Full Flash web page

Hi I'am having a little trouble with my site I would like to

flash page that covers the whole browser withou any scrollers on

  • How do I embed a youtube video in a flash web page?

I am attempting to embed a youtube video in a flash web page I created. I have been able to do this in html on static sites and thought I might be able to do the same in flash. Can anyone walk me thru the steps to do this?

    Thank you Rob,
I am VERY new to actionscript and have an additional question:
I saw this in the beginning notes of the document link you sent me:
Use the following URL to load the chromeless player into your
application and build your own custom controls in Flash:
    http://www.youtube.com/apiplayer?version=3
how do I do this? Do I do this in actionscript (how) or the import
    feature?
Any additional assistance you give me will be greatly appreciated

  • Entering a blog into a flash web page

I want to pull the first blog from a blog page into a flash web page. Anybody have an idea how I would go about this, or where to start?

    1.  all of your html and swf is client-side.
    2.  it's client-side so, yes.
    3.  yes.

  • How can I get a Japanese flash web page to display 100% correctly?

I've tried everything I can think of but I can't get some of this web site's font to display correctly. Some of the flash shows in the correct, Japanese, characters, but some of it shows as code. If I log in as a different user, and set that user's International Language preferences to Japanese, the web page displays correctly. But, when I change users, and go back to the English user, the page displays in a mix of Japanese and messed-up code.
    Here is the page: http://weathernews.jp/livecam/
If I click onto a different page of that website, http://weathernews.jp/map/
the writing appears as Japanese in the box, at the bottom of the map.
But, if you click on that map, and zoom in 3-times, to the city level, the font in the box under the hourly weather and weekly weather appears as code, and not Japanese.
I'm guessing that it is a problem with the computer booting-up as being English or Japanese, and the browser, then not being able to detect which version of flash to run, the Japanese or English version, cannot display the font correctly.
Why does it happen only on some pages and not all of the pages on that site?
    Can it be fixed?
    If so, how?
    Thanks!

Yeah, I tried Opera and Firefox, but I get the same garbled text. The only thing that makes that page open and display correctly is switching to a different user, and making that user's main language Japanese, in the international settings.
Of course none of this is all that important, I mean, it's about viewing a weather page, but I am just curious why some of the Flash is read or written so that an English language set user can see some of it displayed correctly, but not all of it, where as a user set to Japanese language settings can get all pages correctly.
I know it has to do with how the Flash Macromedia sees the main language setting for the computer, but what I don't get, is how come a user using Japanese as the main language can read English and Japanese Flash pages (pages with English commanded Java come up correctly), but using English as the main language only allows me to view Flash pages written using English commands. Can I change my Flash program to read Japanese pages, without changing my computers main language to Japanese? Or am I stuck with a Flash program that must match the main language the user is using?

  • Flash web page

    Hi all,
I need to build a dashboard that will handle large amounts of data retreived from a datawarehouse. I have a couple of doubts regarding the effeciency of flash for my dashboard.
details: Adobe Flash builder 3 or 4
Large amounts of Date retreived from datawarehouse
              Dynamically generated Charts
    questions:
    1) Regardless of whether I am using the MVC approach; What part of a Flash webpage runs on the server and what part runs on the client
    2) Is a flash-built web page scalable?
    3) Can flash dynamically generate charts?
    Thanks Guys!!!
ps. the contender is silverlight but I'll ask about that on their page..

    1.  all of your html and swf is client-side.

  • Loading mulitple Adobe Flash web pages makes mouse cursor disappear

I have a 2011 Mac Mini with OSX 10.7 Lion Server
Regardless of the Browser used  - if I load mulitple Adobe Flash based Flickr photo slide show web pages, after 15 seconds my Mouse Cursor completely disappears and makes navigating the mac rather impossible.
Its really buggy and forces me to click or "right click" (Option Click) randomly on the Desktop with the hope that I might briefly see the cursor return so I can close the browsers.
Does not matter if i use Safari, Firefox or Chrome.
These are the pages in question which give me grief -
    http://www.flickr.com/groups/warbirds/pool/with/8032123616/lightbox/
    http://www.flickr.com/photos/fluxstreamcommunication/show/
    http://www.flickr.com/photos/x-ray_delta_one/show/
must click the "play " to start the slide show, have all three running at the same time.
And withing 10 seconds on my mac mini - NO Curser.
Even if I try to move the mouse outside the Browser display area  - to where i clairvoyantly might consider the cursor should be over the Desktop.
Typically results in the invisible cursor accidently creating numerous new folders on the desktop, as I frantically attempt to make the cursor re-appear.
Totally maddening - and I have the Identical problem on Two separate 2011 Macs. (iMac 27 and Mac Mini)
My local  Apple Genius Bar support person suggested I back up my data and perform  "OSX Recovery"
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4718
Stating its possble that my Adobe Flash was installed wrong.
    I have the latest updates
    OSX 10.7.4
    Flash Version 11.4.402.265

    Update.
    This solved the problem
My local  Apple Genius Bar support person suggested this sequence and it fixed my disappearing cursor!
    1) Back Up personal Data
    2) Perform "OSX Recovery"
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4718
    3) Perform the Apple Software update
    4) Then install latest Adobe Flash
    This fixed my problem!
Now I'll do the same fix for my 2011 iMac 27" with the identical issue.

