  • FTP-adapter not picking all files

    Hi,
    We have scenario, where FTP should pick a file and post it as a idoc to SAP. Now it happens that FTP pick's some files and leaves some out.
    The parameters are:
    File name = *
    Connection mode = Per file transfer
    Quality of service = Exactly once
    Poll interval (secs) = 3000
    If I look at the adapter monitoring the last polling interval was done yesterday morning. How's that possible if interval is 3000 seconds?

    Hi Tapio,
        We also faced the same problem but it was with NFS protocol. Can you pls check with the help of your System Administrator, after putting some more new files into the relevant folder and see what all are the privileges that is coming to each file and also the user group its saying for the files, especially the ones which are not picked.
    There is a chance that the one which is not picked can be of a different user group and your FTP user is belonging to different user group.
       We are in XI 3.0 SP15..
    Pls check the same.
    Cheers

  • FTP adapter --- Not picking up files

    Hi,
    I have set up an FTP adapter in archive mode to read files from FTP server and process it while archiving a copy of it. I have set up Poll interval at 40 secs and retry interval also set up. It works great the first time . Processes the file and archives it. But when the same files comes in again in the FTP server, I see the foll. message in the adapter monitor "Error: Stopped due to error: com.sap.aii.adapter.file.ftp.FTPEx: inputdat.txt: No such file or directory: No such file or directory."..The file exists in the FTP server but its not processed..I am not sure what I am missing...
    -Teresa

    Hi Michal,
      I have timestamp set up for archive directory..So every run will create an archive file with timestamp..But the input filename remains the same..Archive functionality would remove the file inthe FTP server..So when the file comes again into the FTP server, the FTP adapter doesn't trigger automatically. Everytime I had to activate the IB for FTP adapter to trigger the process. I know this is not how XI-FTP adapter should work..Our scenario is we would receive weekly files into the FTP adpater with the same name. We need to archive each weekly file and also send it for further processing..I can't be activating the process manually ....I know something is going wrong but can't figure it out...:(..Any help is appreciated...:)

    Hi San ,
    Please checke the status of JMS communication channel. In Runtime work bench , U will get the adapter monitoring there if any activity happens it shows the event details .
    I hope picking the file is initial event so you can get some idea with those event log for Communication channel .

  • OSB error while generating business service for FTP adapter Sync Get File

    Hi All
    I am trying to generate a business service from SOA Suite JCA FTP adapter Sync Get File, but i am getting this exception for no reasons (Rest operations list file, get file and put file are working)
    Invalid JCA transport endpoint configuration, exception: java.lang.NullPointerException     Unknown ALSB Conflict.
    Is this a bug in eclipse, can any body help me. Thanks
    Sorry Forgot to mention eclipse version...
    Eclipse Platform
    Version: 3.6.2
    Build id: M20110210-1200

    Ok,
    bcoz of this issue, i had to code the entire interface in OSB console. It runs fine in OSB console (i was able to test it successfully).
    Is this a bug in eclipse or only i am facing this issue? Has anybody tried to create a business service from JCA FTP Get Synchronous jca file?
    <adapter-config name="FTPReadMOMFileOnRMSDB" adapter="FTP Adapter"
         wsdlLocation="../wsdl/FTPReadMOMFileOnRMSDB.wsdl"
         xmlns="http://platform.integration.oracle/blocks/adapter/fw/metadata">
         <connection-factory location="eis/ftp/RMSDBFtpAdapter" />
         <endpoint-interaction portType="SynchRead_ptt"
              operation="SynchRead">
              <interaction-spec
                   className="oracle.tip.adapter.ftp.outbound.FTPReadInteractionSpec">
                   <property name="DeleteFile" value="true" />
                   <property name="PhysicalDirectory" value="/MOMFiles/output" />
                   <property name="FileName" value="*" />
                   <property name="FileType" value="binary" />
              </interaction-spec>
         </endpoint-interaction>
    </adapter-config>
    One more doubt? The PhysicalArchiveDirectory path can be on the FTP server something like: /MOMFiles/archive. Or do i have to use the Put operation to move it to /MOMFiles/archive directory. Currently OSB console and eclipse do not accept FTP path for this parameter and want me to specify a local directory on server. Thanks

  • FTP Adapter not polling

    Hi,
    We have a clustered environment in Oracle SOA 10.1.3.4 MLR#1. We are setting up 3 different bpel processes polling 3 different locations and using 3 different data source. When we deploy them none of the ftp polling is working. We looked at various blog and added property for ClusterId
    <property name="clusterGroupId">myBpelAdapterCluster</property>
    I also tried using a different clustergroupid for each of the bpel process.
    Does this clusterGroupId should be different for each BPEL process or can we use myBpelAdapterCluster for all 3. Please suggest me what may be the cause for the ftp adapter not polling.
    Thanks
    Jagan.

