FTP Publish- test connection verified but can't publish

I am tring to publish a project to my FTP server.  When I test the connection, I get a message that the connection is successful (see below). However, when try to publish it, it tells me it cannot establish a connection.  Any thoughts?

Any chance that you are using a Proxy server? I have quite a few problems with my Captivate at work since all our traffic goes through corporate proxy servers.
Another potential cause could be if you are on a corporate network but the ports that are used for FTP traffic are blocked by your firewall.
So far I haven't found any way of fixing these problems.

  • DW CS3: test connection works, but local pages won't upload.

My MacBook Pro died, can'taccess files or apps and I don't have the CS3  install disks,  so I moved DW over from my Mac Pro.The test connection works, but local pages won't upload.I re-entered all the site info, confirmed I ahd all the correct FTP settings from my sertver tech guys. I even created a new site duplicating all the original info. BTW I have ALWAYS had this problem on the Mac Pro...Never been able to upload from that computer. All the other apps in CS3 work fine.

FileZilla worked. Thanks so much. Still wish I could figure out why
Dreamweaver won¹t transfer files, it would be easier than editing in DW and
then having to use Filezilla to transfer them. DW never transferred files on
the Mac Pro I had it installed on either (that¹s where I got it from when I
moved apps to my new MacBook Pro).

  • My phone is stuck on the verify Apple ID link, says I already verified but can not continue the process

I started the process to create a new Apple ID. Went to verify with my email, but when I click verify, it says I've already verified. I can not go back (with out a back button?,) I can not move on with out it verified, but my screen is still the same screen when I check my Apple ID reset page and that won't give me an option to move forward. Please help, I'm new to this stuff.

First, try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again.
If this does not work, set it up as new device, explained here:

  • ODBC 10.2 test connection success but MSAccess/Office throws ORA-12154

I've run into a difficult-to-solve problem. I'm troubleshooting an MSAccess to Oracle connection via Oracle ODBC driver issue.
MSAccess was giving ORA "long" datatype error (can't remember error number) when using 11.2.1 driver against a years-old, tried-n-true app that was previously well behaved (only diff is use of that app with newer Oracle ODBC driver). Web search revealed problems with 11.2 ODBC driver and MSOffice tools so decided to swith to older ODBC driver. Had 10.2 ODBC driver also installed so switched to that. Now get ORA-12154 every time I try to connect with MSAccess via Oracle ODBC. Using the ODBC Admin (32 bit) allows SUCCESSFUL connection as does tnsping & other tools that use Oracle Net. Only MSAccess (or other MSOffice tools) do not.
I've verified no other tnsnames.ora files or sqlnet.ora files available and have even gone as far as completely removing all things Oracle from the PC and reinstalling only the 10.2 client (custom mode; installed only the Oracle NET and ODBC 10.2 driver). I've turned on tracing to ADMIN level and read the trace files. trace for MSAccess call vs trace for ODBC administrator call yields nearly identical trace files till "niotns" step where the ODBC admin proceeds to connect and the MSAccess call just gives a few other coments then stops. NO apparent error messages. tnsnames IS found so don't understand why giving ORA-12154.
All tools connect (tnsping works, SQL*Plus connects, ODBC admin test sucessful, TOAD connects) EXCEPT MSAccess. Problem is I have many, many MSAccess legacy apps/tools and cannot go without the fully working ODBC connection between MSAccess and Oracle.
Help... desparate for new ideas to try since I've spent many hours searching and tried all known troubleshooting steps.
    Any ideas appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Mike

    Hi Mike,
I have a similar error. I can connect to database with TNSPING, and I can also connect with SQL Developer. But I am unable to connect with Access using ODBC, I get ORA-12154 error. Am also completely stumped. So if anyone can help, I would appreciate it too.
(P.S. I have tried on a number of PCs here in the office, on one PC I have here I can connect using Access and ODBC, I can see the tables, I pick on a table, it says "linking", but it never links - it just hangs forever.)
    Thanks for any pointers,
    Tom

