Full HTML Support

I haven't played with CS3 yet, so I don't know if this
already exists... but, are there any plans for full HTML support
within flash for future releases?
Basically, if I have a flash movie that utilizes a large
portion of the screen, and I need to display some HTML content, I'm
stuck. It's not feasible to use iFrames or floating divs in this
situation. It would be great if I could load the HTML page into a
movieClip and have full support of all attributes.
Thanks.

No big changes in HTML support in Flash CS3 Professional.
Some slight mods from Flash 8:

    AS of yesterday certain web sites I regularly visit stopped having full html, at least I think that is how to describe it--no video screens, no web page designs. Those affected are buffalostate.edu and democracynow.org. No such problem in Explorer. Other web sites seem OK.

  • Still no full retina support, even with the new CC Apps?

    Hello over there!
    I just bought the full CC abo, after trying PS and Indesign and becoming a fan of the new workflow, that is possible with the upcoming new CC Apps (Muse, Edge Tools...).
    Now, after getting things right and downloading the needed Apps to my Macbook Pro (15" Retina) - I was very disappointed. The updated CC version of Dreamweaver and even some of the completely new Apps still have blurry text fields and buttons/layout graphics in it. Acrobat Pro XI is still a laggy, blurry fail on retina. The Mac OS Preview is sharp and scrolls a 600 pages PDF in seconds.
    I mean... Srsly? This would be okay if the retina MBP came out last month. But it came last year. I'm really a big fan of the Adobe workflow and functionality, this is why I upgraded and decided to spend some hundreds of dollars for it ( and become friends with the new and scary rent model ). But the best program is a pain, when your eyes start being overly stressed after 20 minutes of work, especially when you're already looking at hundres of code lines (And I'm 21 years old, so I'm glad to still have those good working eyes..). I remember when I fell totally in love with Dreamweaver because it was able to handle the amount of information in a good stucturized and clearly visible way. But the only really sharp and "look like it fits all together"-Apps are PS, AI and ID as far as I tried for now.
    Definitely affected are: DW, Muse, Edge Animate and Reflow (What? They are new!?)
    So, thats my question: Are there any official statements that this will be fixed? Im confused because Adobe is just partying about the retina-compatibility updates last fall/winter in blogs and descriptions. The blurry App elements are not mentioned. I really want to know this, to be able to take back my contract and abo in time and get a refund. Would be sad, but the only option to me.
    Thanks very much for reading and helping in advance. I really do not want to troll or sound agressive. The Adobe Suite is a very very big product and it does very good. But I'm simply disappointed about the handling of retina support, which is essential for users like me.
    English is not my main language, I hope everything was clear.
    Best regards,
    D. Fuchs

    Hi David,
    thank you for your effort. If I remember correctly you said you’ll also hand through this issue/question to the tech guys. Does this mean I’ll get further information? Because this article you found is about 10 month old and I’d like to get this issue verified.
    Furthermore, Acrobat (XI) is not even mentioned in that article and this is what brings the most problems.
    I really don’t like to be a stressing customer, but I think a official answer to this issue is definitely possible und should be made.
    I’ll attach a few hardcopy pictures of the issue. Don’t know if it helps, but it proofs.
    Thanks again and best regards,
    D. Fuchs

    Hi D.
    I found this http://blogs.adobe.com/creativelayer/new-macbook-pro-retina-display-su pport/
    I believe has been added to Photoshop, Illustrator and Lightroom so far. Hopefully it will be added to Dreamweaver soon too.

  • Getting full ZFS support under Solaris 10 3/05

    Hello,
    I have Solaris 10 3/05, and would like to get full ZFS support as easy as possible (ie, without installing all the patches I can get through smpatch).
    Is it sufficient to add the 122640-05 patch (which is in the recommended cluster) and follow the instructions at the end of its readme file : "To get the complete zfs feature please also install the following patches... ... ..." ?
    Would it be compatible with my old install of Solaris 10 (3/05) ?
    Or is there a special cluster that would add all the ZFS support ?
    Thank you.
    fab

    You might be better off downloading solaris 10 11/06 and doing an upgrade install.

