FUBAR'ed on day 1

My Satellite T215D-S1140RD arrived today. I set up my daughter's acct as she was anxious to see it work. Got it on the home network and it was smokin ! Very fast little puter. So Windows or Toshiba breaks in with an update and keeps annoying her to Reboot. She do.
Now her P/W won't work.
So I have the Win7 Home Prem 64 bit disk. I have an Office Disk I have a USB optical drive. I'm D/L'ing all Drivers for OS from Toshiba site as I post.
Question - What other progs or apps do I need to D/L to get the system working after I reformat with Win7 disk and install OS and drivers? i.e. Toshiba Account Extractor is mentioned in a driver Read Me.

Never mind.
The Bios won't recognize the Optical Drive. So I'll be calling the Tech # and or going to the local puter shop to see if they have a prog to hack P/W's. Most bummed.

No need to install anything. Best to restore the hard disk to its original factory-new contents using Toshiba recovery media. Then everything is already installed. See the section Recovering the Internal Storage Drive, which starts on p. 58 of the User's Guide.

RX1950 Pro weird problem

i had just bought this new graphic card. but when i install it the window won't boot up. there was no display on the monitor. I had checked everything such as the cable connection and etc but still it wont start. the fan was working and the power and hdd light was on but still no progress. it tried to install my old 1600xt back in and it work find. it the problem related to the new vga card?

ok, figured i would bump this thread rather then making a new one, as i have exactly the same problem as the original poster but i have had a little more success with booting my machine.
Specs:
Amd athlon64 3000+
abit kv8-pro
Coolermaster rp650 2x +12 rails both at 18a
So i will try to explain as best i can as english is not my first language and my grammar is , ok here goes: I bought my radeon x1950 i couple of days ago and i was running my system on a sub-par psu i knew it would not work but i had to try anyway right?, i had the exact results as the org. poster nothing happened my monitor said no signal comp booted but no screen, so i went out and bought a used psu with a money back guarantee, came home fitted i booted.. ahh success windows was up and running i opened firefox figuring i would go hunt for drivers i some artefacts and boom no signal monitor shuts down (and yes i cleaned all drivers, updated my 4 in 1 drivers i even updated my bios)
Booted again windows loading screen comes up, monitor dies after that the monitor just said:no signal when i booted
so i installed an old card i had Riva tnt2 ultra and decided to check amperage with a couple of different software tools
and they all said that my +12 v was running at ~6.70 so i figured the the used psu was fubar.
Next day bought a new psu a cooler master extreme power rp650 with with both +12v rails running at 18a.
Installed everything, booted w00t it worked, installed the drivers started surfing and searching for my Oblivion disk leaving the computer after about 1 hours running time i figured i would check the amperage it still said +12v 6.7 and as i gazed at the values wondering what was wrong the computer decided that it was time to take away my moment of "little boy at christmas" feeling giving me the no signal and shutting down the monitor... So i was back at square one, checked the amperage with a couple of different softwares knowing that software monitors are not to be trusted
it was a 50x50 deal half said all is good the +12v vas running at optimal levels and the rest said ~6.7 one even said it was running at 16.50
So now i am wondering is it the card,the psu or the motherboard, i believe (hoping) it's the mobo as this is my third Gfx card i have hooked up to it in about 4 years, so it has taken its share o punishment but what i was wondering if anyone with a little more experience in dealing with these kind of things could give their opinion on the situation,
i am thinking that its a power problem but it could be the card.
Ok this post grew allot bigger than intended but in my defense i was trying to make it as clear as possible but my guess is that i have achieved the opposite, but thank you for reading if you did.

Having a big problem with my 6 day old macbook, please help!

My macbook was working fine, I haven't had much of a chance to install the hardware that came with it until tonight though. I was starting to install the first disk that came with my macbook, when I saw that it would take over 3 hours to install. SInce I need to go to bed early I decided to cancel and figured I could start tomorrow after work.
Well, I turned my mac back on to see if it was still alright, and my mac hd is missing off the desktop, it doesn't even show the main toolbar/taskbar that's across the top of the screen unless I'm in safari. A message keeps coming up that says spotlight quit unexpectedly. I tried hitting all three options (ignore, report, and restart) different times and the window still keeps coming up.
I put the disk back in my computer to see if I could just start to install it again but the computer isn't even recognizing that there is a disk in there.
PLEASE HELP ME!! This is a brand new computer and I can't afford for it to break.

