there something I didn't do about those credentials, or is there some batch script that I could run in startup that will connect Windows Vista PC with that printer without any user input?
    Thank you.

    Hi,
When you restart the Vista, have you checked the credential in credential manager (Control Panel\Credential Manager)? Does it exist? You can clear cached unused credential and manually add the printer Windows Credential in the manager and check if it
    helps.
You can also use a logon script to add the printer automatically every time you logon to the PC, you can refer to thsi example, some content need to be changed depends on your configuration.

  • Printing over a Dot Matrix Printer

    Hi,
I want to do printing on a Dot Matrix Priner. Can any body help me how to perform this task.
    Regards,
    Umar Toseef

    You can either,
    - use the OS drivers using the Java Printing API
    - write the printers codes to is directly using the Java COMMS API
    - buy another printers.
My preference would be for the last one!

  • Enormous frustration over Boot Camp installation of Win 7 64bit

Please help, I am totally frustrated after days and days of trying to install windows 7 on my iMac 11,2  (21.5”, i3, mid 2010).
So, my super drive is dead and currently I don’t have an option to replace it. I recently upgraded my OS to 10.8.3. Because my iMac is having an optical drive, in Boot Camp Assistant there was a grayed out option to create bootable USB drive. I edited info.plist file, so I finally got that option right, but no metter what, I can’t boot Windows 7 64bit installation. I’ve tried numerous ways to do that. I tried standard create USB in Boot Camp assistant, I’ve tried Windows download DVD/USB tool, I’ve tried Rufus, BootInIc, I’ve tried more than 10 different Kingston/Verbatim/No name/Corsair/Patriot USB sticks, I’ve tried several WD/Toshiba/Transcend/Silicon Power external drives formatted both fat32 and NTFS (when formatting external drive in fat32, I was reducing the external drive’s size with diskpart/create partition primary commands in windows. EVERY SINGLE TIME after partitioning the hard drive in Boot Camp Assistant, my computer restarts and there was a “No bootable device” screen. I’ve than tried Refit, there I get an option to boot from external drives/usb sticks, but than after clicking on a boot windows from USB I also get the “no bootable device” screen. I’ve tried naming sticks different (because some people are saying that it must be named WININSTALL, but without any success)
Thank you very very much in advance, currently I don’t know what to do next.

If your iMac came with an internal optical drive you can not use the USB port to install Windows. Get the optical drive fixed.

  • Internet Frustration Over, But At A Little Cost

I've been following these discussion boards regarding the MacBook Pro's spotty internet connection. My MacBook Pro 13" was purchased in July of 2009 and I've had nothing but problems with the connection from day 1. I can surf for a while say 30 minutes or so and I would eventually get the spinning beach ball. I tried just about everything I read on these boards: changing router channels, disk repair, reinstall the operating system, reset PRAM, changing DNS, resetting Safari, use FireFox instead, airport on/off, deleting this file and that file, etc. You get the picture...
I took a chance and bought the Apple Airport Extreme Base and set up a new wireless environment. That was 4 days ago and I've had no problems so far. My family has probably surfed about 25+ hours over the past few days and we've had 0 problems. That's first for us!! The surfing is actually a little faster than my old router (Belkin F5D8233 Wireless N). It even detects the wifi signal fairly quickly upon turning on the computer too.
I know not everyone would be willing to spend almost $200 for another router, but I'm pretty happy that my Mac is finally working well now. I'm sure I've spent more than $200 of my time reading these forums to figure out why my brand new Mac was giving me problems on a very basic function.
Anyways, I just wanted to post a success story and share ONE way of getting it done.
    Good luck.

    JJ,
Me too - I have a late 2009 MBP which had all the disconnecting problems with a Netgear router to which every other computer could connect fine. Drove me crazy, tried every solution suggested short of opening the case and resetting antenna wires. Disconnected every day several times. Even though people said it still happened with them with Airport Extremes, out of desperation I bought a refurb AEBS and it has been fast and flawless since (going on a month). Very happy - set up a 5GHz and a 2.4 GHz, the first for my MBP and the second for my wife's MBP and her iPod touch. No problems, very fast.

  • Venting: Frustration over Transition to DW CS4

Please don't read this if you don't want to read a venting
    post. I've got two gripes:
    1. Am I the only one who feels like Adobe is forcing a new
workflow down my throat instead of providing a product that
    actually helps me work?
I have lots of sites that were built in HTML and continue to
work fine. But when they're opened in CS4, many of the HTML
properties are either hidden or not available. (Background images
have to be inserted in Code View; many HTML positioning elements
are gone, etc.) What about backwards compatibility? Or are Adobe
programmers that dedicated to making me work the way THEY feel I
should? It feels a lot like a government agency.
    2. What's with this W3C thing?
It feels like the Academie Francais having a language
prescribed. ("Microwave" is not a French word so we'll invent a
word and MAKE everyone use it!) Sure, I understand that any
language has to have rules, but why such a forced, drastic change?
Why are <head> </head> tags showing up as invalid? And
what about metatags? Why are these now gone? And who cares about
ALT tags? Sure, they help SEO with important images, but any decent
page has design splices where it shouldn't matter if they're not
named. (By the way, I checked the Wikipedia article on W3C for
errors at W3.org. There are errors.)
I've got a business to run. Programming is only 1 of 20
things I have to do daily. The amount of time it's taking to update
old sites, learn how to work with CSS, AND figure out why IE,
Firefox, Opera, etc. render pages differently (e.g. add spaces in
tables, ignore line returns, etc.) is enough to drive anyone nuts!

If you still use the old ways to build websites, yes it is
    forcing a new
workflow on you. If, on the other hand, you have already
    embraced the
use of CSS, Dreamweaver CS4 makes your workflow easier.
    > What about backwards compatibility?
You can still edit everything in Code view. If you don't like
    that,
explore the Tag Inspector panel. It gives you access to every
    property.
    > Why are <head> </head> tags showing up as
    invalid?
If they're showing up as invalid, it means there's something
    wrong with
your page. Without seeing a page, I can only guess that
    you're using
server-side includes that also contain head tags. An HTML
    page can have
only one pair of html tags, one head, and one body. That
    includes
everything that's in server-side includes. When everything is
    put
together, they should form a single page.
    > And what about
    > metatags? Why are these now gone?
    They're not gone.

They're not tags, but attributes. The alt attribute is
    required for the
benefit of non-visual browsers, such as those used by the
    blind. If the
image serves only a decorative purpose, select <empty>
    from the
Alternate text field. This inserts alt="", which keeps your
    code valid.
    > I've got a business to run. Programming is only 1 of 20

Perhaps now's the time to consider whether you would be
    better off
paying a professional to do the website maintenance while you
    look after
    your main business.
I can understand your frustration. A lot of people want
    Dreamweaver to
do only a few basic tasks. However, website design and
    construction is
becoming increasingly complex. I wouldn't be surprised if
    future
versions of Dreamweaver introduce more changes that are aimed
    at the
professional rather than the casual user.
