Full Directory option on auto attendant consoles
Hi All,
I have been following the guide and there is something that isn't clear. Is the full directory setting mapped to the ldap settings on the cucm? if i have added a local user manually on cucm will this not show on the full directory of the auto-attendant console?
I have already configured the settings on server to sync contacts.
Please advise.
Thanks
Yes, all End Users (not Application Users) from CUCM should appear in the CUxAC directory provided that it meets any rules you have configured. By default it should pull everything over. This does not happen in realtime so you may need to force a sync, most commonly through a service restart.

I have added two new extension on CUCM, Directory not showing in attendant console even after resynch on CUCM and attendant cosnole
Any idea?Hello,
Can you tell us what versions of CUCM and CUxAC you are using? Just extensions alone in CUCM will not sync to the corporate directory within the attendant console application. You will at least have to have user's associated with those extensions and depending on your rule set within the console that should then bring those extensions into the console directory.
Thanks,

Directory not showing in attendant console
I have added two new extension on CUCM, Directory not showing in attendant console even after resynch on CUCM and attendant cosnole
Any idea?Under Engineering ----Service Management, can u check LDAP service is running.
Also, under system configuration ---directory synchronisation ----Enable contact synchronisation is enabled.
Also, u are creating this user in AD and then, fetching to CUCM and Attendant Console is finally these users as CCM Source.

Maintaining the Directory in Cisco CallManager Attendant console
I have names in the directory of the cisco callmanager attendant console users that no longer work for the company. The numbers and names have been deleted from the call manager but not the directory used by the attendant console. How do I go about cleaning up the directory for the attendant console?
Hi,
Thanks for the doc..4* for the info.
This basically explains what I've checked already. Cynth, seeing as you've checked on the AC PC that there's no userlists file, and we now know you have 2 files present on the callmanager I would suggest the following to resolve your problem:
1) Delete both the AutoGenerated.txt and CorporateDirectory.txt from the CallManager Attendant Console directory (I've put the path in my previous post). You can copy them off this directory if you want a copy for keep safe.
2) Re-start the TCD service again.
3) Shut down the AC client and re-open it.
This should basically re-populate the directory on the CallManager (once you re-start the service). Then when you open up AC again it should copy across the up-to-date corporate directory list.

Auto attendant console database error message
Hello,
While I add the Speed Dial numbers, I get "database update error" error message. On Cisco website the solution is disabling the Antivirus. But it still gives me the same error message although I disabled my antivirus!!!
I use CUBAC Version 3.1.1.519
Any other solution?
Thanks,
MehdiHi,
Have you tried rebooting the CUBAC server?

Unified Business Attendant Console not syncing user directory
I have a customer that has CallManager 8.6.1 along with the Unified Business Attendant Console 8.6.1.9. They are not syncing their user directory with LDAP. All end users are put in manually via the CCMAdmin page. This system has been in place since January. In the past few months, around eight or so new users have been added to call manager, but they were not showing up int the attendant console. I tried everything from restarting services to eventually restarting the server and the new users finally showed up. I thought the reboot had fixed the issue, however I had them add a new user to call manager and even after waiting a few hours the new user did not show up. This is my first time dealing with the attendant console server so any help would be appreciated.
Make sure you have setup a schedule in the WebAdmin for the sync to run, I normally set a schedule of running this Every 1 day at 02:00, this is when the sync will be done and the new users will show.
Restarting the server is forcing a new sync, this should not be needed if the schedule is configured correctly. -
I need a multiple message voice mail app for Iphone 4S that also provides an auto-attendant, e.g the caller can dial 1 for one of business's or 2 for the other. Each of these options will need to have a different voice mail greeting. Help please?
There are no alternative voicemail apps - the core functionality of the phone can not be replaced.
You'll have to look for an external service, that can then forward calls for each caller onto the correct phone.
At our business we use Voipfone.co.uk which allows multiple phone lines to come into one VOIP account. -
Cisco Unified Department Attendant Console Server 8.6.1.9 Directory Issue
Hi guys i have an issue in My CUDAC, I already installed the Attendant Console Client on the operator´s pc and when i try to find an user by it´s Last Name, First Name or Number extension i can´t find it, and on the Directory Area i can´t see the phones. The CUDAC 8.6.1.9 is on w2008 server SP2 with ISS, NETFRAMEWORK 3.5, SQL EXPRESS. I have a CCM 8.0.3 and i don´t have presence server. The question is must i install a presence server? and what can cause the directory issue?; i noticed when i make a search request on the directory area, there is a message at the bottom of the Attendant Console Operator wich says "Database Searching" but doesn´t display nothing.
Please if someone knows about this issue let me now.Hello Juan
I haven't got in front of me but can if you look on the server for the directory sync settings I beleive you can sync on partition and or department. Make the partition search to "none" and then in the Department field you enter the value that you have entered in the "end user" department field on cucm. They must match as CUDAC looks for the value you have entered in the Department field in the cucm end user menu
I am having trouble with the presence side as well. It was working but after a reboot it has stopped working. All the phones in the directory have a cross, By the way you don't need a presence server for this.
Thanks

