Frustrated with trial down load process...

I have tried to load Captivate 6 trail version since 10/27/12 and even received an email stating the trail period already started. I never even down loaded the application. I have a MAC OSX 6.8 version.
First I tried down loading with Akami and next was sent to my email by a technician with an install link. When I tried using the URL link it stated permission denied. I'm frustrated please help. I need the trail version to determine if I will purchase Captivate 6.

Appreciate your help Ian and others. I have since uninstalled FCS and reinstalled FCXP only to get the same thing. Loading FCXP stalls at "Looking for Compressor Support". When I first downloaded FCXP from the App store I didn't notice that FCS was being placed in it's own folder. It's not something I did manually. Although moved into it's own folder with FCXP on the same drive. I was not able to open FCS apps. They would load and then "quit unexpectantly". They opened just fine before I downloaded FCXP. Do I need to purchase Compressor so that FCXP recognizes it? It seems this is where it stalls. It doesn't explain however why my computer "FREEZES" while doing this. I am in the process of re-installing Lion to see if this helps, otherwise I am at a complete loss.

I installed Photoshop CS3 Trial and whenever I run it and choose to begin my trial period I get the following error message:
"Problem with Trial - problem loading trial period for Adobe Photoshop CS3".
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and even ran the Adobe CS3Clean Script but nothing seems to help.
I should note I never installed any earlier version of Photoshop on my system (I use a fresh copy of Windows XP with only a few programs installed).
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

i had the trial of photoshop on and the trial has run out my friend has given me a disk with adobe photoshop on and i cant do it beacause of the regestry code the photoshop puts in after the trial has ended to tell my pc that i cant have photoshop on my computer again :(:( now i have herd that you can remove the codes but it is quite hard well iam willing for this challenge and if anyone could help me i would reall welcome your help or if anybody has got the link to a tutorial to tell me hoe to do it i would aprecitae that to thank you all very much and post bak soon please

If the above table doesnot have all the data, try this table: RSREQDONE.
Any loads in BW will have to have an entry in this table including LOGDPID = InfoPackage.
It has times in UTC, loacal time and SLoad Status.

What Mac model do you have? You might be able to upgrade the OS to Tiger 10.4 or Leopard 10.5.
Even browsers for Tiger 10.4 will get the update message.
You could try a newer browser than Safari, which is obsolete, by downloading Firefox v2.0.0.20 at http://www.oldapps.com/mac/firefox.php

Problems with a down load

hi.
Im having problems with a download of photoshop cs4 that I purchased online. It downloaded fine and I followed the instructions to the letter. however when I try to open the application I get a message that reads " application will not open because it is not supported on this achitecture." I checked the down load and it is for MAC and I have the correct system requirements!
Please Help

Sounds like you need to call Adobe support and ask them what's going on. After all, you just paid them a bunch of money and haven't gotten what you paid for yet!

Is your operating system Vista or XP if is Vista try this:
Hoyle Online can be played on Vista, but wonplay must be installed in the Public directory.
Here are the basic instructions.
The wonplay.exe must be installed in the C:\Users\Public\ directory of Vista.
Download the wonplay.exe here, saving it to your desktop.

Double click to install the wonplay.exe
When the box opens asking where you wish to install it to, click Browse and navigate to the C:\Users\Public\ this is where you should install Wonplay to.
Once it installs, Go to the C:\Users\Public\wonplay directory, right click on Wonplay.exe and choose Run as Administrator.
When you launch a game, you may have to allow permissions the first time.

but when i try and download rim or 3rd part app i get a message saying
the IT policy dose not allow downloading third-pary applications
BUT I DO NOT HAVE AN IT DEPARTMENT

ok sounds like your bb used to be on a BES
goto 'options' and 'about' check what version of software is on your device... 3rd line down v4.x.x.x
you will need to download and install Desktop Manager 4.7
DTM w/ Media Manager or DTM w/o Media Manager
make a backup
click on 'start' and 'run'
type in 'cmd'
in the black screen type "cd c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader" no quotes and press 'enter'
you will then be in that directory
next type "loader.exe /resettofactory" no quotes and press 'enter'
after the appload resets your device and reboots
you can go back and check to see if the IT Policy has been removed
then you can restore your backup

Issue with shutting down all processes for patch install

I have been trying to install patch 6032088 on Win XP. I have shutdown my Oracle instance, processes and listeners. However, when I come to install the patch it fails because it cannot overwrite the oci.dll. This is due to the fact that a process is still using the file. How can I make sure all processes have stopped?

In my case, when the Microsoft service starts up, they take this lock on the oci.dll in the database home. they must have found it in the path and gotten it first.
Here is a note that discusses it happening. I am not sure which service starts up this msft com thing, but I'll shut some down and see when it stops happening.

it breaks patching/provisioning as well. i contemplated renaming it, or removing the home from the patch.. seems like renaming will be easier. how annoying.

How can I reinstall 5.1 on my 3gs. I have a problem with the down load ?

After I installed the update the lock screen has the camera icon on it but when I touch it it bounces up and back down and wont open the camera..

There is nothing wrong with the download. Instead of pressing the camera icon, push it up/flick it and you will see the camera app open.

If you downloaded it on your Mac then it should be in the Movies section of your iTunes library - is there a 'rentals' tab on that screen ?

Nobody can know. Resolving technical problems requires hard technical facts and so far you are merely venting your frustration and haven't told us anything about your system or otehr details that may be relevant. If the download doesn#t work using the download manager, try this:

Why did a ton of adware come with your Firefox down load for your browser? It corrupted my computer and crashed it several times.

I down loaded firefox from your site and all of a sudden all this adware popped up on my computer. I thought I visited a bad site for a minute and tried figuring it out from there. I was wrong. It came with your down load for firefox. Did you intentionally add that to your browser? Or was your site hacked? Adware Linksy was what I found and it went ape on my computer too. I used to use Firefox because I loved the versatility of it. Now I have to use Chrome. I am not happy. Firefox was what I recommended to everyone and recently everyone I know has been getting the same issues.
Is there a reason for all this?

The download link there should not be loaded with adware. If you do not download from the official site, some sites will package Firefox with PUP (potentially unwanted programs).
