Ftp error when I PUT, Tested OK
I build my website on my computer exactly as the book indicated with the "Striped Umbrella" example, I PUT the root ok, but each time I try to put another file it locks the FTP, so bad that I not only have to shutdown and power down. I have to turn off the modem and lose my telephone for an hour. This is bad, because I am in poor health!
Can someone help me? I have CS6.

Media such as videos etc can take a lot of time to upload due to their file size but optimized web images should go up in a matter of a few seconds if you have a broadband connection. Just make sure you are optimizing the images for the web and not trying to upload images that are for use for printing as these can be very large files.
I would certainly start by trying a 3rd party FTP program rather than the inbuilt one which ships with Dreamweaver.

FTP Error when trying to "put" a file to my web site
When I try to put some files to my web site, I get an error message:"FTP Error occurred - cannot put <filename>. Access denied. The file may not exist, or there could be a permission problem."
Other files I can upload without a problem. All are .htm files.
I have also found that I can "put" a file if I have not edited it. After I edit and save it and try to put it, I get the FTP error.
Some files I can upload even if I have just edited them.
I have found a "work around". If I edit and then "save as" with a new name, I can put the new file to the web, rename it and it works fine.
The work around is a hassle but it works.It most definitely sounds like a server permissions issue.
If you want to verify before rattling the code mokey cages at your hosting company, download another FTP application, like the Filezilla client (not from the Sourceforge link), and test it.
If you have to do the same thing in FZ, or any other client, your hosting company will need to give you the correct permissions so you have the proper access to develop your site.
I'm 99% sure this has nothing to do with DW in and of itself. -
An FTP error occurred - cannot put [file name.htm]. Dreamweaver encountered an internal data error
I get the message “Server not responding” whenever trying to add files to my web site via DW. The following message appears: "An FTP error occurred - cannot put [file name.htm]. Dreamweaver encountered an internal data error. Please try the operation again."
I called the hosting service provider, and they said they were able to upload a 20 mb document with no problem. I was also able to upload a document using Filezilla.
Therefore, the problem must be with DW.
When I go to Manage Sites and choose my site and get to the Test Connection button, the test is successful, which further confuses the issue.
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.Does this help?

It is possible it is a host issue but because they use a higher level account to test that they do not see the error. -

Dreamweaver FTP error when updating BC site
Hi,
I recently changed by Adobe ID password due a possible security breach.
When trying to "put" some local Dreamweaver folders to update my test BC site i got the error message;
" An FTP error has occurred. Cannot make connection to the host your login or password is incorrect. Please check your connection information".
I know this must be straightforward to sort but I can't seem to work it out.
Can anyone remind me how to update connection information to reflect my new password ?

You have changed your password online but if this is a saved project in Dreamweaver you also need to go in and update your details in that saved project with your new password as well. Have you done this or entering your new password in DW? -
Error when I put a component in the stage and I change any property

I'm using Flash CS4, as3 and adobe air file. I have an application with 3 scenes, first scene to login, second to set up, and third to see an video.
The problem is that, when I put a component in the second or third scene, if a change any property in the component inspector, any property it gives me error. So put the component and I change property by code in as3.
But I'm doing things with FLVPlayback component, and now before enter the scene gives me error, the solution will be to get the original properties, but I don't remember, I could install other time Flash CS4, but I can do that for any componet, better know the solution.
For example, I have an as file who is the class named p.e. MyMainclass, and in the scene3, I put FLVPlayback, who default values it's the last I used (I don't remember default after instalation), if any code in as3, it gives me this error:
TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.

I remove this component, I put another one I never used, it doesn't give me error, I change any property in the object inspector, p.e. color, it gives me error, I change to original property again, and then NO ERROR.
Thanks in advanceI would reccomend that you not use scenes for that purpose, not exactly sure why but scenes are unreliable. Try putting all of your content in one scene, one timeline and just add a few stop() 's at the end of each "scene", then in your code remove scene2 and scene3 three references, and you'll possibly need to change frame anchors/targets also if you have them.
The error indctates that you have called an object that does not exist at the time the code is run, check where you placed your code, should be frame one, scene1, and also check if you have objects entering the stage down the timeline, that do not enter in frame 1, possibly the movieClip? if so add another keyframe on your actions layer on the same frame as the object and enter the call function for it there. -
Deployment Error when transporting to TEST server
Hi experts,
I'm having a deployment error when transporting my dc from development server to test server using the Change Management Service - Transport Studio.
In the error message, there is the mention of the following sentence:

I've tried changing curl to wget in the /etc/makepkg.conf file--but it still fails (error messages are different).

