Fsb from 333 to 400

If I want to raise the fsb on my P35 Platinum from 333 to 400, will the P35 automatically also raise the vcore or will i have to do it manually?
And how far must I raise the vcore to keep him stable?
I have a E8500 cooled with a 9700LED.
Thanks

Yes!

'til it is stable! We don't have crystal balls so nobody can tell you, you have to find out on your own. First try without, if it is unstable raise vcore in small steps 'til it is stable. Watch the temps! More vcore means a lot more heat.

  • Ram mhz 333 to 400 prob

    Hello all,
I'm still a bit new to all this so please be patient. I recently decided to try and up my ram setting from 333MHz to 400. Everything seemed fine. I tested with memtest86 for 18 hrs with no errors and thought that was easy!. I then tried Prime 95 but it stopped after 2 hrs .
Before the memory speed change I had tested Prime95 (Priority10) for 20 hrs with no problems. My current settings are 191fsb X 13, (PC2700 Ram) and I have been using this setup for 2 or 3 months now. My temps are 45 normal load and 48 at max.
Can anyone tell me why memtest86 would not find any problems but Prime 95 did?
    Thanks

    Thanks for all your replies.
I increased the voltage on the ram as Sharp suggested and managed to get 14hrs 2mins out of torture test before getting an error. So I suppose now I'm going to take Wonkanoby's advice and back off a little.
    Thanks again for helping out
    Ohh .. 1 last question!
Wonkanoby said 382 is not bad for 333 ram, but when I set the ram speed to auto (in bios) it shows 333MHz while booting. Doesn't that mean that the ram is running independantly at 333 and not at 382 like the fsb?

  • K7N2G 6570: Can it run XP3000+ 400 FSB with External VGA & 400 RAM

    K7N2G 6570: Can it run XP3000+ 400 FSB with External VGA & 400 RAM
I have a K7N2G 6570. I am running an AGP graphics card. I have 400 FSB ram. Can I run the XP 3000 + with the 400 FSB?
I read similar posts but none really answer if this is a runnable scenario. They only reference that the official spec is 333 with the built in graphics.
    Help is appreciated!
    Thanks!

According to this link about the K7N2G, It will suopport a 400fsb cpu by using an external video card.

  • Unable to extract data from an AS/400 system.

    Hello experts.
We are trying to extract data from an AS/400 system but not having any success until now.
I´ll write down you the stepts that we have followed until now:
1.- Create a DB Connect between both systems
2.- Create a Source System from AS400 in the workbench under DB Connect Directory
3.- Generate datasources from tebles specified in the schema of the connection
    break point -
At this point, we had a problem with some tables with at least one fieldname containing character "Ñ".
After asking some possible solutions to SAP, the told us this is not supported, as the system can´t have any object with character "Ñ", so the transfer structure was unable to activate with this fields in the datasource.
--- end of brek point --
4.- After those issues, we´ve decided to implement, in another schema, views from those tables which had the fieldnames with that character "Ñ", changing them to an "N".
5.- We´ve created another source system with that schema, and user than can see that schema.
6.- To be able to see those views, in transaction RSDBC, we had to deactivate the two checkboxes in the first window ( Choose tables and Choose views) .
7.- Right afeter, we could generate correctly the datasources from this logical tables.
8.- We have designed  the hole dataflow for this datasources and everithing went rigth.
9.- But wen we tried to execute the infopackage to extract data from those logic tables, we cannot get any registers. Acctualy the charge remains yellow after the job have finished.
Please, I would appreciate any help you could give us on this problem.
    Thank you very much
    Regards
    Joaquin

I´d like ti add something to this thread, and maybe clarify a littel bit the question.
The only way that the BW system recognizes those logical tables, through transaction RSDBC is checking out the two boxes on this transaction, "Select Tables" and "Select Views".
I don´t know haw these logical tables have been created, bus does this mean that the are not neither tables or views as BW understand them.
Please, if someone knows anythin about this, answer to this thread.
    Thank you very much.

    Hi VKMP,
As well as reading the documentation thoroughly the following note available in My Oracle Support may be useful -
Problem To Migrate Table With Table Type P From DB/AS400 With OMWB (Doc ID 466271.1)
as OMWB does not support migrating physical files.