    I was contacted by our DBA team for an exception received while writing a file to a FTP location.
    Then i looked at the exception message and asked them to check the whether they are able to contact the ftp server using command prompt then they said the user password got expired.
    They reset the password and its working now.
    Am i missing something here :(
    Exception:
    WSIF JCA Execute of operation 'Put' failed due to: Error sending file to FTP Server.

  • Sender File Adapter not picking up the file

    Hello Experts,
    I have configured a sender file (FTP) adapter. All the configurations are right. The name of the file is given exactly as it is. The processing mode is Delete.
    The scenario was running fine till today. I only made changes to the path from which it has to pick the file. I have checked the path numerously and it is correct.
    But the file is not being picked up.
    Monitoring the communication channel shows no errors. It has the green indicator. No idea what is happening.
    Please Help,
    Regards,
    Merrilly

    Hi
    try to make some changes anf then again save and cativte the adapter. may be the adapter is not being activated.
    also check whether the cache is refreshed or not.
    or u can also check in the communication channel monitoring the channel is start or stop. if stop then start the channel and then try again.
    if u still face the problem please reply me back.
    Thanks

  • Sender File adapter not picking the file ABCD.PRN extension file

    Hi
    Am doing File to Abap Proxy scenario. My source will be in text format of fixed length of fileds 7.
    My souce file will be generated by a third party machine with the extension EEE150809.PRN. In my scenario my file adapter should pick the file and update the same in ECC via a Proxy.
    I have configured the Sender File adapter with Message Protocol -  Content Conversion but file adapter is not picking the file. I have checked the Communication channel and status is fine. But the same Communication Channel works for .XML file.
    What are the parameters that I have to consider with the file extension .PRN using File adapter?
    Thanks.
    S.

    Hi Swarna,
    You dont need to worry about the extension when picking the file. You can try using EEE* so that is picks all the files starting with EEE. If you have the fixed name then you can try giving EEE150809.*. Also EEE150809.PRN should not have any issue. Try to see in sender commu ication cahnnel for anyerrors. Probably there might be some network issues or authorisation issues. If you are reading with NFS then ask them to give necessary permissions. If you are reading through FTP check the user id and pwd you are using.

  • NFS Adapter not picking up file

    Hi Guru's,
    Scenario is File(NFS)  to File(FTP) without using repository part.
    The NFS directory name has been maintained correctly. File name is also correct. Channel is active. Checked in RWB also.
    All configuration settings are fine. But NFS adapter is not picking up the file and also not showing any error.
    Tried following thing but not working
    1) Manually deactivating and activating channel in Directory.
    2) Stop start channel in Communication channel monitoring.
    3) Put exact file name in Communication channel.
    4) Testing mode changed from Delete to Test and again test to delete.
    5) File type binary to text.

    Hello,
    Verify the below mentioned points:
    a. Is the file adapter locked? ....Visual Admin (till PI7.0) or NWA(for PI7.1 and above) . Entry comes as $XIAdapter*
    b. Check permission / authorization to read/ delete the file?
    c. Adapter Services are active

  • File Adapter Not picking the files

    Hi All,
    We have a process wherein the file adapter picks up the file from a particular location and it processed thereafter. We get the files once every month. We noticed that if the files that are being dazzled are of the same, i.e if the same nomenclature is there for the file that was dazzled the previous month, the adapter does not pick up the file. Only after renaming the file, it picks the file and processed them.
    Any idea why the files that are dazzled with the same name are not being picked up.
    Thanks in Advance...!!

    Hi,
    While configuring file adapter to pick up the files cross verify with file name putting in the directory location against the
    "Includes files with name pattern" "Excludes file with name pattern" file name..
    let say if u kept .*txt if picks the files txt with any name and one more think once after picking up the file from particular location are u enabling (delete file once read) option in configuration(It all depends on ur req)..
    cross check the schema element of the file pattern.

  • File Adapter not picking the file

    Hi Experts,
      I am trying to create a Legacy-XI-R/3 scenario. I am using a file adapter as the sender communication channel and a ABAP proxy at the receiver end. I have given the path of my input file in the legacy system, but the file is not picked up by the adapter. Can any one tell me where I might have gone wrong?

    Hi,
       Just want to add one more suggestion.
    Check the Host name, where the File is kept and try to use the directory path as
    <HostName>\<DirName>.
    Hope this help.