  • When will Macs have full arabic support in all it's programs or at least on emails, iWork,

    I am a proud Mac user from Kuwait, yet I was realy embariced when my friend tried to use my Mac to edit a few things to his microsoft office word report we were both surprised that their was no Arabic support, he said to me that my laptop was complex &amp; that i'm better off with a hp laptop, any how I'm still a proud Mac user thanks to your brelianr software &amp; hardware, but I had install Windows 7 on my Mac just for the Arabic support, any how I am ready to remove windows from my Mac &amp; become a full Mac computer user as soon as the Arabic support is available so when will it be available ?

    MS Word for OS X has never supported Arabic (or Hebrew or any Indic langauge).  I think it is in fact the only word processor in the universe which cannot do Arabic on a Mac.   Common sense should tell you that the place to complain about that is Microsoft, not Apple.
    OS X does have full Arabic support.  The best word processor to use is Mellel, but TextEdit, Nisus Writer, and OpenOffice should also work OK.  Plus of course Mail, Safari, etc.  iWork apps have bugs.

  • xsl:output method="html"/ - supported?

    Is the otutput method "html" supported in
    the recent version of the XML/XSL parser?
    I was trying to use the <BR> tag with the
    <xsl utput method="xml"/> declaration but
    I got an XSLException error message
    indicating a not well-formed XML document.
    Then I tried the following output method
    declaration: <xsl utput method="html"/>
    but I got the same result?!
    Here's a simple XSL stylesheet I was using:
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform">
    <xsl utput method="html"/>
    <xsl:template match="/">
    <HTML>
    <HEAD></HEAD>
    <BODY>
    <P>
    Blah blah<BR>
    More blah blah<BR>
    </P>
    </BODY>
    </HTML>
    </xsl:template>
    My question is: "How do I use a not
    well-formed tags (like <IMG>, <BR>, etc.)
    in a XSL stylesheet?"
    Thank you very much in advance!
    Cheers.
    Georgi

    Sorry for jumping in on this thread, but I have a question regarding you reply. I have an XSL stylesheet that preforms XML to HTML conversion. Everything works correctly with the exception of those HTML tags that are not weel formed. Using your example if I have something like:
    <xsl:stylesheet xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform">
    <xsl:output method="html"/>
    <input type="text" name="{NAME}" size="{DISPLAY_LENGTH}" maxlength="{LENGTH}"></input>
    </xsl:stylesheet>
    It would render HTML in the format of
    <HTML>
    <input type="text" name="in1" size="10" maxlength="20"/>
    </HTML>
    While IE can handle this Netscape can not. Is there anyway to generate completely cross browser complient HTML with XSL?
    Thanks!

  • Full Screen Support?

    I usually borrow books through eLibraries Manitoba to read on Adobe Digital Edition. The most painful part of reading books on Adobe Digital Edition is the lack of full screen support like the one that comes with Adobe Reader and even Kindle reader. Full screen makes your reading experience so much more comfortable and you are able to focus on the material than the UI. Is there any plan to bring full screen support in 1.8?

    RE: Full Screen Support, Has it been implemented yet?
    I fully agree that full screen support is vital to reading on a MacBook (or any sort of personal computer) for the reasons stated.
    I would add that this is natively the case with Zinio's reader, Apple Pages, Ipad, etc.
    May I ask if Full Screen Support been implemented yet? Regards, Graham.

    Hello Alex,
    I don't have an answer for you.
    But, can you try to use http://drmtest2.adobe.com:8080/Content/anonymous.f4v with locally hosted OSMF player? This content doens't require user/pass info.
    I'm wondering that Google TV's flash player doesn't support prompt dialog.
    http://drmtest2.adobe.com/AccessPlayer/player.html requires flash player 11. That's why it won't be loaded with flash player 10.x.
    Thanks,

  • Does tag_pagecontent want full html or just a snippet?

