fscommand FullScreen is STRICTLY for desktop use and has no
apply to browser.
In browser you need to use old, regular Javascript full
screen function.

  • Fscommand "allowscale" not working in Flash 9?

    I'm trying to export a standalone projector to the Flash 9
    format.
    I'm using these lines in the beginning of the file...
    fscommand("fullscreen", "true");
    fscommand("allowscale", "false");
    fscommand("showmenu", "false");
    If I export to Flash 8, it works as intended. But when I
    export to a Flash 9 projector, the "allowscale" setting is ignored.
    The other two fscommands work in 9, however.
    Any ideas? It's not that I need any Flash 9 specific
    features, I just thought I might export to the latest format when
    I'm making a standalone projector. And I really need it to be 1:1
    scale regardless of screen resolution, the presentation isn't built
    for scaling.

    If your Flash 9 movie is using AS3, you have to use
    navigateToURL() instead of getURL().

  • Fscommand is not working when opening PDF document in browser with Acrobat 9, why?

    We embedded a flash application in PDF using screen annotation. In the flash we use fscommand to call methods available in AcroJS.  In acrobat reader 9, if we view the document in Internet Explorer, we receive a security sandbox violation message saying that it cannot make fscommand calls to <unknown> (allowScriptAccess is ). But when we open the document in Firefox, it works fine.

    Have a read of this article on the web:
    http://www.actionscript.org/resources/articles/99/1/FS-Command-JavaScript-Library/Page1.ht ml
    The part that caught my eye was the following:
    "...These methods will not work with Internet Explorer on Macs. This lack of functionality is a brower issue with communication with plugins and cannot be resolved by anyone except MicroSoft. "
    I wonder if the same is true for Windows?

  • Standalone player fullscreen not working on MS Vista

    Hi!
    I made fullscreen standalone publish with AS2, Flash Player
    9. Everything works fine on MS XP. But on MS Vista when you go
    fullscreen, everything you can see is color of background (all
    other content disappears).
    I tried AS 2 and AS 3, dowloaded newest flash players, etc.
    After some tests I noticed that when I disable "hardware
    acceleration" on flash player menu it works fine on Vista too.
    Can anyone help me ?
    Meybe someone know the way to turn off hardware acceleration
    with Action Script?
    UPDATE:
    I downloaded "flash_player_update6_flash9" package,
    uinstalled flash player, install player/copy files form package and
    it works fine now on Vista OS.
    Peter

    If you right mouse click on IE icon and choose "Run as
    administrator" that should allow you to run the flash on the web
    site. Not a nice solution, but should get you going until Adobe fix
    the problem.
    Note: You'll need to do this everytime you open up the
    browser if you're planing on running flash. If you get sick of this
    you can right mouse click on the IE icon and choose "properties"
    and "advance" and check the "Run as administrator" checkbox. The
    issue then is Vista's UAC will pop-up everytime you open IE. Again
    not a nice solution.
    I hope Adobe fix this shortly.

  • Flash fullscreen not working properly

    When I click the fullscreen button on flash video players (YouTube, vimeo, etc), most of the time it fullscreens for a split second and then exits fullscreen. I have to spam the button really fast and get lucky for the fullscreen mode to "stick." Any ideas?
    I've had this problem for a while now, any help is appreciated!

    I have the same problem. The first flash fullscreen works, in a firefox or chromium session. Then, if I try again to watch a flash video in fullscreen, it goes fullscreen for a second then the webpage is back with the video freezing. The videoplayback is continuing in another layer, I can hear the sound. If I click on the top of the window, the video continue embedded.
    If have extra/flashplugin
    and
    the content of /etc/adobe/mms.cfg
    # Adobe player settings
    AVHardwareDisable = 0
    FullScreenDisable = 0
    LocalFileReadDisable = 1
    FileDownloadDisable = 1
    FileUploadDisable = 1
    LocalStorageLimit = 1
    ThirdPartyStorage = 1
    AssetCacheSize = 10
    AutoUpdateDisable = 1
    LegacyDomainMatching = 0
    LocalFileLegacyAction = 0
    AllowUserLocalTrust = 0
    # DisableSockets = 1
    OverrideGPUValidation = 1
    EnableLinuxHWVideoDecode=1
    I try many parameter combinations without success.

