FTP disconnects on MLSD command. Suspect SPI is culprit

I am trying to run an FTP server on one of my computers behind this model/router:
Firmware Version:
40.19.22
Model Name:
MI424WR-GEN3I
Hardware Version:
I
Serial Number:
CSJI2051918460
When I connect (Filezilla client) the login is successful, it enters passive mode and then hangs (afer sending MLSD command) and disconnects due to timeout.
Elsewhere online I've found suggestions that disabling the SPI setting might fix this problem but I'm having trouble figuring out how I might do this with this router. The documentation suggests I mess around with Advanced Filters but this is getting me nowhere.
I've opened up port 21 on the port forwarding menu and because I'm getting a successful ftp login I am confident that this part is working.

  • FTP ReceiverChannel and OS commands help

    Hi,
I'm trying to execute an Operating System Command after processing.
I want to move *.dat files from the "ccc" Folder to the temp folder on the FTP server.
The command line looks like this "move \ccc\*.dat \temp"
    Can any one help.
    Live long and prosper
    Frank Hinrichsen

I have an Receiver FTP adapter.
After Message Processing,I would like to move the file on the FTP server.
Under "Run Operating System Command After Message Processing" in the command line I write
    <b>"ftp rename /Folder/filename.xml /newFolder/filename.xml"</b>
I think this is the right syntax.
I'm using permanently connection. so there should be no login issues.
But the rename on the FTP server is not done. The User is autorized to execute the rename command.
I have succesfully used the above command in DOS prompt.
Hope this makes my problem clear to you .

  • Can't upload web pages wit photo's or movies without FTP disconnecting?

Using Cyberduck to upload trial iweb to yahoo geocities filemanager to test my skills before paying for a proper host. Found cyber duck and seems to work fine for uploading files as long as they have underscores for spaces. But when i try to upload my published iWeb folder in my Sites folder, It disconnects after uploading 900kb with just one movie page with movie exported from imovie or 1.2mb out of 14mb with movie as a podcast page.
    My URL is http://uk.geocities.com/blondefishwalker/Sites/Site/Welcome.html
you will see the welcome page but not the about me. The podcast page is there but no movies or links.
My lastest attempt with welcome, about me and podcast pages has had all media exported out of iPhoto or iMovie and i've tried sharing movies via download and stream and still get errors. Is it cyber duck?, geocities?, iWeb? what? Please shed some light on this for me!

I am no expert on ftp, but have read lots of posts.
Looking at the error message you posted, I suspect that it is to do with the fact that you have got a space in "About Me". From what I understand, most webhosts do not allow spaces in file names, therefore you need to rename to something else, perhaps About_Me.

  • FTP disconnects all the time

    Hi
Why does BC server connection disconnects so often? in DW and now using Espresso, BC connection will disconnect every few minutes. Really annoying.
Anything I can change in the FTP setup?
    Thanks
    Micha

    Yes,
open the Windows Command Prompt and type ping -t yoursite.com (this should be your site url, without the www or http://)
You can open the command prompt by pressing the Windows key, then typing cmd.exe (if you're using Vista or Windows 7).
After entering ping -t fuxcan.businesscatalyst.com and pressing CTRL+C I got this:
Average ping 147ms and 0% packet loss.

  • How to connect to an FTP server via Midnight Commander _User_Menu_?

    Hi everyone.
There's a nifty command that works in MC and makes it connect to an FTP server and display its directories just as if they were local ones: cd ftp://USER_LOGIN@SERVER_NAME. The only thing it asks for is a password, obviously. That's exactly what i'm looking for, theoretically.
I know it's not really a standard Bash command, because if invoked outside MC, it returns an error (directory not found).
I got kind of tired of typing it in (or copypasting it) every time, so i thought why not make it automatic? A Bash alias or a shell script wouldn't work, because as i said, it's not really a bash command.
But what surprised me was that it didn't work as an entry in MC's menu, too.
Tried to go another way, discovered kftp, apparently it's completely not what i am looking for.
And i didn't even understand what F9 > Left > FTP Link in MC did. It isn't automatic as well anyway, i have to type everything in manually.
Can anyone advise how to automate FTP connection in MC, or even in Bash (so that MC just treats it like a regular directory)?
    Big thanks in advance.

