FSP_LANGUAGE_PREFERENCE doesn't change

Situation:
My current application is in Estonian (et) and I translated it to Russian (ru).
In application attributes I chose application primary language: estonian (et). and application language delivered from: item preference.
I translated the application following the 6 point guide in htmldb. I received no errors in any point (translated, uploaded, published etc entire application).
I created application level item: FSP_LANGUAGE_PREFERENCE.
Then I created 2 buttons which will change my language (:FSP_LANGUAGE_PREFERENCE := 'et'; and process for 'ru').
When I run my application first time - language is 'et' and item FSP_LANGUAGE_PREFERENCE has no value.
When the "ET" button is pressed, process changes the item value of FSP_LANGUAGE_PREFERENCE to et.
When the "ET" button is pressed, process changes the item value of FSP_LANGUAGE_PREFERENCE to ru. I see translated application. So far no problems.
Now, when the FSP_LANGUAGE_PREFERENCE is set to ru, pressing the "ET" button doesn't do anything (item FSP_LANGUAGE_PREFERENCE stays ru, instead of changing to 'et').
Clicking debug shows me this: 0.01: ...FSP_LANGUAGE_PREFERENCE v('FSP_LANGUAGE_PREFERENCE')="ru" (HTMLDB_PUBLIC_USER): wwv_flow.g_browser_language=ru maplang=ru but since i don't use browser preference, this shouldn't make difference (btw - the browser's language is also set to 'et').
Is it bug or I miss something somewhere.

Cannot see your application from here. Please put it on htmldb.oracle.com, post the app ID and we'll take a look. BTW, you said you have two buttons, both named "ET".

The html container doesn't change size according to the width of the website, but instead the width of the window.

As stated. The html container doesn't change to match the content on the website (like Internet Explorer does), it changes to match the screen size. That way, when you scroll horizontally, elements disappear because the html container is the size of the screen and in a fixed position.

Set Busy cursor doesn't change until mouse is moved

When I use the "Set Busy.vi" to control mouse cursor appearance, it doesn't actually change until the pointer is moved. Similarly, the "Unset Busy.vi" doesn't change appearance until the mouse is moved. Is there a way to fix this?

Changing resolution and image size doesn't change result on screen?

I'm using Photoshop CS3. I am trying to change the resolution of several images that will be printed in a newspaper. So the current images are 72 ppi and really huge -- for example 36 x 27 inches (document size), and when I change them to 300 ppi, the image sizes shrink to about 8 x 6 inches, as I expect. But the image I see on the screen doesn't change. So, for example, when I open up the image originally, it's at 33% and the entire image is visible. After I change the resolution, and the image size has changed accordingly, the image still appears the same and it remains at 33%. Shouldn't the image shrink on the screen since its size has shrunk? Or if it remains the same on the screen, shouldn't the percentage shift? I mean if the document size is now 8 x 6, it should be able to be displayed at 100% and not fill my whole screen... I'm so confused. Thanks...

The "Document Size" area of the Image Size dialog is just to indicate the size (in inches) that your document will be printed. The ppi adjustment has nothing to do with what is displayed on your monitor. Your monitor doesn't care anything about ppi. The monitor contains a certain number of pixels and after you change that ppi setting, the monitor will still have that same number of pixels.
As long as you leave the "Resample Image" box unchecked, your image size (Pixel Dimensions) will not change. You will see no change on your monitor. If you check the "Resample Image" box, then your image size (in pixels) will change.

I installed the new firefox 4 browser today. In the description about the new app tab the following feature is claimed:

i am new to java , i get a problem when i am modifying a applet . i recompile it to .class file but did not change its name . and the .html file which use the applet doesn't change with it , it still shows the original style , even when i delete the .class file . it works until i changed the name of the source file and use the different .class file in html . it's troublesome if i need to modify the source file because i must change the name to get it . can you tell me why and how could i avoid this ?

I am new also & had a similar experience.
In my case it was aftercompiling and trying to refresh the browser to get it to display the new version of my applet. I got around this by holding Ctrl down and pressing F5 to refresh.
Also, some of the systems at university cause exactly the problem you describe. Not sure why it should work but we overcame it by placing our files in the JDK folder on those systems & it worked properly. May be worth a try.

Cursor doesn't change to bush when using brush adjustment

I'm running into an issue when I using the brush adjustment in LR 5.5. The cursor doesn't change from the pointer to the brush cursor. Does any one have a fix for this? I'm running the latest version of LR. I have an 2011 iMac running OS 10.9.4 Any help to solve this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Same thing here. I also find that Apple Mail is the most frequent offender. Still, like you have mentioned, it is not limited just to mail. This was not a problem for me in Mountain Lion. However, I am noticing that this is a problem for users as far back as 2006 and for every OS release since. It seems that this is not a OS- specific issue. Or if it is, Apple hasnt addressed it in 6 OS releases. This seems like it would be an easy fix. Pretty annoying that it doesnt "just work," right?

Removing items from sheet doesn't change SQL

When I create a sheet, run it, then remove items from the sheet, and then refresh it, the SQL doesn't change (items/columns that were removed remain in the select statement). They (columns) are removed from the resulting report, but it's throwing off my results (number of rows due to summary items). In other words, I had detail numbers, replace them with summary numbers, now it should be grouping by the detail items, but it's isn't. Basically, the tool isn't removing those items from the SQL.
Has anyone seen this?

I'll chime in on this one - we're seeing this same behavior as well. I can reproduce the problem at will like so:
1) Create a new sheet.
2) Pick a table, any table, that has a data point.
3) To this new sheet, add the DETAIL of the data point, and one other attribute.
4) View the results - they are good.
5) Realize you made a misteak, go to Edit Sheet, remove the DETAIL and replace it with the SUM of that same data point.
6) View the results, and become dismayed that they are not grouping at all.
7) Click on View->SQL Inspector, and observe the detail item is still in the SQL (along with the SUM) despite having removed it in the sheet editor.
8) Edit sheet - remove all items leaving absolutely everything blank (no selected items, no columns, no calculations, no sorts, nothing)
9) Click on View->SQL Inspector, and observe the detail item is still in the SQL. That's wrong!
If that's not a bug, I'm czar of all the Russias.

File name doesn't change in Quicktime or iTunes even though i changed it in Finder

I've have been trying to change the name of a video file (.MP4). I change the file name in the finder and it stays that way. However when i open the file in quicktime the name has not changed in the title bar. Also if i move the file to iTunes, I have it setup to copy and organize my files that i add, it changes it back to the old file name. I have all copies of the file closed. Both Quicktime and iTunes are closed. Please help me fix this. Thank you.

You need to use a program such as VLC or Flip4Mac to play them or Switch to convert them. Just changing a file's extension doesn't change its format.

Unfortunately, based on your description, I would have to second that your Express is a "goner." However, before giving up on the unit, be sure that you attempt a "factory default" reset at least 3x just to be sure.