I hope you invested in AppleCare. It extends your warranty for three years and also gives you three years of phone support. MacBooks come ready to use, as far as I know. The discs that come with it contain software, not "hardware" are provided in case of problems. Take your MacBook back to the Applestore and they will take care of the problem. If it is unfixable, they will replace your MacBook, but you only have fifteen days, after which, they will repair your MacBook, but not replace it (unless it is totally FUBAR) Your sales person should have explained all this to you. OK, I downloaded the utility, but during the installation process I was advised to shut down Outlook, or restart it after installation. I immediately cancelled the installation. Obviously, this thing is going to muck about with Outlook. I don't want anything to be touching or looking at any of my installed program unless I tell it too AFTER I fully understand what it is doing and how to reverse the whole process in case it gets mucked up.
I looked for a manual or some sort of documentation on the configuration utility, but there does not seem to be any.
Anyone have a link to program documentation for

I find it incredilble that there does not seem to be a stand alone, plug the usb cable in, and make a back up (system image) of an iPhone. After all, the thing seems to be hand held computer. Why not have a simple back up utility? Even the newer phones only have, what, a few GB. Lots of images would fit on an outboard TB disk.
Then if every thing gets FUBAR, simply restore the phone the the last working image.
Does no one keep controled squential backups of iPhones and iPads like you should do with any other computer, workstation or laptop that is a serious business tool?

iCloud? I'd be fired if the boss caught me putting client contact information on 'the cloud' or anything outside my secured hard drives. (Unless we have a specific paid contract for services).

chkdsk /f, diskpart, rescan etc
but no result :( (i mean all processes failed. They could not detect the drive).
Please help me to get those data, pictures and project files.

You need to talk with the tax authorities in the countries to which you traveled and that of your home country. We are all end-users liek you and not Apple agents.

Wrong display of No. of days worked in Payslip for mid-month joining

Dear Experts,
We use PE51, form editor for payslip for indian payrol. Our issue is when an employee joins mid of the month or say 4th of any month, still in payslip it shows no. of working days as 30/31 days instead of actual days worked. But pay results are correctly being calculated on factoring basis.
Please let me know how to resolve it, we use PCR ZNP1 for factoring which is written as follows

in that case the Requirement is to display no of working days of employee in a month

Total Calendar Days - Unpaid days - Paid days = working days ( please check the said one again since i have inculded the paid days and unpaid days if u want u can remove paid days)
so in order to fetch this
we need Calendar days that is TKSOLL
Unpaid days   check the technical wage types /845 Paid days /846 ( you can have custom wage types too)
Copy a wage type from standrad overtime wage type that will be 1555

