FTP Then Access Denied. Can't save or open the file. Also don't have permission

I am going insane. When FTP'ing files from Dreamweaver to our
hosting server, it sends the file but from that point on, if I
attempt to open or save the file, I get this error message:

Also, when I try to save after I have successfully FTP'd a
file, I get an error message saying I don't have permission to view
a file when I'm the one that made the file! It's so annoying! I
have Windows Vista and think that might have something to do with
it.
When I FTP a file to my server, close the file in Dreamweaver
8, then attempt to open it and get that "Access Denied" message as
I stated above, it seems like the only way to open the file is to
FTP the file BACK from my server to my computer. THEN it opens up.
Also, when I'm trying to save a file, say the index, I get a
message that has to do with cannot save file mfcesbi.tmp when I'm
trying to save the index... NOT mfcesbi.tmp. What's that about
anyways?
Also, I've done the whole "Right click Dreamweaver and set
permissions on the security tab" thing. Every possible permission
that I can check is checked to "allow" so that's not the problem.

Hello.
I can't save and open the file with special character in virtual drive(using communications). -> refer to this.. ( http://software.naver.com/software/summary.nhn?softwareId=MFS_105031 )
*Special character I used is 黒(not 黑).
If I rename the file name(黒.ai -> test.ai), the file is opend successfully.
And when I save the file as "Illustrator ver.8 format", the file is saved well.

Firefox now always stores the old session, and you can access it by going to the History menu and selecting "Restore Previous Session"
If you want Firefox to display the message to save the session, it can be turned back on by changing some preferences.

Using Network share io try to copy over my Windows files to the desktop of my iMac which I have done many times before successfully and now I get a message

You may need to rebuild permissions on your user account. To do this,boot to your Recovery partition (holding down the Command and R keys while booting) and open Terminal from the Utilities menu. In Terminal, type: ‘resetpassword’ (without the ’s), hit return, and select the admin user. You are not going to reset your password. Click on the icon for your Macs hard drive at the top. From the drop down below it select the user account which is having issues. At the bottom of the window, you'll see an area labeled Restore Home Directory Permissions and ACLs. Click the reset button there. The process takes a few minutes. When complete, restart.

Can I save an open PDF file as a .jpg using Acrobat Reader?

Is there some kind of ad-on or other (third party?) program which would allow Acrobat reader to save or convert a PDF to a JPG? I have the full version, along with Adobe Creative Suite, so I know I can do it with those programs. This is for a friend with whom I share files and he only had the Acrobat Reader.

How can I save or export the file containing stored usernames and passwords?

I'm about to update my desktop computer's operating system, which will mean my hard drive will be wiped. I want to save any file Firefox might have that contains usernames and passwords so I don't have to rebuild that file once Firefox is reinstalled. I've found such files for extensions and bookmarks but not for passwords.

I can view files I don't have permission to view!

OK so here is the setup: Mac Mini Server with a Drobo connected. 4 folders on the root of the Drobo all shared. Permissions on 3 of the folders are set to me as owner and everyone else as no access. the 4th folder is set up as me as owner and group as Read and write. My Main account on the server admin acc then there is my "Uploads" account for clients uploading files that is part of the group mentoned above . AFP only of the first 3 folders and AFP, SMB and web DAV for the last folder
Problem is: When I log in to the "Uploads" account I can still see all the files that are set as No access AKA the other 3 folder and there contents.
I have checked the permissions are propagated, that the "Ignore permissions" checkbox is un checked on the drobo.
As you can image this would be a HUGE security breach and I need it fixed ASAP a Nuke and pave did not fix it.
Ideas?

Items can't be copied... because you don't have permission to read them; Lion to Win XP

I have seen that others have this problem, too. I can't find a solution that has worked.
I am administrator on both source and dest volumes. I try to copy a file from the mac to the WinXP, and a dialog says "Finder wants to change something" and then it fails with the error message that I can't read the item. Not true, as I see I have read + write in both source and destination.
I ran disk utility permssions repair on the mac volume (don't see why this would work), and that did not help.

Well, I think I may have gotten it working...
I went to the "shared" server volume icon, and re-opened the pathway to the destination, and was able to copy the file to there. It seems that the folder aliases I had stored in the sidebar of finder were not up to snuff.
I have made new sidebar versions of my popular destinations, and it seems that I can copy to those locations.
Counterintuitive.

Can't migrate files "don't have permission to read" - how can I reset access?

I bought a mac mini, the mid 2010 model, it had Snow Leopard. I also have a PowerPC G5 running Leopard. So I migrated my files to the mac mini. Then a week later the new mac mini came out (last week). So, preparing to swap my new old mini for the new new mini I copied all my files BACK to the PowerPC. Got the new new mac mini, and of course it runs Lion. I tried to migrate my files but Lion and Leopard (not Snow Leopard, and it can't be upgraded because it's a PowerPC keep in mind) don't play well with each other. Fine. So I next tried to straight copy the files over my network. No go because I get this message:
Items can’t be copied to “Desktop” because you don’t have permission to read them.
I'm using the same login and password on both computers. Both are administrator level. The permissions for the systems themselves have been repaired. I've also tried to set the permissions to the files I want to migrate using this terminal command:
sudo chown -R yourusername:staff (and then dragging the folders I want blessed into the window)
no go... says I don't have permission to do so.
I tried "pushing" the docs from the other old computer to the new. Doesn't work
I'm trying copying to the Public folder now - and while it works for MOST of the documents many are still being left behind with the same permissions problem.
So, here's my question, given I've tried the above: How can you reset an entire folders contents to become absolutely "public"? There must be a way to do this that I'm missing. Again, I already realize I'm copying from different to new computers, but in Lion I can't seem to reset folder permissions to include "all subfolders" or "all files within this folder" (or whatever it used to say).