  • Sender FTP Adapter - Archive faulty files not working

    Hello,
    We are on SAP PI 7.11 SP 06
    We have a scenario where we are reading CSV files from a FTP location.
    File Sender Adapter is polling the FTP location for CSV files, if there
    is any error during FCC we need to move the faulty file under a
    particular directory on FTP server.
    Archive faulty files tick is click under the communication channel and
    also the required directory is specified, but the functionality is not
    working.
    If there is a faulty file it is just adding a rejected prefix to the
    file and keeping the file in the polling directory. It is not moving
    the file in the rejected directory specified in the communication
    channel.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Rahul Nawale

    Are you trying to archive the file on the same FTP server or a different FTP server? Archiving the faulty file on the FTP server might not have expected results. And if you are trying to archive the file on a separate FTP server, it wouldn't probably be achieved using the simple file adapter functionalities.
    The best way would be to archive the faulty files to an NFS location on your PI server (this will certainly work, even if it's FTP mode) and then use a separate script or PI interface (file tunneling) to move these files from PI server File System to FTP archive location.

  • SAP MDM Adapter not picking up files in Ready folder on MDM

    Hello Experts,
    We are sending master data from MDM 7.1 system via PI 7.1 system to SAP ECC system. The Sydnication from MDM system is automatic and the files are being syndicated successfully from MDM system and getting dumped in the Ready folder of the port.
    But the Sender MDM PI adapter is not picking up the files from the folder.
    The communication channel status in Communication channel monitoring is green and 'data control' is Automatically.
    However the file is getting picked up if we stop and then start the channel but not automatically.
    Please Help!
    Thanks,
    Suraj

    Check if there are locks for the file channel in NWA. If yes, unlock that and your issue should be resolved.
    Login to NWA --> Operation Management --> Systems --> Start & Stop --> JAVA EE Services --> check for File Connector, Locking Adapter and XPI Adapter: File.

    Hi,
    If you are using a Stand-alone J2SE Adapter Engine, you can create a SOAP adapter to pick a SOAP message from a file system and send it to the Integration Server. This is available with the XI3.0.
    The configuration will look like this.
    Bubble adapter java class
    classname=com.sap.aii.messaging.adapter.ModuleBubble
    This adapter instantiates a bubble bag for supporting
    a soap file upload and sender. A bubble bag is a collection of Bubble
    instances that form some processing chain of message objects.
    Below parameter Bubble.Helper specifies the helper class that implements
    the ModuleBubbleHelper interface. This class is used to instantiate
    a bubble bag for this adapter.
    Sets the bubble module helper that can instantiate your bubble bag
    Bubble.Helper=com.sap.aii.messaging.adapter.ModuleBubbleHelperSOAPFileSenderImpl
    #$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
    Below this line are the parameters specific to the ModuleBubbleHelperSOAPFileSenderImpl
    #$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
    This module loads files from the local file system, consruct SOAP messages
    (or SOAP with Attachments messages), and send them to the specified Web Service target URL.
    Upon successful completion, response messages are stored in the file system.
    Files stored can represent a plain payload, a SOAP envelope, or a SOAP with Attachments.
    Plain payload files and SOAP envelope files may be packaged in MIME using some MIME headers.
    SOAP with Attachments files must be packaged in MIME.
    Specifies the type of the file. The available values are:
    plain for plain; soap for soap envelope; swa for soap with attachments
    SFSender.ContentMode=soap
    Specifies the packaging
    true for MIME packaged file; false for bare content
    SFSender.MIMEPackaged=true
    log everything (4-digit binary, where the bits indicate which
    information is logged: req message, req context, resp request, resp context)
    SFSender.Log=1111
    The target URL to which messages are sent.
    SFSender.TargetURL=http://p28848:4040/mysoaphandler
    The upload directory on the local file system
    This directory has six sub directories with names 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. (they will be created)
    The meaning of each sub directories are:
    0 = inbox where you place messages to be sent
    1 = trash box
    2 = work box
    3 = successfully completed (original) messages go in
    4 = response messages come in (if any)
    5 = undelivered (original) messages go in
    6 = error messages come in (if any)
    In these directories, the file names are used as key and there can be only one file with
    the same name except in the trash box. So, when you place in the inbox a file with
    the name identical to one of the files stored in another directory, it will not processed.
    SFSender.Directory=/tmp/sfsender
    The polling interval in milliseconds (default is 5000)
    #SFSender.PollingInterval=5000
    The retry delay after each failure in milliseconds (default is 5000)
    #SFSender.RetryDelay=5000
    The maximal retry count upon failures (default is 3)
    After the maximal retry count is reached, the message is moved as undelivered.
    #SFSender.RetryCount=3
    The number of dispatchers to send requests (default is 3)
    SFSender.DispatcherCount=1
    END
    Hope this helps.