There is no error.
I can preverify with
preverify -classpath .;%MIDP_BCP% HelloMidp
There is no error.
But when I want to test it with midp.exe
I use "cd output", "midp HelloMidp"
I receive the error "java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: HelloMidp"
I don't understand where is the problem.

in general it should work, if you are in the ouput dir (as you said), use the "-cp ." for classpath definition to the local directory and name the class (as you did).
try this "midp -cp . HelloMidp" from the directory, where the class is located. (you may add more paths seperated with ; to the cp (abbr. for classpath, should work also).
Well, and with the WTK, simply create a new project, put the HelloMidp in the src dir, specify it as MIDlet or Application and (build and) run it. I dont understand, why this should not work. Strange...

FTP error when trying to send crystal report to FTP destination
Hello experts.
I am trying to send a crystal report to a FTP destination. I have enabled the FTP destination on all servers that have a destination option. I am able to connect to the FTP site manually from the server that is running crystal reports server. However every time I try to run the report in CMC, it fails with the following message:
Error Message: connection error. CrystalEnterprise.Ftp: WSA11004
Any ideas on what this message means and how to fix the issue?Here's the details of the Note
Symptom:
Scheduling of the Crystal Report to FTP destination prompts the Error: Connection error, CrystalEnterprise.Ftp: WSA0.
Cause:
Every time when Crystal Report is scheduled to FTP destination, a connection is made to FTP server from server where job server is installed. If there is limitation on connection being made to FTP server then this error occurs.
Resolution:
For FTP sites in IIS:
- Open IIS Manager
- Go to Properties
- Click on the FTP site tab
- In FTP site connections, check for Connection limited to :
- When report is long running do check how much time it takes to complete scheduling. - Accordingly change the connection time out setting in Properties of FTP site.
- For FTP sites created using FTP Server applications, setting for Connection limited to and connection timeout will remain same. -

I have been trying to schedule a certification test through Prometric since last Friday (04 sep.), but I keep getting an error page ("Page Cannot Be Displayed") right after confirming the billing information (credit card number, etc.).
After that, when I check my history in Prometric, the test I just tried to schedule appears as "Cancelled".
I sent them and e-mail on Friday, and they only answered that they're sorry that I'm having troubles. I tried again today (Tuesday, 08 sep.) and I'm still facing the same problem.
Have anybody succesfully scheduled a test between Friday and Today? Maybe someone already experienced that same error, and can help me find a solution (if any)?
I know Prometric will no longer take care of tests after 25 sep., but I would really like to take the certification test before that date.

(1) Do you need to enable pop-ups for that site.
(2) Are you able to try a different browser
(4) Are you able to try from a different location; eg home instead of work?
(4) Are you able to book it by telephone? (cant remember if you can in Europe).
I guess at least by your history you are getting the right website.
I myself was going to try to book an exam beween 14th and 25th but I'd have to book it by the 14th and I might have issues rescheduling if I needed to .... so I am inclined to avoid those dates and wait for Pearson Vue myself.

I'm getting the error 'Marker id <num> not found' about 9 times out of 10 when I try to run unit tests in Flash Builder 4.5 Premium. This is happening on a new (2 weeks old) spark + mx project, with the unit test classes created in Flash Builder using the built-in tools. Using Run As or Debug does not seem to make a difference to whether the error occurs or not. I have to just keep retrying until it runs correctly.
I am using the AS Code Coverage plugin and the FlexUnit 4.1.
Please help as this is driving me mad!

Nullpointer error when trying to test dispatcher in Identity Center
Hi all,
I am getting a nullpointer exception when I am trying to test my dispatcher in Identity Center. In tools/options/java I have defined where the java.exe and jvm.ddl are located.
I had tried to use a Java 1.6 before, but I got a 126 error which did not get me as far. It was 64 bit, so I have installed various versions of Java 1.5 32 bit and have tried them all with the same result as below.
I am running Identity Center 7.2 the latest patch (7.20.3.0-ORA-2011-11-16 with schema 1050).
Simple fix?

Edited by: Chad Chromwell on Dec 7, 2011 6:25 PMI was able to get past the issue with testing the dispatcher. I added the mxdispatcher.jar and mxmcapi.jar to the classpath.
So the test of the dispatcher looks fine. But when I try to actually run a job in the Identity Center, nothing seems to happen. I ran these jobs in 7.1 without a problem, but not now. When I click run now on the job, an entry never appears in the System log or Job log for the Job. Used to before.
In the MMC, AS Java process is running and I can get to the NWA via the web broswer on port 50000.
Not sure what is wrong.

The message mapping consists of direct maps from each field in the source to the target (MT_TestMsg).
CaseNumber is the first field to be mapped.
In IR, I tested the interface and it works fine - no error in mapping.
I assume I cannot use the message generated in IR, because the SOAP envelope is required. (I tried anyway, and encountered the same error.)
Please advise how I can resolve this error.