  • 333 Vs 400

Didn't read far enough when I bought my Memory and got 2 gig of CorsairTwinex 4400.  Which would be most preferred.  Run 1 Gig at 400 Dual  which it will do fine or run 2 gig at 333 runs very stable either way, haven't tried to Oc.
Like some opinions on this.  Also running 4 Wd Raptors 0+1 Stripe.

Download a copy of cpu-z. http://www.cpuid.com/ When you push the fsb past 210, you may find your system no longer detects your array on channel's 1&2. Move the bus back at this point and all should be well.
We downloaded the program and it showed that we were running what the Bios was telling us. Msi Tech support said that it was possible to run with all 4 dbl sided but not all processors and memory combos would work. We tweaked the system out a little and running very stable at 2612 didn't even try any further.  I appreciate your help.

  • VARBINARY problems in OBIEE 11g importing data from DB2 AS/400 V6R1

    Hi all,
    I have set up a connection between OBIEE 11g version 11.1.1.6.0 and DB2 AS/400 V6R1.
It is working fine for most of the data types, but we have the following cast sentence in a view:
    CAST(
    CASE WHEN A.RCATLY IN ( 1250 , 1000 ) THEN F.DESCRIPTION3 ELSE
CASE WHEN A.RCATLY=12 THEN 'AUM' ELSE
CASE WHEN F.KEYASL3='AL_EXCLUDED' THEN 'Other open items' ELSE
'AUM' END END END AS CHAR(50)) AS POS_CAT,
CAST(CASE WHEN F.DESCRIPTION3 IS NULL THEN 'Securities' ELSE F.DESCRIPTION3
    END AS CHAR(50)) AS POS_DESCR
We are importing this view into OBIEE 11.1.1.6, the fileds POS_CAT and POS_DESCR are coming as BINARY, we also have tried to cast them to VARCHAR, they come as VARBINARY instead.
When we try to see the fields in a report we are getting the error below:
    Error Codes: OAMP2OPY:Q4NU7XSN
Invalid Handle Of 'const saw::ExpressionBase*' Exception
I have tried to cast this fileds to VARCHAR in administration, no luck, error below:

Thanks for your quick response, I have tried to change it in the phisycal layer, to CHAR, VARCHAR, same error, it didn't work.

  • Error retrieving data in Oracle BI 11g from DB2 AS/400

    Hello everybody,
In my Oracle BI 11g environment I want to have data coming from a DB2 AS/400 database. Retrieving the tables from the database in BI Administration and building the repository works fine. But as soon as I want to see the data (from the BI Administration or BI Answers) I get the following error (in BI Answers):
    +Description: System.Data.Odbc.OdbcException: ERROR [08S01] [IBM][iSeries Access ODBC Driver]Communication link failure. comm rc=11004 - CWBCO1011 - Remote port could not be resolved+
I tried some different settings (ODBC Basis, ODBC Advanced and AS/400) as a databasetype and different type of connections (ODBC 2.0 and ODBC 3.5) in the connection pool. But non of the settings seems to solve the problem.
When I try to query the database using another tool, Oracle Interactive Reporting, everything works fine as long as I use ODBC as both database- and connectiontype.
Does anybode got an idea how this can be solved/where to look for a solution?
    Thanks in advance!
    With regards,
    Dennis de Kock

    Hi Dennis,
We have used default ODBC 3.5 to connect DB2 AS400 iseries but we would like to know from Oracle what is the certified client connectivity software to use.
Afte Opening SR with Oracle they have mentioned that Oracle has not tested and it is not a certified database to support as per SRSP document.
Please let me know your feedback if you have contacted Oracle on this ?
    Thanks

  • Running Logic 9 + Leopard from External FW 400 drive: good idea?

    Hi All,
I'd like to take the plunge to Logic 9 and figured I'd set up a dedicated external hard drive with just the system and Logic on it. This is for a G5 Quad running 10.5.8.
The idea would be the hard drive and system install would remain "pure" for Logic.
However, the drive would be attached via Firewire 400 rather than internal SATA.
Does the drawback of an external drive over firewire 400 running both the system and Logic outweigh the benefit of booting from a dedicated Logic drive?
(Want to get started on Logic 9 but don't want to put too much money into my G5 since I'd rather put any new computer money towards a new, intel machine).
    Just a thought.
    Thanks for any advice.

