Full Bars to Searching to No Service
Hello,
I have an issue with my iPhone 5.
Once I woke up this morning, I noticed my AT&T service cycles and fluctuates from full bars to one bar to searching to no service. The cycle is continuous and takes approximately 30 to 60 seconds to complete causing a consistant issue with phone calls and data access. I have not made any recent changes to the phone. Only charged it overnight.
I have already reset the Network Settings twice.
Thoughts?
I called them and they said multiple towers in my area are down. I do not buy it. My wife's iPhone has no issues.

My iphone 4 Carrier signal is very weak just shows one bar and often shows No Service followed by searching and again one signal bar I have had a lot of drop calls, I have tested the sim card on my Samsung Ace which shows full Signal strength I am on the latest iphone firmware 5.1.1 with 4.12.01 baseband I have tried resetting the iphone did o full restore twice. I guess there is something wrong with the iphone hardware? Has anyone had similar issues and how they fixed it?
Take the device to Apple or an Apple authorized service center and let them check it out.

I am trying to install Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2. I get the error bellow (Database Services Engine Failed, SQL Server Replication Failed, Full Text Search Failed, Reporting Services Failed). I already have a copy of SQL Server 2008 R2 on the machine.
I want to create a new named instance of SQL Server for some software I'm installing.

If you see error descriptioon it gives access denied so basically it is because of some access issue.I guess You must be using some domin account for installation make sure it is added as local administrator also instead of using NT Authority network
service as SQL server service account use local system account .

Full Bars = Have Data services?
I've been noticing for the past 2-3 days (I live in the southeast) that despite having full bars, I only get data working 60% of the time (That is out of 10 times I fire up safari I get no connectivity). At my office, I have full bars and have no problems receiving calls. Is this to be expected or should I expect to have data services when I have a full signal?
I have trouble getting a data connection a lot. Called AT&T and they said the bars are for the phone, not the data. There is no way to tell what kind of data signal you are getting (other than a constantly spinning whirly thing and error messages after it can't connect). The AT&T support person was totally unhelpful and said I was out of luck. The next day a friend of mine called and they gave her 3 things to try when you can't get a data signal.
1. Switch to airplane mode, then back to regular connection
2. Turn your phone off for about 5 minutes the turn it on again
3. Reset all of your network settings
this *****. Hope Apple and AT&T fix the data network problems soon. We ARE paying $30/month for it. -

For wifi - you would have to reenter the password. I'm not sure about celluar data. -
I just activated my iPhone 5s from my 4s. Everything looks great, I even have full bars, However I can not dial out. I have no service but full bars?
I have tried everything from resetting the network settings to turning the phone on and off. HELP!@GJE,

Why when playing downloaded music on my mac through my appletv (I have distributed audio so play it through speakers not actually on the television), which is sent wireless from mac to the apple tv, does the music sometimes skip like a scratched record or stop playing (in pause mode) altogether and won't start again when I hit play? I have full bars on the wireless icon. Anyone experience this?

So i read that the Database is OK, but the Index is broken somewhow ?
I`ve read somewhere that i should delete the GUID Folder and restart the Hostcontroller service, can somebody explain HOW to do this ? where can i Find the GUID Folder ? Is it the correct way to solve this problem ?

after i removed the suggested Folder, i disabled both "Microsoft Exchange Search service and Microsoft Exchange Search Host Controller service, than i restarted the Exchange Server.
After that i restarted both services.
Sadly nothing has changed, hostcontroller.exe is still crashing:

Full bars can't make or receive calls or texts at home.
Just about 25 days back with Verizon and my iphone says I have full bars yet and can't make or receive a call or text from my house this started this week same issue with my moms razr phone as well. I sent the support email a message love the well get back to you in 24hrs. Well 24hrs passed I called nice girl answered I explained I already did the *228 and that I actually did a hard master reset wiped the phone and settings clean updated the IOS to 4.2.10 then something about the phones software I guess I'm running 1.0.5 or something old she tells me I should have received a text on how to upgrade I told her the only texts I received from Verizon were my bill is due and another thanking me for my payment. We went through toggling stuff off and on for about 30 mins and testing outbound calls to #832 I put it on speaker told her its saying calling and call failed over and over again then she said she thinks she sees the problem but doesn't have access to fix it and needs to put me on hold. She picked back up conferenced the call and I went over steps taken with the gentleman I explained that when I was on hold I got flooded with SMS texts so it was going to work now that's the only way I know when I have service is when every text sent to me comes rushing in at once. He then checked to see if calls I made were hitting the server I provided numerous telephone numbers I attempted to call that failed I explained my mother is having exact issue and another friend that was in my area of Friday provided the other people having issues cell numbers and I was told a tech would look into it in 4 days I made sure I asked for network ticket #. Initially I thought this was only happening at night but today I attempted calls in the am same thing. The reps were very nice. Just under 30days back and so far not so good I've had them in the past never an issue my mom and dad past 9 years never an issue until recently. Anyone else in Massachusetts having this issue. I don't want to leave Verizon because generally there coverage is better in New England then the others I've tried in past 3 years.
It sound more like a capacity problem on your local mobile phone cell site, especially the system busy message. Have you tried your mobile phone at a different location, on a different cell site?
How is it that you are posting your messages from a mobile phone, is it a different mobile you are using?