Cisco Enterprise Attendant Console 8.0 - Second Console Queue
Hello Guys,
We have 1 reception console in the head office and we want to setup 2nd reception console in different location (London).
we have 2 operators license on CUEAC, I setup second operator with a seperat queue. We want to redirect the calls to London auto attendant (unity) when the second console is not "logged in" or busy. Right now they both are going to head office auto attendant in the Unity.
Is it possible to keep them seperate so each queue can point to its prompts in the Unity?
Thanks
Sunnyi dont have this option, I am running System Version: 8.0.0.5. Does that mean I have to upgrade? I was looking into upgrading to version 9 but I am not sure if the upgrade is free and if there will be any issue upgrading.

Problem with Cisco Attendant console
Hi
We Have Cisco attendant console 8.x at site .
As per user they are
" able to log into the “Attendant Console” and access the outgoing numbers located at the bottom of the screen. As far as the internal directory, it does not allow them to access due to the database connection issue. They are getting error “database not connected” on Attendant Console.
Can you please suggest solution to resolve this . Thanks

Unity -- Best practice for Attendant Console and Operator
I am fairly new to Voice Over IP. I am in a new position for managing our phones, e.g., Moves, Adds, Changes and Call Handler management. We use version 8.6.2.
Our system is comprised of 19 different buildings, with 1 to 2 Attendant Consoles per building. When our phone network was set up, people who have Attendant Consoles did not want callers to have the option to leave a message if someone is away from their Attendant Console momentarily. Is this best practice? What are most companies doing with their setups?
In addition, in what capacity is the Operator account of value or can it be deleted? We have discovered that if people choose the System Directory Handler, they can "find" their way to the Operator voicemail by pressing "0" and leave a message. However, this voicemail box has not been monitored, thus their are over 300 messages in it.
I know I will have other questions, but if someone has a a good way of setting this up, I would be very thankful.
LaurelI'll give it a go!

You can't actually delete the Operator (It's a default User Account). Just go into the System Directoy Handler, click edit > caller input > if you're feeling bloody minded, choose "hang up" on the "If Caller Presses 0", otherwise either create a new call handler or point it to an existing one.

I have to deal with both situations. Some locations refuse a voice mail, some want it. It's normally at the wish of the department head. Just make sure that call does not ring forever or otherwise make the caller upset.