I am not expert in these, but please check out the following things and see whether it would solve your issue. (All these changes can be easily rolled back in case I'm wrong :). So make note of what you do)
As per your httpd.conf, you have chosen an automatic configuration of Apache by OWCI installer itself. What it does is create an imageserver.conf file in a separate directory and these settings will be included in your httpd.conf as you can see in the first line: Include "C:/bea/alui/plumtreeconf/".
If you check the imageserver.conf in that location, you would find a line like: Alias /imageserver/ "C:/bea/alui/ptimages/imageserver/". This aliases the original path "C:/bea/alui/ptimages/imageserver/" to /imageserver"
To confirm whether this is done right, check the following:
    1. Acces 'http://<server ip / server name / localhost >/' from your browser
This should display the Apache home page (as per your httpd.conf, it uses the default port 80; so no port number required)
    2. Access 'http://<server ip>/imageserver/' from your browser
This should display the directory structure (if its not disabled) inside your 'C:/bea/alui/ptimages/imageserver/' folder. Also confirm that all the subfolders are accessible.
    3. If all the above is right, it means that your imageserver settings are right. Please check your portalconfig.xml for the correct settings: For example, <setting name="HTTPPort"> should be 7001 in your case. If its something else, change it and restart Weblogic for the settings to take effect.
    Hope this helps.

  • Flash Web Pages Very Slow

Hi all, i've noticed on my iBook G4 1.33, 1GB, OSX 10.4.7 that any web pages that contain flash are really slow and not very responsive. I appreciate that flash movies are probably more intensive to the machine but having come from the PC where flash makes no difference regardless of your spec im finding it a little frustrating. Am i doing something wrong?
    Cheers

    aghh right,
basically on both the links above, i have no problems,
my problems are whenever there is flash ads or flash movie
streams, my scrolling is so bad, i have to go back to the old
    fashion drag the bar.
i did actually think i had cured it with a reinstall of flash
    player, but its back again.
as much as it pains me to say this....iam real tempted to go
    back to the dreaded I.E.
as my main interests are gaming, virtually all my sites i
visit are every flash orientated, so to be honest, i dont know what
    to do.
one thing for sure its dam annoying.

  • Firefox 26.0 loads flashing web page

I've notice for sometime now that my Windows 8.1 running Firefox 26.0 when loading pages and adding several tabs the pages start flashing and load slowly. It's as if takes it's time and then it flashes the page once it's done. The pages spin while loading until the action is completed.

You can make your Firefox fast again. Try out these steps http://mzl.la/PMJRIb

  • Flash / web page reload question

On the main page of my web site I inserted a Flash object
that plays an mp3 file automatically.
Problem is, when the user clicks on a link to go to an html
sub-page then returns to the main page (using the browser's back
button or the "Home" button I provide), the audio clip plays all
over again. I do not want this.
How can I get the AS code on the main page to execute only
once per session? I do not want the mp3 to keep auto-playing every
time the user goes from a sub-page back to the main page. Only when
a user formally closes their browser then reopens it and returns to
the main page at a later session should the mp3 file play again.
    Thanks.

You want mp3 keep playing without breaks (restarts) while
    user keeps using
    your navigation system?
    If it's so..
then maybe it's a right time to go back in time and use html
    frames?
Place your mp3 player in the top frame, but whole content and
    navigation
    system in the bottom frame.

  • Full width web page?

I have created and have up and running a great website (www.i-drone.co.uk)that i created with iWeb. However, the webpage is not the full width of the page? is there a way of making use of the full width of the page, without the bars either side?
    Thanks

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. You can increase the width of the content portion of the page with the Inspector/Page/Layout pane:
However, the theme that you choose, Darkroom, does not scale up to larger widths because it uses a fixed width image for the spotlighted area in the center.
You could simulate that theme, except for the spotlight but taking a screenshot of the textured area and using that file for the page background. Or make the page background transparent or none and use the textured file for the browser background.

  • Download flash web page errors

I am using Chromium without flash player. I go to this page to install flash player http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ and just get an empty div.

That page links to the broken page

The issue is they cannot handle Windows 10 users. Page renders ok for Windows 7 users.

  • Full custom web page on WLC? Not possible?

    Hello Guys!
I created a custom web authentication page, and successfully loaded this page on the WLC.
    This is working fine
But ... when the user press "submit" button and authenticates, the "Default WLC Web Authentication" Pop-up shows up!  "You are now logged in now ... and so on".
And if you configure user policy, to let just one user to login at the same time, the second user fails to log in, and is redirected directly to the WLC's Internal Web Authentication page.
Is it possible to disable these pages?

    No, nothing happens
I can see this : when I am connected to the Access Point, and type the url ( www.google.com) I am redirected to the custom web authentication page, and to the internal authentication login page ( Because this internal page, I get an "succesfull login page" after login). ( Ofcourse at first, I can see just my custom page )

  • QuickTime 7.1.3 pro wont open flash web pages even after enablling flash?

I have tried everything I can think of to fix this problem. I reinstalled flash
I reinstalled quicktime I tuned on enable flash in system preferences.
I still get Big Q with ? any help would be great.
    Mini   Mac OS X (10.4.7)

QuickTime Player can only be used on Flash (.swf) files that are "published" (a feature of Flash export) as version 5, or lower. Newer Flash files will not open in QuickTime or its browser plug-in.
Turn off Flash (remove the check mark) for Flash playback via QuickTime in the QuickTime System Preferences/Advanced MIME Settings button and restart your browser for these changes to take effect.
This also assumes you have a current version of the Flash Player browser plug-in installed to view Flash files.
