Fujitsu-Siemens P24W-3 LCD flickers
Hi guys,
i connected a Fujitsu-Siemens P24W-3 LCD (1920 x 1200, 60 Hz) to my new MacBook Air using the Apple Mini DisplayPort to DVI Adapter and the display flickers.
If I connect it with the Apple Mini DisplayPort to VGA Adapter it does not flicker but the image looks terrible, washed out.
If I connect the display to the DVI port of my old MacBook Pro, it does not flicker.
Therefore, I think the issue is with the adaptor, which should support the specs of 1920 x 1200 at 60 Hz.
I tried another Apple Mini DisplayPort to DVI Adapter: the image flickers, albeit less.
Help? Shall I try to return the adapter?
Do you think it will help if I buy a Mini DisplayPort to HDMI Cable?

[Solved]Synaptics Touchpad not working at all on Fujitsu Siemens UH552
Hi,
I have just installed Arch on my Fujitsu Siemens UH552 laptop. Everything works except for the touchpad which seems to get loaded by Xorg, but when in X it doesn't work. I have tried both using /dev/input/event* and /dev/input/mouse0 as device paths, neither works.
xf86-input-evdev and xf86-input-synaptics are installed.
I have tried running both with the default 10-evdev.conf, with 10-synaptics.conf, with both, and without both.
TLDR SOLUTION: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 3#p1189603
My current 10-synaptics.conf:
Section "InputClass"
Identifier "Touchpad Catchall"
MatchIsTouchpad "on"
MatchDevicePath "/dev/input/event*"
Driver "synaptics"
Option "TapButton1" "1"
Option "TapButton2" "2"
Option "TapButton3" "3"
EndSection

psmouse serio1: bad data from KBC - timeout
Last edited by flako (2012-11-08 09:44:59)I have tried doing that with both linux mint, and now fedora live usb. Neither one loads the touchpad correctly. So yeah, our problems weren't really related
Anyway, I tried looking into the
psmouse serio1: bad data from KBC - timeout
messages, and tried running psmouse proto (defined in /etc/modprobe.conf/psmouse.conf) as both raw and imps as per https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+s … ion/206950 Unfortunately, that didn't solve anything. Using the raw setting meant that the touchpad wasn't loaded at all (as in not appearing in the Xorg.log at all).
The laptop is quite new, but at the same time what i figured from the touchpad vendor & product ID, the touchpad itself isn't. So it should technically work. Before installing arch i booted into windows to see if everything worked, and found no issues with the touchpad. So I have ruled out any hardware errors. Maybe its just the Fn-key that doesn't work yet in Linux? But that doesn't explain the "psmouse serio1: bad data from KBC - timeout" Any pointers to where I should look/ what commands I should run to delve deeper into this issue?

How do i connect my macbook pro to another screen (a fujitsu siemens) i got the cable for it but i want to know the settings so i transfer desc to the fujitsu screen.
Welcome to Apple Support Communities
If you have the cable, just connect it to both and the desktop will show up on the external display. Then, you can select different modes, changing arrangement in System Preferences > Displays > Arrangement, or using shortcuts > http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5019 -
Mac Mini using Fujitsu Siemens monitor
I am using a Fujitsu Siemens monitor with my new Mac Mini.
What is displayed on it is too large for the screen and I have to keep moving the bar from left to right and using the up and down arrows.
Also I can't see the Apple icon so that I can get the Apple menu .
Any help please?Under Display settings u can change the zoom....so u can get in the screen. I'd the same problmen with my TV.

Time Capsule WiFi disconnects when a Fujitsu Siemen Laptop with b/g network
Time Capsule WiFi disconnects when a Windows Vista based Laptop with "b/g" network connects. When i use Macbook with "n" Network.
Surprising that TC and MacBook both from Apple can't stay connected when Fujitsu Siemens Laptop joins through WiFi.
I use a DSL Modem (Speed 1 Mbps) connected thru ethernet to Time Capsule on Bridge Mode.Yes, n is better, but if you have it running on b/g/n (since you have to with your b/g only notebooks) the n is inactive. Kind of a waste. Others have resorted to adding another wireless router which one set to b/g/n and the other n-only.

Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo 3000-series
I'm thinking about replacing my Asus EEE with a laptop which is "more capable". I was going to buy Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo Pa 3515 when I read that Ati radeon HD3200 is now supported in catalyst. Still wanting to know if anyone in the arch community has these new stylish black and white laptops from Fujitsu-Siemens.
Here are the specs for 3515:
* AMD Turion™ 64 X2 Mobile Technology RM-70
* Windows® Vista® Home Premium (Arch is going to replace this, ofcourse)
* 2048 Mt DDR II 667 Mhz
* 250 Gt SATA
* Super Multi Dual Layer DVD-drive
* 15,4" TFT WXGA Brilliant View
* WLAN
* Webcam and mic
So does anyone know how well these devices are supported. Thanks for replies in advanceOkay here is the listing from lsmod when run in ubuntu:
Is anyone willing to tell me what I'm looking for. What should i configure in order to make my arch install boot without acpi=off?