  • Aperture fullscreen not working with external display

    Hi,
    I have a Macbook Pro, however when I am using Aperture and have my 23" display connected, it won't let me use fullscreen mode on the display even though it has the Aperture window there. The display simply become black and Aperture starts up fullscreen mode on my Macbook display instead.
    Why is this? How can I get Aperture to do fullscreen on my external display?
    Thanks!

    To choose what the secondary monitor will display you have to click on the button on the bottom left of the screen (with a monitor on it).
    Unfortunately Aperture won't allow you to choose which is your primary or secondary display, you'll have to do it in System Preferences - Displays, then in the arrangement section drag the top bar from one to the other. That will make your external monitor primary for all the applications.

  • Fullscreen not working in Lion (OSX 10.7.2)

    Hi;
    I have a small desktop AIR app that has been set to fullscreen (StageDisplayState.FULL_SCREEN_INTERACTIVE). The app runs perfectly with no issues on a Macbook Pro running Snow Leopard OSX v10.6.8. When I install/run the app on a newer Macbook Pro running Lion v10.7.2 - the stage is blank.... unless I hit the 'ESC' key to exit fullscreen then all of the assets appear on stage again and the app then functions as it should (except that it is no longer running in full screen).
    Any ideas? Is this related to the AIR/Lion crashing issues?
    Thank you!

    The only thing I've seen with 10.7.2 is an issue with older versions of the runtime where the application window stays in front of the fullscreen stage.  This should have been fixed in 3.1.  Can you give this a try with our beta AIR 3.2 release?  If you still see the issue, please email me your app (or a sample app) so I can test it internally.  You can contact me at [email protected]
    Thanks,
    Chris

  • Mac OS apps won't go fullscreen and notification center not working

    Hi everyone,
    I'm on Mac OS 10.8.2, and lately my apps simply won't go full screen (e,g, safari or any other app that uses native OS X full screen), and now i've just realized that notification center doesn't show either (neither if a click on the top right button nor swipe with two fingers), although notifications keep poping up.
    Does anyone have any idea what could be happening?

    i'm using 10.4.7, dual 2.5g, 3g ram - flash 8 professional
    i just found a work around using a combo of threads. i got it
    working on a new empty file and on my current working file.
    make a 3 frame movie.
    don't put anything in the first two frames except this
    actionscripting:
    in frame 1, put fscommand("fullscreen", "true");
    in frame 2, put fscommand("fullscreen", "false");
    in frame 3, put fscommand("fullscreen", "true");
    and then continue on w/ the rest of your actionscripting in
    this frame and on...
    placing the three toggling fscommands all in the same frame
    did not seem to provide enough time for flash to react.
    i realize this is ugly w/ the flashing notfull/fullscreen. i
    hate writing code and building files like this... but it does work.
    the flashing doesn't really show up on a PC either, which is nice.

  • FLASH PLAYER 10.3.183.7  DOES NOT WORK IN FULLSCREEN

    FAO:  Mr CHRIS CAMPBELL
    Hello Chris
    You're probably getting this from all angles but the newest update to Flash Player  (10.3.183.7)   JUST DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY.
    I keep my browsers up to date and as of today (5 Sept 2011)  Flash  WORKS in "small pane in browser" mode (for example, in Youtube)  BUT GOES BLANK AS SOON AS FULLSCREENED.
    Note that overlay captions and the pause / play graphics DO all work - it is only the video decompression that doesn't - leave screen blank and black.
    This is BOTH in FireFox 7.0  and in latest Google Chrome:  I have carefully uninstalled & replaced Flash form the links you posted here and IT STILL DOES NOT WORK in fullscreen.
    You really should NOT release new version of auto-updating code like this that are not properly tested:  this has mucked up video viewing for millions of people needlessly.
    Is it because of the new accelerator support ?   who knows.    This is a mid-life Toshiba Satellite Pro   (we don't all go out and buy new PCs every ten weeks like you developers do)  and it has a P4 and standard onboard Intel 82852 graphics: perfectly fine up to last week.     But it has 64MB of graphics space and I see that 10.3.183.7  now "requires"   128MB ?       You just cannot make assumptions like that :  I bet there are  50 million plus PCs out there with 64MB (or less) VGA RAM.
    Adobe is a lovely product,  but this is a complete and utter  bal*ls-up  as we in the UK call it:      please excuse my anglo-saxon directness.    Sort it out, please.