Airport network connected on full bars but "no internet connection" and missing lock icon!
this is really frustrating!
I'm using wireless in my house. when i click on my network it connects and it shows perfect connection which is full bars.
on Network Preferences it says that i'm connected to the Airport but when i go to Safari it shows "You are not connected to the Internet" so i click on Network Diagnostic where the 3 network status on top has the green indicator but the ISP, Internet and Server show red and failed.
I don't think there's anything wrong with my internet connection since I'm able to go online using my sister's computer and also on my iPhone.
There's also usually a Lock icon/symbol next to my network's name but when i'm connected to my network the Lock icon seems to be missing but it still shows full bars connection. I really don't get how it's possible to be connected to a network, but no internet connection, while i can access the internet on other devices.
Please help me out here. I've tried ways like going to library>preferences then put the system configuration into Trash, and going to Network Preferences and removing the Airport service and creating a new one.
and one more thing. all mentioned above are when i clicked on Advanced on network preferences then i clicked on TCP/IP and changed the Configure IPv4 from Using DHCP to Manually. When i'm back to using DHCP there's an exclamation point over the airport icon on the top bar and it says no internet connection.Got my own question answered by a colleague.
He had me create another "Location" in the network pane of System Preferences, then choose it and click Apply. I created a new location which I called 'Airport', chose it and clicked Apply and sure enough, an IP address showed up and all is well.

FULL bars -- Drop Call-- NO bars -- FULL bars ahhhhhh
So I bought this 8gb iphone thinking it was the greatest thing since sliced bread (and it is, when it wants to be) and then I start getting this sequence of "FULL bars --> Drop Call--> NO bars --> FULL bars" I went to Apple store and they said it was an ATT network problem. SO I went to ATT and they said you need a new SIM card and after that whole riggim and role, it still does this dropping a call when I have full bars and then after it says call failed it will drop to 0 bars and then jump right back up to FULL bars all in a matter of 3 seconds. So who's the problem here?
I'm in San Francisco, and have plenty-o-service at my office (and most places, in fact) - five bars just about everywhere except for my home, which is obscured by a hill and other houses.
Anyhow, the same problems you report started the afternoon I did the 1.1.3 update. Nary a dropped call before that update. It's really irritating, as I use it for my work phone - especially on conference calls.
Say 'hi' to Boston for me! My wife and I just moved from Boston to San Francisco in September...
Until the next update, I think we might just be stuck with this... Apple has been dropping the ball in regards to quality-of-software lately, as a video editor, I can just say that there have been many, many issues with 'busted' pro-apps post-leopard. Tisk Tisk! -

Hello my fellow iPhone 4s users...
i have been going around the web for solution to the lost signal. Upon further investigation and diagnosis with my iPhone and other iPhone with a combination of chnage of sim between phones, resetting the network, hard reset and restoring a few times, it still persist. My analysis is that the iOS 5 >Settings>General>Cellular Data is the culprit. It does not have an option of switching between Edge and 3G (unlike the previous iOS lower than 5.0 or 5.0.1) It always stays on 3G. Now comes the trickiest part of my analysis. For networks having mid to low signal in areas, the updated dual antenna of the iPhone 4s switches automatically between 3G and normal signal. However, since it has no option to go down to Edge, it "automatically revert back to the original signal status". Sometimes from a very strong signal to a low signal area, it shows full bar of signal. but when you try to send an sms or make a call, it fails.
Conclusion:
I believe Apple has been digging deep with their softwate developers and checking the hardware of the iPhone 4s. And if my analysis is correct, they may have to incorporate the option of EDGE and 3G again.
Temporary Solution:
For low reception/signal areas, actually NONE... we have to wait for the update by Apple.
So either use our iPhone 4s as an expensive iPod on poor reception/signal areas and transfer our sim cards temporarily to another phone or have your phone put to AIRPLANE MODE on-off again. -
Airport Extreme, Full Bars No Connect?
Please forgive me if this has been answered, but I can't find it. I recently moved and changed service providers from Bellsouth DSL to Cable. I've tried reconfiguring my Base Station with no success. I have 2 lap tops and a Iphone ...They all show my network and full bars, but none will connect? I would like to have internet connected directly to my tower, then out of my tower to the base station. I'm pretty sure this worked for me prior to the move (Basically I don't want my tower to connect wirlessly). I'm not sure what I need to do. Please help.
First configure your network as I described in my last reply.
Then setup your AEBS as follows...
AirPort Extreme Base Station Setup (AEBS) w/High-Speed Cable Modem
Perform a "hard" reset of the AEBS

Full Bars & Intermittent Internet
So I'm on my school's wifi and I get full bars but after a few minutes the internet doesn't work.
I have to turn airport off and then on again which works most of the time.
Kinda driving me crazy.
Not sure if this is fixable on my end but I'm just wondering if anybody knows what the problem could be.
Maybe a general direction to help my searches would be really helpful as well because I'm coming up with nothing on google.Your contacts are backed up in whatever application you use on your computer. For Windows machines it is Outlook 2003 or 2007 or Windows Contacts for Vista, Outlook Express for older ones. For Mac machines it is Address Book (I belive, don't use Mac). That is where your contact information is for you to re-sync to the computer after a restore as a new phone.

Apps taking more than 5 seconds to open
My iPhone 3GS is running iOS4.0 and recently, all applications take more than 5 seconds to open. Whenever i open an application, it will only open / load after 5 seconds. Help is needed here

CS5 - Help copy from another application and paste into CS5
I am not able to copy an image from another application and paste into my CS5 image. I can paste the image into any other program except for CS5. Does anyone know how this issue can be fixed? Very frustrating, since it is such a simple process. Than