New Project - New Problems or The day the Reaper died

Ok, this is more like telling a story than a cry for help.
The story is about a new project, new (great) results and the disaster that followed.
Well story starts October 21st with me upgrading rig 1 with new parts. They came for my Opteron165 setup which oc'ed nicely but didn't make it far enough. So board, cpu and ram of rig 1 (sig) got replaced by the following parts:
The new cpu is an Athlon X2 5200+ EE (TDP 65W), 2.6ghz, 2x 1024kb L2 cache, 90nm, F3 stepping.
The board is from MSI (of course), a K9N SLi Platinum. Very nice board and luckily it is PCB version 1.2 which features a heatpipe while the older version just had a very bad cooling, passive aluminium heat sink. The older version is the one still to be seen on MSI product site.
The new one looks therefor way better and stays cooler:
In addition I threw a pair of the finest ddr2 ram in it. A 2gb dual channel kit of OCZs new DDR2 PC2-6400 Reaper CL3 Edition. DDR2-800 with 3-4-4-15 (stock), guranteed to work with 2.3volts.
So suppositions for oc were great and I started:
First of all upgraded the bios from 1.8 to the latest 1.10. Then I thought why go step by step, why not starting big. So I set HT clock to 250mhz, resulting in a cpu clock of 3250mhz (multi 13), Hyper transport link set to 800mhz (x4), ram very relaxed (divider 667, 5-5-5-15 2T). It didn't post but I thought solution is easy, forgot to set extra voltage for cpu. Next try at 3250 mhz with 1.25v and set 0.1v extra in bios. It didn't post. I set voltage to maximum but no luck. Tried again but this time I lowered the HT link to 600mhz (x3). Now it posted even with 1v extra and it also booted XP but seemed to be not very stable. So set extra voltage to 0.15v which enhanced stability greatly.
After minor driver problems my old XP installation worked pretty perfectly with the new setup. Time had come to see if it was stable and I started Orthos. It seemed to be ok, 1hour no problems, 2hours, 3hours and bam... 3hours 40 minutes and that's it. I thought "Damn, but it will make it with more voltage". I added more voltage (0.2v extra) and started Orthos again but no way, at 4hours 32 minutes it stopped again.
I'm not easy to discourage and so I added 0.25v to the 1.25v vcore and tried another time. Still 250x13 = 3250mhz.
And it worked!
Orthos now easiely worked six hours when I stopped it myself to see if it would also be stable with more intensed ram settings. I set ram divider to 800mhz (1:1) resulting in DDR2-929 and timings to 4-4-4-15 2T.
I started Orthos and left the machine alone... Outstanding 16 hours later it was still working!
After 17hours 5 minutes and 50 seconds of running Orthos I knew I had a stable beast!
It also worked with ram set to divider 667 (resulting in 406mhz or ddr2-812) and 3-4-4-15 2T. However 1T was a real killer, thats why I left command rate at 2T and were happy so far.
Performance was really good and I wanted to know if this would increase my 3dmark06 results which were already great with old setup because of nicely oc'ed 8800GTS 320. The opteron could do 9572 3dmarks with it.
The new setup easiely broke the 10.000 points by reaching 10306 points with cpu at 3250mhz, ram at ddr2-929 (4-4-4-15 2T), vga as seen in sig.
It really seemed to be finished. The rest would be just playing around and going for suicide clocks. At least that was what I thought at that time.
Before maxing it out I wanted to have the Vista 64 Ultimate installation also running with the new setup. I hadn't booted vista since upgrading to the am2 system, so I tried for the first time....
AND NOW EVERYTHING GOT F***** UP
Vista welcomed me with a blue screen instead of a logon screen. I was pi**** but aware it might not like changing from NForce4 SLi to NForce 570 SLI. Next step was trying safe mode but vista thought of blue mode and showed a screen of that colour. I thought "ok, maybe you dislike setup change" and so I went for a clean install. I even formated the partition and gave it a go. Installation was fine 'til first start. Well, it wasn't a start to be honest as vista told me it was not able to do this. Repair wasn't successful either.
Assumption was now system is not making the oc clocks although proved to be stable under XP. So I removed any oc and loaded fail-safe mode in bios. Relaxed ram timings to 5-5-5-18. I started installing vista again, thought I could oc again when it is installed.
Oh boy, how wrong I were... The 2nd installation turned out to be as faulty as the first and I tried again and again... After installation failed nine times I were finally discouraged.
I just wanted to boot XP for now, forget about installing vista and maybe ask here if it this was a known issue.
Well, I didn't get to see XP. I was just informed about a missing file that also prevented to boot safe mode. I took my XP cd and started automatic repair. After this was nearly finished the first errors and notifications about unknown, missing or corrupted files appeared. Although XP made it to finish install and booted successfully. But this XP wasn't a real XP as many things didn't work. I couldn't install drivers because loads of errors and crc crap made working with it impossible. Clear install time! But no way, same issues like seen in vista.
Now I were pretty desperate and I urgently needed an idea. I came to the solution maybe I could try with single channel, using just one mem stick. I removed one and tried installing XP again. It worked without any issue. Even driver installation and other software worked without a problem. Now I were even able to install Vista.
But still I didn't know what caused all the trouble. I had three suspects: Mobo, ram, cpu. I doubted in faulty board but cpu (failing to control dual channel) or the ram stick I removed were my favorites. As it was the easiest to try I put the other stick back in but used a slot combination that would cause single channel. Booting Vista now turned out to be a disaster. Errors, corrupt files and so on. Same with XP.
Conclusion: Dual channel is not the problem. Added mem stick was now suspect no.1. I took the first one out and started memtest. Memtest didn't show errors after 8hours. I wondered and started Vista. Result was the same as seen before with two sticks. Errors and access violations. Replaced this stick with the other one and everything was fine again.
Next day I tried with a borrowed MDT 2gb dual channel kit which also worked without a problem.
Sad but true one of the Reapers is K.I.A. . Damn....
Now I'm sitting here with a borrowed kit of value ram which luckily allows me to let the cpu run at 3250mhz with mem divider at 667mhz (result: 406mhz) and which I can luckily keep 'til I get another kit of Reapers. I have to send my current Reapers back to vendor these days and wait for the rma process and wait and wait....
So what started greatly ended not so great. For now I'm sick and tired of seeing bios screens or installing windows and I'm also pretty pi**** because of all the data I lost. Some crucial ones among them.
Main problem remains: I have no idea WHY the Reaper died. I never set any higher vdimm than 2.3v what should be ok for it. It never felt hot and was directly in the main airflow. Also I have no clue why memtest didn't find any error with the faulty stick.

