Hello Polaka,
You need to carefully go through all the recommendations from SAP note 837898 and make sure you have followed everything in the note exactly, most anonymous issues are caused when this note is not correctly implemented.
Regarding permissions, you should give your anonymous users at least read permissions on the picture which is being used as well as on the html file itself.

You need to at least enable anonymous access for the picture library.
To enable anonymous access for individual lists
Go to the home page of your Web site and, in the left navigation pane, click View All Site Content.
Click the list on which you want to enable anonymous access.
On the Settings menu, click List Settings.
On the Customize List page, in the Permissions and Management section, click Permissions for this list.
On the Permissions page, on the Actions menu, click Edit Permissions. A dialog box is displayed informing you that you are about to create unique permissions for this list. Click OK.
On the Settings menu, click Anonymous Access.
Select permissions for users who have anonymous access to the list, and then click OK.
In the step 7, make sure you have checked Add Items option.

Grant read permission on List for Anonymous user for public facing site in Sharepoint 2013 Online

I have a public facing SP site ( SP online 2013 with Office 365 ). There are certain app parts added to it which read data from a
custom list created on that site. By default anonymous users do not have read permissions list. I want users to see the list data without login in . I tried modifying the settings for anonymous users , however I am unable to do it as the "anonymous user"
permissions cannot be checked by me.
How do I provide read permissions to anonymous users?

once you make the web site online anonymous users get the read access to list.
You can add the list view webpart and show the details to anonymous users. In the below link i have added the announcement list view webpart to a page.

Vsftpd: allow writeable root for anonymous user

Hi,
I try to set up a simple FTP server which allows anonymous users to upload file into the root directory.
I use the directive allow_writeable_chroot but I still get the following error:
500 OOPS: vsftpd: refusing to run with writable root inside chroot()
Here is my vsftpd.conf:
anonymous_enable=YES
write_enable=YES
anon_upload_enable=YES
anon_mkdir_write_enable=YES
listen=YES
allow_writeable_chroot=YES
I also tried to play with anon_root but the error is the same if the given root is writable.
Any help would be appreciated.

I found the following entry in the vsftpd changelog (v3.0.0):
- Add new config setting "allow_writeable_chroot" to help people in a bit of
a spot with the v2.3.5 defensive change. Only applies to non-anonymous.
So, no way to make it work with anonymous users?

How do I allow anonymous users to submit an infopath form without using code

I have enabled anonymous users on my sharepoint site and given it as many permissions as I can. I'm able to browse to the site, but I get an error when I hit submit unless I'm logged in as a domain user. I'm also prompted for a login if I click upload
on the site. I'm not really a programmer, I've tried some programming things I found on the web but I haven't been able to make it work.

Based my research, OOB SharePoint don’t allow anonymous users to contribute contents(Edit, Upload and Add) into list and library.
This is by design behavior, and it’s a consideration about security in order to help protect your site from potential script injection attacks.
For anonymous users, only the View Item permission is available for libraries.

List View Web Part anonymous users paging is broken

Hi I checked that list view web part do not work for anonymous users with paging. wanted to check if its known bug or there is some intention to keep it like that.

Hi,
According to your description, there is an issue that if the paging is configured for a list view web part, it will be broken for anonymous users.
I tried to reproduce this issue with the steps below, however, all work without issue.
1. Enable anonymous access in Web Application level;
2. Enable anonymous access in site collection level;
3. By default, the permission settings of a list inherit the permissions from its parents, that’s say, anonymous access also enabled in the current list, “Anonymous
Users” can “View Items”;
4. Set paging for the “AllItems” view, add this list as a web part into a page, the paging works as expected for anonymous users.
I suggest you create a new Web Application and configure to enable anonymous access following the steps above to see if the issue still exists.

Errors while consuming secured portlet on anonymous user

I'm trying to configure security end-to-end Portlet as in this link http://fusionsecurity.blogspot.com/2010/09/hands-on-wsrp-security-in-oracle-fusion_04.html.
I got WSRP security with authenticated users, but when I try to consume the portlet on anonymous users (unauthenticated), I receive the error below:

We have the following usecase:
1) Created an ADF application with one JSP page and converted to portlet.
2) Created a consumer application (Webcenter Portal Framework Application).
3) In the consumer app, created a WSRP connection for this portlet (to register the producer).
- In the "Configure Security Attributes" in the WSRP portlet producer wizard, we have selected the following:
- Token Profile: WSS 1.0 SAML Token with Message Protection
- Configuration: Default
- Default user: anonymous
4) Drag and drop the portlet on the consumer page and run.
Would anyone tell me how do I set the permission for an anonymous user?

I’ve set ADF Security for my Portlet Application following the steps below:
Create an Enterprise Role ‘Participante’. (The authenticated user has this group 'Participante' in LDAP)
Create an Application Role ‘participante-role’ and map to the enterprise role ‘Participante’.
Assign ‘participante-role’ to Web Page or Task Flow in Resources Grants.
Those steps work well when I am using Task Flows. If I use Portlets based on Page instead of Task Flow, the security does not work.
I have already tested the second option (create a guest user). The problem here is that the user has the authenticated-role associated to it.

Anonymous user can't access WPC pages in TREX search result list

An anonymous user can use TREX service to enter query string in search iView and to get the list of results.
But when he tries to open a page (web_paragraph or web_article ) generated by WPC (by clicking on the page link in result list) a logon screen appears in a popup window.
The URL of the window is /irj/servlet/prt/prtroot/... rather than irj/go/km/u2026 .
How to work around this?
At the same time he can see Word, Excel documents and XML Forms (News).
We use light framework.

