Frustrated trying to replace the PSU on my Presario s6150uk

Hi,
I'm hoping somebody here can assist me. I've tried contacting HP Ireland Customer Support but they sent down a blind alley i.e. sent me to a chain of parts suppliers, who in turn sent me to another supplier, who in turn sent me to another supplier...
Eventually sent an email to HP Customer Support UK, who forwarded my email to another department, who then forwarded my email to another department, who then forwarded my email to another department, who eventually provided me with links to the original site that sent me to the chain of generic PSU suppliers, who had, (as you know) sent me to another supplier...
At this stage I'm thinking of burning the unit in some sort of ceremonial fire!!!!
The Power Supply Unit in my Compaq Presario s6150uk has stopped working. Details Below.

I've already tried to replace the part with an Octigen 300w generic PSU which I purchased on Amazon but it did'nt work with it despite the fact that appeared almost identical in specification.
Can anyone here offer advice on where I can obtain a suitable replacement ?

Hi,
I don't think that you need some special PSU. It's a desktop so you may use a PSU with the same specs or better for a further hw upgrade etc.. Does the PSU work when you plug it to a socket and turn on?? I mean, is there any sign of power in??

Hello Mike.. Yes I cracked open my T.C and changed the 500Gb drive it came with and swapped it with the Seagate 7200.11 1TB SATA Hard Disk Drive 32MB Cache.. It was a breeze to do and I didn't find any difficulty at all with the swap now I have a spare 500 Sata drive which I can replace in my computer as that particular hard drive is now 7 years old and needs upgrading anyways.. The only problem I encountered was the rubber part the glue underneath kinda went lumpy in places then when you put the rubber back it was all lumpy underneath and showed through the rubber but I got all that sorted and removed the glue lumps now it is smooth, the rubber mat can be removed multiple times and the glue is still strong enough not to let go now with the added heat it is stuck fast and no problems at all.. If your thinking of doing this then go ahead it isn't any more complicated than replacing the hard drive in your desktop computer.. Oh when you remove the rubber mat you will find 10 small screws as well there is a fan attached to the motherboard but this I removed carefully then I was able to lift the base plate clear until the old and new hard drives were replaced..
Hope this gives you some encouragement to do a retrofit yourself, but to all those crying about warranty issues, don't worry as hard drives and wireless cards are usually bullet proof and are the last things to fail so i'm not particularally worried anyways..

Trying to replace the Keyboard for HP Pavilion DV7-3180us. Need part number & compatible parts.

I have a HP Pavilion DV7-3180us laptop. I have to replace the Keyboard because I have about 7 missing keys. I have been looking for a good replacement but I want to ensure that I am getting the lowest price and the correct part. I don't have a lot to spend on it but it looks cheaper or about the same price, to buy the whole keyboard rather than the seperate keys. Is this keyboard compatible with other keyboards? This would give me more options to find one in stock and a reasonable price. Also, need a new AC Adapter charger. I have seen it listed with 3 different watts 65w, 90w, & 120w. Is this accurate? I find the parts listed under my computer manufacturer number but I am skeptical that it is correct. I have seen some reviews where people say that the keyboard replacement listed for DV7-3180us did not fit. Anyone with any help to make this easier I would very much appreciate. Thanks.

My advice is to read chapter 3 of the dv7 service manual below, and cross reference the part numbers or only buy the parts you need with the HP part numbers.

Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for this price unless the iPod was previously worked on by other than Apple.. They do not fix yours.

Note: Depending on your operating system, you may only have one of the listed paths.
Uninstall and reinstall iTunes
1. Uninstall iTunes and all of its related components.
2. Reboot your computer. If you can't uninstall a piece of Apple software, try using the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility.

Problems when trying to replace the base table of an own Business Object

Dear experts,
some time ago we created two own (not inherited) Business Ojects for use
in workflow scenarios. Now we came into the situation that for organizational
reasons we wanted to exchange the base tables of both the objects.
The fields and keys in the new tables are all the same than in the old ones,
basically just the table names have changed.
The frustrating result of trying to do so are two inconsitent Business objects
that cannot be activated/generated any more with several errors that I cannot
get rid off.
Does anybody have experience with this kind of change in a BO ?
Am I trying that in vain ? Do I have to create them both entirely new?
Please help.