This is not the correct way. You are using bash command line. For this to work it must be:
    # mc cd ftp://ftp.0fees.net
kiruch wrote:When i invoke it as an entry of MC's menu (what i'm aiming for), i get /tmp/mc-cyril/mcusr6BWdYd: line 2: cd: ftp://ftp.0fees.net: No such file or directory - well, basically the same.
I don't know what do you mean by "invoke an entry of MC's menu",
    Is this:
    Left->FTP link or Right->FTP link ?
kiruch wrote:And finally, if i type cd ftp://ftp.0fees.net manually into MC's command prompt, i get a red alert message that says Cannot chdir to "ftp://ftp.0fees.net". Input/output error (5)
In the first post you said you were able to login with "cd ftp://USER_LOGIN@SERVER_NAME", so MC is working well.
This error you showed is the same which I have when I type "cd ftp.0fees.net" in the MC command prompt (maybe you typed wrong...)
Instead, when I try "cd ftp://ftp.0fees.net" the popup error is:  "ftpfs: Login incorrect for user anonymous"
This is what I expected, because I don't have the username and password and I'm trying a anonymous login.
Are you sure your typing is right? Please, check your typing and try again.

  • Does XI support FTP over SSL with Command AUTH TLS??

    Hi All,
Can we change Command AUTH TLS to AUTH SSL in the Command Order of receiver FTP adapter when you select FTPS (FTP using SSL/TLS) for Controal and Data Connection??
We are able to transfer business documents to bank's FTP server (Following RFC 2228 standards) using WS FTP Pro (I think follows RFC 959 and 1123 standards) which using AUTH SSL in Command order.
We did go through SAP note 821267 (FAQ for XI 3.0 / PI 7.0 File Adapter)...question number 33 address about the "AUTH TLS" command. But we not getting the same error. We get different as in this forum:

Can someone please confirm if this is the issue with FTP RFC standarads?? Or can we coustomize FTPS adapter to send AUTH SSL command??

    Hy all,
in my FTP REceiver Adapter Configuration I need to set a new sequence of command why the ftp server doesn't support one command in the standard sequence.

    Hi Rahul,
Try selecting the keystore and X.509 certificate that you loaded in VA, in the communication channel.
I think you need to specify this certificate in communication channel for verification.
Also please check Q24 of Note 821267 - FAQ: XI 3.0 / PI 7.0/ PI 7.1 File Adapter (I think you loaded the certificate to trustedCA as described in this note)
if didnt work check your command order AUTH TSL,USER,PASS,PBSZ,PROT

I'm developing a simple ftp client from the socket level , the program runs just fine in Solaris but not in the window XP. As the program sent a "PORT 10,100,151,180,5,201" to the ftp server (a Solaris) then I get the "502 Illegal PORT Command" reply. This won't happen when it is in Solaris. The ftp provided by win XP works just fine in the same pc. what's wrong with my ftp client program ?

In terms of the Airport Extreme, is the Mac Mini Server currently set to the default host? If the Mac Mini Server is not currently set to the default host, this needs to be configured as such.
To set up the Mac Mini Server as the default host on the Airport Extreme:
1 Open AirPort Utility, select your wireless device, and then choose Manual Setup from the Base Station menu, or double-click the device icon to open its configuration in a separate window. Enter the password if necessary.
2 Click the Internet button, and then click NAT.
3 Select the “Enable Default Host at” checkbox if not already checked.
4 Enter the same IP address of the Mac Mini Server.
    This works