I understand you don't want to spend money on your G5, but maybe consider buying a new drive and partitioning it so that it's a dual boot system - Logic 9 on one, everything else on the other, which you've cloned from your existing drive. That leaves your other internal bay for an audio drive.
HDs are so cheap these days - I just bought some 1TB Barracudas for under $100 each, and it won't be wasted - you can plop it into your new machine when you get it.

  • Lombard 333 to 400

Hello all. I have a Lombard 333 MHz that I would like to upgrade to a 400 MHz. My question is, can a Pismo 400 MHz processor work in a Lombard? I think I have seen postings that such a combination will not work and I would need a Lombard 400 MHz chip to successfully perform the upgrade. Does anyone out there know about this? Thanks in advance. John

The Pismo has a Firewire controller on the Logicboard, which the Lombard does not. And the Lombard has a SCSI controller which the Pismo does not. Whether this affects the cooling of the processor on the logicboard, I don't know, but since the various ports different by the logicboard, and shifting the logicboards would really be the only way of doing this, I would not try it.

  • K8NGM-V Memory shows at 333, not 400

My K8NGM-V, with athlon 64 3000, ati radeon x1550 PCI-E 512 ddr2, Kingston hyperX (2 sticks) 512mb 3200, LAtest bios on motherboard, with onboard video disabled.  Shows my memory to be "DRAM 333mhz" and not 400mhz.  Any idea how to fix this?  I dont know all the setting to properly configure the memory on the bios myself, but when i do put it to 200, it still boots as 333
    Any help is appreciated!

Here are the posts - this may not mean anything, but i put in each stick seperately and they still run at 333mhz individually. Plus i have used this memory in the past with another msi (fsb-neo) board and it ran at 400mhz.

  • Will cdrom drive from Satellite Pro 400 fit a Satellite Pro 4300 laptop

Can anyone tell me if a cdrom drive from a Satellite Pro 400 fit inside a Satellite Pro 4300 laptop. I do not have any serial numbers of either cdrom, sorry

    Hi Tony
The first one is about 11 years old and the second one about six years old. I really dont believe that you can use it. In my opinion you should use the same drive.

  • Sudden slowdown from 4Mbps to 400 Kbps affecting...

Homehub reports connected at 5664Kbps as it has for a year or so. Normal throughput about 4Mbps. IP Profile 4500Kbps
Three days ago sudden drop in delivered throughput to 380Kbps. Appears to be affecting several people in the village.
Taken 48hr so far to get through the numpty layer although fault accepted on Weds.
Feeble alternate route from exchange to core routers? Planned grab of bandwidth robbing Peter to pay Paul*? Finger trouble?
(* I remember what BT used to do with inactive ISDN backup connections, but I though those days were over).

    Test 2:
Download speedachieved during the test was - 154 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 600-7150 Kbps.
IP Profile for your line is - 4500 Kbps
17 people in village have reported problems. Did contact mods yesterday. Fault reopened with call centre.
Based on the speed early AM, I'm guessing path from exchange to wherever it goes next - feels like we're all sharing about 2Mbps but I didn't think there were any circuits that slow these days.
Don't know enough about BT to know who claimed to have resolved it.

  • Retrieving Job Status from the AS/400 using JTOpen

    Hi ,
I am using a program to retrieve job status (i.e. whether a job is in delay wait or message wait using the
    if (job.getStatus.equalsIgnoreCase(job.ACTIVE_JOB_STATUS_WAIT_DELAY)
But however , even when the Job is in DLYW (Delay Wait) status on the AS400 , while retrieving it by System.out.println(job.getStatus()) , it says that the job is in OUTQ. or the job is ACTIVE, this is not the case , what could have possibly gone wrong ??
    serverJobList.setUser("TDBCHP");
    serverJobList.setName("TDC2OPRC);
    Enumeration jobEnum=serverJobList.getJobs();
    for (int j=0;jobEnum.hasMoreElements();j++){
    currentJob = (Job) jobEnum.nextElement();
    System.out.println(currentJob.getStatus());
    } // for loop
This returns *OUTQ even when the Job is in DLYW status.
    Any ideas ??