    Hi Chris
    Thanks for your rapid feedback.
    YES  -  you are right  - turning off hardware accelerate FIXES it on this machine.
    (For anyone else trying this,  note that if your PC is busy you may not be able to get the Right-click menu to work while the video is displaying,  so PAUSE it first,  then right click in the pane,   choose "Settings",  and UNtick the hardware acceleration tickbox.  Then unpause, and bob's your uncle.)
    Interesting:  Chris -  I also notice that   Not All Videos Do it     -  some are fine (adverts seem to be,  on youtube)  -  but this (below) is an example of the one which will not fullscreen with the HW acceleration on  (nice watching, too  :-)
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lb3VWZj_I6g&list=PL0F01AFE18471E7B8&index=1
    NB  Might it have anything to do with the transcoding YouTube are supposedly doing,  over to VP8 ?     I wonder if they change the content of the stream,  when you choose fullscreen perhaps ?   And so perhaps confusing the HW accelerator which may not know VP8 ?
    Thanks again for rapid response.   GOOD LUCK ALL

  • My own built fullscreen mode flv player is not working in Mac OS

    I built a flv player, it is just a normal video player with a
    fullscreen mode.
    The video player is work fine in Window IE, FF, and Safari.
    But not not working in Mac OS X, leopard & tiger &
    May I know what might cause this problem?
    I m usng action script 3, flash cs3 & all my browsers
    already upgrade to latest version of Flash Player.
    Help!!!

    I am running Mac OS X 10.10.1 Yosemite and iPhoto Version 9.6 (910.29). Automatic updates in the Mac App Store is turned on for my iMac and it shows no updates available. I was told directly by Apple Support on the date that I wrote this article (Nov 8, 2014) that there were no Canon drivers and photo transfer software that worked with Yosemite. I was told by Canon that the workaround was to change the communication method from Normal to PTP on the camera, which did provide a solution. At that time I was running Mac OS X 10.10 (because the 10.10.1 update was not yet available) and the most up-to-date version of iPhoto for Mac OS X 10.10 that was available at that time, at least per the Mac App Store. I was told by Canon that the workaround was to change the communication method from Normal to PTP on the camera, which did provide a solution.
    With the Mac OS X 10.10.1 update if the camera is in PTP communications mode the thumbnails now appear in the Import screen in iPhoto almost immediately. If the camera is returned to Normal communications mode; however, it takes forever for the thumbnails to appear. I have been waiting 10 minutes and iPhoto has generated only 14 thumbnails. So it appears that there is still something not working properly between the original Canon EOS Digital Rebel and Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10.1 when the communications mode on the camera is set to Normal.

  • Buttons not working in fullscreen mode

    Hi everyone,
         I have a site where our Flash content can be sent to fullscreen by the user. When in fullscreen mode, in some computers the buttons within the content and the mouse stop working completely. It still exits from fullscreen by clicking the escape buttons.
    I have a Win XP computer where it works in Firefox and IE but won't work within Chrome. They both have the latest player installed.
    I have a Windows Vista where it does not work in any browser.
    On a Linux box (version 10,1,53,64) it works on any browser.
    On another Win XP computer with version 10.0.45.2 it works with any browsers.
    On some Macs it works, on some it doesn't.
    The swf file was produced with Flash CS3.
    Any ideas?

    For that matter, the "return to menu" which is set to a Main button type, isn't working either.  that is one of the three.  After i had removed the damaged button and copied it from another it worked.  Then i simply edited the text of a different button (mind you one that still works) and the "return to menu" quit along with the bottom 2 buttons.  I just can't figure it out.  I have shut the app down and restarted and nothing seems to be working

    Input Textfields not working in fullscreen mode any one help me.

    Quotes from Adobe:

    Hello,
    I think your problem is very similiar to a problem that I had been suffering from a few days ago.
    I think that the below code should solve your problem:
    stage.scaleMode = StageScaleMode.NO_BORDER;