  • PI 7.30: OS command on AIX to archive files on FTP does not work

    Dear experts,
Our PI system runs on an AIX server.
I have a scenario PI --> FTP. I also need to archive files in a seperate folder on the FTP.
    I have been following thread:
Read or Write File On FTP server based on another file existence.
After file processing in the Audit Log in RWB I among others I get the information:
    Execute OS command "sh /usr/sap/SYS/flex/batches/archive.sh file.zip /ftpfolder/file.zip"
It seems it is working properly.
The file itself gets processed to the "ftpfolder". But in the archive folder I do not get a copy of that file.
    My script looks like this:
    #!/bin/ksh
    ftp -n -v <<%%EOF%%
    open ftpserver
    user myuser mypassword
    prompt
    asci
    cd archivefolder
    mput $2
    bye
    %%EOF%%
In the file receiver I have "Run OS command after message processing":
    "sh /usr/sap/SYS/flex/batches/archive.sh %f %F"
%F stands for the complete path, right? So if I say "mput $2" in my script it should use %F.
Could you please help me out here. I really don't know what the problem could be.
    Thank you and best regards,

  • OS commands in FTP adapter

    Hi Experts,
we are trying to use the OS command in the sender FTP adapter to compress the huge text files(approx 2 GB) before we pick the file to avoid the server issues.
for which we are using the OS command,
    ssh -n -l user targetserver "cd /tagetdirectory; compress ExportFile.xml;mv ExportFile.xml.Z ExportFile.xml"
The above is a single command supplied by the Basis team.
the above command makes the connection to the target server with  the user ( password not required)and then compresses the file.
I used the command in the sender FTP adapter as is.
But the message processing made the XI server unavailable  and the process got failed due to HTTP_TRANSMISSION_ERROR
Please suggest on the OS command, Is it a right command ? or do I need to add anything to it, to make it work.
Please note that for the File Adapter transport protocol "FTP", the operating system command is NOT
executed on the FTP server, but on the server hosting the Adapter Engine ( please refer to
    SAP note: 841704).
    Thanks,
    MK

    Thanks Michal,
For "FTP" the command will be executed on the but on the server hosting the Adapter Engine, right?
    ssh -n -l user targetserver "cd /targetdirectory; compress ExportFile.xml;mv ExportFile.xml.Z ExportFile.xml"
the command above is opening a secure channel from the XI host to the FTP host. We have a trusted relationship set up between the xiadm and ftpadm users which will allow this to occur without a password. and then it compress the file.
Please suggest further to resolve the issue.
    I really appreciate you help.
    Thanks,
    MK

  • OS Command feature in FTP receiver

    HI Experts,
This is regarding the Command line feature available in FTP channels.
    Scenario : File to File
    1. Is it possible to create a copy of the output file onto another directory in the target FTP server using this feature? Or is this not possible as the SAP note 841704 mentions "for the File Adapter transport protocol "FTP", the operating system command is NOT executed on the FTP server, but on the server hosting the Adapter Engine." If i want a copy onto another directory in the remote server, what are the steps to be followed?
( have gone through Michals blog /people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2007/02/08/xipi-command-line-sample-functions but was not able to try it as i dont have permisstion to tcode SXDA_TOOLS - i believe the batch file should be uploaded to al11 using this - correct me if i am wrong here!)
    2.  Can we give command directly onto the command line text box (without mentioning batch file path) ? I tried using the Transport protocol as NFS and routed the file to a local directory /usr/sap/tmp with the command line having a simple command as mv %f filechange.txt. This is shown as executed successfully in CC monitoring but result is not seen.
Would like to know the possibilities of this feature- thanks in advance!

    Hi Diya,
also in text box use uppercase F  like: %F
Please use $1 instead of %1
    cp $1 /usr/sap/tmp/newfile.txt
    cp file1 file2  copy file1 to a file called file2
    cp file1 /tmp  copy file1 to the /tmp directory
cp file1 ~smith  copy file1 to the home directory of "smith"
cp * /tmp  copy everything in the directory to the /tmp directory
    refer this
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/e3/94007075cae04f930cc4c034e411e1/content.htm
When the operating system command is called, the file name currently being processed can be specified with the following placeholders:
    u25CF        %f (file name)
u25CF        %F(absolute file name including path)