You need to change PCD Permission for the objects the anonymous used.
And change the parametrer Authentication Scheme to Anonymous.

Anonymous Users can see pages and files only about 10 minutes

We have set Anonymous access permission to an KM repository. After the portal restarting very strange things are happen. An user who belongs to the Anonymous Users group can see and open pages (created by WPC), files and hyperlinks. But after about ten minutes of such browsing a login screen begins to appear. Since that time the user canu2019t see and open any file of the repository.
We have accurately read and applied recommendations of the Note 837898 - How to configure anonymous CM access.
All URL Generator Service properties are exactly satisfied recommended values (e.g. /irj/go/*).
We have granted Read permissions to all required repositories and recourses for Everyone and Anonymous Users groups (checked End User fieled as well).
The site navigation structure and pages have been developed by mean of Web Page Composer (WPC).
Security Zone (no safety) of WPC has been set with Read permission of Everyone and Anonymous Users groups.
How to work around this?

Please read the following clarification of our situation.
During setting up access of anonymous user to Web Page Composer pages we need to use Web Content repository that is not in the Documents repository.
As is in the note 837898 there are no prefixes for WPC pages in the URL Generator Service.
So the an anonymous user get login screen then attempt to access any WPC pages of the Web Content repository.
How to achieve that content in the Web Content repository get as Content Link property the value '/irj/go/km/docs/wpccontent/u2026', rather than '/irj/servlet/prt/prtroot/...'?

How to use search REST api to get custom managed property data for anonymous user?

I am trying build a public portal with anonymous access and i am trying to read some
content from custom managed property using search REST api in sharepoint 2013. I have tried to enable all possible attributes of the managed prop. Like searchable,queryable,safe etc. also i am including queryparametertemplate in my REST api search query. But
still i am not able to retrieve the managed prop. For an anonymous user. The same query returns the value if i am logged in.

Hi Rakesh,
To enable anonymous Search REST queries, we need to create queryparametertemplate.xml and upload it to the correct library in SharePoint.
From your description I can know that you have created the file, then I recommend to check the things below:
Please use “QueryTemplatePropertiesUrl” instead of “queryparametertemplate” in the Search REST API query as following: &QueryTemplatePropertiesUrl='spfile://webroot/queryparametertemplate.xml'.
Make sure that the Query Properties you need have been added to the QueryProperties element in the queryparametertemplate.xml file.
Make sure that the query parameters you need have been added to the WhiteList element in the
queryparametertemplate.xml file. For example, if you want to use Refiners in the REST API, then the Refiners should be added to the
WhiteList element in the queryparametertemplate.xml file as following:
<a:string>Refiners</a:string>.

Disable rating service for anonymous user

Hi,
I'm trying to set permissions for anonymous users so they couldn't do anything else except displaying the documents in KM I want to disable their access to other services allowed for other users (e.g.. Subscription, Feedback, Discussion, Rating etc.).
What I made so far: I've set permissions and service permissions to the Folders, created role with added Authentificated Users group and I added this role to property Roles with visibility in System administration/System configuration/Knowledge management/Content management/User interface/Commands/UI commands. This way, I set command permissions for every command I thought the anonymous user could see.
Almost everything worked fine, i.e. anonymous user has disabled almost every unnecessary option, but he can still see Rating option in the context menu next to the file/folder. I set the permission to Rating UI command, but it didn't work.
Can anyone suggest what else could be done so the anonymous user won't be able to rate documents?

I have functional anonymous login and anonymous user can only display documents, search them and RATE them. But I can't figure out how to disable the rating service just for anonymous user, not other users.
That note won't help me with that.

Accessing xml forms for anonymous user

Hi all,
Is it possible in any way to use the "news" made with XML-Forms on an External Facing Portal?
I have created one page in XML form builder and assigned that page for anonymous user. Initially that page is visible to anonymous user. If i click any rendered list item it's asking Authentication-Information. Isn't it possible to let them read the News without authentification?
i have set all permissionsm for anonymous users?
How can i solve that problem.

Hi,
this is possible. Please have a look at note 837898 first. But this note doesn't solve it completly.
By default the xmlformpreview-servlet which is used to display the news is not accessible for anonymous users. Try this:
- Create an iview in the pcd (any locaation) from par com.sap.km.cm.par and component xmlformpreview
- set the authentication scheme to anonymous
- give anonymous users permissions in the permission configuration of the iView
- open the iView in Preview Mode and copy the url of the iview from /irj on (something like /irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/pcd!3aportal_content!2fxmlformpreview)
- Go to System Administration --> System Configuration --> Knowledge Management --> Content Mangagement --> Global Services (switch to advanced mode here) --> URL Generator service: set the iView-URL as the value of the "Preview Servlet" --> save
- test it

RSS Feed not working in chrome browser for anonymous users but working fine in IE

We are having public facing site for anonymous users. We have created links for OOTB RSS feed for lists and libraries. The link is working fine in IE, but for chrome it is asking for credentials. We are using publishing site. Any idea or pointers is much
appreciated. We are in testing phase and this issue sticking us.

Hi,
According to your description, my understanding is that you want anonymous user access RSS feed link without asking for credentials.
I suggest you can check if you have deactived the “Limited-access user permission lockdown mode” feature in the site settings-> site collection features
In my environment ,after disabling the feature, then the rss feed link will be accessed without credentials for anonymous users in Chrome.