  • Test print works but can't print from programs

I have installed an Officejet 6500A. Install went as expected and drivers were loaded ok. I can print a test  page and the maintenance utilites will print fine but it will not print from any of the Windows programs. I am connected via USB. Any ideas would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

So if I understand you correctly, the switch works with everything on the wired network (including the MacBook Pro). You can't see the wired network when connecting wirelessly on the MacBook Pro.
So you must have the switch attached to the airport extreme ethernet port. All of your other computers are attached to the switch.
Try to use the UNIX command ping in terminal.
    Example :
    Start terminal
    ping 10.xxx.xxx.xxx
where 10.xxx.xxx.xxx is the ip of a computer on your network
This will tell you if the computer on the network is visible.

  • ODBC test connection success but MSAccess throws ORA-12154

    My system details are,
    OS - Windows 7 - 64 bit
    MS-Office 2010 - 32 bit (Installed in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office")
    Oracle server/client 10.2 (Installed in "C:\oracle\product\10.2.0\client_1")
I can "successfully" create the ODBC connection to my oracle database via "C:\Windows\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe" (As my MS-Access in 32 bit, i need to use 32 bit ODBC component).
But, when I try to create/use the same in MSAccess -> External Data -> ODBC Database, I am getting the error "ORA-12154 TNS:could not resolve the connect identifier specified".
After spending couple of hours with debugging utilities, found the issue is in MS-Office installation path. The special character in the path "(x86)" is causing ORA-12154 error.
To ensure the same; I installed the Toad in "Program Files (x86)" folder, and tried connecting the same database. As expected, toad also gave ORA-12154 error (Which was working well in "C:\Toad").
Can you please let me know, is there a way/work around, we can make MSAccess 32 bit-> ODBC 32 -> Oracle 10.2 connectivity work in Windows 64 bit OS?
We cannot ask the end users to change the installation location of their MS Office from "Program Files (x86)".
Please let me know if you need more information.
    Thanks,

    I have the same issue.
I set up a DSN using Microsoft ODBC Administrator and I tested the connection.
However, when I tried using the DSN from Access, I get the above error.
    Anybody listening?

  • This question is for another computer. The verizon manager window opens and says a connection exists, but Firefox spins it's connection circle, but can't seem to resolve the website on screen. What's the problem?

I tried to upgrade my verizon manager software before with a similar problem. But, somehow by deleting the new version back then, and reinstalling the original older disk version, I had restored functionality with Firefox. This time, I accepted firmware updates to the modem as well as updated Verizon's Manager interface for broadband and I'm still having the problem and can't get Firefox to work with the Verizon manager. A broadband internet connection on these computers is my only option. But how come the Mozilla connection still works with the same modem on my netbook, while no longer working on the laptop? Please help trouble shoot. Thanks. - Ted Rickles

    HI,
Back up all your important data on all accounts and perform either an Archive & Install or Erase and Install, instructions here.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1545
First, boot from your install disc and run Disk Utility in case there are errors on the startup disk.
Insert your install disk and Restart, holding down the "C" key until grey Apple appears.
Go to Installer menu and launch Disk Utility.
Select your HDD (manufacturer ID) in the left panel.
Select First Aid in the Main panel.
*(Check S.M.A.R.T Status of HDD at the bottom of right panel. It should say: Verified)*
Click Repair Disk on the bottom right.
If DU reports disk does not need repairs quit DU and restart.
If DU reports errors Repair again and again until DU reports disk is repaired.
When you are finished with DU, from the Menu Bar, select Utilities/Startup Manager.
Select your start up disk and click Restart
While you have the Disk Utility window open, look at the bottom of the window. Where you see Capacity and Available. *Make sure there is always 10% to 15% free disk space*

  • VPN connection works, but can't ping or access any other device on remote network