Thanks for the help Pondini (gave you a "Helpful Answer" 'star' ). A couple of things, so others have it in front of them:
Setup Assistant can only be used at first install - otherwise you have to reinstall to use it.
Second, it's "dumb" that you can't use network between Leopard and Lion. ARGH. - especially since the firewire ports are different on many newer and older macs (and I mean older as in just over 4 years - not that old really). However you can get adapters (that's the next thing to try) that will change the old pin (4 pin I believe) to the newer (9 pin I believe, have to check that one).
The 501 reference I can check, thanks - I recall seeing that long ago in poking around
On the Lion machine it reads
User ID: 501
Group ID: staff
On the Leopard machine I want to copy from TO the Lion machine it reads:
User ID: 501
Group ID: 501
So it seems possible (I'm not sure what I'm seeing - educate me please lol) that the Group ID's don't match, where the Lion machine is staff while the Leopard is '501' - does this matter?

I cannot save any files anywhere. I always get the message "You don't have permission to save in this location. Contact the administrator to obtain permission. Would you like to save in the {} folder instead?"
I have created a clean profile in Profile Manager, and used the Reset Firefox tool. The only way I can save files is to use another browser. IE and Chrome have no problems saving files to the exact same folders.
This seemed to have started with the last update on 10/5/2013.

Maybe something changed in the program shortcut you use to start Firefox. Can you check right-click > Properties > Compatbility tab and make sure nothing is selected there?

"The files appears to be unsupported or damaged" - I can't open the files in any software

I have just returned from a trip where i was on the road for 7 weeks and out of 5000 shots have 30 corrupted DNG files, one of which i would love to save please can you help? My work flow:
Shoot DNG files using Leica M9
Take SD card out sporadically and using SD card reader mount on Macbook air (very old) v1
Open Lightroom 4 on macbook air import to HD
Drag and drop in Lightroom on to external HD
Realised pretty soon some thing was not right with images but continued work flow with out problems with any other import
On returning home i imported project into a new LR5 project on my 15'' Macbook pro running OsX10.8.5, processor 2Ghz intel i7 with 8gb ram
IN LR 5.5(just updated) on my Macbook pro & Macbook air LR4 I can see the preview of the corrupted images in library mode but when go to Develop i get the "The files appears to be unsupported or damaged". In Photoshop CS5 i get "Could not complete your request because Photoshop does not recognise this type of file"
The corrupt files are the same size 36.4MB as the non corrupt images suggesting the info is there. Is there software anyone can suggest that will open the file with the corruption so i can some how fix in photoshop? The SD card was one of many used and was over written many times after so i can not retrieve the images that way i'm afraid.
Any help would be greatly appreciated and i can forward you a copy of the file if you have the time.

Exactly what was not right?
Most likely a hardware problem causing corruption in the transfer of files from SD card to your computer. It could be the SD card itself, card reader, hard disk or memory.
Side issue:
Open Lightroom 4 on macbook air import to HD
Drag and drop in Lightroom on to external HD
why don't you save yourself a step and import directly to the external HD (and thus also produce one less place where file corruption can happen)?

I have just managed to complete a test installation of 11i (after 4 weeks and 2 sets of disks).
H/W is P3 500, 512 MB RAM 80 GB HDD running W2K advanced server.
Everything went well, and I managed to log in using both sysadmin/sysadmin and services/welcome.
I can log into the database fine using SQL*PLUS or TOAD.
After coming back from lunch, I am now getting the message "You don't have permission to access /pls/VIS/oraclemypage.home on this server" after the login page. I have made no changes and no-one but me has access to the server.
Does anyone have any experience of this error and hopefully a solution?

1. check your dbc file in FND_TOP/secure.
2. there is a cfg file under iAS/Apache/modplsql/cfg called wdbsvr.app
check the apps password there as well.

Safari "you don't have permission to access the resource"

I'm developing a website in html5 and I'm using <audio> tag and a mp3 remote http://xxx/xxx.mp3 into a "src" attribute.

When I open this website in Safari on my Macbook, it works but when i'm openning on my iphone, it doesn't work.
The player is loading and show me the alert: "You don't have permission to access the resource".
It works emulating iphone on Safari Developer Menu on my Macbook too.
What am I doing wrong?

I went to the site on my PC and it is Flash, which iOS devices do not support.
To check to see if it was Fash because of the PC browser saying it was a PC, I went there on the my iPad, Same, it is was Flash.

I think you have downloaded .img file. If you want to install that program follow the given instruction.
download open source magic disc viewer software.

After installation, right click on notification icon of magic disc, click Virtual CD/DVD ROM -> No Media -> Mount,
Select disc image file of project professional 2013.img.
Open My Computer -> select mount drive and install that program.