MS-6353 (fujitsu-siemens)
ogy? If you read this please help. I have read a thread about this board but nothing was made concrete to me from what I got out of it.
I can say that I got that it will run a 1.1 gig but didn't get where he found the bios to upgrade it to take the 1700 xp. Also if anyone can point me to a manual (mine came without one) much appreciated.http://www.nforcershq.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=870&highlight=6353

External LCD Flickers Pink?
I'm running a MBP 2.0ghz core duo with an ATI Radeon 1600 video card. I've noticed that my external LCD monitor flickers from time to time a pink color or will have a pink hue to it. I've checked the video cables and nothing seems to be out of the ordinary. The picture on the MBP screen is fine, I have no problems. My personal opinion is my external LCD is dying, it's about 5-7 years old. Does anyone have a different opinion or agree with mine?
Connect a different external monitor to the MBP and see whether it displays similar anomalies. If it behaves itself properly, things don't look so good for your old monitor. The good news is that you can buy a much better monitor today for less money than that one cost.

Fujitsu-Siemens Myrica V32-1 DVI-D
Hi all,
I tried to connect this LCD-TV to a Mac mini using the DVI-D connection without success. VGA works fine. I suspect a problem with HDCP, which the Myrica V32 supports/needs on its DVI-D port.
Any suggestions or do we have to wait for another video card / software update on the Mac side ??
Thanks, ThiloTry using DisplayConfigX to build a custom timing with reduced blanking. This should add stability to the DVI connection. In DisplayConfigX, click on the Resolutions tab and then click on the "+" at the lower left corner of the window to start a new resolution. Set the scroll menu at the top of the New resolution window to "Timing" and enter the following values in all the boxes:
1680 [Active] 1050
48 [Front porch] 3
32 [Sync] 6
80 [Back porch] 21
Click on the "Refresh rate" button at the bottom of the page and type 60 (Hz). Now click Enabled and Done and the timing should become saved and selectable. Good luck. -
G41 LCD flickers then goes dark
My G41 LCD began acting up yesterday. For what it's worth, the LCD would turn back on for a few minutes after closing and opening the lid, then flicker and go dark. As I had trouble shot a bad NVIDEA card a couple of months ago, I decided to check for loose connections in the LCD cable and get the FRU number from the inverter card. After reseating the cable, before putting all the access covers back on I powered it on. It came up fine for about 15 minutes and while I was looking at it a snap and puff of smoke came from the inverter card and the machine powered down. I pulled the cable from the NVIDEA card and it works fine with an external monitor. I know I need an inverter card. Does that sound like all I need?
Solved!
Go to Solution. If you're lucky, yes....
Should the machine blow another inverter, you may have to replace the backlight as well...
Good luck and keep us posted.
Cheers,
George

LCD flickering and miss aligned
hello,
can anybody help me????
when i turn on my laptop a85s107 the whole display is not on the normal position... as if the whole display is moved maybe .25 inches to the lower right... that is upon boot up... until on the window state, my task bar cannot be viewed...and the display also flickers...
hope someone can give me tips on how to resolve this issue..
thank you so much
francisHi All of you,
i hope I figured it out. I have no more Black screen issue & flickering since I did below yesterday:
1. Found advise from a user and Killed process called "warmd", process user: unknown.
http://developer.apple.com/library/mac/#documentation/Darwin/Reference/ManPages/ man8/warmd.8.html
2. WHen my Screen went black sporadically, My Ipad was connected and nearby my MAC Book , I relocated it further away (I read about interference issues)
3. I right clicked on battery icon and it showed me that Battery needs Service. I fully re-cahrged and re-booted my Pro and WoohLah, Battery status was back to normal....
4. I switched GPU >> Installed programm called GFXcardstatus (you can Google that)
5. In Finder:Applications
Utilities
Terminal:app
enter:......... sudo pmset -a lidwake 0 ....... to reverse replace 0 with 1
enter your computer password..........
This sends your laptop to sleep on closing but on opening tap any key to wake.According to advise by other user on the net this has stopped his issue with black screen and lastly I performed it after step 1-4.
Not sure what caused it tho but fiddeling around with above sorted my issue. -
Right side of my LCD flickers, but not when connected to external display
The right side of my display flickers lines and inverted colors, but when it is connected to a display (with mirroring) there is no flicker. I have reset PRAM and SMC. Macbook Pro Mid 2012 2.3 GHz A1398.
I should note that when connected to an external display there is no flickering on either display.

I'm considering that Sony display for use with a PowerPC Mac Mini. I'd appreciate hearing of anyone's experiences with it.
Thanks.I had a similar issue with my new Fujitsu Siemens W19-1 LCD connected as external monitor to the notebook (i915). No matter what I used the LCD was not properly set. Then I found that using gtf (from xorg) I could produce a Modeline for xorg.conf that gave same result as yours. Correct resolution but the image shifted (only it was shifted to the right about 10cm). Pressing "auto" button on the LCD fixed things but only until next reboot. I experimented with different refresh rates in gtf and found that "overclocking" it a bit forced my LCD to auto fix the mode (just like by pressing "auto" button). This seems to work well so far. LCD info mode says I'm using 66 Hz but I used 70 Hz as a parameter for gtf (gtf 1440 900 70). I guess it's not that important. Everything seems stable and clear.