    Wondering what the best way to set up my templates are. I'm trying to develop locally on a temporary site so I can upload the full site when I'm done. Should I be coding what {tag_pagecontent} grabs as a full HTML page or is it acceptable to start with what the page content itself would be?

    Hi Steve,
    Deleted your other post which was a bit messed up and asking the same thing.
    Your template has all your containing elements, head, structure, layout etc as any other CMS template. Your page content is the main area for your content. For pages they are just the text, images etc to form the page content.

  • [DUPLICATE] Possibility to disable OSX Lion native full screen support?

    The newly implemented (v14.0.1 as far as I can tell) support for native OSX Lion fullscreen supports makes it very useless in a multi monitor setup. The old full screen support let me use the fullscreen for Firefox (and not letting window widgets get in the way) and continue using other applications on the other screens.
    Is it possible to disable the OSX Lion full screen support? Otherwise I think it would be a welcome addition to the next update.

    Locking as duplicate. Replies should be posted in the original thread, here:

  • Possibility to disable OSX Lion native full screen support?

    The newly implemented support (in v14.0.1 as far as I can tell)) for native OSX Lion full screen support makes fullscreen pretty useless in a multi monitor setup. With the previous version it was possible to continue using the other monitors for other tasks.
    Is it possible to disable the support in some way to actually have useful fullscreen support again, i.e. the way it worked before v14.0.1? Otherwise such an option is needed in my opinion.

    I've built a simple addon that does just that: reverts the old pre-14 Fullscreen behavior. It isn't yet reviewed, so wouldn't show in searches until approved.
    Here's the direct link: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/old-lion-fullscreen/. Bugreports are welcome!

  • No full IPv6 support in Airport?

    Hi,
    While the Apple Airport Extreme seems to not interfere with basic IPv6 operation (not dropping IPv6 packets, etc.) it does however not seem to fully support it either.
    It does not seem possible to me to set an IPv6 address for the primary (or secondary) RADIUS server in the setting (in the windows configuration tool). Entering "2001:xxxx" or enclosed by "[]" does not work. It seems that the Airport only accepts IPv4 addresses...
    Maybe there is another way of setting an IPv6 address there? Or is it really the case that we have to stick to IPv4 here? In case yes, is there a possibility for an upgrade that includes full IPv6 support in the future?
    Thanks
    (posted in Airport section as this problem is most likely not restricted to the Airport Extreme)

  • How do i customize the new firefox so i can see the full html "title tag"? Its partially obscured in this new version.

    I am a webmaster/work in site development and need to see the FULL "title tag" or browser title of every page I visit. It's now partially obscured and I have to "view source" (the html source) in order to see the FULL title tag. Before it was completely visible; now I can only see a small part of it. How do I fix it so I can see the entire thing? I cannot drag the tab bar to make it bigger.
    I am talking about this <title>Ask a Question | Mozilla Support</title>; some title tags of some pages are much longer and obscured now in this new Mozilla version. I need to see the full thing! Please help!!!!

    '''<u>Method 1</u>'''<br>
    Simply hover the mouse cursor over the tab until the tooltip appears.
    '''<u>Method 2</u>'''<br>
    # Right-click an empty area of the tab bar and choose Customize.
    # Click the Title Bar button in the lower left to enable the title bar.

  • OWA Full Version - Supported Browsers?

    Our organization is facing an issue with users not being able to delete or move emails in the OWA. After much testing and research, we determined that users were able to use the full version of OWA without any issues using IE. However, in order to be able
    to move or delete emails in all other browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.) users are limited to using the light version of OWA. I have read that MS supports all of the aforementioned browsers with the full version of OWA. However, the full version only
    works with IE for our organization. Has anyone else experienced this issue and what, if anything, have you been able to do to resolve the issue other than have users to select the light version of OWA when using any browser other than IE?

    Hi,
    Please make sure "Use the blind and low vision experience" is unchecked in OWA.