Attendant Console for CUCM 8 and above, My Solution.
I work for a community college in which we employ a full time operator and have several people to fill in for breaks and vacations. Having an attendant console is very important. To complicate matters, we need to have more that the corperate directory in the console for numbers such as departments (Admissions, Financial Aid, etc.) as well as fax numbers and other references.
The attendant console that Cisco provided up untill version 8 met our needs. We upgraded and purchased CUEAC. And for 3 grand, we got a pile of crap with only one seat. The big problem is that it does not support directory integration, does not support incremental search, and has one of the worst implementation designs I have yet to see.
We have tried many consoles, all lacking in one area or another. The one that best met our needs was the most expensive, and had the smallest feature set. We could not justify spending money on somthing that is not at least as good as the free product that cisco once offered.
My crazy solution: Use CUCMAC (Assistant Console). For reference, we have UCCX with Basic Seats (No Desktop Agent).
Cons: Does not support imcremental search or directory integration.
Pros: Free, Unlimited seats, one search entry searches all fields.
Implementation:
Created a dummy "Manager" which allowed me to be able to create "Assistants" (operators).
At this point each person that is to act as an operator can now log into this software with their network username and password (we are LDAP Integrated). They can see and control the lines on their phones, and the software is almost identicle to the Attendant Console Software they were use to.
Created and ACD queue for the operator and added an ACD DN to each phone. The users go Ready and Not Ready using the IPPA.
In our situation, we have the full corperate directory, which for most companies is fine. In our case we need additional numbers for the Departments and such. Becuase we are LDAP integrated, we will need to sync to an additional Directory source for the missing numbers. I wish we could use " Contacts" in AD, but becuase they dont have user ID's, cisco will not import them.
To summarize operation, the operator logs into the ACD queue and used Assitant Desktop as a user interface for the phone. The only thing that differs from Attendant Console, is that you have to use the phone to log in and out, not the desktop software.
Please let me know what you thing, and any ideas how to improve this setup would be greatly appreciated!Bradley,
I cannot comment on the implementation you have gone through but I can comment on your comments about CUEAC.
There is going to be a new release in June this year which will support directory integration directly to AD as well as the CUCM sync which is available today.
The GUI iteself is to undergo a redesign in version 10, the date on this release is not yet known.
Incremental search is something which is not on the roadmap but is something I will discuss with the Product Manager to see if it can be considered. -
Hi Guys,
I am configuring Exchange Auto Attended (Exchange 2013) and I've managed to get all of my personalized prompts in place but there is one exchange default one that I can't seem to find to disable...It's the one that says
"I couldn't hear you, please say the name of the person you want to contact, or the option you'd like to choose"
That final prompt doesn't sound professional, I am wondering if it's part of some kind of timeout or if it can even be changed.
THanks
BryanHow have you been disabling them? You can search for the prompt in the <Program Files>\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V15\UnifiedMessaging\Prompts\<language>. They're pretty well named, once I find it, I'll usually
rename it .old and make a copy of the smallest blank one that's in the directory (sort by size) with the same name as the one you want to replace. Of course, you'll have to rinse and repeat on potentially many servers here and watch that it doesn't come
back with a patch, but it's one method.

IP Phone call forward to Attendant Console - reach Attendant Console Voicemail
Hello,
I have an old Attendant Console based on CUCM7.1(5) with CUC 9.
Most of my user have voice mail box.
My issue is following: Users forward there phone to AC pilot point during lunch time or meetings.
When a call is then transfered to Attendant Console, if it is not answered, it is redirected to Unity connection and reach User Voice Mail box.
This is the good way of working for all users (to reach first redirect number mailbox), but my customer wants in the particular case of calls forwarded to standard, to reach standard voice mail box.
How can we achieve this?
If I setup a Translation Pattern on CUCM to translate a dummy number into attendant console Pilot Point number, and forward user to this dummy number, does Translation Pattern replace the first redirect number?
Thanks for your help.
ThibautIt is likely that they are transferring a call to the operator on a line they are not logged into instead of the queue.
All calls should be routed through the queue in order to receive full CTI control of that call, I would suggest you create a speed dial with the DN of the CTI Route Point for the operators queue and then transfer the call to that instead of the operator directly, this way the call sits in the queue with any other callers.