I have an OS X Lion server at work (uses a static IP of 192.168.2.10). VPN is setup and works.
The work network's router has an IP of 192.168.2.1 and hands out IPs of 192.168.2.100-149. The VPN service is configured to hand out IPs of 192.168.2.150-170.
My home network uses a router with an IP of 192.168.1.1 and hands out IPs from 192.168.1.2-49
Both routers are using subnet mask of 255.255.255.0
The problem is, I can connect to the VPN just fine and access all services running on that same OS X server like iChat and AFP file sharing. But, I cannot directly access any other device on the office network like client machines or even trying to log into the router's GUI interface. Pings timeout, etc.
    Example:
At my home, I have a local IP of 192.168.1.12 and I connect to the work VPN. It assigns me an IP address of 192.168.2.151 and I'm able to connect to iChat on the OS X server that has a static IP of 192.168.2.10
In terminal, I try to ping the router on the work network (192.168.2.1) and I get no response (even though ICMP response is turn ON). I try to ping another OS X workstation on the work office, and get no response.
I'm not sure how to fix this, or whether I need to change settings on either router or the server.
Would greatly appreciate any insight or help on this. Thanks.

  • Airport Express will connect wired, but can't get it to connect wireless

I purchased three APE units specifically to connect my iTunes library to multiple house receivers.  I went through the setup for two of them, but as soon as I unplug the ethernet cable, the wireless network won't recognize them.  I tried rebooting the router.  DIdn't work.  Next I tried unplugging the APEs and plugging them back in, but unless the ethernet cable is connected I get ther persistent flashing amber light.  I should mention that my iTunes library resides on a PC running windows 7, but I also have a MacBook Pro, iPad and iPhone; all of which I will be using to controll my music if I ever get this to work.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

  • New MBPro...airport connection established but can not connect to the internet...help! suggestions?

Hi all, trying to set up my MBPro...seems to be connecting to my AirPort Base Station w/out any troubles...but when I try to get online I'm getting a "can't connect to the Internet" message. I checked my network settings, restarted multiple times, etc. No luck. Seems to be a problem with the IP address (I think)...but not sure how to resolve it. I have an iMac and iPhone in the house that are able to connect and get online w/out issues. Any thoughts? TY!!

Are you asking the make/model of the computer or the AX base station?
Neither, I was interested in the make/model of the cable modem.
Our ethernet connection was fried in an electrical storm so we had to go wireless.
Electrical storms are never a good thing when it comes to electronics. What was/is your current network configuration? Is it something like the following?
Cable modem > (Ethernet cable) > AX > (wireless) > wireless devices
Is there another router, other than the AX, in the configuration? ... or an Ethernet switch? I'm just trying to understand your network to best advise you on how to configure the AX.

  • Wi-fi connection good but can't connect to internet

I can't connect my Toshiba L455 to the Internet....it was working fine until last weekend I checked under device manager and I see it..however when I try to connect it tells me " Wireless Network Connection" not connected I keep trying to enable it but am having no luck. Any advice on what to do?

Hi When ever I have had that problem, I unplug the modem power, wait 30 seconds and plug it back in. If that doesn't work, I call my ISP. It's usually their problem, and they fix it for me.

  • 6230 connected successfully but can not synch. Out...

I've synchr. my 6230 with my PC (XP) for more than three years without problems. For a few weeks the synchronisation does not work anymore, the phone writes "keine Genehmigung" (no permission). I can see all the datas from my phone on my computer, I can download the photos, the musik-files and see the contacts, so it is correctly connected via bluetooth, but if I want no synchronise with my outlook, i get this error-code.
For the last 3 years it works without any failure.
Does anyone of you have any idea to solve this problem?

  • HT4436 I have created an Apple ID and it verified But Can't Create a icloud ID

I have just set up icloud on my PC. I have created an Apple ID and it verified. When I attempt to open icloud I receive an error message that I have an Apple ID but I need an icloud ID. When I attempt to create an icloud ID I receive a message that my email address is already in use and I must submit another address. I have no other email address and do not want to create one simply for an icloud ID. What do I need to do to be able to sign into icloud?

You may not create a new iCloud account using a PC, you must use a Mac (OSX 10.7 or later) or an IOS device (IOS 5 or later). Once that is done you may sign into the account from your PC.