That's true for HD2900 series I think but as far as I know 8800GTX needs it even for stable working.
Could be your psu is too weak, maybe really time for the new Corsair. On the other hand should be strong enough I guess.

yes you are right the CPU perform great, but its just old..(is not CPU fault in direct sense )

Yes im aware about it, but not this is the case.. i got instability even with 2Mhz on the GD more...SD remain @ stock 1350 and memory stock as well.. and go instability...
Reversed story if i put everythink is stock, but +2Mhz more on the memory i got the same instability....

hmm nope here, its locked increasing GD clock inscrease SD clock as well. they are locked and increased in parallel.(etc, both in same time)

mem. chips used are for 1000Mhz the VGA stock, MSI is not OCed them.. so they must have potencial.. also VGA is adverted with DOT... at least its designed to handle till 5-6% OC, i have done few review(don't trust much here,but anyway its an info) and user opinion no problem to OC till 2100Mhz(1050). So i doubt that is memory problem.

Yes that is the only conclusion which i can stuck at the moment... Good news is that i have talked with distributor today and they ensured me that will delivered tomorow for me. So tomorow i will know more about that mistery when i install the more powerful(and hope so great) PSU.

Hi, I was trying to copy and paste a lot of info for one day on my calendar to another day and an error message popped up saying that the system responded with an error. Msg won't go away I force quit ical

Need help for trying to unfreeze a message on my ical. I was trying to copy and paste some appointment info from one day to another on my ical and a message popped up saying the system responded with an error. All of my info was below the message. I can't get that message to go away or work on the ical now at all. I try to force quit ical and have shut down the computer and it still comes up. Any suggestions?

Try removing the com.apple.iCal.plist file from your Macintosh HD/Users/yourusername/Library/Preferences Folder. To find that Library folder, if you are using Lion, use Finder>Go Menu>Depress the "Option" key>Library. Drag the .plist file to your desktop, and log out/in or restart.
Next, make sure that you are not connected to the internet. Then to to your Macintosh HD/Users/yourusername/Library/Calendars Folder and remove any files with "Cache" as a part of the file name. Use the same method as listed above to get to the correct Library Folder. Log out/in, or restart and check iCal for functionality.

Service Requests Open 5 days?/Service Requests Open and Closed Today

How would I determine service requests open greater then 5 days, I use the # of Open SR's but cannot seem to get a date to work.
Also what is the best way to count the SR's open and closed on the same day?

You need to include a TIMESTAMPDIFF function in your filter... something to the effect of
TIMESTAMPDIFF(SQL_TSI_DAY,"Service Request"."Create Date",CURRENT_DATE) > 5
Double check the column reference.

Anyone know how to write the query for G/L account opening & closing balances by day?
I found this in the forum and modify it to below:

but some of the rows are missing from the result. e.g. row with the same value of debit/credit ( same TransId and BaseRef) will come out once only in the result.
Please guide me on the above issue.

Hi,
You have to make use of many tables for this purpose.
1. You have to claculate the previuos period and finscal year for the given date..
2. You have to calculate the G/L balances for this period for the given G/L account from table GLT0.(You can use some of the standard function modules for the same)
3. You have get the line items from the various tables like BSIS,BSAS,BSIK, BASK, BSID and BSAD for the dates from the begining of the month to the given date-1. sum upthis amount with the amount retrieved from step 2 .This will be the opening balance for the given date.
4.retrieve the data from he same tables like step 3 for the given date. This will the transactions of the given date.
5. sum up the amounts from step 4 with step 3. this will be the closing balance for that date.

here i want to filter the data on system date,
i wnt the report to pick the date dynamically based on the system date.
but i think restricting on calmonth and calday is not going to solve my scenario..

Material opening and closing stock for a given day- Tables or FM

Dear Friends
i have to make a report , related to Material opening and closing stock for a given day , i check the T-Code- MB5B ,
it is not giving correct date . is any functional module is available ? . i checked some table like mbew , mard . it is also not giving correct requirement . Please help

Goto transaction MC.9, Give your Material and,Plant and the date which you need to know the closing stock. Do make sure that in the high and low values you are giving the same date there.