thanks for the prompt answer.
The first error is a syntax error concerning the unexpected end of a statement
with "LIKE". It occurred in the following generated sourcecode-section after
the generation and it is generated this way again and again (I already tried
to complete it manually according to the way it was before):
BEGIN_DATA OBJECT. " Do not change.. DATA is generated
" end of private,
BEGIN OF KEY,
JOURNALNUMBER LIKE /HOAG/P_DATJOURN-JOURNALNR,
END OF KEY,
_ LIKE.
END_DATA OBJECT. " Do not change.. DATA is generated
The second error points to the table name in the statement
get_table_property /hoag/p_datjourn.
saying "The table name /hoag/p_datjourn is implemented but not defined".
The third error comes up with a popup (again and again and again) saying
"The table is not implemented yet. Do you want a sourcecode sample to be
created for the missing part?". I've alread answered that with "Yes" for a
couple of times without anything being changed.

P.S.: the messages may actually read a bit different in english because I just

I was replacing my iphone 4 home button and while i was trying to take the ribbon off i pulled too hard and the part where you connect it broke so now i cant put it on, will i be able to get a replacement or not?

So I opened my whole iPhone 4 up and I was trying to replace the home button as it got worn out so when I tried taking the ribbon off, I pulled a bit too hard and then the whole thing just broke so now I cant even connect the ribbon anymore. So is there a way that I could replace it or not?

No one here works for or represents Apple, thus no one here can definitively answer your question. Out of warranty replacements require the phone, you're replacing, be in one piece. Generally, when you perform surgery yourself, you void the ability to take advantage of an out of warranty replacement.
Put everything back together, make an appointment at an Apple store & hope for the best.

I have a clickfree backup drive and don't know how to restore my previous bookmarks? I tried to copy the places.sqlite file from the backup drive to my compute

I have a clickfree backup drive and my computer crashed. I restored it to factory settings and reinstalled Firefox but cannot figure out how to get my old bookmarks back. I tried to replace the new places.sqlite file with the one I had on my backup drive but still got nothing? I tried to use the restore option but it won't take the old places.sqlite file. Is there anyway to get my old bookmarks? I'm really not a techy person.....

   In the customised code call is there for the bapi function module 'BAPII_PO_CREATE'.
   Iam trying to replace the call with the code that calls function module 'BAPI_PO_CREATE1'.
   Please help me about what changes I needed to do in the code . As there is much mismatch in the import and export parameters
and tables in both the function modules.

you can use : BAPI =>    BAPI_PO_CREATE with suitable Document Type ( Stock trasnfert : STO )
IF u want to auto po must be created after each delivry in this case you need to use BADI
'MB_MIGO_BADI; In This BAPI There is method : POST_DOCUMENT
In this method u can write code for Auto PO Creation by using BAPI .

How to replace the hardwired certificate in the DocSign example

I am trying to replace the hardwired John Doe certificate in the DocSign example with my own. I have created my own certificate (pfx file); when I use this certificate instead of the hardwired one I receive an error. Obviously I am not doing it right...
Should I hash the document, encrypt it with the private key, BER encode it and put that result into the hardwired variable?
Any advice would be appreciated.

I need your help regarding replacing the text with some other text. I am trying to replace the text '\\' with '\'. But i am not able to get the correct result.
I am having string value like '\\Computername\Path\comp_name\\domain\\location' i want to replace the text '\\' with '\' only for 2nd and 3rd occurance.

I would like to replace the file dialog box with a programmable dialog box, that generates its selections from Database Information

Where would be the best place to achieve this?
I have been thinking about these options:
- Modification of the Operator Interface.
- Modification of the Sequence Model.
- Use callbacks to modify the sequence model.
- Use callbacks to modify the Engine (ie the Auto.seq example)
Or combinations of the above.
The biggest requirement I have in developing this project is in the reuse of code and I believe that callbacks in the seq would be the way to achieve this.
But I am not familiar with the usage of callbacks in teststand (yet) and I don't know where to look for information/examples on what I can do with them.
Has anybody done anythin

I am trying to replace the operators interface's sequence file dialog box. I am also trying to hide the standard operators interface.
What I am after is to replicate a user experience!
Teststand is being used to replace an ATE written in LV where each of the tests are hardcoded in. The user selected the product and test types from a button based dialog boxes.
I am using TS to overcome all of the limitations of the original ATE, but one of the requirements is the system has to have the same look and feel of the original.
I originally though that I would have to modify an operators interface, but I would prefer not too, and would rather change the process models and use engine and station callbacks.
If I have to change an operatos interface, I would pre
fer if the changes didn't affect the normal running of standard TS sequences.
I have attached the process model, i am trying to achieve, (its in Visio).
